Alerts emails - without an user ID in the XI system?

Hi,
The regular way to add a subscriber to an alert email is to add the user id in the fixed recipients and maintain the email id in SU01..
I have a scenario where emails have to sent to people who do not have a user ID in XI (The XI box has only a select list of ppl with access)... How can this be achieved??

Create a Distribution List...assign the users to this DL....then for this DL create a user-id in XI/ PI.....then inlcude this user as recipient in ALRTCATDEF.

If you use eithernet for your main connection then just plug the TC bridged into the network.
If you use wireless for your internet connection then you can use the TC isolated from the network by ethernet.. but this is really only convenient on a desktop Mac.

It is a bit tricky so if you have questions ask back here.
Just to say a USB for firewire external drive is faster and more reliable than a TC.. cheaper to buy as well.. although since you already have the TC that is not a concern.. but you can ebay the TC and buy a bigger and better external drive with the proceeds.

They are still attachments, even though you see the embedded version (which can be turned off by rightclicking the embedded attachment and choosing 'View as Icon')

Problem with Role and User Distribution to the SAP System

Hi to all.
I've a problem when i try to transfer roles from portal to SAP CRM. (System Administration --> Permissions --> SAP Authorizations).
If I select from the drop down list the SAP Alias corresponding to the connector to the target system an error is displayed:
class com.sapportals.connector.connection.ConnectionFailedExceptionConnection Failed: Nested Exception. Failed to get connection. Please contact your admin.
I think the problem is in the connector configuration since the connector test fails too (due to User attribution problems I think)

Create user both in the satellite system and in solman

I wonder if I need to open all my user's that are in the satellite system (ECC) in the solution manager for the purpose of create support message or I can only create them as BP?
If I don't need to open them, What is the proper way to configure the RFC?

Hi,
in a normal service desk scenario you do not neet to create users in Sol Man. You just create business partners. If you want the users to logon to Sol Man and edit a document then they also need a real user there (linked via BP - employee):
For creating messages from satellite system you usually maintain RFC destinations from Sol Man (SMSY) to the connected systems. Then you use the generated *_BACK destination in your satellite system and add it to table BCOS_CUST.
All these steps and many more are described in IMG in Solution Manager.

Check out transparent table : USR41 (User master: Additional data) This may be the table you want to use.
Or
You can use SUBMIT command with the above stated report (RSM04000_ALV) - export the output( ALV data) to memory and then retrieve to use it as you want (as an internal table).
example :

        INCLUDE STRUCTURE abaplist.
DATA END OF itab_list
SUBMIT RSM04000_ALV
via selection-screen

Not able to do user Mapping with the backend System

Hello all,
I am trying to Map a user to a windows based KM System but getting an error like
"There is a configuration issue which leads to problems when accessing user mapping data for the selected backend system 'KM_Test_System'. Usually, the reason is user mapping being configured for strong encryption, but the necessary additional files being missing. Check the security log file for further information and hints on how to solve the problem."
Can somebody tell me what could be the possible reason for this and how to handle this. I dont have access to the Portal server right now , so not able to see the security log.

Email notifications for UWL items from the GP System

Hi,
How can I activate the notifications for tasks created in UWL, but by connector type?
I know that the notifications can be activated in System Administration » System Configuration » UWL » Workflow » Engine | Mail, the problem is this will be applied to all notifications from all connectors, and I only want to apply to connector of Guided Procedures, and not to tasks to connector of ECC system.

I'm not aware of any setting to prevent the Apple's receipt to be sent.
If you bought a mix of purchase item and free item, the will appears on the same receipt. Instead of considering them as spam, you can consider them as "a way to recall which apps you dowloaded in case something wrong happen".
Personally, I have created a folder called "receipts" and simply send these mails to this folder.

AC 5.3 Critical Action Alert Emails not being sent

We have set up Critical Action alerts for a couple of transactions and while the on-line alert logs are being generated correctly, the alert email is not being sent to the Risk Owner.
Does anyone know where I can trouble shoot this issue?

NFS write access without local user

Hi,
I try to get write access to NFS from one to another linux system without local user account and group.
System 1. /etc/exports -->set nfs share /backup
Folder /backup all files owned by oracle:oinstall
oracle(104):oinstall(106) 664
System 2. user: root(1):root(1)
#>mount -t nfs .....
All files are owned by userid 104 and groupid 106
I can get write access If I change userid and group id on system 2 to 104/106 but I think that could be smart way.
Does anyone know the right was to get write access without have a same local user(id) and group(id)

You can try the following in your /etc/exports file:
/backup *(rw,insecure,all_squash,anonuid=104,anongid=106)
Then reload the exports file using the command "service nfs reload"The above will allow rw access to the /backup directory and map all requests to the nobody account and remap the nobody account uid and guid to 104 and 106 of the nfs server system. The insecure option is required by some PCNFS clients. For more detailed information please check the exports man page.

Email to specific users

I'd like to send an email to a specific group of users base on events. I know about the NotificationAgent sample program and how it sends email to document owner and modifier. So, I'd like to extend this to be able to send email to specific users based on the event. Do I need to extend DirectoryGroup or ExtendedUserProfile?....

no, you don't need to extend DirectoryUser or any other iFS ClassObject to accomplish this. you just need to write an agent that works in a similar way to the NotificationAgent. instead of sending an email to the document owner, you can send an email to any user you want. you just have to decide which user to send the email to, based on your business logic.

Propagating user identities to the IS and to receiver systems

According to "SAP Security Guide XI", XI generally uses anonymous technical users:
"The user authenticating itself for the Adapter Engine or the Integration Server is a technical user defined in the sender system."
and
"This implies that the identity of the user in the sender system is not generally propagated to the Integration Server."
Is there a way to overcome, this? For instance by signing the documents? Is it possible to implement this in a way that allows the receiving system to know the sender's id?

You would need to first create the form ( or Widget in EchoSign) first to generate a url which you can paste it in the email being sent to customers. You would need to make sure you have a Document Cloud Enterprise Premium account in order to create a Widget. If you don't have the account, you can use the trial version to test it. All experts:
    I want to send an email to multiple user, I use the FM:SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1,
this FM can to mutiple user's email address ,but it can not re-set the email sender.
another FM is: EFG_GEN_SEND_EMAIL, this FM can re-set the email sender and email receiver, but this only can send one email to one receiver.
My question is, can anyone tell me how to send email to mutiple user,
e.g.: sender: abc/at/abc.com
        receiver 1 cdg/at/abc.com
        receiver 2   dd/at/hotmail.com
I want to send this email to both them at a time. and i can dynamic set the email sender.
