Alert when Tasks Overdue
Hi All,
I have a problem when create the new tasks in the SAP Portal for deadline yesterday, I need configure for each hour , and day after for this task send the mail, but these configure don't send the mail.
How to configure for before and after send the mail for the assigned in the Tasks??
We need configure these steps for recursive time??

I see documentation the UWL and it's possible configuration the alert when tasks overdue , without the using Guided Procedures.
I search these documentation, because, I will need configuration for example send mail each hour when the task is overdue

How do I have a Server send my workstation an alert when it shuts down?
We have a rack containing all 6 servers (including our DC) running Server 2008 R2 that are connected to an APC UPS. We have an issue where there is an Emergency Shutoff switch in one of the classrooms that gets "accidentally bumped into" on occasions,
usually once a month. The shutoff switch is on the same circuit breaker that our servers UPS is connected to (no we can not get it moved). When the breaker trips, the UPS switches over to battery power, and the servers have about an hour until the UPS looses
battery power and they all shut down. Then I get phone calls saying the network is down. I have to go to the electrical room, switch the breaker on, then go to the server room and power on all the servers again.
I need a resolution to this problem that will let me know when the servers go down, so I can hopefully run over and get them back up and running in time before I get flooded with phone calls. There are about 200 computers on the network so it's a pretty
big deal when our file shares, and DC go down. I found the software "Powerchute Business Edition" that I can download from APC for free. From reading the documentation it looks as if I could connect a serial cable to one of the servers from the UPS,
and also install the software on my admin workstation and receive an alert when the UPS switches to battery power. This would give me enough time to run over and switch the breaker on in time to save the network. However, I asked APC and they said
the software does not work this way, and is only for monitoring power usage.
So, I'm wondering if there is another solution using some kind of event monitoring, maybe have a scheduled task that when it sees a certain event to alert me on my workstation. I don't know how or if this is possible. Any ideas?Hi,

1. Contact your server vendor to get the related server management software like DELL ITA or HPSIM.
2. Deploy other free system monitor tool like Nagios or Cacti. But you need to maintain these system by yourself.

Generate Alerts for Task changes in Project Schedule
Hi,
I would like to generate alerts to all the Project resources when a Task has been revised in Project Schedule. Does MS Project Server 2010 provides this functionality OOTB?
If this not available OOTB, I am planning to write an event handler to generate alerts for Task updates. Would an en event handler for Task level changes impact performance of server?.Hello,

SCOM 2012 R2 - Generate an alert when a specific event will not come in specific time range
Hello SCOM people,
I need to figure out what kind of monitor shall I choose for my monitoring of a specific event. I need to generate an alert when no specific event was generated by server.
Our company uses FIM 2010 with scheduled tasks, after each completed task is generated an event to application log. When sync is stuck or something is wrong no event will come to application log and I need to be warned. Tasks run each 30minutes and there
should not be an hour break between the previously created event.

That sounds like a good scenario for using Orchestrator and the SCOM Integration Pack, since you can have time-triggers, etc. to check for Alerts and then trigger a Runbook to email someone if the Alert does/does not appear.

To get JavaMail to work in conjunction with Workflow the following configuration is required. Steps to configure the JavaMail notification using the JavaMail:
1. Navigate to System Administration ® System Configuration ® Universal Worklist and Workflow ® Workflow ® Engine
2. Change the Notification Service to: com.sap.workflow.es.notificator.JavaMailNotification
3. Save.
If using the KMC Mail Notification, the Notification Service should be : com.sap.workflow.es.notificator.KMNotificationServiceProxy
4. Now navigate to System Administration ® System Configuration ® Universal Worklist and Workflow ® Workflow ® Mail

Why am I getting File not Found alert when I type into my browser?
Why do I keep getting a File not Found alert when I type into my browser?
I have been using firefox for about 4 yrs now with very few problems. The problem I am having is that when ever I go to type in anything into my browser I keep receiving this message:

Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox/omni.jar!/chrome/en-US/locale/browser-region/region.propertieschronic+fatigue+syndrome.
I recently installed Firefox 5.0 and this keeps happening. It happened with the 4.0 version a couple of days ago but mostly it is the 5.0 version that I am having problems with. When ever I want to do a search I have to manually type in google.com. Is there a solution to fix this?The NuGet is a dll that was built with 4.0.0.0. The easiest thing to fix problem is target you VS project to use Net 4.0. You could get a new version of NuGet, but if you do make sure you rebuild your entire project. The dependencies in
the VS compiler doesn't always recognize updated libraries. So I normally rename the bin folder in the project and then delete the bin folder. VS will create a new bin folder and then rebuild all the source files. If your project contains
multiple projects then remember to delete the bin from all projects.

Why "slow server alert" when NO running requests and NO open connections??
The snapshot below says it all. Why on earth would my dev machine with no running requests, and no open database connections, kick off a slow server alert?
I will tell you that at the exact same time this snapshot was generated, my other two servers WERE hung and were reporting "Unresponsive alerts", and they connect to the same databases. I am chasing down a chronic communication failure between our database and web servers where everything with a databae connection gets locked/hung at the same time every night, 7 days a week. The hang lasts anywhere from a few mins to 40+ mins.
Is this why my dev server would report slow? And if so, is it the skimmers or what that's causing a slow server alert?? Would it only report "Unresponsive" if there were actual page requests hanging, vs. a "Slow Server Alert"?
This is CF10 (update 12) 64-bit on Windows 2008 R2, IIS 7, connecting to separate Oracle 11g server.

For global alerts, yes:
There is no need to do anything before the alert appears, and the MBA will not lose data should it go to sleep. If it goes to sleep at 0% you still have several hours to plug it in before it shuts down.
I wouldn't even bother displaying the percentage value. -
Recommendation for a new feature - alert when an important email arrives
Why can't I set my iPhone to give me an alert when an important email arrives? This new feature would alert me when I get an email from a predetermined sender or subject line. AOL offers this feature. Why can't my iPhone do it too? The phone would need to read the sender address and subject line of each email, and then bounce it against a list of pre-configured alerts that the user programs.
This would also cut down on data consumption, since users would not have to check and recheck their mail when waiting for somethign important. With an alert, you just set it and forget it.iOS 6, coming this fall, will include a new feature that allows you to designate a VIP list for just this purpose. isn't there any global setup which would help to achive this?Are you talking about Windows close X. If yes, then to my knowledge there is nothing in OA Framework to handle it. You can check if it can be handled using javascripts.

How to clear alert when a null value is returned for a metric column?

Recently, I've encountered a problem about clearing alert when a null value is returned for a metric column. From Oracle official doc, it seems that NO_CLEAR_ON_NULL could be used for this propose. However, it doesn't.
Here is the line from doc, you can see when NO_CLEAR_ON_NULL is set as FALSE, the null value will clear alert, and the default value for NO_CLEAR_ON_NULL is FALSE.
NO_CLEAR_ON_NULL: This attribute is used to control severity clearing when a null value is returned for a metric column. It defaults to FALSE with the behavior that a null value ends up clearing previous alert severities. With a TRUE value for this attribute, null values will be skipped in severity evaluations without clearing the severity.

STATELESS_ALERTS: This attribute if set to TRUE indicates to EM that alerts on this
column will not have corresponding clears. This allows the UI to decide whether to
allow users to manually clear alerts on this column.

There is no variable command in PL/SQL. PL/SQL does support the boolean data type.
There is a variable command in SQL*Plus. It allows one to define bind variables. It is limited in the data types it supports. It does not support boolean as a bind variable type.
SQL*Plus is a CLI (Command Line Interface) client tool. It has a very limited vocabularly, allowing you to (primarily):
a) configure its local environment (e.g. size of the terminal ito number of characters per lines)
b) configure its bevahiour (e.g. spooling data to a file)
c) defining substitution and bind variables
And that's it. It is not PL/SQL. It is not SQL. It takes the PL/SQL and SQL you enter, and submit that to the Oracle server. (it does some basic parsing of the data to substitute variables and bind variables where applicable)
Do not confuse this CLI client tool with the server side PL/SQL or SQL languages. -

Bhavesh PatelUse follow up action for the task - if no workflow is activated. Like UD follow up actions, you can trigger a follow up action for the quality notification tasks.
In spro - go to additional notification funtions - define follow up action for tasks - here define a follow up action and mark is as task for the notification.
Copy the reference FM in function group QM10 - ( create a Z function gropu copying the same - QM10) and work with your developer to develop the FM to send an email to the person assigned to the task. Assign the same FM to defined follow up actions.
Assign the follow up action to the task - in QS41.

}The problem i have is when i try to invoke the function sendEmail() from my UI it is throwing a series of applet alerts (some 10 of them) . The following are the alerts that i get
1. The applet is attempting to invoke the java/lang/System.getProperty() operation on java.home
2. The applet is attempting to perform a read operation on the file C:\Program Files\java\jre1.5.0_14\javamail.providers
3. The applet is attempting to perform a read operation on the file C:\Program Files\java\jre1.5.0_14\javamail.address.map etc....
For ever applet alert i had to click on 'allow' for it to proceed. But there is no problem in sending mail after that. One more interesting this is i DONT get this alert when i try to execute this java class directly instead of calling the method from another class or from UI.
Can someone please let me know the reason for this applet alert and the way to suppress it?

Please help me understand this.. Im not explicitly using applet anywhere .I guess it should be used internally by one or many of the API classes i have used . In this scenario how can self sign the applet and which one?
I have included some jars like activation.jar,mail-1.4.2.jar,velocity-1.6.2.jar in my webapp lib . Is there a means to sign these jars and use? Is this what you are suggesting me to do?
One more doubt i have is how come the same method runs without any problem when executed as a standalone java class (with main() method)
