Alert Configuration in BPM

Hi Masters,
I have one requirement in BPM ....it is jdbc to jdbc scenario.. where first we wil pick the records with status N and make the status I and insert in to reciever jdbc ... after then if the records are inserted successfully in reciever side then it should give response record which will change the status into C from I in source side ....
Now i have to use BPM alert .. if the records are not inserted properly in reciever side then it should throw error.. so can u please help me how to create alert config and wht are the steps involve to fulfil this situation...

.....here in bpm one control step is there in exception block where if error is there then it wil cancel the process .. so in control step there are two properties ..
1) alert catagory..
2) alert message..
so how to config those and wht does alert message mean ...

Currently BPM is designed to send the alerts to Alert inbox of Fixed recipients. For this alert category, in the properties 'Dynamic Text' is checked. But the current requirement is to send those alerts to Email also.
Anybody help me by providing the configuration steps, ideas to send the same alerts sent to alert inbox to email.

Hi,
You can do that using creating ALERT Rules in your
RWB-->ALert Configuration
You will have to:
1. Create ALert categories.
2. In the 'ALert configuration' add Alert Rules ot the Alert category.
Whenever an error happens, the Alert will be triggered by the ALert Framework.

Mails are not comming when error in Moni after alert configuration

Hi PI Team,
I want a Scenario Where if i get any Error for my Business Service i need an Mail to be triggered.
Can any one suggest will it be better to use BPM for this. If so what are the steps for that?
I had done all the Steps specified in the following blogs for Alert Configuration.

What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "CL_BSP_MODEL==================CP" had to be
terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.

Error analysis
The system discovered an invalid value while accessing a string
reference:
String reference (hexadecimal): 1900000002000000
String header ID: 2
String header ID (hex): 00000002
Check value (hex): 000000
Shared objects lock flag: 0
Check value (hexadecimal): 19
The check value should be hexadecimal "ED".
This is not the case.
How to correct the error
The contents of the string value were probably overwritten in the
memory of the ABAP application program.
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.

Error while opening Alert Configuration in RWB

Hi Everyone,
When I selcet Either Alert Inbox or Alert Configuration in Runtime Work Bench, I am getting error as
404 Not Found
The requested resource does not exist.
Do we need to configure/Deploy anything to access Alert Configuration.

Perform following steps. , if not performed earlier :
1.Go to exchange profile
http://<IP>:<Port>/exchangeProfile/index.html
Then RuntimeWorkbench -> com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost = " Mention FQDN here "
->com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring..httpport = 8000
2. Reinitialize the RWB service by : http://xiserver:50000/rwb/rtc?op=init
3. RZ10 - Make an entry for /icm/host_name_full

You should give fully qualified host name for the xi server (parameter, icm/host_name_full). Also set the same in exchange profile parameter com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost.
- Creating HTTP Destination pmistore in the Java Environment
from XI installation guide (config in visual admin)
- Check if services in transaction SICF for RWB - if they are activated
- on your XI box go to TCODE - SE38 and run program - RSXMB_ACTIVATE_ICF_SERVICES.
- check SAP note: 750287 (XI 3.0 Runtime Workbench: Alert configuration does not start) and change values in your ExchangeProfile.
- check if you can accept cookies.
It should work friend....!!!!

Error while opening Alert Configuration

Dear All,
When I am trying to open Alert Configuration from RWB then it is giving me the following error:
URL http://sapxiprd.nissap.com:8000/sap/bc/bsp/sap/alertinbox/index.htm call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
Note:
The termination occurred in system XPR with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.
The selected virtual host was 0 .
ErrorCode:ICF-NF-http-c:000-u:SAPSYS-l:E-i:SAPXIPRD_XPR_00-v:0-s:403-r:Forbidden

Kindly help me what is the error and how this can be resolved.

Go to Transaction SICF and check for the activeness of Service called /bc/bsp/sap/alertinbox.. if not make it active.

Problem coming in the alert configuration

Hi frnds,
I have created alert category in abap stack , created alert rules in rwb alert configuration. And when i was testing via report rsalerttest, received the alert in alert inbox and on my outlook .
While testing through mapping sometimes I received notificationl on my id, but sometimes I am not getting alert notificationl to my id and in alert inbox.
why the same alert configuration is not triggering notification every time, and only few times triggering notification as expected.
Can you please give some light on it.

Dynamic alert messages in BPM control step not getting created

Hi All,
in transaction ALRTCATDEF, i have specified dynamic text for my alert category...........
in my BPM there are 3 control steps.....and i am using this alert category in all of my BPM 3 control steps..... but the alert messages in my 3 control steps are different.........But these alert messages(which i am giving in BPM) is not coming in the alert mail in alert inbox but it gives the common message in long text(which i gave in long text while defining the alert category)......
So can anybody suggest me why my BPM alert message is not coming in the alert generated by BPM control step in the alert inbox of runtime workbench.

Hi Rajeev,
Please check if you have done the following steps:-
check the dynamic text box available in alrtcatdef transaction, while creating the alert.
In the bpm, create a variable of simple type in a container
Included the container operation and the control step.
For the container operation - give the right simple type variable container
For the control step, specify the correct alert category (this should be the one for which the dynamic text is enabled)
The alert message that you specify here should have text which will be seen when the alert raised
*To capture the dynamic alert in the alert message, which is caught by the container step in the bpm....you will have to give the name of the simple type variable
between two ampersands(&).

On checking the dynamic text option in the alert category defined, you will not have the option of giving a message in the long text. So, there is no way that the long text can be seen - 'cuz you are not defining it in the first place! Hence, either you have given the wrong alert category in the bpm or have not cheked the dynamic text option.

I have a problem acccessing alertinbox or alert-configuration in RWB,
because, whenever i click the button "alertinbox" or "alert-configuration"
it gives an BSP error page:
Business Server Page (BSP) error
Calling the BSP page was terminated due to an error.
The following error text was processed in the system:
BSP Exception: the Application Name sap in URL /sap/bc/bsp/sap/alertinbox/index.htm?sap-client=400&sap-sessioncmd=open is invalid.

PI 7.0 Alert Configuration Problem BSP Page Error

Hello,
We are facing the issues for the alert configuration tab in Runtime workbench for PI 7.0.
We have added the fully qualified domain name in exchange profile and 8000 port is also updated for RWB.
We have activated all the SICF services by the report
RSXMB_ACTIVATE_ICF_SERVICES and all the services are activated successfully.
But still When we click on Alert configuration we can see the page but we when we try for
any function, its giving the following error.
Error log is:
Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.
the termination type was : RABAX_STATE

Also in ST22 I can find the following dump:

Alert Configuration / Alert Inbox - "404 Not Found" in PI 7.0

Hi ,
We are trying configure Alert Framework in PI 7.0.
When we are opening the Alert Configuration page through the link
http://<Hostname>:5<Sys.No>00/rwb/index.jsp -> Alert Configuration we are getting error " 404 Not Found"
But when we changed the exchangeProfile parameter com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport from 5<Sys.no>00 to 8<sys.no>0 we got the page displayed there.
But when we click that page it asks for authentication again !!!
And where we need to fix this redirection problem from 5<sys.no>00 to 8<sys.no>0 ..
the parameter -> icm/HTTP/j2ee_0
is holding this value
PREFIX=/,HOST=localhost,CONN=0-500,PORT=5$$00
Please suggest.

Alert Configuration in PI 7.1

Hi,
I have done Alert Configuration as per Michal's blog 2328.
Though I am getting notified in RWB alert inbox,email is not getting triggered.

hi,
if you want to receive mails from alerts you need to configure sapconnect
http://help.sap.com/SAPHELP_NWPI71/helpdata/EN/2b/d925bf4b8a11d1894c0000e8323c4f/frameset.htm
this is not shown in my blog but needs to be done if you want mails, sms etc.
