Aliased Copy of iTunes Loses Downloaded Games
Since iTunes 6 I've kept my iTunes library under the shared folder in /users in order to have one library and share it between myself and my wife. In each of our respective /music folders I placed aliases to the shared folder.
After updating to iTunes 7 my login's iTunes seemed to function just fine. However, my wife's seemed to be missing it's alias to the iTunes library. At this point I also noticed that my /music/iTunes folder now had a folder for games and a games library and an album artwork library. I placed these in the shared folder and created new aliases for them in their place and also new aliases in the /music/iTunes folder in my wife's account.
Her iTunes now seems to function OK, except the Pacman game I purchased doesn't show up in the library. Other songs I've downloaded do - just not the game. If I go back to my own account the games show up just fine. What gives? (And yes, I changed permissions to global read/write after moving the files.)
Same thing here. I downloaded iTune 10 (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/) from the support section of the apple website (http://www.apple.com/support/), installed it and it worked!

Note, however, that iTunes has never been supported on the 64-bit version of Windows XP, so you're on your own to attempt to get it working.

I own a iPod touch and I have an iTunes account but all i can download is podcasts no games or music.when I try to download games it says "request cannot be completed " could there be a problem with it ?
Please helpHonestly, these are WAGs but they're all that I can think of.
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again. -
Someone I entrusted my computer to for repairs decided to keep it. all my personal information was on the computer. the peron has been using my credit card information o make ourchases from the apple store. If I do not have a credit card on the account on my iphone, I am unable to updatw it or my ipad. After persuading the apple store people to delete the last credit card info, I had to put aother credit card on the iphone to be able to update the software and thevapps. now that card is being used by the person o download war games on the new card. I cannot find any of his downloaded games on any of my devices. I am close to giving up my iphone and ipad. the last time i called the apple store, theynwould not give me the IP address of the omputer the games were downloaded to. they only gave me the name of my ipad. anyone could name thir ipad according to the name on mynipad. I have found the Apple store less than friendly about security matters like this. What can I do to maintain my acount and not continue to be ripped off by the thieving interloper? if i change my user name nd password, i will forever lose legitimate purchases. Please advise me.

Is the credit card registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

Downloaded games from itunes for ipod touch cant get them to upload to my ipod why???
Hi just downloaded games for my ipod touch from itunes.
And when i click apply the apps wont transfer across to the ipod even after it has synced with pc.
Can anyone help PLEASE?????- Do yo have Restrictions set that would prevent syncing them to the iPod? Settings>General>Restrictions

Howeever it says the same thing when i try to download from the app store. How do I get this reinstalled??First uninstall your copy of Itunes--http://www.tekrevue.com/tip/uninstall-itunes/ (make sure you empty crash) Then you go to the applications website and reinstall it. Dont worry about losing any of your music because thats in a separate folder. Thats it---it works.

After you pay for the order, you can change your payment information to None.

When you create a new store account or sign in with an existing Apple ID (that you haven't used in the store), you must provide a payment method. If you want to remove the payment method after you create the account, you can change your payment information to None.
