All clips went off line?

I am working on a two hour project and when the project was just about to be finish every clip went off line. Usually I would be able to get the clips back but this time its weird. These kind of issues makes me wanna trash my computer (j/k). For the past nights I've been up late trying to resolve this problem. What can I do to get all the clips back? Help...please?

This has happened before?
That's not good and it's truly unusual. You have serious drive performance or drive connection issues that you really want to nail down and fix soon.
You have not provided enough information for us to offer much more than speculation.
There have been recent reports of files dissapearing into thin air after doing round-trip work between FCP and Sountrack or LiveType -- the other ProApps bundled with FCS. In fact it happenned to me last week. Nobody has reported a successful re-discovery of their files that I recall seeing. < </div>
We've been seeing this weird behavior since v3.0 started to upgrade. I am not aware of any cause-effect relation ship that has ever been established, they are random event, extremely rare. These disappearing files are random events but they are totally gone; completely unrecoverable. No file or directory reconstruction app can find them or rebuild them.

I had 8 or 10 messages in the drafts folder. I had Thunderbird open when my isp had equipment problems and suddenly went off line on February 19, 2015. When it came back online the next morning all those drafts were gone. Is there some way I can retrieve them? If so, please send directions on how to do it. Thank you for any help you can give me.

The top folder was Local Folders with Inbox, Sent Mail, Drafts, Trash and Archives under it. I had several messages in Archives and they went away when the Drafts messages went. Actually the only folder that wasn't emptied was the inbox. Those messages re-downloaded from the web mail.
What I understand from what you've written is that unless something was done when the mail account was set up, all my mail was on att/yahoo mail and they're the ones that lost my drafts.
If I'm wrong about it being an IMAP account and it was really POP, would that make a difference?

This could be a router issue. Reboot the router, then from the front of the printer: Setup > Network > Reset Network Defaults.
Finally, run the Wireless Setup WIzard from the same Network menu on the front of the printer.

Merged Clips Appear Off Line Yet Are Successfully Linked In CS 5.5

Hi there. I just migrated a feature documentary from an edit suite in a local production company to my home. We're using Adobe Production Premium CS 5.5, I tried to migrate the project using the Project Manager function of premiere. But no matter what combination of options I tried it failed everytime. Huge pain!
Anyway, the whole thing is nearly up and running again - but there is a problem with some of the merged clips. We were shooting on DSLRs, with a Zoom H4N dual audio system. Dual Eyes was then used to synch the clips. Which were then merged with the relevant video files in the various relevant bins.
Here lies the problem, obviously I had to go and relink all the media files. Grand job. Thought I was all done but then I noticed, that when I was linking "merged clips" they weren't coming up properly in the sequences. Like, they were there in the bins. They would appear if double clicked in the source monitor. You could even do an old "in and out" and drag your selection into the sequence, and all the extra Dual Eyes audio synchs would be there and ready for use. But, the ones that were already in the time line were not picking up anything, they were just off line.
I find this stuff hard to explain so attached is a screen grab and some explanation below.
A - Shows the panels with the media successfully linked.
B - Shows it double clicked and opened in the source monitor.
C - Shows where it should be in the time line. But its not linking.

Just tried moving the source files and relinking - no luck what so ever.
Any other ideas?

All photos appearing off-line

All photos in in my Lightroom 5, appearing off-line with question mark next to all folders. I have over 45,000 photos. How can I get everything to show up again. First time this has ever happened.

Your lost iPhone must be powered on and have internet/Wifi access in order to find it by someone who found your iPhone. Power OFF and no internet access would hinder your effort to find a lost IOS device.

IChat shows all my buddies off line but they can still see and message me

So the other day all of my buddies disappeared from my buddy list. This has happened before and I just restarted the program and it was fine. I assumed it was some glitch that appeared after having the program running for a while.
This time I restarted the program and nothing happened.
So all my friends can see and message me, I can change my status, and they can see it. Once I get an IM from them I can have a normal chat. I can log into any service, AIM or even my gmail chat, and I still have this problem.
I haven't changed anything in my preferences or downloaded any new programs.
I updated all software in case that was the problem and restarted. Nothing.
I've been perusing the discussion boards and it was suggested to change the port (to 443). I did this, and again nothing.
Also it suggested deleting com.apple.iChat.AIM.plist and .iChatagent. Both of which I did. And again nothing...
I am going to visit the geniusbar in three days but I would like to fix this before then. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

The information in the app (find my iphone) is misleading. Italing that your device will show its last location for up to 24 hours...

Even if it does show the last location, that is of little value, once the iPhone is off or restored to factory settings it is untrackable. It is best to inform your carrier immediately with the IMEI number so they can blacklist the iPhone, if they will provide that service. Some do, some don't. Apple will not assist other than maintaining their own records of lost/stolen iPhones.

iCloud (http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone on another device) are the only way that you might be able to try and locate it. What iOS version was on it ? If it was on iOS 7 then they won't be able to reset it without your password.
I assume that you've reported it to the police (?). You should also contact your carrier and change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

Media Off-Line

I have read a few threads on the subject of people wanting to find media that went off line or what can be deleted with out harming the project. While all that was helpful, it did not answer all my questions. What I would like to know is if I have found the quicktime files how do I reopen them in Final Cut Express. I tried and it says the media is still off line. I am probably doing something wrong and would be very grateful for an easy step by step explanation.

I will tell you what I did.
I went to file reconnect media and choose one of the quicktime flies off of my scratch drive/disk and after that no errors popped up. However everything in my project still said media offline. So I dragged on of the clips onto the timeline and scrolled through it and the video played in the preview window. However everywhere else it said that the Media was offline even on the timeline while it was playing.
I don’t know if I am explaining this right.

Off line files

When I went to work on my project this morning two things happened: I got a version of my project that's at least two weeks old and a message saying that 23 files went off line. The files were identified as "Sequence 1 Fin 0000004c, 52, 4d," etc. When I clicked on the tab to reconnect the files, a window appeared with all the files for my project and with the names I've given them, not the sequence numbers. None of them are highlighted (or dark or whatever the word is), so I can't click on them to get them rerendered or reconnected.
What do I do?!
Two things that may or may not be relevant:
1) After I finished and saved all my work yesterday, and closed FCP, I pulled out an FCP file from the trash and opened to see what it was. Satisfied, I closed and put it back in the trash. This is what is opening as my current project (actually, this does sound pretty relevant).
2) After the above, I downloaded the latest version of Quick Time.

Presumably you have your preferences set to open the last project file when you launch FCP? This would explain the older project opening.
When FCP opens, just close the (old, unwanted) project and navigate to the current one - if you have difficulty in finding it, use Spotlight.
Once all's working OK again, it would be wise to empty the trash (fcp will sometimes find and use files that are in the trash).
