Hello Friends,
Is there any link documents to pointing to all the available aliases in the SMP ?
Say for example like service.sap.com/patches, /sp-stacks, /instguides ,
I am looking for EHP , Upgrades and aliases specific to Oracle DB.
It will be great to see all the aliases.

try deleting dock's preference file.
Trash the file com.apple.dock.plist from homedirectory/Library/Preferences
and restart Dock. To restart Dock enter the following command in terminal
*killall Dock*

How can I create a new iCloud account for a familiy member having a new iDevice and reuse one of my aliases for it

Hi there,
I moved into iCloud from the very beginning and started with one iCloud account for me and my family, making use of email aliases for family members. Now the number of personal iDevices grows and I want to create a new and separate iCloud Account for my son. The pity is, that I reserved his full name already as alias address on my initial iCloud account. If I now delete this alias, can I create a new account with the former alias as new primary email address?
Or is there at least any transfer procedure supported for aliases between different accounts?

Couldn't agree more... the folks who are getting penalized for this are the early adopters of .Mac/iCloud dating from the days when the only way to implement a "family" account was to use aliases. Now all my kids' / my wife's name aliases sit in my account, unable to move. I guess the good news is that if I delete them nobody else will get them, but this seems a pretty poor consolation.
Would it really be so difficult to implement a "move this alias to another iCloud account" option that requires the "sender" and "receiver" to exchange some sort of code to implement the transation in order to prevent fraud?

Have THREE iPhoto Libraries...How can I combine them? Plus most ALIASES!

I have read some of the forum topics that I hope can help me. I have iPhoto 2 and when I messed up my iBook OS 10.2.8, I lost the iPhoto ( about 2K pictures :-()
Now i have the 'puter back but still missing the iPhoto. I have found Three(3) iPhoto Libraries with "Find"...all are just labeled "iPhoto Library".NONE have numbers after the iPhoto Library...each has a different amount of "items" listed as being in the folder. 156 items, 126 items, and 30 items . ALL have photos NOT in the other Library folders.
All three have different pathways:
156 items:(user name)/Desktop 2/iPhoto folder-12/07**/iPhoto Library;
127 items:(user name)/Desttop 2/iPoto folder1/26/08**all alias/ iPhoto Library;
30 items: (user name)/Pictures 2/iPhoto 2/iPhoto Library.
My question is:
1. Is there a simple way to combine these so I have ONE iPhoto Library with ALL the photos in it???
2. Most, not all, of the photos are "Aliases" but I can see the photos in "Preview"..but can't move them into an iPhoto blank folder.
I gather I need to solve the "Alias" problem FIRST? right?I need to match the "Aliases" with their originals...
Then hopefully move photos into the largest iPhoto Library with the 156 items in it. Is there a simple way to do this???

OK...so I now have the MAJOR iPhoto Lib. I thought I'd lost (thanks to all your help steerin' me in the right direction).:-)
I want to get the photos FROM the other two smaller Libraries and switch them to the BIG Lib. I now have....Is there a KB that will tell me how to do that...without having to move the BIG Library I have retrieved???
Like, can I move the smaller Lib.s to the desktop and take out the photos by dragging them into the BIG iPhoto Lib.?...as there are many duplicates in the two smaller Lib.s that I don't need to add to the BIG iPhoto Library.

I DO NOT want to switch between lib.s, I want to MOVE photos FROM the smaller lib.s to the BIG iPhoto Library, so I will have only ONE iPhoto Lib. to deal with.Consolidation NOT switching....

How can I send from multiple email aliases & names?

Hi, I wish to achieve the same result as the OP at http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=112689 and by following the useful guides in that thread, am able to achieve what I want... sort of.
Basically, I have one POP account/mailbox, and only one.
However, I use 3 email aliases for different work purposes, e.g.:
Fred Blogs <[email protected]>
Dr F Blogs <[email protected]>
The Surgery <[email protected]>
Now, according to the advice, in Mail I can create one Mailbox, and under 'email address' in Mailbox Preferences, enter:
[email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
This works fine as far as it goes, and I get a drop down when creating new mail, however, all 3 'aliases' come from the same person's 'Name' - the 1 name I entered in the mailbox preferences in Mail.
No, what I need to achieve is to be able to send email from the 3 different names as well as email addresses, not just 3 different email addresses all with the same name.
This was a doddle under Outlook, you just create 3 accounts with the same SMTP server, but set 2 of them not to receive email (otherwise you'd end up with 3 lots of each incoming email from that 1 shared mailbox).
Mail however is not having any of it, and won't let me create duplicate accounts. I have even tried adding the full name in the email address field of settings, separated by commas: Fred Blogs <[email protected]>, Dr F Blogs <[email protected]>, The Surgery <[email protected]>. That didn't work either.
How can I achieve what used to be quite a simple process on my PC? I can't be the only person who uses one unified mailbox account, but sends from different aliases?

Thanks, but the issue occurs when I am trying to set up the 2nd account and get to the Incoming Mail Server Page.
Because I am using the same Incoming Mail Server and User Name as the 1st account, when I click Continue it reports:
/!\ The account "Account 1" already has this hostname and username.
It then won't let me continue. Now it sounds like you have the same setup, so do you have the same hostname and username in all your multiple accounts? :-S
The reason it does this is - I suspect - because even if you untick 'Include when automatically checking for new mail', when you manually check for new mail, you'd still get 3 lots of the same message. How do you get around this?

Error while deploying an Agentry application on SMP 2.3 Server

Hello Experts,
I am trying to deploy a customized SAPWM application on the SMP 2.3 server.
I am referring to the tutorial maintained at the following URL :http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-43353
I have zipped the contents of the application folder (under Serverdev) and added the required DLLs and JAR files.
While deploying using SCC (Control center), I get an error which says "Application registration failed".
Under logs, I could find the following entry:

I also checked up another thread (Setup Work Manager on SMP2.3) on the same post, but the thread owner was able to resolve the issue after he stopped the server instance and deployed again. However, it didn't work for us.
Questions:
1) How can I export the application in ".agp" package?
2) How can we resolve the deployment error? The Agentry.ini contained within the package does have system connections section with HTTPXML, JavaBE and SQL DLL files.
Appreciate your help on the same.

thanks for your reply there.. We did get the app name as follows when we tried to deploy the application in SMP 2.3 "Even though it errored out saying - Unable to register the application"
D:\SAP\MobilePlatform\Servers\UnwiredServer\Repository\Agentry\default\com.sap.agentry.sapwm53
However we manually unzipped the agentry app into this folder as per instructions from agentry app deployment on SMP 3.0
What do you mean by "After your appname you should not have any other folder" - clearly if that is the case then we have "Development" folder and some additional folders beneath this.
Could you please suggest?

Not able to find aliased tables when supplying username/password

I am able to run my report which contains several aliased tables just fine as long as I have the application (Viewer?) ask for the login credentials for the database. But it seems if I try to set the login credentials in the Viewer jsp, I then receive the following error message which states that it cannot find the table, stating that it is looking for a table with the alias name... not the actual name.'PositionEducation' is the alias for a table named 'large_text', this table is aliased several times in the report so it can pull the different types of data it needs.Thanks, Steve*** Update -- I did an update to the latest files and it pulled some newer jars from Crystal even though I had just installed this a few days ago :)... anyway, it now works where the application (Viewer?) does not ask me for credentials (I assume they are embedded within the rpt) and it goes on through like it did before.  From the stack trace, the problem appears to be happening in the setTableLocation method call.There's a known issue with the JRC when you try and transfer datasource location for multiple aliases pointing to the same database table. You may, however, need not trigger the setTableLocation method call, if you wish merely to enter database logon credentials.The way to enter it would be to use ReportClientDocument method getDatabaseController().logon(String, String). This should get you the same behavior as with the viewer.TUeda

Unable to protect SQL Server after adding SQL Aliases

DPM 2012 R2 had been successfully backing up a Server 2012 R2 virtual machine running SQL Server 2012 SP2 with 3 databases. It had been working properly for several months, the Virtual Machine is running on a Hyper-V Cluster.
Approximately a week ago we configured aliases for the various SQL databases to provide better resiliency in case of server failure. IE, instead of connecting to SQL as ServerName\DatabaseA, you could connect to just DatabaseADNS. Doing so we
had to add extra IP addresses to the server's adapter. Initially all the addresses were registering in DNS and Named Pipes was disabled in SQL Configuration Manager for the Databases so it led to some connection difficulties when trying to connect to
the named instances (ServerName\DatabaseA). We resolved this so that while the server's adapter has multiple IP address there is only one DNS entry for the ServerName and one entry for each Database in DNS. Named pipes is enabled so SQL Manager
can connect properly.
Since Aliases were applied however DPM began failing on 2 of the 3 Databases. It was unable to create recovery points.
The connection to the DPM agent on the SQL Server is OK, but if you try to modify a protection group and browse to the SQL Server when you expand it it just displays an hourglass and will not error out or display ANY sources to backup. Even after several
hours.
We stopped protection of all items on the SQL Server, uninstalled the DPM agent, restarted, re-installed the DPM agent, restarted. Restarted DPM Server, and are still unable to protect ANY items of the SQL Server.
There are no errors in the event logs on either server I could find. And I've watched the DPMRA service start on the SQL Server when the DPM Server attempts to query it, so there is some communication. Any help would be appreciated as I am at
a loss.

After much testing and troubleshooting a solution was found. Our configuration is apparently a perfect storm of settings that cause DPM issues. Our SQL Server has multiple NICs (if one is disabled it begins working) Our SQL Server's multiple
instance are all using the default port 1433 (if ports are set differently it works), and we are using TCP aliases for more than one instance (if only one, it works)
Each instance in SQL Config manager is assigned a unique IP address, so our production NIC has multiple IPs, set this nic to NOT register in DNS. Manually create a Static DNS entry for the server and each alias IP address.
In SQL Config manager set a Named Pipe alias for each instance. Be sure to do both 32 and 64 bit aliasing.
On the SQL Server run cliconfg.exe and enable both TCP/IP and Named Pipe protocols.
And DPM can now enumerate and backup the server again.

Email aliases gone after moving to iCloud

Apple told me we'd be able to keep out email aliases after moving from MobileMe to iCloud - now only my main email address appears. Is there any way to use the aliases?

My store procedure access a remote tables using dblink, synonyms, alias, but by business company requirenments I nedd to use another data base access method. My PL/SQL statement looks like

Are any method else to connect to several remote databases concurrently?

If you want to access a table in a remote database using SQL, you will need a database link. It would be exceptionally odd for the business to require that you access a remote database and to prohibit the use of database links. What is the business reason for that combination?
If you want to look into rather more esoteric solutions, you could load a JDBC driver for the remote database, write a Java stored procedure that queries the remote table using that JDBC driver, and then cobble together some PL/SQL that joins the two result sets. You won't be able to reference the remote table in SQL and the solution won't scale well as data volumes increase and you'll be writing a whole lot of code to manually join tables together, but it does avoid database links. Of course, whatever concerns lead to the ban on database links would probably apply to loading a JDBC driver into the database and writing Java stored procedures to access the remote database, but since you haven't explained the reasoning behind the restrictions, we're just guessing.

Cannot see Business Objects Repository in SAP production server from Worskpace - SMP 2.3

Hi all,
I have problems with reading RFC from production server, because BOR isn't visible at all in Mobile Workspace. Maybe I do something wrong so let me explain what am trying to accomplish. I need to make applications work on production server. Until now they worked and were tested on development server. Applications are native Android with MBO (SMP 2.3.3). So my guess is that I need to transport RFC functions from development to production, which I did, then to make new connection to production server in workspace and generate MBOs and code from them that will finally replace the old MBO code in Android application. If that is the procedure, then the only problem is that I can't see those RFC in production. My user have sap all privileges and in them S_RFC authorization object so I guess authorization isn't the problem. I also tried to switch the language in workspace connection because last time (on development) that was the problem. Any idea somebody?

Well there is only one mobile server. I don't know exactly how they (client) think it will work but when I say production server I refer to SAP EIS production server.

Application Aliases & SSO

Question 1:
In version 2.0, will the issue with duplicate Application Aliases over multiple workspaces (on the same server) be addressed or is there reasoning why there is no validation to prohibit duplication of application aliases?
Question 2:
Single Sign On (HTML DB as partner app) authentication.
We have two applications in two different workspaces on the same server. Both have the same exact SSO authentication scheme, but when you try to move from one application to another(while logged into one), you are required to sign on through SSO (again).
This is not true if both the applications reside in the same workspace (So in other words, once logged into one application, you are not required to login to the next SSO app).
What is the rhyme or reason to this? Does the cookie actually store the workspace and does that drive whether or not you are logged into SSO?

So should it be best practice to reference the &c parameter in all our URLs?Yes, when you are using an alias that might not be unique within the site. However, the use of application aliases is most useful for "launch" URLs and not for internal links from page to page within the applicaton where &APP_ID. works just fine, so there should be relatively few URLs that use application aliases.
SSOJust to clarify, your authentication schemes have explicit values for the cookie attributes? If so, I'd expect that the applications in the same workspace that use the same cookie attributes would behave seamlessly as one application such that after you had authenticated to SSO for one application, you would not have to re-authenticate for the other. Applications so coupled can share the same HTML DB session ID. Applications in different workspaces should behave as completely separate applications even if they use the same cookie name. This doesn't really work when you try to run them in the same browser session because there can only be one cookie with the same name/path/domain at a time. Based on your original problem description, I think you may have found a bug. If you would give more details, I'd like to pursue this.

How can I use icloud email aliases on windows 7

Is there any way I can use my icloud email aliases on a windows 7 machine other than icloud.com? I've tried outlook, but it won't allow me to send from my aliases and icloud.com is so slow it's maddening. I've searched online and haven't come up with anything so I'm doubtful that there is a solution but would be so happy if there was.

Photoshop CC Text Anti-aliasing problem.

Hey guys, not sure if anyone else has experienced this problem, but today I turned on my machine and starting layout out some type and noticed that it looked alot chunkier than before. I had my anti-aliasing set to Mac LCD, which is usually spot on, but this particular text field looked terrible. I opened an old document and sure enough, I was right, the same type of anti-aliasing looked vastly different, even when both of the typfaces were exactly the same. I've had others open the file on their machines and have gotten the same problem. Now every time I create a new text field, I get chunky, terrible looking anti-aliasing, no matter what font I'm using. The only way I can get good looking type is by copying and pasting from old files. I've included an example file of what I mean. On the left is Trade Gothic, and on the right is Trajan (just to show it's not any particular font). The top versions of the fonts look beautiful clean, and anti-aliased properly. The bottom versions look chunky and blurry. Any help would be much appreciated!

Same problem here.
This fixed it for me. Though, only temporarily:
1. Select all layers of your PSD file.
2. Select the type drop down > Anti-Aliasing > None
3. Save your file
4. Quit Photoshop
5. Re-open the file
6. Select all layers of your PSD again
7. Select the type drop down > Mac LCD (or desired aliasing)
8. Save the file
9. Continue working
This worked the last few times I tried but it is not a permanent solution.

Photoshop CS4 Brushes not Anti Aliasing properly

I've just set up CS4 and my brushes are not anti aliasing properly. There are no soft edges on any of them. I'm able to get a pressure sensitive opacity change on the stroke but the edges are all pixelated.
Here is an image (this is a soft brush. notice none of the feathering/anti aliasing is there):

I've updated the newest gpu drivers for my Nvidia 8800 GTS.
I'm running XP SP3 with dual monitors. An Apple 30" and a Cintiq 21"
I've tried placing the main photoshop window on both monitors (one at a time) to test if that was causing it and i've had no luck.
All of the options in my GPU Enabled are currently unchecked (since they were giving me lag issues on my brush stroke when they were checked).
Any help (even linking me to something similar in this forum) is greatly appreciated.

Definitely not file dependent. I'll open a photo in sRGB 8bit, or create a new document with any settings from cmyk/rgb/bw 8/16 etc.
I'm wondering if it has something to do with my Nvidia Display Property utility. I use it to gamma up my secondary monitor (cintiq). Although disabling that utility didn't resolve it..
I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling tonight if no one is having similar problems. Maybe that will fix it.

I need a little help in adding/binding a few thousand IPs to an interface --e.g. from the wiki: 'https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Co … P_aliasing' the process is to edit the rc.conf and add:
eth0="eth0 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"
eth0_0="eth0:0 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"
eth0_1000="eth0:0 192.168.X.X netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.X.255"
INTERFACES=(lo eth0 eth0_0 ... eth0_1000)
but this solution does not seem practical; in addition, if I create more than two aliases and do an 'ifconfig' only the first two show -- e.g.
1- stop /etc/rc.d/network
2- edit /etc/rc.conf
eth0="eth0 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"
eth0_0="eth0:0 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"
eth0_1="eth0:0 192.168.0.3 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"
eth0_2="eth0:0 192.168.0.4 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"
INTERFACES=(lo eth0 eth0_0 eth0_1 eth0_2)
3- start /etc/rc.d/network
4- ifconfig -a
only eth0 and eth0:0 display
would it be an option to add the 'ifconfig' cmd to the rc.local to bind the IPs after boot?

Something like this in rc.local (or your own init script in /etc/rc.d/) should get you going.... Assuming you're using contiguous addresses.
