ALE message VG203
Hi to all,
My scenario is the automatic creation of Sales order to my SAP system by tranlating a PO from another SAP system through ALE.
I have used message type ORDERS and I have the following problem.
The Idoc passed correctly to the receiver system but with status 51 (the doc. has not been posted). Double clicking on the status I have the message "The material number for item 000010 could not be identified".
I have already created a customer info record to the receiver system and the weird thing is that whenever i use tcode WE19 and manually run (foregroung) the relevant inbound function module (IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS) the document is posted without any problem.
Could someone give me an explanation?
Thanks in advance.
GA
My solution is to switch SH (resp. WE in german) to SP (resp. AG in german) and vice-versa and looks as follows.
In include LVEDAF23 / FORM determine_material I added the following enhancements:
FORM determine_material.

CASE ls_xvbadr-parvw.
WHEN 'AG'.
le_kunnr_ag = ls_xvbadr-kunnr.
WHEN 'WE'.
le_kunnr_we = ls_xvbadr-kunnr.
WHEN OTHERS.
ENDCASE.

xvbak-kunnr = le_kunnr_ag.
ENDENHANCEMENT.
*$*$-End: (2 )--------------------------------------------------------------------------------$*$*
ENDFORM. " DETERMINE_MATERIAL
In include MV45AFZB / FORM userexit_cust_material_read I implemented the according User-Exit (using enhancement technology)
FORM userexit_cust_material_read USING us_kunnr.

How to send inforecord conditions using ALE (message type COND_A)?
Hi,
I have sent Purchasing Inforecords through ALE using t-code ME18.
Now, I would like to know how to transfer the conditions through ALE (message type is COND_A).
Thanks a lot,
KaveriHi,
Please go through this thread.
[Pricing Condition Records initial upload - COND_A] -
Hi ,
Can U briefy about what is Message control and when it is used in ALE Distribution.?
Is it used only for Transactional data sending or any data?.
Thanks
Rohan.AHi,
Message control is for transactrional data only, this is for to handle messages automatically based on condition records.
ex: for ME21 u will create the condition records in transaction mn04,there u have to assign medium for that perticular vendor, based on this it will handle.
thanx. -
ALE message type WMTORD sending ST meins
good morning/afternoon to all,
we are in the process of setting up a 3rd party warehouse/miniload system and they connect using ALE. the 3rd party system is not a SAP system. our system is 4.7C. we are being asked to use this message type (WMTORD - standard) to send transport orders. they receive the idoc successfully with correct information, except for the unit of measure field meins. they receive the untranslated unit of measure ST, instead of EA.
is there a fix for this? can this be changed with standard code, or is a user exit needed. and, if the user exit is needed, why does for example the message type MATMAS send a EA and not the ST? i do have the global unit or measure ST setup to send EA in spro.
thanks in advance.it looks like no one knows the answer...
here is what i found (for future reference)
enhancement MWMIDO01
component(fm) - EXIT_SAPLLIDO_001
include - ZXLIDU01
code example
tables: e1ltori.
loop at t_idoc_data.
if t_idoc_data-segnam = 'E1LTORI'.
move t_idoc_data-sdata to e1ltori.
if e1ltori-meins = 'ST'.
move 'EA' to e1ltori-meins.
endif.
move e1ltori to t_idoc_data-sdata.
modify t_idoc_data.
endif.
endloop.

Anyone have experience using ALE message FIDCC2 in a high volume scenario?
Hi,
We are evaluating the use of message type FIDCC2 to send complete FI documents from one SAP system (logisitics) to another SAP system (finance). I'm particularly interested in throughput performance, as this will be a high volume scenario (300K+ docs per month). Additionally, each SAP system has a customer include code block extension (CI_COBL) to BSEG, that will be carried via an IDOC enhancement (custom segment), for which we are considering using XI to map the IDOCs between the two systems. I would appreciate any info you can share regarding use of FIDCC2 in a high volume scenario. Thanks in advance.

- AllenHi Allen,
In my past experiences, I used the message variant (EDIDC-MESCOD) and message function (EDIDC-MESFCT) to execute multiple inbound IDoc jobs to run parallel for a given message type and IDoc type (execute program RBDAPP01 in different application servers).
I used message variant and message function to group all sales order IDocs based on location and customer numbers.
You need to enter message variant and/or message function during partner profile setup (WE20). Also the middleware system (i.e. SAP XI) must maintain the above fields accordingly for IDoc inbound processing.
Hope this will help.

Distribution Model (ALE) - Message type has to be deleted from model view
Hello,
I want to delete a message type from an existing model view in the distribution model (of the maintenance system).
But when I mark the concerning message type and press Edit->Delete the message 'Action cannot be carried out on the nodes selected' occures. Deleting the complete model view would work...
Does anyone know how I can get this without setting up a new model view?
Many thanks in advance,
Juergenhi,
>>'Action cannot be carried out on the nodes selected'
you get this message if you try to delete a message type
from a model view that was not created on your system
(it has been replicated and it's maintained on another system)
so you can only delete this message type on the system that has
"master" distribution model
if it's not master then it's usually grey and you can only delete if it's black in change mode
>Deleting the complete model view would work...
if you try that you will see info that it's not the "master" system for this model
check it and let me know

ALE Message type HRMD_A Infotype 0001 is incorrect using PROOF flag = X
Hi
We have an issue using HRMD_A for Infotype 0001 with the PROOF flag swithed on. Using the PROOF flag triggers a call of HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA instead of a direct write to db tables. However sometimes the update of Infotype 1 is incomplete and records are lost. The data goes through a transformation in the inbound BAdi, here I have checked the sequence is still correct. But when the data is written to Infotype 1 it seems to overwrite the last entries.
If anyone has any experience with this, I would be very interested for any input.
Thanks in advance
SonnyHi Sandip
Thx for your response. If I understand you correctly you suggest I use the HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION. This could be an alternative, but I would prefer to understand the reason behind the error.
HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION actually calls HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA, so this FM might not solve the issue, but it does give the option for updating one record at a time.

E-Recruiting : Filter details in ALE setup
Dear experts,
I have a small clarification regarding the filter details we specify in the distribution model when we set it up.
We have eRecruiting on a separate instance from ECC & both are on 603.We are integration the ECC data using ALE & message type HRMD_ABA05.
The infotypes that can be transferred are 0000,0001,0002,0006,0105,1000,1001. Is this correct? Can we transfer other data too?
Can someone please specify the exact filter criteria that can be specified?
How do i transfer the objects ? both for PA & OM objects in an optimum way ? Should i transfer the objects one at a time like P, then O etc?
Also, while exceuting PFAL against all objects, i see that at the eRecruiting end there is an error in the iDoc. Status is 51 "Error: insertion of infotype 1001 (return code 3 )". Please help in understanding how to transfer the data in a better fashion into eRec. I can see all the objects CP,BP,NA,O,S C in 1001 in eRec but i have got this error in the iDoc. what should i do?
Regards,
SowmyaHi
You need to update the orgunits .... i.e.
first move O,C,S object types and then you can move.......
during initial data transfer: You can search and refer standard notes as well,
Move O in update mode thru pfal : and put infotype 1000 only
Similarly follow for C,S
Then move P data initially avoid putting filters..........
in insert mode......
Then move O.C,S in insert mode.......
After the initial movements then you can update your message types with infotypes like.......
0,1,2,6,105,.1001,1000 is sufficient
also you can do some customising in badis at the e-rec end and also pass 22,23,24 .....
also there are some hrpad entries which u need to pass...in the filter...
check the message type for that......

idoc:
Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
*Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
*IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
FOr testing you can use WE19.

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
Outbound Process
Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
Create Segment ( WE31)
Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
Create Message Type ( WE81)
Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

Hi,
I've created an ALE distribution model to process the interface concerning Set Up HR and Accounting. Initialy we make it all and distribute it to the receiving system (FI) and it seems to be ok. After that the funcional team generate some movements and the IDOC's were generated but they were not sent to the FI system. We've a look at tRFC and an error concerning user or password invalid appears, so i define again the user comunication and after a few adjustments to the model view we distribute it again to the FI system. When i execute it the following message appears : <b>Model view HRFI-CFP has not been updated / Rreason: Distribution model is currently being processed.
</b>
Next step we delete the model view and created it again but the same error still remains.
Can anyone help me ???
Thanks is advance.
JMMatosHi
Distribution Model A model that describes the ALE message flow between logical systems.
Applications and the ALE distribution service layer use the model to determine receivers and to control the data distribution. The relationships between logical systems, message types, BAPIs and filters are defined in the distribution model.
Ex: The screen shot depicts customer distribution mode ALE_TRNG_Mar07.
Sender Logical System EC1CLNT800
Receiver Logical System SALES
Message Type CREMAS
No filter conditions defined.
This configuration step allows the installation of core ALE features on which data transfer activity will be based.
In the distribution model you can specify the messages to be sent to a given logical system. You can also define the conditions for the content and dispatch of messages in the filters.
The distribution model consists of one or more views that you can define
After creating the distribution model the model needs to be distributed to the receiver system.
Partner profiles need to be generated in both sender and receiver systems using transaction BD82 (automatically) or WE20 (manually). -

1.It is possible with your situation.
Regarding that ,There are methods.
1.Change pointers
2.Message control
3.Executable program.
2.The best way is using change pointers.
Just go for all these:

WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
Try this..Hope this will help.
SAP ALE & IDOC<<<<
Steps to configuration(Basis) >>
1. Create Logical System (LS) for each applicable ALE-enabled client
2. Link client to Logical System on the respective servers
3. Create background user, to be used by ALE(with authorizaton for ALE postings)
4. Create RFC Destinations(SM59)
5. Ports in Idoc processing(WE21)
6. Generate partner profiles for sending system
The functional configuration(Tcode: SALE)
u2022 Create a Customer Distribution Model (CDM);
u2022 Add appropriate message types and filters to the CDM;
u2022 Generate outbound partner profiles;
u2022 Distribute the CDM to the receiving systems; and
u2022 Generate inbound partner profiles on each of the clients.
Steps to customize a new IDoc >>>
1. Define IDoc Segment (WE31)
2. Convert Segments into an IDoc type (WE30)
3. Create a Message Type (WE81)
4. Create valid Combination of Message & IDoc type(WE82)
5. Define Processing Code(WE41 for OUT / WE42 for IN)
6. Define Partner Profile(WE20)
Important Transaction Codes:
SALE - IMG ALE Configuration root
WE20 - Manually maintain partner profiles
BD64 - Maintain customer distribution model
BD71 - Distribute customer distribution model
SM59 - Create RFC Destinations
BDM5 - Consistency check (Transaction scenarios)
BD82 - Generate Partner Profiles
BD61 - Activate Change Pointers - Globally
BD50 - Activate Change Pointer for Msg Type
BD52 - Activate change pointer per change.doc object
BD59 - Allocation object type -> IDOC type
BD56 - Maintain IDOC Segment Filters
BD53 - Reduction of Message Types
BD21 - Select Change Pointer
BD87 - Status Monitor for ALE Messages
BDM5 - Consistency check (Transaction scenarios)
BD62 - Define rules
BD79 - Maintain rules
BD55 - Defining settings for IDoc conversion
WEDI - ALE IDoc Administration
WE21 - Ports in Idoc processing
WE60 - IDoc documentation
SARA - IDoc archiving (Object type IDOC)
WE47 - IDoc status maintenance
WE07 - IDoc statistics
BALE - ALE Distribution Administration
WE05 - IDoc overview
BD87 - Inbound IDoc reprocessing
BD88 - Outbound IDoc reprocessing
BDM2 - IDoc Trace
BDM7 - IDoc Audit Analysis
BD21 - Create IDocs from change pointers
SM58 - Schedule RFC Failures
Basic config for Distributed data:
BD64: Maintain a Distributed Model
BD82: Generate Partner Profile
BD64: Distribute the distribution Model
Programs
RBDMIDOC u2013 Creating IDoc Type from Change Pointers
RSEOUT00 u2013 Process all selected IDocs (EDI)
RBDAPP01 - Inbound Processing of IDocs Ready for Transfer
RSARFCEX - Execute Calls Not Yet Executed
RBDMOIND - Status Conversion with Successful tRFC Execution
RBDMANIN - Start error handling for non-posted IDocs
RBDSTATE - Send Audit Confirmations
FOr testing you can use WE19.
There are two filtering in IDoc.
Segment Filtering:
Segment filtering can be achieved using T/Code BD56. Here you can suppress a whole segment irrespective of data inside it . You have to give Message Type / Sender Prrtner / Receiver Partner.
Data Filtering:
Data filtering can be done in dustribution model (BD64) where you can restrict whole IDOCS or partials IDOCS to be send based on data in fields inside IDOC depending on whether the segment in which you filter is at the highest level or at a lower level. For example in MATMAS if you put a filter of E1MARCM for a particular plant , only data for this plant will go and other plants will be ignored.
