All apps quit immediately & now can't reauthorize itunes

I followed another thread and deauthorized all 5 computers in itunes 10.2.1.1 Now there is no command to reauthorize any computer. I can play music on the computer, but my iphone 3gs running 4.3.1 wants to be set up as a new phone when I connect it. Since I have 60+ apps that is not a good choice. Any ideas on either problem please?

There is no command to authorize or re-authorize a computer from another computer, but there should be a command to authorize the computer you are using with iTunes. At the iTunes menu bar go to Store. Is there not an Authorize This Computer selection via the Store menu?
Even if the computer you are using is not authorized with your iTunes account or is authorized with your iTunes account but is not the computer you normally sync iTunes content with your iPhone, you won't be prompted to restore your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone. You will be provided a warning message that the computer you have connected your iPhone with is not the computer your iPhone is associated with. If you select to sync any iTunes content via iTunes, you will be provided a warning message that your iPhone will be erased of all iTunes content first.
This is different from restoring your iPhone with iTunes. If you are provided a prompt to restore your iPhone with iTunes when connected, this means your iPhone has a problem and needs to be restored.

You mentioned that you tried restoring....have you restored your phone as a NEW device (NOT using your backup)?
Restore your device as NEW. DO NOT add any apps other than those included with iOS 5. Try sending messages. If your phone works, then add your apps back. If not, then you have a hardware failure and you'll have to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation.

If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
When you get to the step to uninstall iTunes, it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step.

I seem to be having the same problem on my Windows 8 laptop... I am able to update my iPod Nano through iTunes but my iPhone is not recognized as a device in iTunes. Press your home button, then scroll the home screen all the way over to the right. I found all my purchased apps were moved to a different home screen. Might be a similar issue.. let us know what you found out!!

I installed a new vision of Itunes that was sent to me but now can not run ITunes

I tunes was working great up to today when I installed the new vision sent to me now I can not open Itunes I get this message Itunes was not installed correcly. Please reinstall Itunes Error 7 windows error 126. I try to reinstall Itunes but it does not help not sure what to do next.

Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:

The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

IConcertCal trouble...I now can't open iTunes!

I downloaded from the Apple website a while ago the application called iConcertCal. It is a calender in iTunes where you can see tour dates and album release dates. The problem is I tried to go into iTunes this morning and I got the message that there was a new version of iConcertCal to update to. I clicked cancel, and then it automatically closed iTunes. Now, whenever I open iTunes I get the same message and if I click cancel or download, iTunes closes. Is there a way to uninstall iConcertCal?

HELP! i tried to upgrade my itunes. This upgrade was totally successful. I then had another problem on my computer so i tried to restore my computer to an earlier timepoint. Since I have done this, I can't load itunes or quicktime. I have tried to uninstall the programs and reinstall them but it still doesn't work. I get an error message on quicktime:
failed to initialize- error-2095
The itunes error message reads :
iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Help- I am going insane with this!!!

I followed a link and somehow ended up at this post from Mike Hogan3 and combined it with something else I came across. This is what worked for me!
1)Follow his suggestions for removing quicktime and itunes (at the end of this message).
2)Then reinstall iTunes from:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
3) Then install QuickTime Standalone Installer from this page (located in the middle right of the page- don't install the one with iTunes!) http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Hope this works! It did for me!

This might not be exactly the same problem but lots of people (myself included) had problems after installing iTunes 6.0. I did the following and it finally installed correctly.
I went to

and downloaded the Cleanup utility near the bottom of that page. When it installs on your machine it will scan your computer for every installer every ran on you're machine. Only select iTunes and Qtime and delete those 2 installers. Then I went to add/remove programs and removed iTunes and Qtime. Prior to this Qtime would not unistall but now it did. Funny thing was there was no prompting by windows once I hit "remove/repair" in the "add/remove programs" function.
Then rerun the iTunes 6.0.1 update. That had been failing to install Qtime prior to this but now it installed and I see all my music again and iTunes works. Let me know if this does the trick, I hope so.

Moved My Hard Drive Now Can Not Find iTunes Library

This is my first post, so I am hoping that I can find an answer to my question.
I recently purchased via eBay a Airport Extreme as I wanted to have my hard drive away from my MacBook. Perviously the Hard Drive was connected with a USB and on that Hard Drive was all my Itunes Music, and it worked 100%. Now that I have the Apple Airport Extreme, which is up and working I can not longer assess my iTunes.
I can see it when I look at the finder, and I have changed it to look at it in the peferance menu on the iTunes, but I think I have not done everything. I have read about all the things that you can do, but they are all taking about "moving" or "backing up" the iTunes library, I have it in the right spot I can not piont the iTunes to it.
Can you please give me any advice. Please find below a screen shot of my Hard Drive, maybe I am not putting the right file up, the one that I have been picking is the one highlighted, iTunes.

Just upgraded to vista and now can't open itunes

I just upgraded to vista (what a pain) I have uninstalled itunes and then reinstalled itunes but I still can't open it. This is what happens. When I click on the itunes icon I get the licence agareement which I check agree and when it goes away I get an error message which says: "The folder Itunes is on a locked disk or you do not have write permissions for this folder." I have tried clicking on the Itunes icon and have gone to itunes properties control panel and clicked on security and tried to get permission many times. After reading post's on this fourm I went to the itunes folder on my c drive and went to the same control panel and tried again but to no avail. I had no trouble with itunes on XP and have used it for years. Btw I can open Quicktime player but it will not play my video files (I don't care because quicktime is not my default player). but I can open it.
I have an Ipod nano and I want to use it to listen to audio books but I can't load them onto it without itunes.

Yes I still have a problem. This is what it is in a nutshell. With User Account Control on in vista I can't open itunes. I am not sure what happens when I try but here goes. First I have installed itunes into my computer and have an icon on my desktop. When I click on that icon the first thing that happens is that I get a licenses agreement which I accept. As soon as I accept the agreement it goes away and I get an error message that says “The folder Itunes is on a locked disk or you do not have write permissions for this folder." The only option that the error message gives me is to say “OK”. When I click on the OK button on the error message it goes away and nothing else happens. Because of this problem I have uninstalled and installed itunes at least 5 times.
I have tried to read as many post in this forum as I can trying to find a solutions to this problem but to no avail. I have also gone to the vista forum and have read as many posts as I can about itunes problems that are there but to no avail. I have tried many fixes that have not work except one. And that was “to turn off the User Account Control.” When I turned off this control I was able to open itunes for the first times. Since then I have opened itunes many times and use it to load my ipod. But when I turn on User Account Control I have the same problem and I can’t open itune. I am open to suggestions on how to fix this problem and at this time I am not sure what is wrong. I have tried my things trying to fix this problem but for all I know I might have does something wrong. So at point I will try anything that you suggest.
