All calendar appts lost on PC after update

did anyone happen to lose all of their appointment on Outlook after syncing & updated the iphone?
my calendar has been wiped clean.

Actually, I lost ALL future recurring appointments and ALL past appointments prior to June 2007.
Like I said, GREAT job Apple... this really messes things up for me. What were you thinking?

It sounds like you are trying to find the Personal Hotspot option in your Settings. You were close. The option is directly under Settings, and not in the Cellular section of Settings:
Go to Settings > Personal Hotspot

This seems to be most common with lower resolution pictures. You can go into settings > general > accessibility and turn reduce motion motion off and then try to rescale. Or user a higher resolution picture, which works better with the new OS.

i have the same problem with my iphone 4.and when synching with itunes it says "can't synch contacts with iphone because iphone is using contacts. close contacts on iphone and synch again."

No problems here but you can re download the FB app from the App Store right on your iPhone.

Restore the backup that you made when you last synced your phone to iTunes on your computer. Alternatively, if you enabled iCloud backup on the phone, you can restore from the latest iCloud backup by going to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings.

i haging a problem that I've lost all my ringtones after update to ios8.1.1.. How can I get back my ringtones?

i thought my ringtones were in the cloud. if I download a song it shows up on my Mac and my iTunes with a cloud next to it so I can download it anytime. Why don't I have that option with ringtones?

All old e-mails are gone after update

After updating my Gen. 1 iPhone to 2.0 today, I noticed that all the e-mail messages that were on the phone were gone. Inbox, Sent, all of them. Is anybody else experiencing this? I haven't yet tried sending an e-mail to see if my phone is having the same sending issues many of you seem to be having....

I contacted Apple Support to ask for a solution. During a couple of days I received several phone calls asking for info of my different devices and configurations. They didn't have an explanation for my problem and only can recover e-mails for one week ago and. They decide to report to engineering to see what happened and recover the rest.
Meanwhile, after 3 days, my Mail program start to download ALL my mail again. 5000 unreaded e-mails in my inbox. The same way they disappeared they returned. No explanation, no moves, no clicks, nothing. IPhone and iPad sync perfectly.
Two days after that (weekend) Apple Support has called me again (this morning). And that's the strangest part, they have bad news for me because they (nor support neither engineers) cannot recover my lost e-mails!!! Then, I've told them my e-mail has returned and they didn't know it. My problem was solved but Apple Support didn't have a clue why or when.
Happy end but my confidence in iCloud Service has decreased a lot. I've been using my mac.com adress for more than 10 years (most of them paying around 100$) and I didn't expect that kind of surprises and unknwoledge from Apple.

All contacts, photos and apps deleted after updating to IOS 6

After updating my 4s to IOS 6 all my contacts, photos and apps were deleted. I even tried connecting to itunes and restoring to backup with no luck. Any idea how I can re-gain all my contacts, photos and apps?

Use iTune to update your apps.
Check for Updates (bottom right) in iTune. When download is completed, sync to iPad.

Firefox reverts to older version on own. Now cannot re-install lost plugs even after updated rev.

Over time (months usually) firefox seems to revert to an earlier version that I was using, customization would be lost. This last instance, I lost plug ins and cannot get them to re-install though the process works as it always used to. I even tried re-installation after updating to the latest rev of firefox. I like Adblock and Noscript, but they will not re-install.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause.

Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

All my camera photos was disappear after update Album app

After updated Album app version 5.4.A.0.20 from update center, all photos which took by Xperia Z1 was disappear! only left photo which transfer from old phone and edited photo. i had restart my Z1 and still the same. by the way, my camera is directly save into SD card. anybody know how to recover it?

You could try going to Settings - Apps then swipe to All and look for the Album app then open it and tap on Clear cache and reboot your phone - Do not tap on Clear data - or you could try deleting the .Thumbnail folder which may be hidden but using an app like a file explorer and choosing show hidden files will show the folder then it's a case of deleting and again rebooting your phone

Lost my movies after update 3.0...

After updating to 3.0, it deleted all my movies. I only had half backed up. How can I retrieve the rest of my movies??? If I can't, will Apple refund the movies I bought? I have all the receipts saved on my computer. I know its my fault for not backing up the rest but, ***? What kinda update erases your movies???
P.S. I upgraded to 3.1 post losing all my movies to see if they would appear… they didn't :'(

I have the same. All my content got erased. I didn't sync it, because my main computer is a macbook pro with a 256ssd, (and before an 160hdd) so didn't want my hard drive to be filled with movies. But now the appletv is empty, I installed 3.0.1 as per apples suggestion, but no content to be found. Will the issue the ability to re-download? If I take my car to the garage for new oil, and they mess up the seats, they're going to give me new seats. I wonder why the software business is allowed to make costly mistakes? I know this is a hobby for apple, but this is ridiculous.

you can restore them if you had them backed up over icloud
or check if there's any left on your sim card (settings > mail, contacts,... > import from sim card)

Language packs can only be installed by Nokia Care Points. Contact you local Nokia Care Point to have it installed. Please note that you will probably lose the language pack will revert back to the original again the next time you update your firmware.
