All calendar events and notes gone
All of my calendar events and notes have been erased. I don't know why. I really needed them! If anyone has any ideas about recovering them, I'd be very grateful. Thanks!
The only calendar listed is "birthdays," which appeared a while ago after I had downloaded the Facebook app and had all the birthdays of my Facebook friends. I never even wanted that calendar, so I had deselected it and had all my events on a different calendar. The other calendar is gone altogether and even the birthday one is blank. All of my notes are gone, too, and the books in my iBooks library all say cannot find the source. This is all since I installed the latest ios update. :/

I think my wife had an old apple ID on the phone and never backs up her device. She lost all contacts and calendar events. any help?It would default to whatever account you have set for default. If you were using Exchange, it would sync to that. However, the settings for syncing are set up in iTunes. You would need to check to see what settings were in iTunes for syncing the information. It could be a supported application on the computer, or a cloud service as I said earlier.
On my personal phone, it will default to my iPhone calendar which I sync with Outlook on my computer. I can select the Exchange account if I want, but my default is what I sync with Outlook. -
Why do I have the Invite Attendee option in some calendar events and not in others?
I just entered a lot of kids' activities into my Blackberry and couldn't send them to my husband's--the option was not there. I have previously been able to do this. In events that I entered prior to tonight, the invite attendee option is still there, even if I hadn't invited anyone yet. In each event that I entered tonight, the option is not there. I recently installed the newer version of Facebook. My husband changed his facebook options (unchecked the box connecting his facebook account with the blackberry calendar application) and his invite attendee option returned. I tried the same thing, and it did not work. I also went under default services and changed the calendar (CICAL) to an email address instead of facebook, and that also did not work. I don't know if I have BES or BIS--how do I find out? I have tried checking to see if the desktop organizer is using the blackberry wireless synch as mentioned in a previous post, but that isn't an option next to calendar (only ASCII Importer/Exporter or Yahoo).

Houston, we have a problem! The first version of Facebook that came out, had a bug that changed the default CICAL
to Facebook. In Default services the CMIME and CICAL should match the main email address, that is also the main
address on your PC.
Go to the calendar and once started, menu key, options. Calendar options is the name of the screen. You will see a calendar
for each email address, and one for Facebook. Highlight and click each calendar, not the number of records in each.
If you a a calendar for Device Default, let us know the records for that one as well.

If your phone is a personal phone you setup your self, you're most likely BIS. I don't think this will be related to
the wireless sync. Please tell me what Calendar do you sync with. Outlook, Yahoo, etc.
Please go to options, advanced options, applications. Find Facebook and click on it, scroll down and tell me what
version it is. OK?

I have downloaded IOS7 on my iPhone and all calendar events have disappeared. The general functions of the calendar have changed and are definitely not 'user friendly'. How can I retrieve my calendar events. Will Apple improve the calendar function or revert to the previous system. Even the typing function on IOS 7 is faulty - very slow to respond to the keyboard. I no longer enjoy using my iPhone. Can anyone assist. Thank you
Very strange! All of my calendar events have reappeared. This has happened one week after downloading iOS 7
The calendar however, is not easy to use.
The typing function on the phone has become even slower. Have to wait for each letter to show on screen. -
i have a birthday showing in my calendar listed as an all day event and it is incorrect how can I delete it. When clicked on does not bring up the edit feature. The vodaphone shop thinks it has synced with my facebook app.
hello, the addons manager is exactly the right place to look for it. please try disabling the addons that are listed there one-by-one (a restart of the browser might be necessary after each step). maybe one of them is bundling this kind of adware.

Lost all calendar events since 2012 and most before then!
I updated my wife's iPhone to her own iTunes/Apple ID - now any calendar events since 2012 have been deleted and even some of those left i.e. from 2012 and before have been deleted as well.
Whenever I was offered the option to delete/merge/keep items they were kept and not deleted.
I have looked everywhere I can think off, including using iPhone recovery software - and there isn't any sign of deleted calendar events! If they had been deleted as I changed the Apple ID - I would have thought they would all have been deleted! As you can appreciate it, I am now firmly in the dog house! - where have they gone and can I recover them?Thanks - initially the calendar seemed to be totally empty. I then did as you suggest and discovered the events prior to 2013. It is almost as if there was an incomplete synch and then it synched again and took the incomplete version as the correct version - loosing all 2013 events and some of the events prior to 2013!

I just synced my iPhone on iCloud and it deleted all of my calendar events and isn't even showing up on the iCloud website. Is there a way to get all of those events back?
I've had the same problem, synced yesterday and I've lost all my events in my calendar. Restored my phone,not worked, deleted icloud that hasnot worked,nothing is coming up at all on icloud calendar, and my mac was backed up when I plugged in today so not backed up on that. Someone please help, can I get them back? my life was on that calendar.

Yosemite Calendar - All day events are not showing
I have been using Apple Calendar for quite some time but after I upgraded to Yosemite All day events does not show in the calendar any more. Other events in my calendar is showing.
Environment:
1: I'm on Macbook Pro Retina, running Yosemite 10.10.1
2: Calendar is version 8.0 (2026)
3: I am using Google Calendar, added as account to Calendar
Problem/Bug:
This has been working fine on Maverick until this upgrade and I think it is a bug in Calendar.
1. I tried to add an all day event from Calendar, using my Google account calendar
2. Event is saved, but once saved it isn't shown in Calendar.
3. When I login to my Google account calendar, the event I created just created is shown nicely there!
I then tried adding a new calendar using my iCloud account, but same thing happened:
1. I tried to add an all day event from Calendar, using my iCloud account calendar
2. Event is saved, but once saved it isn't shown in Calendar
3. I once again try, this time by logging into my iCloud account, the event I created just created is shown!
This is really weird and a major issue as all-day events are kind of important to see when you are planning and scheduling meetings.
One additional thing, I'm not sure if it is related, I have Time zone support turned on as I am working across multiple time zones.
Anyone else that have encountered this?

Subsequent to Yosemite or updates, my repeating calendar events can not be updated as before. When I update an event (of a repeating event) on my MacBook Pro; its reverts back when I shut it down and come back, and doesn't update other devices?
Has anyone experienced this and does anyone know a fix?This is incredibly frustrating for me too!
I have a repeated monthly event for a discount at a store that is offered on the first Tuesday of every month. So I have a repeated event taking place on the 1st of every month. In the previous month I reset next month's date from the 1st to whatever date falls on the first Tuesday.
But ever since upgrading to Yosemite, I am experiencing the same problem as the original person who posted. The date saves on my calendar but does not sync to my iCloud. When I reboot the computer, the date reverts back to the 1st.
I'm thankful I don't have any events that needed to be tracked because ALL of my previous changes in the past have reverted back to the 1st of the month. I would have been in the same terrible situation as yaz999 in having to manually change every event in previous months.
Why hasn't this bug been fixed yet???!!! -
Restored iPod lost my notes, calendar events, and memos
I backed my iPod up to iTunes and then I restored my iPod touch 5...after it was finished I tried putting my data all back on but a lot of the data wasn't there. The only thing there was my contacts. I also backed everything up to iCloud too before I restored my iPod. How can I get my notes, calendar events, and my memos back? Please help me I really need the notes I had
Restore from backup. That is all you can do. Make sure y look at the date of the backup to see if the media would be in the backup. Maybe you overwrote the backup that contained the data when/if you backed up after the info was deleted form the iPod.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

My iphone just deleted all of my future calendar events and icloud and any other method has failed to bring them back...any help would be great!
Have you checked that all of the calendars were checked, so they displayed? In the Calendar app, select "Calendars" at the bottom and make sure they are all checked. In the IOS Settings, make sure the right accounts are there.

iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar - Apple Support describes, among others, how to make copies of your calendar data. After completing a backup of your calendar data:
1. Open the Calendars Folder in your ~Library Folder, and move any any files with "Cache" listed in the name field to your Desktop.
2. Open the Preferences Folder in the ~Library Folder and move the com.apple.iCal.plist file to the Desktop.
3. Log out/in or restart and open Calendar.
If those three steps not successful, go back to iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar - Apple Support and follow the appropriate steps in order. -
All-Day Events and Birthdays not in notification centre in iOS 7...

I am using iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.4.
All-Day Events and Birthdays are not showing up in the "Today" tab in the notification centre. I have read some articles and majority has the same problem but there are some people who have birthdays showing under date and above weather in "Today" tab in notification centre.
I want them in the same place too! I hope this is possible. I am really upset because of this.
Any help would be appreciated.

My Iphone calendar events are not showing up in iCal when I sync? Syncing has not been an issue till today?
I found this tip from a 2011 discussion on the same topic.
Open iCal and backup or export your entries. Make a note of the fie name and location, you're going to need them in a minute. Once your backup/export is completed, close the iCal application.
Open Finder and remove everything inside the "Username/Library/Calendars" folder. For instance, if your username is "Joe", then move everything inside the "Joe/Library/Calendars" folder.
Open the iSync application. It's located in the "/Applications/" folder. Once iSync is opened, go into the iSync Preferences (iSync -> Preferences) and push/click the "Reset Sync History" button. Then, close the iSync application.
Re-Open the iCal application and Import (File -> Import) a new calendar. When prompted, use your notes from Step #1 to select the file your created earlier. Once completed, close the iCal application (you should have all of your calendar entries back.)
Open the iTunes application and connect your Apple iPhone to the computer.
Within the Advanced section of the Info tab for the Apple iPhone, check the box the overwrites/replaces the Calendar data on the Apple iPhone.
Click the Apple/Sync button. New, modified and deleted entries should now be syncing correctly.
That's it! You should be all set and iTunes, iCal and our Apple iPhone should all be playing nicely as friends again. We've used the exact method to repair our own Apple iPhone at least once... maybe even twice. -
Yikes! After upgrading my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5, I lost my Contacts, calendar entries, and Notes (100+) on my iPhone (3 years old). How do I retrieve them? My last backup/sync to iTunes acct was Sept 18 but yesterday's backup bombed due to lack of space on my C: drive.
This happened to me too but it was really all there. Go to your calendar, click on calendar in the upper left hand corner, click on show all calendars, click done in the right upper corner. Everything should show up!!!
