  • Monitor MTE Class "CCMS_DB_mcmtc"

I have one question regarding monitoring of the SAP Systems and the MTE Class CCMS_DB_mcmtc from Solution Manager.
In the satellite systems, that are monitored from another Solution Manager, I have the monitor "SAP DB"
(Tcode RZ20 --> SAP CCMS Monitor Templates --> Database -->SAP DB)
In satellite systems , that are monitered from my Solution Manager, I miss the monitor "SAP DB" and have only
(Tcode RZ20 -->  SAP CCMS Monitor Templates -->  Database  …)
If I try to create the monitor “SAP DB” the popup warning tells me “SAP monitor sets cannot be modified”
The problem is that, if I create monitor with MTE Class CCMS_DB_mcmtc, then I receive the warning for the appropriate satelite system:
<SID> : MTE class CCMS_DB_mcmtc : No MTEs currently available
What are the technical steps to solve this problem?
    Thank you very much!
    Regards
    Thom

    Hello Thom,
    > Tcode RR20 ...
    > Which monitor should be checked?
SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors - CCMS Selfmonitoring
    > Where do I find the background dispatching?
This is described in the Online documentation: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/be/44443c4a08ba26e10000000a114084/frameset.htm">Activating and Deactivating Method Execution</a>
Please note that you have to check this in the monitored system, not in the CEN!

  • MTE Class for qRFC monitoring

    Hi experts,
I need to configure a new queue group to monitor some of the outbound qRFC BW queues. Which MTE class should i opt for in RZ21? And which Exit FM should i select?
    Thanks.
    Rgds,

Please check whether saposcol is running, also check the status of the agent in Rz21.
    Test the agent and connection.

  • Ccms monitoring single definition under and MTE class

    Hi Guys
For CCMS monitoring under RZ20 i am looking for a way to define a node that allow me to monitor a specific definition for those mte that dinamically create those definitions from the source system, for instance
if you select MTE class: filesystem you get the list of all the filesystems, like
    /db2/SM1/sapdata1
    /db2/SM1/sapdata2
    /var
So lets says I just want to monitor  /db2/SM1/sapdata1 and not to display the rest of the filesystems on RZ20
is there a way to configure this? maybe using some kind of filter for the name.
I want to configure this for the j2ee connector service but i get a buch of  connector Applications RZ20 and I just want to monitor one of those Applications
    Thanks for your help.

Thanks for this good document but I think it is not enough for me. I had registered the sapccmsr agent with J2EE option but it is not monitor the database correctly on the same physical server. In the Monitoring node of server process in Visual Admin i can't find a relevant object to activate database free space monitoring. In posted document I can't find the detailed information, too. Please provide me with a detailed specific information. Many thanks.
Which service is relevant to collect database relevant data to monitor non ABAP databases like single J2EE instances oder non-SAP Databases.

  • MTE class for the monitoring SAPDB systems (tcode DB50)

    Hi!
I would like to set up the monitoring of tcode DB50.
Here I would like to check, whether the monitors
DB50 --> Problem analysis --> SQL performance --> Command monitor
    as well as
DB50 --> Problem analysis --> SQL performance --> Resource monitor
    are red/deactivated.
    How can I do this?
Is there some MTE class behind it?
If no how can I build such one?
    Thank you very much!
    regards
    Thom

    Hi Marcus,
No, I mean quite the contrary:
I would like to monitor automatically with MTE class.
    Both monitors should be red/deactivated.
If it is not the case, an alarm should be created.
Unfortunately I cannot find the MTE path under RZ20: CCMS Monitor Templates --> Database
    My Question:
Do you have any ideas how to set this action automatically?
    a) to use an existing MTE
    b) to create a new one
    c) to write ABAP program
    d) to create eCATT
    Thank you very much!
    regards

  • Alert monitor for long running background jobs

    Hello,
I have to configure an alert moniter for long running background jobs which are running more than 20000 secs using rule based. I have created a rule based MTE and assigend MTE class CCMS_GET_MTE_BY_CLASS to virtual node but i dont find a node to specify the time.
could any one guide me how can i do this.
    Thanks,
    Kasi

    Hi *,
I think the missing bit is where to set the maximum runtime. The runtime is set in the collection method and not the MTE class.
process:  rz20 --> SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors --> All Contexts on local application server --> background --> long-running jobs. Click on 'Jobs over Runtime Limits' then properties, click the methods tab then double click 'CCMS_LONGRUNNING_JOB_COLLECT', in the parameters tab you can then set the maximum runtime.
If you need to monitor specific jobs, follow the process (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/1d/ab3207b610e3408fff44d6b1de15e6/content.htm) to create the rule based monitor, then follow this process to set the runtime.
    Hope this helps.

    Riyaan.

  • Assign CEN autoreaction to MTE class on Satellite system

    Hi All,
I am trying to assign Central Auto Reaction from Solution Manager system for PI SXMB_MONI alert messages.
These alerts belong to MTE Class which lies on PID system. I want to assign them to an autoreaction method created in Solution manager system. And it is not allowing me to define the email method created on Solution Manager system to the MTE class (SXMBysSErrorAlerts) which exists in PI system.
What is the way around? Cant this alert be Centrally Monitored and assigned to a method?
I have tried RZ21 -> Configure Central SYstem -> Defined Central Autoreaction....But unfortunately this does not generate the alert.
Any helps thougghts would be helpful!
    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hi ALl,
All these configuration steps are in place. I am trying to set up Error Alerts for SXMB_MONI in the SXMB_MONI transaction.
    1) We have implemented OSS note 1259801 CCMS monitor architecture: Central auto-reaction which is somewhat related to our problem.
    2) Activated the SAP_CCMS_CENSYS_DISPATCHER job in Client 000
As per the help document, http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/ac/825f18c02e454dac8da51f4eb22265/frameset.htm, once you have activated the Central Auto Reaction, "Defination Status" "AL_TD_DEF_CEN_CHECKED" should be displayed. This is not bieng displayed. Currently it is displaying " Defination Status as AL_TD_DEF_CHECKED"
Also in MTE Class when I select MTE Class in RZ20, it displays <No Method> used, although in Central Auto Reaction has been in place and can be seen.
    Please share your thought!
    Thanks-

  • MTE Class Availability_RFC_Destinations_MA_Class Metric

    Hello guys,
We need to monitoring Precalc server with Solution Mnager.
We are create RFC to Precal Server in our Solman and test MTE Class Availability_RFC_Destinations_MA_Class with FM /SDF/E2E_CCMS_MTE
FM work well and display the correct information.
But when we create metric and alert for technical monitoring we get an red alert in system monitoring.
We try to set threshold as "Numeric Threshold (GtoY/YtoR/RtoY/YtoG)" and trigger to "Falls below or equals threshold" as for MTE Class
But still get red alert in the system monitoring.
Please advise what threshold we must set up for this MTE Class.
    BR,
    Mikhail

    Hi
CCMS custom metrics only for very specific MTES like emails, spool queue. For RFC availablity monitoring we have dedicated standard functionality available, you nt required to go via custom
    try -> solman_setup-> Technical monitoring -> connectivity monitoring http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm71_sp01/helpdata/en/82/33df9df04c465bad6fa4c96a7c3c62/content.htm

  • Where can I find Up-to-date yet detailed description on CCMS MTE classes

    Hello!
I am wondering if there are any complete documentation about Predefined
MTE classes for CCMS tool set. The document of "Predefined Monitors for the Alert Monitor" on the service marketplace is rather incomplete covering the part of predefined MTEs. We are currently using ERP 2004.
    Thank you.

  • ALERT MONITOR

    Hello
I have configured the Alert Monitor, Alert is triggered, the message comes on the external mail.
But I have 2 questions related to the Alert Monitor.
    1) Explain what the appointment of the following fields in the t-code ALRTCATDEF:
alrtcatdef -> Properties -> Max. No. of Dels
alrtcatdef -> Properties -> Expiry Time in Min.
If I understand correctly, these two parameters make it possible to limit the number sent to external e-mail messages to one Alert category for a specified period of time?
If so, I have this option does not work, it is ignored.
That is, point out in t-code ALRTCATDEF: 3 posts in 5 minutes. 10 generating error messages. I get 10 messages per mailbox.
(Error is generated by running a report, calling class PROXY, which obviously causes an error).
How to limit the number of outgoing messages to external mail Alert for one category for a specified period of time?
    2) When an error occurs in the JDBC adapter (eg: "ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into (" PI "." MY_TABLE "." FIELD_1 ")") can not get data from the container (t-code ALRTCATDEF):
    SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRTXT (Data Type - CHAR70)
    SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRLINES (Data Type - ALPF_STRING_TAB)
However, other containers, normally return their contents.
In t-code: alrtcatdef -> Long and Short Text -> Long Text (E-Mail, Fax) wrote the following:
    Error in Adapter Engine: &SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRTXT&.
Full text errors in Adapter Engine: &SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRLINES []&.
How can I put in an error message JDBC adapter?

I know and use, but it has many disadvantages.

The fact that SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRLINES reflects more complete information about the error, I know. But I did not receive any information from SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRTXT, and SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRLINES.
Containers returns NULL, while the RWB in Message Monitoring error is displayed.

  • How to setup FAX Alert CCMS MTE

    Hi,
I would like to know how to setup fax alert, for example if fax does not work, so what is MTE will I use for fax alert
all others alerts are working fine and i received e mail , how do I receive e mail if fax does not working... ?
    Thanks

    Hi
The alert inbox is user-specific and displays all the alerts for each alert server that have been generated based on the alert configuration.
An alert can be delivered to you by e-mail, fax, or SMS. In each case, you will also find the alert in your alert inbox, irrespective of the delivery method
In the Personalization tab in the alert inbox, you can either specify how u want the alert to be sent via fax, sms or mail. In your case it will be fax.
    MTE
By resetting a monitoring tree element, you delete open alerts and data collected for the MTE. You can also reset multiple selected MTEs, or also all MTEs in a particular hierarchy in the monitoring tree. Resetting an MTE deletes alerts and performance data.
To be able to reset MTEs and alerts, you must first activate the maintenance functions.
Choose CCMS ® Control/Monitoring ® Alert Monitor in the SAP Easy Access menu, or call transaction RZ20.
Expand the monitor set that contains the monitors that you require and choose Start Monitor.
Choose Extras ® Activate Maintenance Function.
Select the MTEs that you want to reset and choose Edit ® Node (MTE) ® Reset.
After you have confirmed the Alert Monitor warning, the MTEs are reset to their status at the time of the system start or their insertion into the Alert Monitor. The Alert Monitor continues to collect data and trigger alerts for the MTEs.

  • Central auto-reaction for weinqueue and weoutqueue - which MTE Class

    Hello,
In my CEN system (SAP Solution Manager), I want to assign a central auto-reaction method - for all my managed systems - regarding :
    1. IDoc Inbound Queue - weinqueue
    2. IDoc Outbound Queue - weoutqueue
In SAP Solution Manager, from RZ21, Technical Infrastructure, Configure Central System, Assign Central Autoreactions,
you choose the managed system SID, the MTE Class and the "Central Autoreactions".
Do you know what is the MTE Class for both "IDoc Inbound Queue - weinqueue" and  "IDoc Outbound Queue - weoutqueue" ?
    Thanks
    Best regards
    PC

    Hi PC,
it is ALEIDcMTClass but its common for both Inbound and outbound idocs (Generic).
the other option is ALEIDcMTAttCl but it s generic and is specific to a object you are looking at.
You have to manage/configure the autoreaction according to the object you are looking at.(Monitoring object).
    Thanks,
    jagan
