Alert configuration not open in RWB

Hi,
Whenever i try to open "Alert configuartion" and "Alert Inbox" in RWB, it shows page cannot be displayed error. So, i am not able to open that. But i checked in SICF, alert inbox is activated. And also i changed the exchange profile host name and port also same as ICM services based on SAP note: 750287. Still it shows same problem.  Please anyone give the solution for this.
Regards
Vijaykumar

Hi ,
We are having the similar issues with the FQDN, so we used an alternate approach to access them. actually alert config and alert inbox which appears on the RWB are internally hosted as BSP application on the PI Box, To access them alternatively , you can use the below  URL directly in your web browser to get that,
http://hostid.sdff.internal.XXXXXX.com:8020/sap/bc/bsp/sap/sxms_alertrules?sap-client=XXX
http://hostid.sdff.internal.XXXXXX.com:8020/sap/bc/bsp/sap/alertinbox/index.htm?sap-client=XXX&sap-language=EN&sap-syscmd=nocookie
1) hostid.sdff.internal.XXXXXX.com is the FQDN of your PI box.
2) 8020 is the HTTP Port (not java port which starts 50020(five digit )  which might be diffrrent in your system.
The HTTP port can be accessed in your PI system by using T code SMICM -> Goto-> Parameters -> Display. you will see somthing like this  "icm/server_port_0     = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8020"

  • Alert configuration Not working in RWB

    Hi,
In RWB alertconfiguration is not working, showing the error
<b>404 Not Found</b>". I gone through this thread
Alert configuration or Alert Inbox-----404 Not Found
And my host name is full host name.
In exchange profiles my port is 50100 (J2EE PORT)  (Not Changed)
    1. In SMICM when I changed to port to 50100 (J2EE) then alert configuration
working, But My scenarios not working throwing error : System Error.
    <b>Error Category XI_J2EE_MESSAGING_SYSTEM
    Error Code HTTP_TRANSMISSION_ERROR</b>
    2. In SMICM when I changed to port to 8001 (ABAP Port) then Alert configuration not working (Error : 404 Not Found), but my scenarios were working fine.
    what would be the reason?
    thx in advance,
    Ansar.

    HI,
    If Error: 404 Not Found
Description: The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
    Possible Tips:- for HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK 404
    • 404 is an HTTP response code that indicates that the resource in question couldn't be found. Usually this is due to an incorrect URL, so it is better to cross check all URLs.
Check pipeline URL in the SLD in the business system of the Integration Server For this go to SLD->Business System-><yourIntegrtaion Server>->Pipeline URL: It should be like this http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry Where host is the host name of the Integration Server and port is the HTTP(8xxx) port. To verify this in Integration Server you can do like this. Go to SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Choose Edit from Menu -> Change Global Configuration Data to switch to change mode. Then select System Landscape - Load Configuration. (This is not required always)
    • Check that the port really is the ICM HTTP Port and not the J2EE port i.e SMICM then menu GOTO --> SERVICES and check the port number for HTTP. It should be HTTP port
    • If the error is Page cannot be displayed, cannot find server in https configurations Check and correct the SSL configuration for the ABAP and the J2EE side of the system
    • If the error is because of integration server when using Proxy communications then check these. i.e SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Corresponding Integration Server enrty should be dest://<Http Integration server-Destination> Where < Http Integration server -Destination > is the RFC destination (SM59) of type HTTP connection (type H) to the Integration Server. In this case, host name, port, and path prefix are saved in the RFC destination

  • Alert Inbox and Alert Config does not open in RWB

When I open RWB I am not able to open Alert Inbox and Alert Configuration links. Its says " Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" . When I exequte the command ALRTINBOX from Abap stack, it opens the Alert Inbox page.
Can someone tell me if there is any setting that I need to change in my Internet Explorer. I even tried using Mozilla, but same issue. My team members are able to open these links, hence it may be some setting on my machine.

    Hi Chiraj/ Navneet,
Thanks for your reply, I have already tried these setting and my team members are able to login from their comps. Also i have tried using SUPER USER id which has all access, still the same issue. Hence I believe it is an issue with Internet Explorer setting.
    Thanks

  • Alert Configuration not showing up: Error 404

Hi, we engaged this issue some days now and we already checked some entries in this forum but altering doesn't show up in RWB!
    So we already did:
    1. Activated all services concerning Alerts (SICF)
    2. added all user rules to the users in charge
    3. checked notes 913858, 750287 etc.
we found sth. what we don't know if its right. When looking in exchange profile we edited the parameter com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost in the fully qualified hostname. But when checking entries like com.sap.aii.ib.server.connect.webas.r3.ashost  we only see the hostname - not fully qualified. so paremeters look like this:
    com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost = server02.domain.local
    com.sap.aii.ib.server.connect.webas.r3.ashost       = server02
Doesn't these parameters have to be in same structure?! So when we changed com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost in server02 we could not sign on to RWB service with any user.
Can somebody help us on this issue?! We have to activate altering but its is not showing up in RWB at all!

Having odd problem with alerts on my iPhone 4s.  Whenever I receive an email alert in the lock screen, swiping it, then entering my password, always opened the message.  Now, however, it will only open the aplication and I have to select the inbox and then the message to read it.  Would appreciate any suggestions on how this might be resolved.  I made no changes to my notifcations or settings, which makes this even more mysterious!  Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Alert rule not working! Please help!

    Hi All,
I have a Async XI scenario IDOC ---> XI -
    > JMS
In order to receive alerts if JMS adapter or server is down, I have configured alert rule in runtime workbench. The associated alert category is setup correctly with fixed recipients.
Following are the settings in my alert rule.
       1. Conditions: Connected to message - Not Relevant
Sender component: I have given my IDOC source system.
Receiver component : I have given by JMS target system.
           Remaining all values: *
       2. Where did the error occur? : No Restriction
Now for testing purpose if I give a junk server name in JMS communication channel and send the IDOC from source system, then I found that the corresponding XI message is showing as successfully processed. AT the same time in communication channel monitoring in runtime workbench I get an error:
Error creating JMS connection. JMS provider gave error message as Failed to connect to the server
But I don't receive any alert. Why? Is there anything wrong with the alert rule?
Why is the message in XI showing successfully processed even though there is an error in adapter?
Is this the normal behavior of any Async communication?
Please help! I am struggling with this issue for a long time.
I will be grateful if somebody can help me.
    Thanks & Regards

    Dear Gopal,
you have a couple of questions...
    1. Even thought the receiver communica channel is in error , why is the moni showing successfully processed?
Ans...This is not an unusual behavior... what is happening is as your mapping is correct the message is passing through the IE properly but when the adapter engine ( JMS receiver channel ) tries to coomunicate with the receiver JMS system it is giving error ..as u have given some wrong server details
    2. Alert e-mail not received
chk whether the alert catergory u created is attached to your alert rule..
you can do this in the alert configuration tab in the RWB
Also you need to activate your alert rule ..this again can be done in alert config tab..there is a chkbox of "rule activation".

  • Error while opening Alert Configuration in RWB

    Hi Everyone,
When I selcet Either Alert Inbox or Alert Configuration in Runtime Work Bench, I am getting error as
    404 Not Found
The requested resource does not exist.
Do we need to configure/Deploy anything to access Alert Configuration.
    Regards,
    Varun

    Varun,
Perform following steps. , if not performed earlier :
    1.Go to exchange profile
    http://<IP>:<Port>/exchangeProfile/index.html
    Then RuntimeWorkbench -> com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost = " Mention FQDN here "
    ->com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring..httpport = 8000
    2. Reinitialize the RWB service by : http://xiserver:50000/rwb/rtc?op=init
    3. RZ10 - Make an entry for /icm/host_name_full
    *************************************************8
You should give fully qualified host name for the xi server (parameter, icm/host_name_full). Also set the same in exchange profile parameter com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost.
    - Creating HTTP Destination pmistore in the Java Environment
from XI installation guide (config in visual admin)
    - Check if services in transaction SICF for RWB - if they are activated
    - on your XI box go to TCODE - SE38 and run program - RSXMB_ACTIVATE_ICF_SERVICES.
    - check SAP note: 750287 (XI 3.0 Runtime Workbench: Alert configuration does not start) and change values in your ExchangeProfile.
    - check if you can accept cookies.
    It should work friend....!!!!

you have to check below steps:
step1: u have to check connection is maintain / not to mail outlook by using report:  RSALERTTEST
    step2: r u provide correct user details in SU01 .
step3:r u select fixed recipients in alertcategory

  • Create rules in RWB - Alert Configuration is not possible.

    Hi
    I'm setting up alerts on a PI-server.
However, when I try to create alerts in Runtime Workbench -> Alert Configuration, I am not allowed tou2026 I.e the u201CAdd Ruleu201D-button is never possible to use. I add a description and interface names. But the buttons stays dimmed like I'm not authorized or similar.
I do have all roles, even SAP_ALL so it shall be no problem with authorization.
Do I need to setup something in NWA or similar to enable this?
    /Best Regards
    Joakim

It seems to be a tricky issue.
I do have have the roles:
    S_ALM_ROLE
    S_ALM_CONF
    S_ALM_CUST
    and also SAP_ALL
    What I do
    1) Starts RWB -> Alert config
    2) Adds description and interface names for my rule.
    3) Tries to select one of the available alert categories below so the AlertCategory is entered and the "Add rule"-button becomes available. (It's always grey).
I also try to do step 3 before step 2.
This is a showstopper... I'll probably create an OSS-case instead. Unless nobody shouts "Herureka, I know the solution!"

  • PI7.0: Problem about openning alert configuration in RWB

    Hi experts,
I encounter a problem about alert configuration.
I have defined the alert catogory in WAS ABAP and use the report RSALERTTEST to test it. It's OK. Then I logon RWB and click u201CAlert configurationu201D,system popup a login window. I input my user account and confirm it. But the logon window popup again and again.I don't kown how to resolve it. BTW, my user account has the roles SAP_ALM_ADMINISTRATOR and SAP_ALM_CUSTOMIZER.And I have resolved the problem "Alert configuration does not start" according to note 750287.
Anyone has idea??Could you please give me some advice???
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    BR Villy.L

    Hi Villy,
Although i have not faced this issue but one workaround fix that can help you to address your problem would be....
Please add below 'actions' to 'everyone' role using NWA->Identity Management
    UME keystore-view.TicketKeystore entry-actions.all.all
    UME keystore-view.TicketKeystore property-actions.all.all
    UME keystore-view.TicketKeystore view-actions.all.all
Then, Initiate RWB using URL - http://<j2ee-host>:<http-port>/rwb/rtc?op=init
I hope this fixes your issue.

    Thanks for all your suggestions.
I have checked the FQDN hostname parameter in the exchange profile and it is as per.
Also the t-code ALRTINBOX is working fine. The inbox is getting displayed in the web browser.
Going back to the problem I have reported, when the link http://Hotname:51400/rwp -> AlertConfiguration is executed in turn this service is running the service u201Csxms_alertrulesu201D [Default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/sxms_alertrules/   from SICF].
I have manually checked this service from SICF - sxms_alertrules -> Test service, even this service is failing to run with error u201CInternet Explorer cannot display the webpageu201D
The link is hitting the browser with link u201Chttp://Hostname.Domain.net:8014/sap/bc/bsp/sap/sxms_alertrules?sap-client=100u201D
The service is active but still this service is failing.
