Alert for VM CPU percentage remain "Not activated"

We created an alert rule for the CPU percentage of a VM with a low threshold (10%) for testing. The threshold was exceeded for several minutes - longer than the alert evaluation window. The rule was enabled, of course.
However, there was neither an e-mail alert nor an entry in the management dashboard. The website alert we created works properly.
Are such problems known?

  • Alerts for recurring calendar appointments do not go off

Does anyone else have this issue?  I have a bunch of recurring calendar events, set up in Outlook 2010, which the iPhone 4 used to show alerts for.  Now (not sure when this started, but w/in last few months) there aren't any alerts even though I can see "1 day before" in the iPhone Calendar app for the recurring event.  I even made a slight change to the recurring event in hopes of getting them back on track but no luck.  Thanks.

I'm having the exact same issue with my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.3.3, 4.3.4 and 4.3.5). I'm a new user (this is my first iPhone, bought one month ago), so I can't comment on earlier iOS versions. In the one month that I have the phone, I'm absolutely sure that I have never had an alert from a recurring event. I only noticed it a couple of weeks ago. I'm only using all-day events (for anniversaries, etc.), so I'm not sure if the same applies to other types of events.
I have made several tests and I can confirm that no alerts are generated for recurring all-day events. Something is seriously messed up in the Calendar App algorithms. At first I thought it had to do with MS Outlook 2007, whose calendar is synced with the iPhone. But when I create a recurring all-day event directly on the iPhone I get exactly the same behaviour (no alert, no pop-up, no sound, nothing). I can see the event on Calendar on the iPhone, and I can also see the alert settings (the time it should be generated, e.g., "Alert: 2 hours before"). So everything looks OK on the iPhone, but the alerts are never generated. I also did a test with a non-recurring all-day event, and everything worked fine (I got the alert pop-up and sound at the time I specified). This means that it's something specific to recurring events. Finally, I restored the iPhone to factory defaults and tried again by creating a recurring event directly on the untouched, factory-reset iPhone. Same thing, no alerts, no pop-ups, no sound, nothing.
This is clearly a serious bug in the Calendar App and I'm very surprised that Apple has not released an update to fix it. Also, I couldn't find much information on the Internet about this issue. That's why I'm replying to this thread, to let you and others know that you are not alone. I asked a friend of mine who is running iOS 5 Beta 2 and he said that everything works fine, so I guess we'll have to wait for iOS 5 to fix the issue.
I hope this helps someone out there. If anyone running iOS 4.3.3 or later is having the same problem, please reply here. Most of all, I hope that the guys at Apple read this and do something about it.

  • Sound alerts for received and sent mail not working

How can this be fixed? Using yahoo email. Did work before upgrading to os4.3

Do you have system sounds off?  Go into settings and see if you have selected Mute System Sounds or Lock Screen Orientation for the button on the right hand side of your iPad, just above the volume control.  If you have Mute System Sounds checked, simply move the button in the opposite direction.  If you have Lock Screen Orientation checked for that button, click your home button once to go to your home screen.  Then double click your home button twice and your most recently used Apps will appear on the bottom row.  On that row, with your finger, swipe those Apps to the right all the way and an icon will appear on the very left side.  It should be a mute button and by touching it, you will turn system sounds back on.  Let me know if this solves your problem.
If neither option works, reboot your iPad.  Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore red slider) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  You will not lose any data or settings.

  • Latest Alert for Adobe Acrobat - Upgrade will not work, Any ideas???

Hi, When the issue with Acrobat first occured (ERROR MESSAGE:  Licensing for this product has stopped working.     You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair this problem by uninstalling and reinstalling this product or contact your IT Administrator or Adobe Customer Support), I did unistall and reinstall my Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, once finished reinstalling, the error kept reappearing. I also jumped onto the Adobe website and download the latest upgrade to fix this problem (http://www.adobe.com/ap/support/security/bulletins/apsb09-04.html), but the problem keeps continuing.
Any thoughts or ideas will be much appreciated. I have tried every combination of tricks and reinstalls etc and cant get it too work at all.

  • RSSM: Checks Authorization Objects for Infoprovider are not activ

    Hello,
we have BW 3.5 and we use RSSM Authorization Objects.
When we create a new cube with an Infoobject that is authorization relevant, in our development-system in rssm the flags for the checks are automatically activ.
When we transport the new cube to our production-system, the flags in RSSM for the authorization object are not activ.
Sometimes the new infoprovider is not in the list of the infoprovider in rssm, so we have to "update check status" with the appropriate icon.
    My question:
It is possible, that when we import the new cube in our production-system, that all authorization objects are activ??

    Hi,
Normally system would check all the authorization relevant objects whenever a new Info cube is imported and in case if you want to transport these changes to Production system manually then follow the below listed steps:
    1) In Development system, check or un-check the authorization relevancy using the transaction RSSM on a given Info provider
    2) These changes are stored in table RSSTOBJDIR
    3) Create a manuall transport request and include these entries covering the required Authorization objects manually.
    R3TR TABU RSSTOBJDIR
Ex: If Info object 'A' is authorization relevant in Development system but not in Production system and you want to transport this change to Production system then include object 'A' table entries manually.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

  • Can I have calendar alerts for only one calendar with multiple calendars?

My wife has multiple calendars on her iPhone (mine and hers), but she would like to receive alerts/notifications only for the items on her calendar. Is this possible? (This seems to be the opposite problem from what this person experienced: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8479193.)
We sync with Outlook on a PC via iTunes.

I have the very same problem. In our company, we have shared CalDAV calendars for every employee. I receive and sync those to my Mac and to my iPhone/iPod Touch; on both platforms I only want alerts for my personal appointments, and not to get alerted when my colleagues have a business lunch.
Interestingly, in iCal on Mac OS X, there is an option "Ignore Alarms" for every single shared calendar, and I can cherry-pick those that I want to get alerted about. This is exactly the behavior I want on the iPhone, too, which regrettably is not possible (yet?).
The other option would be to forbid alarms in shared calendars for everybody, which is not feasible, too, because people might want to get alarms without having to duplicate the date to some personal calendar first.
So if anyone has a practical solution to this problem, I'd be happy to hear about it. Thanks!

  • GRC 5.3 Access Control - Critical Alerts for permissions

We have successfully configured alerts for transactions, but we have not been able to generate any alerts to indicate when a user executes the transaction and makes a change.
Should the risk containing the function be saved as Critical Action or Critical Permission?
How should the auth object be added to the function?
I have noticed when adding a transaction to a function 5.3 does not import the auth objects like VIRSA backend clients.  Is this correct or was something missed in the configuration?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Joe

    Hi Pablo,
AC 5.3 release will have it's first anniversary in second half of 2009 and it is far better product than AC 5.2. Trust me, and go with AC 5.3, you won't be disappointed. Products in AC 5.2 are very restrictive and you will get frustrated with RE for sure.
The recommendations you provided came out of installation guide and other documents. These requirements are ok but I would not recommend you to go with them. Insted, it would be better to go through the sizing guiding and size your server accordingly.
SAP used to have AC 5.2 sizing guide but they have removed it from SMP as they have replaced it with sizing guide for AC 5.3. Here is the link to the guide:
    https://websmp203.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=00200797470000071612&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000112&_OBJECT=011000358700000435122007E
If you still want to go with AC 5.2 then open a message with SAP and they can provide you. I even has that guide so if you want it, I can share it with you.

    Hi,
Try this to persist div ids in rich text editor in cq5.6
Create a folder structure similar to "/libs/cq/ui/rte/core/HtmlSerializer.js"  in apps as "/apps/cq/ui/rte/core/HtmlSerializer.js". Make sure that the folder structure and node types are as same as in libs. Then set "idAttribMode" to "keep" in "_init" function of HtmlSerializer.js. It will work
    Thanks,
    Arya.

  • SQL 2008R2 - Performance Condition alert for CPU Threshold event

I am trying to use SQLServer Agent alert for Resoure governor setup. I would like to be alerted when CPU threshold -> REQUEST_MAX_CPU_TIME_SEC >  20 -> is crossed for any particular query. I am in RTM version for SQL2008R2. For some reason
the alert never occurs thru SQL Agent Alert.
    Here is my alert configuration

I have tried changing the default setting for resource governor to various #s (1, 5, 20, 600) . But for any change, if i use perf condition > 5, i dont get any alert. If i use < 5 then i get alerts...

I got the event notifications / service broker solution working.  Thanks to
Aaron Bertrand blog for providing me with a working model.
I ended up using Aaron's code to create a more generic framework to support the processing of any number of trace events (not just exceeding resource governor's max cpu).

  • Curve 9360 custom sound alerts for messages will not work. Tried EVERYTHING.

I have a brand spanking new BlackBerry Curve 9360 that just arrived yesterday.  It is great apart from this very frustrating small prob.  I can not customise my message alerts for individual people in my address book.  When I click on "try it" only the LED button flashes and there is no sound or vibration.  I am trying to get the sound and vibrate to play as "active profile" but it just won't.  I can override it and have custom volume and vibrate that plays no matter what the profile but as I sometimes like to set my main profile to vibrate or silent, it won't do.
So far, to fix it, I have tried:
Wiping profile and sounds from the blackberry software
    Full factory reset
Creating my own profile and using that instead of "normal" or any of the other preset ones
Loads of battery pulls before and/or after any changes
I have also had a few different people text me to make sure the problem isn't just the "try it" feature.  It isn't.  The sound that plays is always the default message sound for whatever the default profile is.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated
    Deb

I have also experienced exactly the same problem.
The profile is set on normal, with the ringer volume on 10, the ring tone has been selected, and I have also selected the option of the vibrator along with the ring tone.
Now here is the problem, initially it rings and works perfectly, however it seems to automatically turn off the volume so the LED light keeps flashing, however there is not ring tone or vibration.
If you select the "normal" profile or any other profile and change the ring tone or the volume, and click on the try it icon at the bottom, it still only flashes the LED, with no sound.
Have tried everything that you have mentioned in your email, however still unable to rectify the issue. the only way to rectify is it to hard stop the BB, by pulling out the battery and restarting the Blackberry.
Can anyone help or suggest what needs to be done ?

By the way, I agree with sybrand: you need to tune
    your redo log size.

    http://oracledisect.blogspot.com
    Ignacio,
The excessive waits on log file parallel write and the related client wait of log file sync may be due to insufficient CPU availability, and may not point at an actual redo log size problem or a problem with the disk speed where the redo is written to disk, especially if there are 3 Oracle instances on the server with a single CPU.
    Paraphrased from "Optimizing Oracle Performance":
The log file sync wait event is one of the first events to show increased latencies due to the time a process spends waiting in a CPU wait queue while processing excessive logical IOs.
Kevin Closson wrote a couple blog entries that examined the potential problems of insufficient CPU capacity and its effects on log file parallel write when writing to solid state disks, and even when writing redo was explicitly disabled:
    http://kevinclosson.wordpress.com/2007/07/21/manly-men-only-use-solid-state-disk-for-redo-logging-lgwr-io-is-simple-but-not-lgwr-processing/
"Once LGWR loses his CPU it may be quite some time until he gets it back. For instance, if LGWR is preempted in the middle of trying to perform a redo buffer flush, there may be several time slices of execution for other processes before LGWR gets back on CPU..." Fix the CPU problem, and the other significant waits may decrease.
    JesusLuvR,
yingkuan's suggestion to look at the SQL statement that performs the 4,365,564 logical IOs, consumes 186.03 CPU seconds, and has an execution time of 225.06 seconds, is likely a very good starting point. You might also want to check the value of the SESSION_CACHED_CURSORS parameter to see if it needs to be adjusted.

  • Whenever it is not active, Firefox Mobile 10 constantly uses 10-40% CPU

Samsung Galaxy S Infuse 4g (aka "Galaxy S 1.5") with Gingerbread.
While it is the active application, Firefox seems to be using reasonable amounts of CPU. If it is not active, though, it constantly uses 10-40%, until it gets background killed, which obviously eats through the battery.
    This happens with Sync disabled.
Is there anything I can do about this, aside from file a bug and wait for v11?

Letting Firefox run like this in the background and eating through a fully-charged battery in less than 3 hours is simply ludicrous. No other Android app I've ever encountered works this way. I use Firefox exclusively on my desktop and laptop and was looking forward to using it on my mobile so I could take advantage of sync. But, after finding my phone completely discharged, as soon as I had enough power to restart, I yanked Firefox off as quick as possible. Not funny. Not acceptable, especially since there is NO WARNING of this behavior. WTH are you thinking??????
