All browser text in italics?
Now that I updated, most of the text in web browsers (happens in Safari, Firefox and Chrome, latest versions of each) is in bold-italics by default. It's pretty annoying, and there doesn't seem to be a way to change it. Any info on this?

I'm using Firefox 3.6.8 [& Vista os], and can't find any relevant info in Firefox 'Help' re: optimizing browser.
I wrote Hotmail about my problem below, and they say I need to optimize my browser. They don't give instructions for how to do this in Firefox.... when I search in your 'help' contents, nothing close comes up.
I also have the concern whether someone else is accessing my account, since the error mssg says something to the effect "when you access your acct from more than one computer"....

This is VERY frustrating, to say the least! I have major deadlines, and Hotmail is so bad I can't get my work done!!
Ever since the 'upgrade', I am forced to almost constantly refresh my browser, and then when I do, my email and all my text goes away! Sometimes I am prompted to refresh when I have just logged in.... It asks me to refresh my browser sometimes once a minute.... sometimes more often!
When I hit refresh, it actually causes the current page to disappear, and it comes back as a blank email with all my text gone! And hitting the 'back' button does not bring me back to the page I lost.
Most of the time I can't even save my work as a draft, because it asks me to refresh [again], and then the email is gone and there's no draft to be found.
This is *very* time consuming!! I've had to figure out how to work around this problem, but my 'fix' is also very tedious and time consuming....
I'm constantly copying my text so I have a current copy of my email, then when I lose the draft, I paste it back in... I often go in circles with this, and eventually I'll have my current draft saved.
Also, sometimes when it prompts me to refresh, just hitting the 'save draft' button a few times will suffice. So at least I won't lose my page, because, sometimes hitting 'save draft' actually works.... Eventually, tho, it'll force me to refresh before I can move on to sending the email.
Please help!! I've been using Hotmail since before MS bought it, and this problem is SO bad I'm considering jumping ship so I can get my work done!!
I don't generally like upgrades, as it usually means there will be problems, and the upgrade was released before being fully tested!.... I don't like being a guinea pig, especially when I have deadlines!

"Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Something weird happened to Safari. Yesterday I was cleaning the keyboard with a vacuum cleaner and probably some random keyboard combination triggered a weird behavior in Safari. Most of the text that in a normal situation would be plain now it is showed in italics. For example if I google something all the text in the resulting page is italic, the same goes for most of the website that I visit on regular basis.
I don't want to reset Safari unless there is no other option.
Any idea?I figured it out by myself.
Somehow, really do not know how!, *FontExplorer X pro* deactivated a couple of SYSTEM FONTS such as Arial, Verdana, and others. This caused not only Safari but many other applications to behave in a weird way in terms of the fonts. Just activated back the fonts and problem solve.
Now, as I said before, +how in da' **** those fonts got de-activated?!+ -
Updating all "Body Text" in a Pages document.
OS 10.2 with a current version of Pages.
This is a 150 page cookbook with Designated Headers and Body paragraphs. I need to change the Font in the Body paragraphs, without having to highlight the Body test for each recipe and upgrading it one at a time. It would take forever. Is their a way to upgrade all Body paragraphs in document at the same time so that the Headers remain intact?You have not said what version of Pages you are using.
You click in the text and Select All (command a) then change the text formatting to whatever you want.
You update the Body style to the selected text formatting by clicking on the Style name and updating via the triangle or + to the side.
To force apply the style to selected text and make sure it overrides all other formatting, including italics, bolding etc, double click on the Style name.

I just statred Flash CC for the first time and it seems that the text within the pop-up window (dialog box) is mis-aligned and not allowing me access to the command buttons, nor all the text. (ie: the NEW Template Box, can't see but 2/3 of the content) is there a fix to this problem? using 8.1, Monitor is a high res.2560x1440.

I tried to customize PC settings for my mom, whose site is failing. So I plugged in the nosquint Firefox addon and upped the font size. Additionally, I tried to make desktop text etc. (non-browser text) larger. When I accomplished this through the Windows DPI adjustment, the browser would not open to full screen width (at least, not through any means other than F11, which is something beyond my mother's understanding or patience). With DPI 120, the maximized browser will not go full screen, but will instead hold left of screen, and display less than the full width of the page being viewed (this make my mom give up. And who wants to scroll laterally anyways?). Is there some way to pair the functionality of Windows DPI boosts with Firefox text/window zoom? Thanks.

Try to set the pref layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 2 on the about:config page.
To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. -

I used my existing apple ID when I purchased a second iPhone for my business.. Now all my texts are coming to both phones.. Is there a way to create a new apple account for my business phone and if so.. How do I delete one and add another?
Yes, you can have two separate Apple IDs, and it's pretty easy to set this up. Go into Settings > iTunes & App Store on your business phone. You should see your current Apple ID. Tap on it, then tap on sign out. You can then create a new Apple ID, using a different email address and password than those associated with the Apple ID on your other phone. Log back in using this new information, and you shouldn't get the texts that come to your other phone.

My husband and i have our iphones set up. He is getting all my text messages that are coming through to my phone, how can i elminate this problem? Does it have anything to do with out icloud?
Well, you use the different accounts such Phone Numbers, email addresses. And make sure that your iPhones have no receipient address in common, then you can avoid this issue.
I use iMessage on my iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, iPod touch.
Each of them has a individual address to receive messages, so they won't combine all the messages among all the devices.
Try this, if it doesn't work, tell me, I'll figure another way out. -
My friend switched from an iphone to a non apple phone. All my texts to him in groups and one on one still come up as imessages. How do I get rid of the imessage when i talk to him? I have tried deleting his number, deleting all messages he was apart of

My husband and I share the same apple ID for purchasing apps and what not, ever since the update he started receiving all my texts from other people and I am not even getting them half the time. Any thoughts on trying to fix this would be appreciated. I tried turning off imessage but then he got no texts at all.
Make sure that on each of your Settings>Messages> Send and Receive Addresses have only the appropriate phone number and email checked at the left. If his is checked on yours click on his it will uncheck

Dear all, greetings, I did not mean to offend anyone by typing all my texts in capital letters, I am just used to it and at my age (63) it is better and easier for my eyes to type all the texts in my messages in capital letters.I do apologize about it all. I can assure you that I do respect all of you more that you maight me thinking of. i have the same difficulties in typing in small letters like yours in reading texts in CAPITAL letters.......tant pis, c' est la vie
For web and computing experts I would like to remind them that all the peoples nowadays have the same needs (or hobbies if you wish) regarding the electronic devices, web, compouters, softwares and that sort of thing.
If I WERE not to have technical support because of my prefiously used capital letters in me text messages, I have to confess that next time I will be more carefull about the devices producers........ I live and always learn (SOCRATES, girasko, aei didaskomenos)

1. I noticed on the you tube videos about the new ipad that the main icons are more than mine (i.e. the icon of facebook and a number or others are missing)
2. I would like to ask you to do me a favour, thanks for your patiene. Still I have not understood how (in which way, the pictures, transfered from my system or new taken by the ipad camera are uploaded directly to the FaceBook. I suppose that I will not have the same difficulties regarding the videos to both Facebook AND YoutTube. Athens, GreeceSome of the apps shown in adverts / videos have been downloaded from the App Store, they don't come pre-installed e.g. the Facebook app is a free download the app store : 'official' Facebook app.
To upload photos to Facebook you can use the above app - you can't, for example, use Safari on the iPad to upload content to sites.
Not sure whether any apps allow you to upload videos to YouTube (I don't use the site). -
How can I turn off imessage for just one of my contacts? Me and my husband just upgraded (both had iphone 4), I got the iphone 5s and he got he note 3. All my text to him automatically send as a imessage. Ive tried to delete his contact and then went back in and reentered it but that doesnt work.
Have your husband text the word "stop" to 48369. This should take his number out of the iMessage system.
Go into your settings under messaging and make sure the box to send as an SMS if iMessage is unavailable is checked.
Hopefully this will get your messages sending/receiving to each other.
