All browsers hang after opening a few pages

Hi,
I'm using a MacBook pro with OS 10.6.8 with 4 GB of ram and a 319 GB hard drive showing 71 GB still available. On both safari and Firefox, after I open a couple of pages in either browser, pages stop loading. They get hung up and never load. If I restart, I can visit a few pages again and then it hangs up again. After searching for solutions, I have emptied my cache and added two open source DNSs. Neither helped. Also downloaded sophos home for Mac and scanned for malware and it found none. Any suggestions?

iPhone 4s with ios6 all apps crashing after opening. Yesterday my phone started to crash. Everytime i started whatsapp or others, it stars working at first than goes back main screen. Resetted the device by pushing home and lock buttons. Nothing happened. Tried to format and it's worked again. But i don't want to set my phone from beginning. When i restored from backups nothing happened. Only hard format fixed. what else can i do with this situation ?

Try restoring it but set it up as a new iPhone this time. If that does not work then bring it to Apple.

Photoshop CC, Flash CC, After Effects CC, Dreamweaver CC all Closes right after opening????

I have tried everything on the forums, but every time i open Photoshop, Dreamweaver, flash, after effects all with CC paid membership closes right after opening them. I have read the forums searched in the internet, update and downgrade the drivers on graphic card, sign in and out the adobe creative cloud, The one thing i notices is that when i open Photoshop in the notifications on my windows, it appears in the notifications that i register my product on adobe with ID but i have entered my Id with billing information an all when i click to continue it goes sign in then back to the address??. And in my products shows i have membership cloud, don't know what to do anymore! I have even uninstall the program and clean everything with adobe cleaning tool. I don't Know what to do!!!

After printing a few page Firfox will not print anymore

After opening Firefox and using the print function a few times the print function stops working but there is no alert to say it will not print.
The only way to get it to print again is to come out of Firefox & re-boot the PC and then open Firefox again

Multiple browsers won't open a web page, but Skype and Mail work.

turned off my computer one night and the next morning none of my browsers (safari, chrome, Firefox) would open a page...("server unexpectedly dropped the connection") spotify works, and my mail program still receives mail.   What's weirder, a google search sometimes works in chrome, but won't load a page once selected inside the google results page! Also, two other devices connected wirelessly to router work fine.
Any ideas?

The exact same thing happened to me last week.   On May 22 I was able to search the Internet like normal, and then I turned off my computer to go to bed. The next morning I tried using Firefox and found out that not many sites would load. I then tried Safari and had the same issue.   I was able to search for something on google by typing a search term into the search box at the top of my browser, and it took me to the google page as you describe above.
However, when I clicked most links, they would not load. Some would, though, but only a few. After analyzing the links that did work, I realized that the sites that worked were https sites.   Http sites would not work at all.
I had two things that updated on May 22 -- one was Adium and the other was Sophos anti-virus.   The Sophos update was what caused the issue....but only because it must have had a conflict with AVG LinkScanner, which I had disabled a long time ago.
Before I realized that it was the AVG LinkScanner with the real issue, I turned off the web protection features on Sophos.   I then refreshed some http sites, and it solved the problem.
However.....I did some more research and learned that AVG LinkScanner might be the real issue (even though it hadn't updated since Feb. and I had it disabled).   I disabled it because I couldn't find a way to uninstall it. So I found this link:

And I uninstalled AVG Link Scanner, and after I uninstalled it, I turned back on the web protection features on Sophos anti-virus.   The http sites still work.
I don't know if this is the same issue as I had, but it sounds so similar. Do you, by chance, have AVG LinkScanner, Sophos anti-virus, or any anti-virus program?

Why does Safari drop stylesheets after browsing a few pages?

I've got an intranet here at work and we're trying to figure out why Safari drops default.css when we browse around a few different pages.
Basically after a short while, it stops recognising our default.css and renders it all as if default.css didn't exist.
I have checked in the developer tools to confirm that it stopped using default.css so now I am truly stuck.
It only happens in Safari and not Chrome which suprised me. Does anyone know if bad HTML or validation will stop the css being rendered properly?

You can do some basic Safari trouble shooting by:
Safari - Reset Safari
Safari - Empty Cache
You can also be just low on RAM. As a general rule your system should have about 500MB or more of FREE RAM. To check to see how much your system has open Activity Monitor - System Memory Tab and look for the amount of free RAM. You can find AM in Applications - Utilities - Activity Monitor. Remember to check when you are seeing a slow down otherwise the information will be meaningless. The graphic will look similar to:

Files hang after opening, then un-hang

In both Photoshop and Illustrator CS5, when I open an image or create a new image, the programs hang for 3-10 seconds before I can do anything. I can't select, copy, paste...anything. It's not a huge deal, but as I'm working all day on dozens of files / images, it's starting to add up. I click 'open' and once open, I have to sit and twiddle for a bit before I can do anything. Wasn't like this in CS4 or earlier.
Any thoughts?

Before I upgraded to CS5 I upgraded everything and used the "check upgrade" within FAP because the insidersoftware website doesn't list the version of the latest release..... but the "check upgrade" told me that I was up to date, even though I wasn't. After an hour of troubleshooting I narrowed it down to FAP and that's why I mentioned grabbing the version 4.140 from CNet that way you can check the version manually.
this error is very specific to FAP so I'm still hoping that Adobe posts this as a known issue so that more people don't need to lose time on this.

My daughter played with my ipad recently and she opened a game called "barbie fashionitas". Then suddenly my ipad hangs. Pressing the buttons doesn't work, i even tried synching but the ipad doesn't work either
any idea what should i do?

Have you tried a reset? Hold the sleep/power button until the red power slider appears, slide it off. After a few seconds hold the sleep/power button again until the black screen with the Apple logo appears and let the iPad come back up.

Why does my iphone have little flashing lines after opening a web page?

So last night I was reading on my phone, and I wanted to look something up that had to do with my book. I opened up Safari, and clicked on the first link, I think it led to tumblr, and I waited for the page to be pulled up. After about 10 minutes, my whole phone froze up and I couldn't do anything. The web page suddenly faded to these grey flickering lines which stayed on my phone for over an hour. I didn't know what to do so I pulled it off the charger and let it die. In the morning when I pulled my phone out and checked it. It had the little charger on the black screen but the lines were there too. I plugged it back in and all is well except the lines are still on my screen. Did I do something?

If you want to try something to see if its software related is to Restart, Reset, then Restore. Do each one then test the phone before proceeding to the next in that order.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

Windows 8.1 desktop hangs after opening folder after boot

Having read all the articles on fixing context menus I cannot find a solution for the exact issue I am seeing.
 
When I boot my PC I can right click and select 'open' on my PC. I can then quite happily bring up the context menu on any folder on my drive.
 
However for a period of around 10-15 seconds I an unable to select anything displayed on my desktop. After which period everything works fine until the next reboot.
 
My PC is a Lenovo T440s that was shipped with windows 8 and has been upgraded to windows 8.1.
 
I have tried disabling all non-Microsoft extensions using shexview and has tried safe mode but the problem still ex

Also check 'Windows Event Viewer'.
To do this, right-click the start orb and select 'Windows Event Viewer'. Check the 'Application' and 'System' logs for anything out of the ordinary around the time you right-clicked your desktop.
Have you installed the Windows 8.1 drivers for your T440s after the upgrade was done?
Did it work correctly in Windows 8? Perhaps you might want to rollback or reset to factory and perform the update again. And then install your favorite software afterwards when the upgrade has successfully completed.
Some third-party software may stop working correctly when upgrading from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1, and may be causing this issue.

Lightroom 5.6 hangs after using for few minutes. MacBook pro, Mac os 10.9.5. Colour wheel (beach ball) appears continuously and machine is frozen.

I have been using Lightroom successfully on my MacBook pro for the past few weeks and been pleased how much better it is compared to iPhoto. Especially its speed.
This week a few minutes after starting Lightroom the spinning colour wheel appears and the machine is effectively hung. Nothing responds. Sometimes after many minutes the mouse pointer reappers but the colour wheel immediately reappears if the mouse is moved or any attempt is made to do anything. Only recourse is to force a power down and re-boot. But then the same thing happens.
System is MacBook Pro (15") from late 2008, 2.4 GHz Intel core 2 Duo with 2 GB RAM (Have tried 3 GB but this makes no difference.) Running Mac os 10.9.5 (Mavericks)
I have checked file permissions and file system with Disk Utility, it found no problems. Have optimised Lightrooms catalogue. All made no difference.
I completely stuck now so any help appreciated,

Satellite P200 - all Browsers Crashes after 5 to 20 mins

I am now losing the will to live with this laptop.
Satellite P200-13z with Vista 32bit
The issue is this... no matter what browser I use it will freeze and hang. Opera, IE and Firefox. Sometimes it will be good and work for 20 mins, sometimes it will crash in 5 mins.
I have updated my drivers, done clean re-installs of the OS, tested my RAM, shut down all but MS services, increased virtual memory, prayed to various germanic gods.
I have Avast and Zone Alarm running alone from Non MS services. I may shut them down and see what happens but not sure it will be the cause.
I am of the opinion it may be memory related and the way it is handled, possible aligned with Adobe Flash (spit). Maybe a Vista issue.
Uninstalling that curse (Flash) does not seem to fix the issue either.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? 18 months I have been trying to fix this... and now I need the laptop fulltime it needs to be fixed.
It isn't an isolated problem either, google search 'all browser crash vista' to see what is happening out there, and a comple lack of knowledge or solution for this issue.

By crash, the browser locks up and freezes. I can close firefox for example, but am unable to restart it or kill the process.
I have seen it happen on Mozilla Filezilla and browsers only.
I should have done it while under warranty, but unable to do that now. I just assumed it was a flash issue and would have been fixed under a future update. Also due to the number of people getting the same issue problem, assumed it wasn't the laptop.
Would you know what kinda reports I would need to post so folk can see what is happening under the hood so to speak?

Complete Status after viewing a few pages

We are using an IBM LMS and have found that for all movies
the LMS is generating a completed status when the users only view a
few slides, then close the movie. I currently have the settings at
report Pass / Fail with just one scored button at the end. Some
users close the movie half way through and never reach this button
yet still receive a completed status.
