ALE IDOC to XML IDOC scenario using XML port

Hi,
I am working on ALE IDOC to XML IDOC scenario using XML port . The requirement is to place a XML IDOC on the application server using ALE IDOC scenario ( output type is created in NACE which is ALE enabled ).
Can anybody help me on the steps.

U can give a try as follows.
In the Partner Profile of Sender R/3 system,
Give the Receiver Party P_Party in the PartnerNo. Give the 'Business Partner' as logical System type.
In XI, Party Definition of P_Party
Give the following Alternative Identifier
Agency  -   Sender R/3  Business System
Scheme -   ALE#GP
Value    -    P_Party

  • Purchase order replication – extended classic scenario using XML proxy via PI

    Hi Experts
    Question:
In case of extended classic deployment is it possible to use XML proxy to
transfer SRM purchase orders to ECC? As we know as of SRM 7.01 its via RFC
whether SRM 7.02 onwards does SAP support XML for ECS too?
    Has
anyone read about this in any of the SAP forums?
Background: In our project, client have invested
heavily on XI and XI monitoring and troubleshooting, integrated to SAP SOLMAN.
And would like to opt for XML mode of transfer and reuse existing solution.
This is the main reason we would like to be very clear in our understanding
before we go back to client.
We appreciate your time and support.

    Dear Rahul,
    Thanks for you input
Let me give you an example of the behaviour:
in PPOMA_BBP TOG assigned to user has : DQ with $1000 and upper percentage 5%.
    User orders a PO  with quantity=1000, price $100;
No additional tolerances assigned in the PO itself
User tries to enter confirmation with quantity 1001 (so qty variance converted to currency amount results in $100 over delivery) So the confirmation is under both the 5% and the $1000 limit.
In that case I donu2019t receive an error message from the SRM, but the error message u201CBackend Purchase Order quantity exceeded by 1 EAu201D from ECC still prevents me from posting the Confirmation. And this is the problem I havenu2019t been able to solve so far.
So I want the TOG tolerance to be used. And I am also happy with the absolute limit always having priority over percentage limit...
But I am trying to find a way to get rid of the back end message (with assigning a tolerance to the PO itself as the will get rid of the absolute limit see my previous post.)
    Cheers

  • IDoc to soap synchronous scenario with BPM

    Hi,
I am working on IDoc to soap synchronous scenario using BPM. Here i am facing lot of soap exceptions in my production system. I handled the exceptions. The data getting excuted for the first time, the same data(just changed the description)is giving exceptions for the second time. Please let me know why the exceptions are getting, and different type of exceptions and solutions for the same.(Blog also is fine)
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pragathi.

The data getting excuted for the first time, the same data(just changed the description)is giving exceptions for the second
    time.
Ideally you should not get an exception for the same data....can you tell is the description and where are you getting the exception...is it a part of the SOAP message or some object?
An exception might have occured because the description would be something unacceptable by the target application.
and different type of exceptions and solutions for the same
there would be many blogs....your thread would be spammed...better make a search on SDN with exception text that you are getting.

Do you know if there is possibility to validate XML Digital Signature using XML DB (or PL/SQL) in Oracle 11g?
Let say I have CLOB/XMLType containing Digitally Signed XML, and I want to validate, that thsi is proper signature. I also have public key of signer (I could store it in CLOB or file or Oracle wallet).
    Is it possible to do?

this is what i got from someone...
but the links he gave are not opening up...
u have to place a picture there and have to load the digital signatures as Jpegs on to the server to OA top
and have to refer them in the XML for dynamically get the signature on the reports
when u select the properties of the picture placed in the XML template,

  • IDOC to XML file scenario with party

    Hi All,
I am developing a IDOC to XML file scenario with party in which I have extended the MATMAS idoc and configured the receiver FILE communication channel.

  • IDOC to PDF and XML via EMail: using InputAttachment interface in mapping

    Hello Together,
I am working on the following scenario:
IDOC --> Transformation Nr. 1 IDOC-XML; Transformation Nr.2 XML- PDF --> Email with 2 Attachments XML and PDF.
Till now Iu2019ve managed "IDOC to Email" with XML-Attachment. Therefore I used MailPackage and SwapBean. Unfortunately I didnu2019t see any possibility to send PDF attachment with MailPackage approach.
Thatu2019s why I decided to change the scenario in this way to avoid using of MailPackage:
u2022     first step: IDOC to FTP (2 XML files)
    u2022     second step: FTP (1. file = payload + 2. file= attachment) to Email with one XML-attachment
It works without MailPackage, but I still need the PDF-attachment. In the moment I am trying to read the XML-attachment,  to transform XML2PDF and to add the second attachment to the message inside of mapping . I use InputAttachment and OutputAttachment interfaces.
    http://help.sap.com/javadocs/pi/SP3/xpi/com/sap/aii/mapping/api/InputAttachments.html
Unfortunately the reading of the XML-attachment with u201CInputAttachementu201D interface inside of mapping doesnu2019t work. Tracing says: "there is no attachment".
    So my questions are:
    1. Is it possible to work with Input- and OutputAttachement interfaces inside of mapping? Or does it work only inside of adapter module?
    2. If it works inside of mapping, how can I test it in design time?
If you see any other way to solve my problem, let me know please.
Thank you a lot, regards Anna

    Question Nr. 1:
"... Mapping programs are executed in the Java part of SAP NetWeaver AS. Consequently, the mapping runtime transfers the message payload from the ABAP part of the SAP NetWeaver Application Server to the Java part before the mapping program is executed. Since mapping programs do not usually access any MIME attachments in a message, the default setting is for the mapping runtime to transfer the payload only and not the attachments. This applies for both attachments that are removed as part of MTOM optimization in the Web services runtime, as well as for attachments that a sender sends together with a payload by using proxy methods in the XI runtime.
If you want to access an attachment from a mapping program, it must have been transferred from the ABAP part to the Java part prior to execution. You can configure this in the basic settings of the operation mapping in which you reference the mapping program (select the Read Attachments checkbox)..."

  • Automate flat IDOC to XML IDOC using one interface

    Hello all,
We are currently going through a migration process where XI will be replacing a legacy system.  As part of our testing procedure, we are using historical data pairings from the legacy system and using an automated tool to compare if the interfaces we develop in XI match.  The catch is we need the data that we are comparing in XML format for the automated tool to be able to do the comparison, and unfortunately the legacy data is a flat format.  So now I would like to automate a way to convert this data to XML format.
Specifically for IDOCs, I would like to have an interface which picks up the flat files, transforms them to XML, and then drops them back into another file directory in the XML format.  It would need to be able to pick up any kind of IDOC (given that XI has the metadata already imported), recognize what message type it is, then do the conversion.
I have been reading on SDN and found that there is a standard tool to do the conversion, but it appears it can only handle one kind of IDOC at a time, and it appears it only picks up one specifically named file at a time.
Has anybody tried to implement a scenario like this?  Any help is appreciated (A walkthrough would be the best!).
    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

    Mike,
What version of PI will you be using? PI 7.11 can now auto-convert Flat File IDocs to XML IDoc and vice versa.
    Here is the documentation:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/b5/bd93642dd3410f90ebea702399fac4/frameset.htm (flat to XML)
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/74/a45bc07e2043fb9b63295229178903/frameset.htm (XML to flat)
I have not tried this personally, but seems like you might be able to use a "File to File" scenario with no mapping, and use the "IDOCFlatToXmlConvertor" Module in your File Adapter Comms Channel and it may just work, giving you files that are the IDoc XML version of the flat file it is reading. It looks like it does an RFC call to the back-end SAP system where the IDocs are originally from (or could be any system as long as you know the IDocs in there are identical), and reads the IDoc metadata (which has always included flat file field offsets for each IDoc Segment Field), and applies that either to convert from flat file IDoc to XML IDoc, or XML IDoc to flat file IDoc.
It does mention that there is a limitation that there can only be one IDoc in the source flat file - could be a problem if you have many in one file, which is pretty typical.

    Brendan

  • IDOC to XML SOAP Scenario

    Hi All,
I want to implement IDOC to XML SOAP scenario for 3 different IDOC types.
Should i implement it under same namespace or use different namespace for each IDOC to XML scenario.

  • Regarding receiver determination problem in IDOC-XI-XML file scenario

    Dear All ,
In IDOC-XI-xml file scenario , I have configured SLD , IR . But in ID , after file adapter , reciever agreement configuration when I am doing receiver determination configuration I am not able to insert mapping program in configuration overview of receiver determination as I am not getting "New Specific" option in mapping .
Can anybody suggest what could be the reason behind this .
    Thanks in Advance
    Prabhat

    Hi PRabhat,
In RCVR determination, you need to select the party & service (as appropriate) save the obeject
then refresh the configuration overview of recr det.
then you can see the partner/service
then you can open it & add the necessary objects.

  • Inbound IDOC using  XML

    Hi,
I need to create an Inbound IDOC using Function modules using an XML file as Input.
    I am using mySAP ERP 2004(WAS 6.4).
    IDOC type : HRMD_A05
    Message Type : HRMD.
I am using the FM's in an ABAP report for testing, reading the data from the XML File using the FM GUI_UPLOAD .
    I tried using the FM <b>IDOC_INBOUND_XML_VIA_HTTP</b>,with import parameters XML_STREAM, CONTENT_LENGTH, CONTENT_TYPE, REMOTE_ADDR.(ALL Type Strings)
This FM creates the IDOC successfully but i do not get the status record for the IDOC as there are no export parameters or tables where i can get the value.
I am trying using the FM <b>IDOC_INBOUND_XML_SOAP_HTTP</b>,with import Parameters as <b>XML_STREAM type XSTRING</b>,and there is the export parameter ASSIGN ,type IDOC_ASSIGN_TAB and i was wondering if this could return the status.
I used the same XML and used the FM "SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING", to convert the file input string into XSTRING.
On executing this i get the exception,"NO DATA RECEIVED" .
    Can anybody Please Tell me
1)How to get the status of an IDOC if i use the FM IDOC_INBOUND_XML_VIA_HTTP ?
    2)How to use the FM IDOC_INBOUND_XML_SOAP_HTTP ?
3)Is there any other way to create an IDOC with XML input?
    Thanks,
    regards,
    Siddhartha Jain

    HI Nagarajan,
I had checked the first link mentioned by you and activated the required service from Transacttion SICF,but still it didn't help.
The second link points to the IDOC Adaptor for XI,guess it won't help as i'm not using XI.
I want to pass XML data read from file and call a FM which creates and posts and IDOC into R/3 and returns the IDOC Number and Status.
    For this i found the FM's IDOC_INBOUND_XML_SOAP_HTTP and IDOC_INBOUND_XML_VIA_HTTP.
The FM IDOC_INBOUND_XML_VIA_HTTP accepts xml as string and posts IDOC succesully, but i do not get the status and IDOC Number.
The IDOC_INBOUND_XML_SOAP_HTTP accepts xml as xstring,so i used the FM SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING to convert the same xml string to xstring and pass it to the FM.But it gives an error 'NO DATA RECEIVED'.
If i make few changes to the XML doc,to include SOAP envelope ,like
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><HRMD_A05>.......</HRMD_A05>
    to
    <soap-env:Envelope xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><soap-env:Body><IDOC BEGIN="1">.......</IDOC></soap-env:Body></soap-env:Envelope>
I get the error, the tag <IDOC BEGIN="1"> not found ,the IDOC XML should be of format <IDOC BEGIN="1"> <IDOC>.
Can anybody please help on what to do/how to proceed.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Siddhartha

  • Issues with creating and sending BOM XML IDOC to SAP using 2010 WCF-SAP Adapter (without using Biztalk Server)

I'm trying to replace an existing Biztalk 2006 Send BOM IDOC process, and completely remove Biztalk server from the equation.   The existing Bizatalk 2006 server receives an input BOM (Bill of Materials) flat file, and using a Biztalk Map (BM08),
and Orchestration, generates an Idoc and sends it to SAP.
In my replacement C# program, I'm using the 2010 WCF-SAP Adapter, and am trying to generate the BOMMAT03 XML IDOC it to SAP.
I generated the BOMMAT03 schema from SAP using the Add Adapter Service in VS 2010.  I was able to generate a BM08 XSLT from the existing BMO8 map in the current Biztalk 2006 process.  I am able to run a XSLT transform on the input BOM flat
file, and generate an XML file from that.
However, I've run into a few issues.   First of which, is that the XML file that is generated from the XSLT transform is NOT the same schema as the BOMMAT03 schema expects.  It's somewhat similar, but different enough that I have to manually
translate between the two in my code.  I've verified that both the original Bitztalk 2006 process and my replacement program use BOMMAT V3 from SAP.  Question--Is Biztalk 2006 server doing some other magic to turn that transormed XML into the BOMMAT03
    schema?
I ended writing code which translates the transformed XML into the BOMMAT03 schema (which is a strong typed XML IDOC at this point).
However, when I try to send the BOMMAT03 XML IDOC, I get an exception "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
                   idocClient.Send(idocData, ref sadapterTxGuid);
idocData is of type BOMMAT03, and I've verified that the various fields are populated.
      Any help is appreciated.

Well, putting in a MSDN subscription support ticket for Biztalk server actually helped with the issue.  They didn't find, or fix the issue directly.  But one of the examples (https://randypaulo.wordpress.com/tag/idoc/) they sent over, jogged my
memory, and I realized in the code snippet below, I had accidentally deleted the 1st line.  Such a simple mistake, yet was easy to overlook.  The URL example is almost EXACTLY like my code, but without the transform and translation code to convert
from input XML file to IDOC XML.  If someone is interested in that, let me know.
    //Forgot the 1st line.
    idocClient = new IdocBOMMAT03SIEIS_WED_BOMMAT03V3R700Client(binding, endpointAddress);
     idocClient.Send(idocData, ref sadapterTxGuid);
For anyone else interested in knowing, you CAN send a strongly typed IDOC to SAP using C#.NET and the WCF SAP 2010 Adapter, using the IDOC Binding Client class you generated using the Add Adapter Service Reference in VS2010.
The one difference, which no one, not even the tech support from MS could tell me, was why the XSLT which I generated from the original map, did not transform the input BOM XML into the BOMMAT03 XML.  Instead, it transformed it into an intermediate
XML, which resembled the BOMMAT03 IDOC XML, but still needed to be translated to the BOMMAT03 IDOC format.
The tech support person swore up and down that it should.  But I believe that something happens in Biztalk server, after the Mapping occurs, maybe in the Pipeline, which converts that
intermediate XML into the final BOMMAT03 IDOC XML format.
I do think that the examples are severely lacking in showing how to send a strong typed IDOC using C# and the WCF-SAP Adapter.  Even worse, the examples are completely lacking in how to actually generate a weakly typed IDOC.  They show how to send
that weakly typed IDOC, but show me, or give me a class to be able to generate it.
I realize that this is not quite the "recommended way" to do it, but in reality, not everyone wants or even needs a full Biztalk installation.   For some simple stuff like this, a C#.NET program and WCF-SAP adapter do the trick.

  • Receiving binary IDOC via Queue and convert it to XML-IDOC

    Hello,
we are focusing the following scenario:
We receive an plain, binary IDOC in a MQSeries Queue. We want to pick it, transform it and place it into R/3 (of course using XI 3.0). Afterwards the other way around.
I know the Howto for the ABAP mapping from XML-Idoc to plain IDOC. This may also work for our scenario. Do you agree?
The other way around is more difficult. I assume that - since the IDOC adapter resides in the ABAP stack - we cannot re-use an existant adapter module in the JMS adapter. Right?
I heared about JCO capabilities of "xmlizing" Idocs - but did not find hints within the javadoc. Anyway, would this really be the preferred way - writing an user exit for the adapter using JCO - to handle this? There must be a way to do it better, must it not?
How did you guys face this problem - I think its a common one...
Any starting points for a discussion are appreciated....
    Greets,
    helge

    Hi Helge,
For the conversion of the incoming flat message, one could imagine a similar ABAP mapping as the one described for the XML->flat message conversion. The function module IDX_IDOC_TO_XML could be a good starting point for your search.
To perform conversions in the Java stack (e.g. in an adapter module) might be a quite complex task since you first have to get the IDoc metadata. And there you cannot reuse existing function modules.
    Best regards

  • XML IDOC to Native IDOC Conversion

    Hi,
We have a scenario, where we need to convert XML idoc into native idoc and write to a file. I am doing this based on
How To Convert an IDoc-XML structure to a flat file and vice versa in XI 3.0.
When I first executed the scenario, I was getting the following error
Z_ABAP_MAPPING_IDOC_TO_FLAT (type SAP-ABAP, kernel error ID UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION) An exception with the type CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause Dereferencing of the NULL reference.
After including the try-catch block, now i am just getting a blank file without any conversion.
Can anyone help me on this?
    Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi,
It looks to be error in ABAP mapping
To test ABAP mapping in XI use the transaction SXI_MAPPING_TEST after creating a little scenario in the directory.
Or even you could do this with below sample code
Lets create one ABAP mapping class with the method IF_MAPPING~EXECUTE
data: obj type ref to zcl_abap_mapping_test.
    data: source type xstring,
    result type xstring.
data: param type ref to IF_MAPPING_PARAM,
    trace type ref to IF_MAPPING_trace.
    create object obj.
    try.
    CALL METHOD obj->IF_MAPPING~EXECUTE
    EXPORTING
    SOURCE = source
    PARAM = param
    TRACE = trace
    IMPORTING
    RESULT = result.
    CATCH CX_MAPPING_FAULT .
    ENDTRY.
This is a link very useful for ABAP Mapping :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/86/8280ba12d511d5991b00508b6b8b11/frameset.htm
Or may be  think this exception you need to catch it in the ABAP..

  • IDOC not to be converted to XML-IDOC

    Hi
there is a setting you can make in XI so that IDOCS sent to XI from R/3 are not converted to XML-IDOC.
    That parameter is XML_CONVERSION.
I found out from SAP today that this will only work if you are sending from R/3 to R/3 via XI.
But I want this to work for R/3 to ThirdParty via XI.
So SAP are saying this will not work.
OK - so does anybody have a simple XSLT I can use that will strip out the XML tags so I have a plain old IDOC ?

    Hi,
1.if, so then ask him to provide SAP at target (in this case its possible)...there is no other option.(as of now SAP does't provide these kind of functionality)
2.otherwise if he required the same structure at target then go with IDoc...PI...File scenario
Please explain to your end user clearly about IDoc functionality..hope he will understand..

    Hi
    Thanks for the answer.
Regarding the FM IDX_XML_TO_IDOC, I thing that I can't use it directly because I have to write a program, I have to read the Xml file (that is located in a special directory of the operative system) and then use the FM putting xml data in the XML_DATA import parameter.
    It's correct?
    Bye
