All Application threads stopped for 3~5 minutes

Hi.
Our Java application experiences sudden 3~5 minutes application threads stops.
Our Application is run by 1 process and 300~400 threads.
All threads are stopped suddenly and are run after 3~5 minutes or more.
I can't analyze any patten but I experience this problem once or twice a day.
I guess it is caused by application bug, java bug or Solaris bug and so on.
I have difficulty to solve this problem and I can't find what causes it.
Please give advice on this problem.

  • How come my Ipad suddenly doesn't want to connect to the wi-fi anymore?  The server stopped for a few minutes and when it came back on, my ipad lists it as available, but says it's impossible to join.

the connexion wi-fi was working fine.  Suddenty, the server stopped for a few minutes and when it came back on, I had no trouble using the internet on my laptop, but myIpad won't connect.  The wi-fi is listed, but it says impossible to connect.  I tried turning off the ipad, but the problem is still there.

Go through some basic troubleshooting steps.
Settings>WiFi>Off, restart the iPad and turn WiFi on again.
Settings>WiFi>Tap the blue arrow next to your home network name>Forget this Network, Restart the iPad and then try to join your network again.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Restart the iPad and try to join your network again.
Finally, you can try rebooting the router. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again.

  • I am downloading lion from the app store and the downloading is taking a long time. also my internet stopped for a few minutes. will that affect the download content.

i have done an online payment for the new mac os. and the downloading is taking a long time . why is it so. its been more than half a day.
also my internet was down for a couple of minutes and so does this affect the integrity of the software and would it be corrupted.
if the software is downloaded is corrupt will i be able to retrieve another copy or have i lost my money in thos.

My download took about 4 hours on a 6 Mbps connection, and I noticed from the winking router light that it paused from time-to-time. The download was successful. It operated perfectly, probably because I did a clean installation rather than the simpler upgrade.

  • More and more I'm experiencing problems with safari . . . I think. I got to a website, and click on something and that little rainbow wheel emerges, spinning, and doesn't stop for a few minutes or never.

First, I'm assuming when the rainbow wheel appears, the computer is processing. Second, I'm seeing that almost anytime I click on one website, click on a tab in the website, or try to get out of safari. I don't know if seeing that more means my computer is not functioning properly, or that it's been on too long and needs to shut down, or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can use the Tab key to select a search engine on the bottom bar and press Enter to use the search engine to do the search.
In the current Firefox 34 release there is a new "one-off" search bar.
This search bar doesn't show the name of the search engine and a logo.
You can type one letter to make a drop-down list appear where you can see suggestions and see the used search engine and that also has bar at the bottom where you can select other search engines that are enabled via the Search tab in Options/Preferences.
You can use the Tab key to select one of the other available search engines and press the Enter key to search with the selected search engine.
Click the search engine icon and click "Change Search Settings" to open the Search tab in Options/Preferences (positioned between Tabs and Content) to select the default search engine and select which search engines to show in the search bar drop-down list that opens when you start typing search terms.

Occasionally I will send out a text to somebody and it will get to about 95% and stop for about 10 minutes. At this time, I can't send a text to anyone, receive a text from anyone, and all my conversations with my friends become erased. After about 15 minutes, they will return and I get bombarded with texts and such. Anyone experience this and know what exactly to do to make it stop? Thank you.

  • Applications constantly stop responding in osx lion

using a 27" imac purchased in 2010, upgraded to lion about a month ago
just in the last 3 days i can barely use my computer as all applications eventually stop responding, and i'm left with the colour wheel
i keep activity monitor open all the time now and nothing seems unusual, though when an application stops resonding i can't use activity monitor to force quit it, and i can't access force quit from the menu bar (even if finder is still responding) - it never opens
the only way i can fix this is with a hard boot, and after turning my computer back on the same problem occurs again pretty quickly anyway
my computer's been running fine up until this, although ever since i installed lion i've noticed it's been running much slower
i dunno whether to blame lion or what, i'm not sure if it's hardware or software please help!

can i go back to a previous version of os x after having installed lion without losing my files?
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac%2F10.5%2Fen%2F8177.html
when i start up in recovery mode i can't do anything cuz it fails to respond and i get the spinning wheel again, so i figure if i use the disc i got with my imac then it might be more inclined to respond as it's an actual hard disc

  • After  i have upgraded to Lion OS, this computer has become the worst computer on this planet. Everything is so slow as if i am in 1990's, where you can click on something and take a coffee break. Constantly get errors on MS Outlook and all applications

After  i have upgraded to Lion OS, this computer has become the **** computer on this planet. Everything is so slow as if i am in 1990 where you can click on something and take a coffee break. Constantly get errors on MS Outlook and all applications are taking for ever to open up. If you guys can't fix it i am going to throw this out the window. Completely fed up with this. Have always loved apple but this is the worst experience i have with the MacBook Air and its not even 1.5yr old.

There are two ways to upgrade to Lion - one is to install Lion overtop of the existing Snow Leopard and the other is to erase the hard drive, install Lion, and then migrate your applications and user accounts. This second option takes a good deal longer than the first so the preferred method for most is the first method and in most cases it works fine. But not in all.
captfred has told you what I'd start out doing if it were my computer. There's a good chance that you can identify an application or plug-in that's causing the problem. Upgrading the involved item(s) can solve the problem. Of all the Lion upgrades I performed I had a couple that weren't completely successful even though I'd looked for programs and plug-ins that needed upgrading first. I missed a few but I found them after the fact and had happy computers.
There was one computer that still had problems. With this computer I reinstalled Lion right over the old version. (If you didn't keep a copy you'll need to download it first.) I still wasn't satisfied so with that computer I rebooted into the recovery partition (Command R after restarting) formatted the hard drive, installed Lion and then migrated. That did solve the problem.

    Hi Thanigaivel
the above flag reports all the stop the world pauses not only
those caused because of gc. Unfortunately, this flag has
misleading name. Thanks for your info!!
Can you think of any reasons other than GC that cause the stop the world pauses? How can I identify the reason? Are there any VM options to log all the activities that causes the "stop the world" pauses?

  • All applications unresponsive for 30 seconds, happens regularly, every few minutes

I have a macbook pro I bought in October 2010.  Every day I take it to and from work, with virtually identical usage/applications open.
Yesterday when I got home and opened the lid, the computer stalled out.  I could move the mouse around, but no applications would respond.  Even when I scrolled over the dock, no magnification animation.  When I came back to the computer a few minutes later, it appeared to have responded to a bunch of my previous clicks, but was again unresponsive.
I decided to try to reboot, but it just sat on the grey screen with the spinning wheel for ten minutes.  I tried reseting the pram, didn't help.  I tried booting from the mac OSX disk, but it would just sit on the gray screen.
Much later in the evening, I decided to try turning it on again.  I came back about 30 minutes later and it was sitting at the login screen working properly, no sign at all of the problem!
This morning, I got back into work, opened the lid, and the same problem.  Only this time, it's unresponsive for about 30 seconds or so, and then works fine for a few minutes, and then goes back to being unresponsive.  AD NAUSEUM.
Since the OSX disk was still in the drive and it was on, I decided to take the opportunity during one of the times it was working properly to try to reinstall OSX.  That was about 45 mins ago.  It is currently sitting on the grey screen with the apple logo (no spinning wheel), and has been for about 30 mins now.
It might be worth saying that there is a noise pattern while it is unresponsive.  The sound is not alarming or unnatural, but there is a sort of hardware stutter/seeking sound that lasts about 1 second and repeats every 5 seconds or so, for the duration of the time it is unresponsive.  It doesn't occur otherwise.  Also, that sound does not currently exist while it is sitting on the grey screen.
    Please help!

  • All applications close after being open for 1 minute.

Recently, all applications I open on my Mac close after being open for 1 minute.  Safari and Microsoft word do not stay open for longer than 30 seconds.  Prior to this, my computer would freeze and eventually applications would close. I'm not sure why this is happening or how to fix it. Does anyone know what could of happen for everything to close after opening it? Any help would be great, thanks!

Disconnect all peripherals from your computer.
Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
    Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
    Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
    Click Repair Disk.
    Restart your computer when done.
Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2963 and restart your computer.

  • Forms applications stops responding for about 2 minutes 3 or 4 times a day

We are experiencing this strange behaviour, and this is certainly coming from the IAS Server as it happens to all clients (from several applications linked to different DB servers).
All connected users have to wait a couple of minutes (with the moving left to right cursor) before getting a response from teh server.
We are running AS 9.0.4 on HP-UX, and all applications have been developped with forms.
Could this be linked to some kind of garbage collection on the server side ?
How can I check this ?
    Any help welcome !
    TIA,

sounds like a network issue to me. However, best recommendation to give is to follow up with customer support and have them analyzing this.

    I have a macbook pro core i7 mid 2012
And update to the latest version 10.8.4 system after updating the system I have the problem appeared to take off the device and stops at the apple logo for about 5 minutes and then enters the desktop How can I solve this problem and thank you

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Select the messages logged after the boot, during the time something abnormal was happening. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
For example, if the problem is a slow startup taking three minutes, post the messages timestamped within three minutes after the boot time, not before. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the beginning of the log extract.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

  • I taped for 6 hours, 5hours downloaded to imovie, 6 stopped at 1:01 minutes and showed error 36, does anyone know what is going on. Contacted apple and they could not find the answer.

Hi All, I have a Panasonic SDR-H250GN recorder which I have always used in imovie.
I taped for 6 hours, which became 6 chapters. 5 downloaded, the sixth keeps stopping at 1:01 minutes, imovie stops responding.
    It taped to full capacity.
How can I get the final hour downloaded?

    Hi Edwardo,
Perhaps there's remnants of that App you're not aware of... what was it?
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
    Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts (Users & Groups in later OSX versions)>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...
