All buttons in Firefox have dissappeared after a PC optimization software- please help!
I am using Windows 7 on a Toshiba laptop.
I used AVG's PC clean-up as a trial (no longer have access to it).
During the process, I chose to turn off blinking and revolving content on Firefox (thinking I was turning off those annoying ads).
Now, all of my 'buttons' are just blank boxes. I use gmail: the star option on the inbox has disappeared. The 'send', 'spam', 'trash', etc above the email- those are just blank boxes (they still do work though- I just have to move over them to get the explanation to see what they are). This is not the case with the 'star' however.
I have been all over settings, and have tried the JAVA advanced.
I think this must be something set outside of Firefox. Internet Explorer runs fully functional.
Please help. I really do not want to have to re-install Firefox as I don't want to lose all of my saved passwords and bookmarks.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

Transfering songs from iPod after PC recovery what software please, help?
Hi,unfortunately i had to do another recovery on my pc and did not have enough time to back up my music/vids. I thought this would be ok as i had previously downloaded Podplayer and thought i could recover them with this software, it seems to have gone haywire and changed song titles some of them are now unamed and have become protected. Even worse it also turns out i have now lost over 200 music vids and movies in one swoop,no thanks to the ipods automatic syncing when plugged in. Thank god ive still got my music, just about. Can anyone please suggest a free software that i can use to transfer music from ipod to my PC that is reusable and also keeps the songs in order, title, artist and so on? The yahoo mail page listing my email headers load OK, but no email buttons show and the links showing do nothing. Can't open , read, reply or forward or compose new. nothing works on the page.

Previously Firebug is working perfectly with FireFox and it helps a lot on web development.
But few times of FireFox updates, once turn on the FireBug, FireFox will always hang, slow response, for example, clicking one button or one URL link on web page, it will take around 3 seconds only response. Click the scroll bar to scroll the page, the page will only scrolled after few seconds. The loading image on the tab will also hang and not circling.
Once turn off the Firebug, everything working fine.
It will be FireFox update having problems or the FireBug not compatible with the updated version of FireFox?
Try to search the updates for FireBug but it's the latest version.
Try to disable all the add-ons, plug-ins, not solving issue.Hello,
Go to about:config and try turning off javascript.options.strict .
Firebug is known to be very intense on Ram, try turning it off when you don't need to use it.

ICal event have disappeared after upgrading to Lion. Please help!
After upgrading to Lion, pre-existed calendar events (Newer ones) have disappeared. How can I recover?

If you have a backup of your computer from before you upgraded then you can restore the data from your backup: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1553

If you do not have a backup from before you upgraded:
1. Make an iCal backup so you don't lose what you have currently: Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
2. Go to iCal > Quit iCal
3. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove all files and folders that start with this phrase)
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove all files and folders that start with this phrase.)
---NOTE: Removing these files may remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
---NOTE: To get to "Home > Library" in Lion:
4. Open iCal and see if the events you are looking for magically reappear.
If the events don't appear and you don't have a backup or have the events on another device like an iPhone or iPad then your only other option would be to use data recovery software or a data recovery company to try to get the data back (although it might be easier to just re-create the data as best you can).

I am 70 Years old and worked very happy with my iMac (21,5“ mid 2010, 3,2 GHz Intel Core 3)
until I updated him from SnowLeopard 10.6.8 to Mavericks 10.9.2.
2 Days all was OK. Next Morning-Start he needs (until now) 3 minutes to show me a SCREEN only milky white. After that he starts like ever with all ICONS in about 1 minute. (together 4 min.)
..But I must notice, that I cannot make anything, because the „BLUETOOTH APPLE WIRELESS KEYBOARD and the APPLE MAGIC MOUSE“ doesn't work anything like before.
I could nothing do, I must drop my APPLE only out.
That I maked ever 10x and all was the same... (Maveriks also 4x new updated)
I taked my Logitech-Bluetooth-Mouse from the WIN-Laptop, dropped it in USB from iMAC...and in one second I could work only with this MOUSE...I buyd the Logitech COMBO K520 and all was OK now with my lovely APPLE iMAC to work with him...But without APPLE KEYBOARD and MAGIC MOUSE...and with a 4 min. -START until now.
I asked the EXPERTS from APPLE-SUPPORT under Tel. 0800-6645451 in Germany, became a Number, maked many Things by starting new, but the mistake after all is the same like before.
When I look into ...Apple/ Info/System/ Hardware/ Bluetooth ..my APPLE says: NO INFOs FOUND (Es wurden keine Informationen gefunden.)
Under Hardware/ Diagnose : Selbsttest beim Einschalten: zuletzt ausgeführt: 15.05. 14, Ergebnis: Bestanden (that means OK) !!
I asked many Peaple, who sold APPLE-Computers in the STORS, but they all had no IDEA, how they can help.

Hello i have the Ipod 4th gen, and i just dowloaded a song and it just skips the song when i try to play it, its like it dosent even exist! i tried redownloading it with the Icloud button but i dont have it. It just says PLAY. please help!

It won't let me drag an effect from the browser all of a sudden. I have always been able to do before. I am using effects from favorites bin and when I try to drag it to the timeline, it won't move. I have never had this problem before. Please help.
P.S. I have tried other effects including transitions and it still won't let me drag.Wow that was really quick, thank you so much. Im not sure at all which version it was because i said it was around 4 years ago he bought it. I know it isn't under his username, since he's a PC person (ugh) so i know its probably registered to one of our actual names. isn't there some way to look it up since we did register it, because I'm not even sure where the disks are from when we bought it (we've moved a lot and also have two storage lockers, i know i would have kept it with other disks) but my cd rom drive is actually broken on my computer as well ( i think it got stepped on and is now squished and won't eject or run disks.)
So is there anyway they can look up that its registered to one of our names since we did register it when we bought and installed it, or do i really have to find the disk with some sort of proof of purchase (i know there would be no receipt after all this time)

The UAE and several other mostly Middle Eastern Countries ban FaceTime. Because of this all devices manufactured for sale in those countries does not have FaceTime and FaceTime cannot be installed on those devices.

I can still receive icloud ( ME email address) emails fine. I have not changed my settings at all. I have however tried all the settings I can find on the support pages. PLEASE HELP. Nothing has changed. This suddenly just started happening around a month ago. To frustrate me apple does not seem to have a support email or any method to contact them with this issue to do with their email product. I have spent ages going through the apple support sites and I keep getting asked for an apple product to mark it against. I have no apple product as I am using a PC but I am accessing and using their email product. Is there even a phone number I can call? Surely there is a support area for their Email server issues. Can anyone help? It is driving me mad and causing me major issues. My outlook is Outlook 2010 on a windows 8 PC. As I have said it worked fine then one day decided to stop sending emails.

You should never try to charge or turn on a wet electronic device.
You should let it dry for a week or so, then try. -

I have updated my Imac to Mavericks and now my parallells won't work and I have reinstalled as per the instructions. Please help as all my data is on a hardrive that is formatted for PC.
Yes I just discovered that this morning but I have purchased another external harddrive and formatted it for both and am in the process of transferring the files across it and then I will erase the old harddrive and reformat it so I can use it.
I have learnt to format harddrives from this experience but am happy to see the back of parallells.
