Alerts for text, email, voicemail etc... have disappeared

Didn't do anything out of the ordinary but I no longer get alerts for sms or mms, email and pretty much everything that utilizes alerts. I have checked and double checked the option settings for each and all appear to be normal. Normal being they are set up like they would be to work. Thanks in advance for any help. Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Can you get reoccurring alerts for text, email an voicemail received? I am too dumb for my smartphone.......I have looked on the forums and cannot find an answer.
I just got my Droid Razr Maxx HD 2 weeks ago and so far I can only find that the "little" green LED light flashes when have a text, email, or voicemail. That light is pathetic..really I can barely see it?
Is there a way to make an audible alert the reoccurrs?

Aliases are merely another address within the same account, you won't see additional groups of settings for them. You should however see them as an option in the pull down "From" menu when you create an email.

Hi rracker,
If you are having issues with the buttons in Mail, you may want to force Mail to close, then relaunch. If that does not resolve the issue, you may need to restart/reset your iPhone. You may find the following articles helpful:

Hi,
I am new to Dashboards. i want to give alerts for Text . i can't find it .can you please help me out.
what exactly ,i am looking i have created a dashboard with details " Job name " and " Job status" . so job status is completed or not completed.
i have to show green color when it is showing completed and red color for not completed. how to give alerts for this Text. i found alerts is only for numbers .

Hi Jason,
As you said there is no alert available for Text, but you can write a logic in excel to achieve this.
Take the color code and write a logic of if(workcompleted,then = #00FF00(Green), or #FF0000(red)) then map them into the text color from the excel. For better understanding i have create a sample file on this, change the .txt extension to .xlf and preview it.

Long and short of it, the settings can be individually changed under Notifications. Select Mail and then the account you want to change the sound to.

Wow, just posting and it seems that there is a solution that is working for me...
What I've did is I turned off iTunes Match on my iPhone, then turned in on again. Now in my iTunes library on my mac I can get the duplicates to be matched or uploaded to iCloud with a right-click, add to iCloud. iTunes Match starts to check the songs and everything is done correctly. Pretty nice!

Love the new Mail app but how about an audible alert for new emails. Not sure why that isn't included.

Different mail alerts for each email account

Just got the new Verizon iPhone. Used BlackBerry for years. One feature of the BB that I think is missing from the iPhone is the ability to set different mail alerts for each email account. For instance, I would like to turn off alerts for my corporate Exchange account (for which I get 100 emails a day), but receive alerts for my Comcast and Gmail accounts.
Am I correct that there is only one on or off feature for the iPhone for all accounts?

The screen lights up but there is no sound alert or banner it may or may not be followed by a sound alert and / or banner or the sound alert may come twice even after the text/ email/ app notification has been checked. Or the banner notifications are being pushed through hours after I have checked the emails. I have checked the notification setting and all is in order and software is up to date as well. Called apple support but they want to charge me even to comment on what the problem could be related to! Pl help!

Buying a bundle doesn't mean that your device will work aborad you need to make sure roaming is enabled on your account.
If you have a EE extra plan you still need to make sure roaming is enable on your account your plan only gives you free/cheaper calls when abroad.
If your wanting to enable roaming on your account there could be a deposit to pay if you haven't had the device for about 6 months.
Unless you have paid the deposit then roaming is not enabled on your account.
You need to activate roaming on your account by calling 150 from your device or from a landline 01707 315000 before you leave the UK.
But you can still do this if you are abroad.
If you have had the device/contract for 6 months or over you can login to your online account and turn on roaming yourself
Manage this device>Usage controls>Roaming abroad - Allow and Call abroad and turn it on. If the option is not there you need to call

N95 Audible alert for Texts / Voicemail Recieved

Hi All,
Sorry if its already been asked but.....Is it possible for me to get my N95 to give me an audible alert ( preferably repeating ) for a text message being recieved and also for a voicemail being recieved ?.
From my searching I am thinking this is not possible.....please prove me wrong.
I am not at all techie so please if there is a way to do this some very basic / clear instructions on how to please.

Audible alerts are available for text messages, and are available in the profiles:
Menu - Tools - Profiles - Select a profile - Options - Personalise - Message Alert Tone
Voicemail notifications are network dependant - I believe Orange flash an icon on the screen, where o2 sends a text and/or call from the voicemail service...
There should be options for that when you dial the voicemail though
