Alerts for Marketing Attributes in CRM 2007

We are using CRM 2007 and we have marketing attributes maintained on the Sold-to party business partner. We want this marketing attribute to be displayed in the interaction center when the agent confirms the account.
How to configure Alerts (Intent Driven Interaction) for marketing attributes.

Hello Rupesh,
I have solved a similar problem raised by you ( i guess ) in one of the oss message. If you maintain the Xpath of the attribute that you have created for BP marketing attribute as /CURRENTCUSTOMER/BuilMktAttributeRel/VALUE it should work. Could you please tell me what settings you have made for displaying this?

I am sorry but I donu2019t understand the solution presents in the last questions on this issue.
I am using CRM 2007 and I have marketing attributes maintained on the Sold-to party business partner. I want this marketing attribute to be displayed in the interaction center when the agent confirms the account.
The alert for bringing standard First Name, Last Name & City works fine.
My Question is How and Where can i add the marketing attributes parameter so when I will create ALERT I can choose it from the list of attributes that appear in the Current costumer (beside First Name, Last Name & City)?

Hi Merav,
Create Marketing attributes using the transaction CRMD_PROF_CHAR
Maintain the Attribute set using the transaction CRMD_PROF_TEMPL
And assign the Set to a Business Partner
Define Business Data Context (BDC) Attributes for the field Group BUSINESS_PARTNER create an attribute with Xpath Xpression
//CURRENTCUSTOMER/BuilMktAttributeRel/VALUE
For Ex ZMKTATTRIBUTE
Now create an alert using this attribute ( you have to select this Business Partner list in the attibute list of the alert )
Then create a rule for ex if the current event is BP confirmed then trigger the alert
This should work!!!

Change History for Marketing Attributes

Is it possible through standard config to record changes against BP Marketing Attributes in CRM 2007 or 7.0?
I know it can be done with custom code but was hoping SAP had delivered this via config now.

Thank you so much for awarding points.
Please note that in Transaction PFCG you have to assign the appropriate three digit attribute set key under the authorization group BGKRL to the authorization object C_KLAH_BKL for assigning attribute sets and to the authorization object C_KLAH_BKP for editing attribute sets.

Data upload for Marketing Attributes.

Hi experts,
We have a requirement to create Marketing Attributes for Business partners. In our current roll-in the number of records are expected to be about 1000000 records. (1 Million). For the pilot roll-in we had about 300000 records and we wrote a custom program and used the FM CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT_TAB to update the records. Now that the data quantity is almost tripled, is there any different approach to load this?
We are now going to upgrade to CRM 7.0.
In the prev version the standard IDOC that we use to load BP does not contain any segment structure for Marketing attributes. Hence we would like to know how to approach such a huge volume? If it is through IDOCS we felt we can go for parallel processing, but I have not done it before. so my questions are:
1.Is there a standard IDOC in 7.0 version to load Marketing Attributes?
2.If yes, does parallel processing improve the performance of the data load?
3.If there is no standard IDOC then what will be the best approach for this data volume?
4.Should we still continue to use CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT_TAB?

Initial Load for marketing Attributes & Attribute sets in Cloud for customer 1405 version

Hi All,
I am working on Cloud for Customer Implementation with integration using Netweaver PI. SAP has just upgraded the CfC to 1405 version. In the latest integration guide & scenarios, there is provision to integrate marketing attributes & attribute sets as well.
I am following the latest integration guide (1405 version) but could not find any provision or template report for initial load of marketing attributes. Can anyone please assist in the initial load for marketing attributes?

as the marketing attributes ar now supported in release 1502 i would like to ask you if there is now a way to perform an initila load for matketing attributes (Attribute Set, Attributes and Attribute assignemnt). This would be very helpful for all integration projects including marketing attributes.

No parameter tab for marketing attribute form in IC Web Script

When I am creating a survey as part of a script, there is a tab "parameters" where I define, which survey to use.
I do not find parameter tab for marketing attributes in script construcion screen (SE80 - CRM_IC_ISE).
So how do I define which attribute to use?

The Marketing Attributes are there in the answers.
In the repository try using
Answers >> Dynamic Answers >> Default >> Marketing Attribute
When you use this in the script (Question), you will see one of the Tabs below called 'Dynamic Content Parameters', here you can specify the details.

Hi Camilla,
Another option to reading tables : you can use function module CRM_MKTBP_READ_BP_LIST giving the BP guid in table IT_BP_LIST. This will give you the attribute set along with the attributes and their values assigned to the BP.
Example call:

In 5.2 we have new UI and old UI is no longer used. In the new UI it is not possible to create the marketing attributes independently. It is only possible while creating the attribute sets. After creating the attribute sets you need to add the attribute there itself and indicate the possible values. For that you need to maintain role as MARKETINGPRO and then go to marketing tab. Then you may create the attribute set and create the attribute.

Invalid format for Marketing Attributes

Hi colleagues,
I have marketing attributes of type NUM 5,2 which are causing erros of type Invalid Format.
I would like to know where do I change this configuration (path in SPRO/Cutomizing Implementation Guide) in CRM.
And If someone knows what type generally is used... it seems strange that standard validation is not accepting this...

Can you please let me know what is this 5,2? Is this a value for the attribute?
In the Attributes table, you can only mention the decimal place and in the value table you have to maintain the exact number of decimal places as you mentioned in the attributes.
e.g.
if you create an attribute say "Frequency of Purchases", Format - Numeric Format, Decimal Places - 2, In that case, you have to maintain a values like 35,02 or 34,00 or 37,59 etc.
If you want to change the decimal separator say "," to ".", you can do it in CRM system, as follows
-login to CRM system using sapgui command
-login with your credentials
-go to system->user profile-> own data or you can directly use the transaction SU3
-go to tab "Default" -> change the field "Decimal Notation" as per your liking.
For this you must have an authorization to change your data or ask your administrator to change the same.

So, is there any way I can sccess those values in a structure. Actually I need to return those values to UI. Please also let me know is there any standard FM exists for this purpose.

I agree what you said but if we clear the context element it giving a dump as the program is refering to the NULL reference.As I said earlier my table has no data but still I am applying Filter and then clearing the Filter node value.
It is working correct when my table is not initial.

Obtain list of fields for marketing attributes against BP

Hi All,
I'm working on a data extraction routine for BP data and need to be able to allow the user to select which fields will be extracted and added to the output file. I've got some standard code that so far uses a data dictionary structure to create a pop up of fields with checkboxes so the user can select which fields to output - it uses FM DDIF_FIELDINFO_GET to simply list all fields for a given structure.
My requirement is to extend this so that all possible marketing attributes against business partners are also available for selection in the field list. I guess to do this I need to find a way of reading all fields defined for any BP type attribute sets.
Does anyone know of any FM's that do this or have any ideas around tables I can read?
Note: I'm after the atttribute names not the actual values.

I think the function modules in group CRM_MKTPFTPL_OW are really valuable.
Maybe you could call CRM_MKTPFTPL_GETLIST and then call CRM_MKTPFTPL_READ_CHR for each one.
They aren't called by Pratik's FM's though .

Survey Response for Marketing Attributes

Hello,
I have an e-mail that is sent out as part of a campaign. This e-mail includes a hyperlink to a website that displays the contacts Marketing attributes preferences.
This survey correctly pulls out each contacts currnt preferences for their marketing attributes.
When extra attributes are chosen on the survey and that survey is saved, the marketing attributes are not updated on the business partner record.
Is there anything extra that needs implementing to update a contacts marketing attributes when they respond by submitting the survey?
