Align in smartforms
hai frnds
i need to align the fields in the data area to the right side of the cell in the smartforms i had tried the ' field(R) ' options but it is not working. plz suggest any help its urgent.

This problem is because, you are printing the line in a separate window(window1). In this case it just prints the contents(LINE) of the window1, from the place where you declare the position of the window1.
eg: if the MAIN WINDOW is ending at position 10 and you have given the starting position for window2 as 5, it just prints the line at 5 regardless there are contents in MAIN WINDOW after that.
Instead, you declare 2 text elements in the MAIN WINDOW, first one for printing the main data(eg: Line items with a LOOP) and the second for printing the LINE. So by doing this, once the contents in the 1st text element is done, the line is printed from the position where contents end by the 2nd text element.

I am working in a smartform, where my requirement is i have to place the text both vertically and horizontally center aligned.
Now i have used to center aligned in my style. but the text is horizontally center aligned not vertically.

For vertical alignment of text, you can use a trick with the line spacing.
Use the space before and space after and adjust in such a wat that the text will appear as center alignled vertically.
say for eg: you set the space before = 2 mm and space after as 2 mm, so the space before the text and after the text would be 2 mm and thus the text will appear as center alligned vertically.
But you have to also take care of line spacing while adjusting the space before and space after.

Barcode Alignment in Smartforms

We are on ECC6. I am using SMARTFORMS and trying to align a barcode in the centre of a defined window. This is not happenning. How can I achieve this. I have tried using Paragraph formats etc but it only works for text..and not barcodes. I will appreciate your assistance.Thank you.Hi,
It's better to use a template with 3 equal columns. Put your bardcode in the center of the template i.e. no 2 columns.

The requirement is something like this...
Consider i have an internal table with a fixed text field length of 30 characters!
Line 1 of internal table: My name is Sundar - 17 chars
Line 2 of internal table: and my age is 26 - 16 chars
Line 3 of internal table: and my native is Madurai - 24 chars
Line 4 of internal table: and I live in Singapore - 23 chars
Now my requirement is, while generating the output using smart forms...
I get the output something like this...
My name is Sundar
and my age is 26
and my native is Madurai
and I live in Singapore
I want my output justified..
Something like...
My name is Sundar(30 chars)
and my age is 26(30 chars)
and my native is Madurai(30 chars)
and I live in Singapore(30 chars)
This looks justified and aligned!!!
I want the output of each line of internal table to use all the 30 defined characters and spread.. irrespective of how many characters are there in each line!!!
Hope am clear!!!!
Condense removes all the spaces!!!
But i want something like i illustrated above.. please help!!!

It is something like the "JUSTIFY" option in Microsoft Word!!!!
When u type a para... and you press on justify... you'll see the output screen aligned right?

Some text in my smartform is not aligned or one space below
Hello Experts,
I am currently modifying a smartform wherein some of the text is
one space below its correct alignment. For example:
Particulars Quantity Price

Enervon Prime 1,000
The 50 must be aligned with the particular and price. When I checked the
form, it doesnt have anyspace and the variable is inserted immediately. No spaces
or indentions whatsoever. Help would be greatly appreciated guys as this is very urgent.

I am getting some alignment problem in converting smartform printpreview into PDF format, i.e the format of PDF is different from printpreviw of smartform.

Smartforms - Center Alignment in the cell

I have defined a label in the following format using Smartforms...
All the variables are contained within a template, which is in a loop
I see that the texts which are right to the bar code are coming at the top right corner..

You can create the 2 windows ,. one for bar code and another for that text.
Overlapp those wondows so that the text window will come at the place where u want.
Try if this is working.

Smartform Alignment in ECC 6.0

Retain the alignment of print preview in download of smartform
Hi ABAPers,
I need to retain the alignment of the smartform print preview when I download the smartform as PDF.
The text alignment is ok but the issue is with character "-".
In print preview

There are many questions posted in Forum saying printout is coming correct in PDF but not in print.
The main reason for that is PDF accepts all kind of input its an universally accepted format Portable Device Format.
So see whether you system supports both the languages. Check with your basis team about it. Also try using other languages which your system supports so that you will get to know where your problem exists.

In this case you have to create a paragraph format as CENTER center-aligned and use this paragraph format for the center alignment of the text.

Please check with the basis that FONT that you are using are installed in both the printers.
This situation happens most when you have imported a new font into SAP system, as a printer is not configured for that Font output differs.

Smartform Alignment for the PDS(Personal Data Sheet) for Japanese Language
Hi,
I have a Probelm in the alignment in the smartform for the Personal data sheet report when logon in
Japanese language.
The texst are Overlapping.
For example:
I have 2 columns in the PDS such as Postion title and Job title.
The texts in the Postion title is Overlapping into the Jobtitle and So on.
And the issue is happening only when i log onto Japanese Language(JA) where as for other languages
the texts are not overlapping.
Could anybody help me in solving the issue.
Thanks.Japanese characters usually occupy duble byte space, that is a single japanese character will occupy the space of 'AB',
so what you can do is,
change the layout of the Screen (make the window larger),
you can split the text and write it in two lines (if your team agrees)
you will have to create a seperate Smartform for Japanese Language
you can try condensing the text &test(C)& for certain texts it might work

In your 'TEXT' element where you are writing the data skip 2-3 lines and then write your data so that it appears at the bottom of the template. For the time being you can do it.

I want to print data in a secondary window as follows.
Amendment number : 3 date: 3-03-2008
Number :4444444444 date: 3--3-2008
But the second date field is not aligning properly either it comes before the first date field or it comes after the first date field. i want both the date should start at the same coulmn.
please help me on this . pls be elaborative.

For tabs i give u an idea that tabs are used as a property of paragraphs for proper alingment of values or data in coloumns .
take tabs as the position from where u want to start printing data in coloumn
as for example
if ur first field is item no. than u have to alingned it as right alingment so it will start printing the value from right in coloumn so u decide that how many charcter is actullly it is taking so as for example it is of 10 character than give frst tab as on 10th in postion and type as CH while defining first coloumn , than suppose next field is description so u have to define it as left alingment so if first tabis at 10 and due to left alingment the positon of cursor is just after 10 becouse it is left alingned and previous one is right so start it from 12 as giving space of 1 or 2 character and do the same thing with using comman sence for other , but remember in this method of scripts u have to do one or more times trial and error so just do it once and practice it . this is very important.
just do one thing that if u r using tabs in paragraph format jsut chek that same para number u used for on ur editor while printing or not if it is ok than , in using tabs do right alingment for all value , quantity and no. fields in tabs while using tabs in editor u define tab after each field with two commas where u have to put tab or means from this field u have to strt ur next tab
