Alert file creation in PI system
Hello Experts ,
We have a requirement that we need to create one file in our integration server path.
Please let me know is there any standard sap program which will take the value from the alert table at run time ?
If we dont have any such program please let me know the table names from which I need to fetch the data to get all the error information both ABAP stack and JAVA stack ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Somenath
you can create aleart file by abap program,
when error occur in pi , alert is arise in alert rule -> alaertcategory,
you can call abap program after alert. set in tc:alertcatdef.
please search more in sdn, I ll find and success what you want to do.

Hi Friends,
We have a tricky requirement as follows:
There is a third party system to which the error messages and alerts that are generated in SAP PI needs to be sent as text file or via SOAP.
Whenever, Adapter Errors or Mapping Errors occur a log needs to be written/sent to the 3rd party server.
For ex: If an error occurs in the Message Mapping step, then the error information/alert needs to be sent to the 3rd party system via a file or soap.
The 3rd party server does not support SMTP or other mail protocol. It wants to receive error data information as xml or flat file or soap.
Can anyone please guide if this is possible and how?
Thanks,
SouvikI mean to say in the PI box create a report.
Below links would help you for your report.

RC-50004: Fatal: Error occurred in ApplyDatabase: Control file creation fai
Hi guys,
I am cloning and EBS 12.1.3 from one server to another, and when Configuring the target system database server with ''perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier'', I am getting the following error:
RC-50004: Fatal: Error occurred in ApplyDatabase:
Control file creation failed
MOS is saying that it is due to wrong permissions on the /var/tmp/.oracle directory and we should give it the following permissions:
chmod 777 /var/tmp/.oracle
After giving those permissions and rebooting the server , and running the perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier script, I am still having the same problem:
RC-50004: Fatal: Error occurred in ApplyDatabase:
Control file creation failed
This is the contents of the ApplyDBTier log file (since the file exceed 30.000 characters, i am going to post the parts where the errors occur:

Please guys, how can I solve this problem?@Hussain Sawwan
Hi Hussain,
After successfully configured the DbTier and AppsTier with their respective post clone scripts the appstier was automatically started at the end.
But now, I can't seem to connect with my IE 9 and Firefow browsers.

Download Helper Screen Capture worked to capture video if the default "no audio" option is active. But, no audio. The "speakers" or "microphone" audio options are confusing....the audio to be captured is from the video, so what do you choose? With either "speakers" or "microphone" selected, the captured file has poor audio and no video. Re-capture efforts (speakers) get "Invalid capture file error" and "File Creation error- Unable to rename/copy audio file"
The paid upgrade of "Converter" doesn't work.
Instructive documentation - not very good.
Suggestions - Need time delay between initiation of "Record" and starting the video to be recorded.
Could use timer tracking of the record process.
Are there operating system limitations? (Have Windows XP Pro)That is an issue for the developer of that Download Helper.

Hi.
I have to create multiple files for mulitiple plants entered through select-options.
I have done this for single file but not getting the idea how to do it for multiple files.

SasikalaHi,
Sorry, my mistake, I did not pay attention to the cloning part.
For this error, looks like the database was not cleanly shutdown before copying the files or that preclone was not run successfully. You will have to run preclone again, and shutdown the database normally, then copy the file again.

Hussein -

Payment file duplication in target system at F110 transaction
Hi All
Payment file duplication in target system. Wherein since the Print Job was scheduled twice by user, the duplication of payment had taken place.The payment medium program u201CRFFOAVIS_FPAYMu201D is use to control the generation of duplicate payment file at automatic payment run program(F110).User needs an warning message if print job is schedule twice on same date and same identification number.Has Any one implemented such a scenario.
Thanks!Hi
System usually gives warning message F0417 aaginst the duplicatate print schedule , no need to do anything to get this message..
Please check print log in additional filed tab in F110 , you will find this warning message in the log.
Further you can chcek this warning message property if you can change this from warning to warning plus email or any other option, which will prevent /alert duplicate file processeing.
Cheers

Errors not appearing in alert file
Hi,
Just getting my first experience of Oracle on Windows. The application I am supporting is getting ORA-04030 errors, which we are now investigating, but my question is why these errors were not written to the alert file for that database?
My usual platform is unix, where although I have not seen ORA-04030 errors, I have seen ORA-4031 which I'm sure gets written to the alert file.
ThanksHi,
You may not get ORA-4030 in the Alert log as it for system level resource issue, so it should appear at run time for new processes trying to create new processes and are requesting memory. The existing running database processes does not get impacted when they already have memory allocated.
04030, 00000, "out of process memory when trying to allocate %s bytes (%s,%s)"
// *Cause: Operating system process private memory has been exhausted
// *Action:
Not all ORA errors reported on alert.log file. Some of the ORA errors are reported only on client side. This error will be reported on alert.log if any of the oracle server processes is not able to allocate memory.

hi friends..
i searched many forums to get file creation date
i didnt get the solution but i found one program which execute
dos command and gets the output of that.
so using that program i developed a program to get the file creation Date & Time also
//getCreationDate.java
import java.io.*;
import java.lang.*;
public class getCreationDate {
public static void main (String args[]){
try {
// get runtime environment and execute child process
Runtime systemShell = Runtime.getRuntime();
BufferedReader br1=new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
System.out.println("Enter filename: ");
String fname=(String)br1.readLine();
Process output = systemShell.exec("cmd /c dir "+fname);
// open reader to get output from process
BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader (new InputStreamReader(output.getInputStream()));
String out="";
String line = null;
int step=1;
while((line = br.readLine()) != null )
if(step==6)
out=line;
step++;
} // display process output
try{
out=out.replaceAll(" ","");
System.out.println("CreationDate: "+out.substring(0,10));
System.out.println("CreationTime: "+out.substring(10,16)+"m");
catch(StringIndexOutOfBoundsException se)
System.out.println("File not found");
catch (IOException ioe){ System.err.println(ioe); }
catch (Throwable t) { t.printStackTrace();}
}Following line should be modified to make it work on all platforms:
Process output = systemShell.exec("cmd /c dir "+fname); -
I am recieving this error messgae in standby alert file. Any one have idea about this message
ksvcreate: Process(m000) creation failed

Nfs mount point does not allow file creations via java.io.File
Folks,
I have mounted an nfs drive to iFS on a Solaris server:
mount -F nfs nfs://server:port/ifsfolder /unixfolder
I can mkdir and touch files no problem. They appear in iFS as I'd expect. However if I write to the nfs mount via a JVM using java.io.File encounter the following problems:
Only directories are created ? unless I include the user that started the JVM in the oinstall unix group with the oracle user because it's the oracle user that writes to iFS not the user that creating the files!
I'm trying to create several files in a single directory via java.io.File BUT only the first file is created. I've tried putting waits in the code to see if it a timing issue but this doesn't appear to be. Writing via java.io.File to either a native directory of a native nfs mountpoint works OK. ie. Junit test against native file system works but not against an iFS mount point. Curiously the same unit tests running on PC with a windows driving mapping to iFS work OK !! so why not via a unix NFS mapping ?
many thanks in advance.
CHi Diep,
have done as requested via Oracle TAR #3308936.995. As it happens the problem is resolved. The resolution has been not to create the file via java.io.File.createNewFile(); before adding content via an outputStream. if the File creation is left until the content is added as shown below the problem is resolved.
Another quick question is link creation via 'ln -fs' and 'ln -f' supported against and nfs mount point to iFS ? (at Operating System level, rather than adding a folder path relationship via the Java API).
many thanks in advance.

Delaying folder action until file creation is complete
I'm trying to create a folder action that takes the output of a bounce from ProTools and then imports it into iTunes. The problem I'm having is that it takes real time (about 20 min) to create the complete ProTools file in the folder, however the script begins to execute immediately, before the bounce is complete. This gives me 1 second of audio garbage.
Is there any way to delay the folder action until the file creation (bounce, upload, transfer, whatever) is done?
Thanks.V.K. Thanks again for your help. When I look in my folder directory/library/scripts/folder action scripts, I see many scripts for images as well as scripts for closing subfolders, converting to pdf, open - show comments in dialog, and add - new item alert, however I don't see anything that was created recently (i.e. something that was created when I built my Automator workflow (folder action). The closest (to what I am looking for) Folder Action Script could find was "add - new item alert.scpt", which is an existing Apple written script, but this will not really help me. When I created my initial automator script, it created a folder and file and workflow in my homefolder/library/Workflows/Applications/Folder Actions/xxx.workflow, however I cannot open this workflow in applescript. I even tried changing the extension to .scpt. I'm not sure I can accomplish the desired result with Automator alone, but I don't think I am well versed enough in AppleScript. Thanks for your help.
