Alert Proxy system or application through RUN TIME WORKBENCH of PI

Hi friends,
I am using PI 7.0 and at one scenarios we are communicating PI to another SAP system through proxies.
PI 7.0 ==> Proxies--> SAP SYSTEM.
Now we setup the alert at PI system through alert category and run time workbench.
Is it possible that can I use PI 7.0 alert system to monitor the message received by the other SAP application. Here I would like to monitor only that if any message send by the other Appln through proxy and if this message failed in SAP application system or stuck in queue then I should get an alert.
or we can say I would like to monitor the local integration engine with the help of PI runtime work bench and monitoring system.
Please let me know what can be the possible solution for the same and through some light for this approach.

I do not want to monitor the queue. I want to monitor the assocated SAP system where we are coommunicating through proxies . I mean the local integration engine or we can say if any message coming from the PI and then it has been received successfully or not .

Short dump has not been completely stored. It is too big.

The "Null Error Stack" that is shown in the Run time workbench

The Data is set to flow from SAP R/3 system to target system through XI. When the data is triggered in the SAP system, the same data is getting updated in the target system database. But when i check in the Run time workbench for the same, in the active log the following error is shown
"Received XI System Error. ErrorCode: RUNTIME_EXCEPTION ErrorText: null ErrorStack: Runtime exception occurred during mapping" and "
The message was successfully transmitted to endpoint com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Application:RUNTIME_EXCEPTION: using connection RFC".
When i monitor the same using T-code sxmb_moni, i am getting the error "Thrown: java.lang.NullPointerException".
Can someone please explain what is this Null Pointer Exception and how can this be solved?

This can be the mapping error.
Take the source payload from SXMB_MONI, copy it and paste in the 'Test' tab of Message mapping in IR.
Check if you are getting any error or it is successful there.

Copy picture of graph to clipboard through run-time shortcut menu

Hi,
I have following problem. I would like to copy picture of graph to clipboard through graph “run-time shortcut menu”. It’s easy when I want copy exactly what I see. There is an Item Tag: APP_SC_COPY_DATA. That works nice. Try an example1.vi. (Run then right click on the graph...)
But problem is when I want to change the graph appearance before copying (only change the colour of the graph to be more printer-friendly). I have created a subVi with copy of the graph with changed colour. But how to simulate for the graph inside the subVi same runtime shortcut event? How to call APP_SC_COPY_DATA of subVi graph from outside Vi?
I hope I’ve explain it clear.
If you have better method for clipboard copying tell me.

Application's run-time shortcut menus don't work on local drive.

The run-time menus in my application don't work, unless I run the application from the location where it is built. This project has an application build specification, and an installer build specification. The installer specification, copies the app to the local drive. But the run-time shortcut menus do not work when the app runs. Nothing happens when I right click on the control. However if I run the same app from the network drive, where the application build spec builds it, it runs fine. When I have the application build spec build the app directly to the local drive, it works fine. The exe, ini and aliase files are identical. Why does this app run differently depending on which drive it's on? How can I fix it so the run-time shortcut menus work on the target machine? Any ideas?

Hello, I believe that when you create a custom run-time menu it gets saved to a file. My guess is that you are not including this file as part of the build specification for the application. The file likely exists in the build directory but does not on the target directory which is why it no longer works. If that does not fix the problem, let me know and I will see if I can figure something else out.

Application builder-run time error

Is the run-time engine installed? A LV EXE can not run without the RTE.
When you build an EXE, you have the option to create an installer, which will also install the RTE. If you build an EXE with no VI defined, it should build an installer with only the RTE.
Alternatively, you can try looking for the RTE installer on your LV CD or on this site.

Hi Hema,
You need to create this Exit Variable with the condition that it should be generated ias a optional variable in the universe.
The reason for being is that when the prompt screen is appeared there is no default value which will be shown in the prompt. But when you press the run query button (will be enabled only after you make the prompt as optional) the BO query will fetch the data applying the restriction of the sysdate.

How to Refresh JTree if a file System got changed during Run-time

Can anyone tell me how to refresh a JTree(javax.swing.JTree) used for displaying file system(both local and remote).
I'm getting a problem if a file/directoy is added to the file system, after my Applet is loaded. Actually, i have used DefaultTreeModel's reload() method for refreshing and calling it inside SwingUtilities.invokeLater() using Thread, but its not working.
I want that the tree should reflect the latest Files/Directories on the click of a node, if any file or directory is added under that node.
Plz tell me if this is possible or not.

I want to Create an Single Installer (My Application + DSC Run Time License )

I want to create an single installer by including my Application and DSC RTL, So by using this i will give an single installer to my clients where they dont have any Lab VIEW components. Even though i seen some similar post, but its doesnt give me a proper solution for this. Please do the needfull.

Hi Vijay,
I think, there is no seperate RTL for DSC (for that matter, for any of other NI addons/toolkits) to be included in the installer.
You need to select the appropriate installer from the Additional Installers category while creating the installer.
Please see the attached pic.

is there any system requirements for LabVIEW Run-time engine 8.6? for example, same system requirements for LabVIEW 8.6? Internet Explorer 5 is fine? or Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher is fine? Does it work for Firefox on an Athena Linux mechine?

The system requirements can be found in the Release Notes. Pages 2 and 3 indicate the specific requirements for the Run-Time Engine per platform.

Members on rows, can they be passed to run-time prompt in a business rule?

I have a input form which has a business rule with properties "Run on Save" and "Use members on Form".
The business rule has run-time prompts (local variables) as follows (showing only the fix part of br...)

Now my accounts are on rows and I would like pass those account members to the [V_Account] variable through run time prompt. The [V_Account] ís a local variable with Type "Members" in Account dimension. I have also selected 0-level accounts as limits. Other dimension members from page/pov seem be passed successfully to run-time-prompts.
The run-time-prompt does not seem to be able to catch those account members on rows? Is it at all possible to pass members on dataform rows to run time prompts?

Throws Run time error at runtime.

Hi freinds,
I've downloaded special jar file and placed in "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_11\jre\lib\ext".
I've used one of the IO class from this jar file in my Candies.java class.
When i going to compile it from command prompt it compiles dine but at run time while running following command ,
D:\TP>javac Candies.java
D:\TP>java Candies
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: ncst/pgdst/IOException
When i compile and run this code with IDE 'JCreator' it works fine.
Why the same application throws run time error at command prompt?
How could i resolve this issue ?
Note:I've also set classpath to "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_11\jre\lib\ext\." .

If i placed the jar file some where else how could
used it in my source file?To use a class in your source code, you just import its package and make sure the jar is on the classpath, nothing else is necessary.
I'm stick to command prompt as i want include the
input file(which contains big input) at run time
using the command
D:\TP>java Candies < input
Is it possible with any IDE to include such text file
at run time , if so how could i do this?All IDEs let their users specify parameters for programs they start from within the IDE. See doc of your IDE. (But people here don't recommend IDEs for beginners ;)
But why it compiles fine and giving me Error at run
time if it is not set in the classpath?Looks like it is because that class is not used directly in your code but your code calls another class that uses that missing class.
I've also change the classpath to

problem exist , why is it so as i'm giving the actual
path now?You still don't specify the exact jar! E.g: C:\j2sdk1.4.2_11\jre\lib\ext\pgdst.jar\aa.jar
