All Apple Software removal

I've been trying to delete all the APPLE SUPPORT SOFTWARE Bonjour,Support Mobile, etc.from the ADD AND REMOVE PROGRAMS and it's not working.
The message is " The feature i'm trying to use is on a NETWORK RESOURCE that is unavailable"  Enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi in the box below. Use SOURCE  C\DOCUME~1PATSIL~1\LOCALS~1Temp\1. How can i find & remove so that i can START AFRESH and download ITUNES Fully?

Well, After three attempts to install the newest version and having the same issues each time....
No access to store, AppleMobile Service takes up 99 percet of CPU usage, so nothing else starts, and finally not one song, video, or app imported,.....  I decided to give it a try with the previous version after a complete uninstall of all Apple software and the deletion of any iTune files which were left behind in other folders and doc/settings folders.
Back up and running with version 10.4.1.10
Had to select and import my iTunes Music and Video folders, then go to the iTunes store to re-download all purchased APPS but at least I have access and an operational program.
What a nightmare.  Maybe Apple should compensate us for the insane amount of frustration and man hours involved for what I would consider malicious software upgrade they have provided over the last three updates.

Experiencing trouble syncing with the 10.3 version of iTunes on my Windows Vista machine. Have uninstalled all Apple software twice, reinstalled and continue to get an error 7 message in connection with the Photo Processor. Any other ideas to try?

    Hi,
got it fixed! My Son had both files on his Win7 iTunes installation. Never mind he had no issues whith ths iTunes and iPhone Sync. So I checked my other Win XP PC, where I don't have this problem syncing my ipad, and surprise. Both files do NOT show up on this PC. So I renamed the iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe I found under c:\program file\iTunes and synced again my iPhone and it went through without any error. So the problem might be and unremoved iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe or the missing iTunesPhotoProcessor.dll under the iTunes install root folder and this even if I had checked that the folder was completely removed during iTunes unistall.
Please try yourselve and just rename the iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe to iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe_ under c:\program file\iTunes or get a copy of the missing iTunesPhotoProcessor.dll and cp to c:\program file\iTunes.

    Hello chathamcpa,
I found an article with steps you can take when you are getting Error 7 when opening iTunes.  I recommend following the steps in this article:

  • TS1567 If i uninstall AMDS, iTunes and all Apple softwares, will all the music i currently have in itunes delete.., or will it download itself back into the new itunes?

If i uninstall AMDS, iTunes and all Apple softwares, will all the music i currently have in iTunes delete.., or will it download itself back into the new iTunes?

Under normal circumstances, an uninstall/reinstall does not touch your content. That being said, it's still always a good idea to maintain a backup in case of disasters.

  • TS5179 I've been bitten by the "Missing MSVCR.dll file" problem when downloading the latest iTunes update (PC w/ Win-7 & Outlook-2007#. 'Have followed Apple's instructions of un-installing all Apple software, and re-installing it. #out of space...??)

I've been bitten by the "Missing MSVCR.dll file" problem when downloading the latest iTunes update, 11.4.62 (on a PC w/ Win-7 & Outlook-2007#. 'Have followed Apple's instructions of un-installing all Apple software, and re-installing it (Ugh).  First result Outlook couldn't find my 1,385 item contact file in iCloud, although the outlook distribution lists were there.  Second result, upon installing iCloud again, I have two iCloud contact files shown in outlook - "iCloud" & iCloud, within iCloud".  1,332 & 1,385 contacts respectively.
Plus an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere.  This is NOT fun at 72-yrs old...!!
So, how do I make sure I haven't lost anythying from Outlook?   Russ-AZ

Interesting response, Kappy  -  Back to original post: "First result: Outlook couldn't find my 1,385 item contact file in iCloud, although the outlook distribution lists were there (therefore, initially I had lost my contact file from Outlook).  Second result, upon installing iCloud again, I now have two iCloud contact files shown in Outlook - "iCloud" & iCloud, within iCloud".  W/ 1,332 & 1,385 contacts respectively.
Plus an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere.  This is NOT fun at 72-yrs old...!!
So, how do I make sure I haven't lost anythying from Outlook?   Russ-AZ"
You can safely assume that I have tried using it!   So, to make things a little clearer:
         1)  I now have two iCloud "contacts files", w/ a different total count. What's the difference?  Why the different toatl count?
         2)  Since re-installing the Apple software (part of the MSVCR" recovery instructions) "couldn't possible affected Outlook", why am I getting an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere.  What's in those files? And where are they?
Probably more important questions get down to:
         3)  Why is a basic Apple product upgrade "screwing-up Outlook"?  This iTunes upgrade, failing to install properly forced Outlook 2007 into a 2-min start-up cycle.  Which was fixed with this "Goat-Rpdeo" of re-installing MSVCR80.dll.
         4)  And under the latest release of iOS-7.0.4 on our iPhones, why is Apple now forcing us to use the iCloud to back-up our contacts, calendars & tasks, vs. allowing these files to be backed-up directly on our PC's via the USB cable?
Thanks again for your interest and comments.  - Russ-AZ

  • All Apple software is responding strangely - how do I fix this?

All apple software on my macbook has started to respond strangely. Logic Pro, Finder, Photobooth, Safari etc. They all keep freezing, or they stop responding, or they open but don't work properly. For example, safari keeps going blank (i.e. the search bars go blank, all bookmarks disappear). Photobooth just straight up didn't appear on screen until about the 5th relaunch. Logic keeps making everything go blank too, and garageband won't even open. How do I fix this problem?
Is it a virus, or do I have some kind of strange software issue?
I have software updated, and tried rebooting but still the problem persists.

  • Ten times deleting all apple software doesn't help getting itunes 11.1.4 to install properly

    Hi,
Following this thread for a day now and done (ten times) everything that was told, but unfortunately haven't been able to install iTunes. Still getting a error message when (re)starting windows 7. Should I wait until a solution comes or should I keep on trying deleteing-installing-deleting-installing?
Thanks for all your efforts, but it hasn't helped me so far.
    Kars

Same thing here.  I finally got wifi sync working again by downgrading to iTunes 11.x.2 .
The trick is to make sure you remove all components of apple first.
Apple software updater, App support, Mobile device support and bonjour.
    Then reinstall 11.x...2 .
    On another note:
Not to further antagonize the issue but I wish whoever makes itunes over there sees this and gives users a easier way to go back to iTunes 10.7 or fixes these wifi sync issues for good and brings back some of the nice features like coverflow from iTunes 10.

  • I don't want all Apple software

Hi, the other day I logged on and an Apple software update came up as it was supposed to. However, the update was for Safari, which I don't want. How do I tell the software to never ask me if I want Safari again?

Was that in the updates pane or the new software pane, bob?

  • As of a few days ago, I can no longer import photos from my Nikon Coolpix s7c into iPhoto. Never before had a problem. (it is the version prior to iPhoto 11--all Apple software is UTD)

As of a few days ago, I can no longer import photos from my Nikon Coolpix s7c into iPhoto '08. Never before had a problem.  I sent a request to Nikon for help and they referred me back to Apple.  Help, if possible, please.

As the photos imported to the test library you know that it works with your version of iPhoto (so, you can skip the paranoia about Apple making you upgrade). The issue then is the Library, so
Try these in order - from best option on down...
    1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
    2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

  • All apple software updates are corrupt

for some reason any updates I receive for my macbook pro through software update, itunes (for ipad, iphone), and even when I manually download them from the website (like 1.6.4 combo) are corrupt.
itunes + ipad with the new 3.2.2 update gives me error 14 with a link to this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275. Not helpful in this case.
As far as OSX updates 10.6.4 would constantly corrupt. As does successive other updates like the recent camera raw update and xcode update. I would blame the OS install and reformat except for some reason when I tried these updates at a friends house they work... really strange. I have also resorted to torrenting the update in the case of the 10.6.4 combo. I would really like this fixed but I am at a loss for what to do, and google hasnt turned up people in similar situations for me.
Could shaw (my Internet provider), my router, or... anything be screwing this up somehow?

heres a relevant log, at least I think it is. Its the one generated by trying to update xcode to 3.2.3.

  • Message the older version of apple software can not be removed

    Hi,
I have bought a new iphone4s and when I tried to install in to my itunes it told me I needed an updated version of itunes. So I downloaded the latest and get a message " The older version of Apple Software Update cannot be removed" and then the installer closes.
I then retried but first removed all apple software from the pc, but with the same result.....help

So I downloaded the latest and get a message " The older version of Apple Software Update cannot be removed" and then the installer closes.
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Updateentries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install (using an iTunesSetup.exe downloaded from the Apple Website). Does it go through properly this time?

  • My Itunes will not communicate with either of my ipods. I have unistalled all Apple products from my computer. Completely reinstalled Itunes, however still it keeps telling me to reinstall Itunes to correct the software issue. Please help me!

Please help me. I have an Ipod Shuffle and Ipod Nano both the latest versions. I can not get them to communicate with my ITunes. I have tried the troubleshooting and I have tried completely taking all Apple software off my computer and reinstalling Itunes. I could really use someones help. My ITunes keeps telling me reinstall Itunes to correct a software problem, but I have reinstalled it three times and the issue has not been corrected.
    Thanks a bunch in advanced!

I cannot find "Other" devices. I found Apple Mobile Device under Universal Bus Controllers but cannot see "recovery mode" or any other status. I use Windows Vista.
When I try to restart Apple Mobile Device Service I get the following message: "The Apple Mobile Device Service on Local Computer started then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs". What does this mean?
During the last 48 hours I was able to see my iPad in iTunes only one time during many attemnpts to connect . I haven't been able to see it during the llast several attempts.
Any suggestions? The standard suggestions have not worked: i.e. stop then start AMDS; tuurn off iPad and PC, then restart both and reconfrom iPad to PC; reload iTunes.

  • There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. No apple software installed to try uninstall/repair.

Trying to install latest version of 64bit Itunes. I'm getting the error message "There is a problem with this Windows install package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor". All the solutions require an uninistall of all apple software, which i have done, with no success. Apple software update is not in programs and features to uninstall. I've also tried install just safari, and I get the same error.
I've run cCleaner to fix any registery issues which hasn't worked either.
    Any help appreciated.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) (not for XP) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.
