All contacts showing as one/New bug?

ON Jabber 9.0.2.736 almost all my contacts show up as the same person. But when I try and chat it, gives me the correct person, but still the name shows the same. It also says it for my name as well. Any ideas?

Afer posting, I wanted to clear this up..
Each project has 20 pictures to it, that are being dragged from the finder into iMovie, iMovie randomly selects one image to show as the clip preview, for all 20 images in that project.

Lost all contacts when manually entering new ones, how do I get them back? This is 2nd time this happened

Same thing happened to me this evening. I had 1700 contacts and was editing several contacts adding birthday and anniversay dates. After entering dates successfully into the second contact, I did a search for a third contact and got "no results". That's when I noticed that I had no contacts - not a single one. Tried turning iPad 2 off and then back on - but no joy - zero contacts. Not even an error message or beep or system reset - contacts just disappeared. I suspect they are still on the device, but the Contact app link to the contact database file on solid state hard disk becomes corrupted.
APPLE - This is a HUGE bug that needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY!

- Resyncing with iTunes restored 1752 contacts
- I had recently used (24 hours earlier) "Dup Remover" app which worked beautifully, I which I have used successfully on my iPhone. To be clear - running Dup Remover did NOT cause this problem, but I mention as this loss of contacts may occur as a result of a unique set of actions on iPad 2.

Spry tabbed panels, all content showing on one page, please help?

Hi there,
I'm developing a website for my friend and i'm using DW CS5 spry tabbed panels. Everything looks great in DW but when i load the page to the server all of the content shows as one page and i can't navigate through tabs.http://dndperspective.co.cc/
I'll give you the whole code, I am fairly experienced in html but have never used spry before, so it may be a silly mistake. Any Suggestions?

You called it: your links to the SpryAssets are linking to your hard drive, not to the files within the folder on the server.
Correct these links:

Deleted contacts show up in New Message

If you delete a contact, if you go into Messages and make a New Message (SMS/Text), in TO: if you type the first letter of the contact, it still appears. The deleted contact doesn't show up in the contact list but it does in the New Message (SMS/Text) TO: field.
I did a lot of research here and tried these:
1- Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings
2- Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Keyboard Dictionary
3- Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Location and Privacy
4- Settings -> General -> Spotlight Search -> unchecked Contacts - Mail - Messages - Rebooted iPhone
I did all these and the old deleted contacts still appears in New Message
This is driving me crazy. I have seen another suggestion to
Delete all files in following 2 folders:
/private/var/mobile/Library/Spotlight/com.apple.MobileSMS/
/private/var/mobile/Library/Spotlight/com.apple.SpotlightTopHits/
But my iPhone is not jailbroken and I have not seen any software that can access the /private/var/mobile/Library/ in a non jailbroken iphone.
Any ideas? This is ridiculous that after Reset All Settings, they are still there.

Same iTunes, different iCloud accounts: all contacts lost from one iPhone appeared on the second iPhone

Hello there.
Got following situation:
iPhone A - iTunes Store (Apple-ID) account = [email protected] / iCloud account = [email protected]
iPhone B - iTunes Store (Apple-ID) account = [email protected] / iCloud account = [email protected]
Somehow all contacts in iPhone B disappeared and appeared on iPhone A (together with the ones already existing).
My questions:
what's the cause of this?
how do I get back (iPhone A with only its original contacts, iPhone B with the "disappeared" contacts)?
After I will have put everything back as it was a couple of days ago, I'd change the iCloud email for iPhone A, so that it doesn't match the Apple-ID anymore: do you think this might help?

Thanks for your reply. Somehow after logging into the iCloud account of "iPhone B", the contacts reappered on the iPhone B itself!!! Weird!
Now, I'd still like to do the change for "iPhone A" and move the iCloud login/account away from the Apple-ID: is this achieved by simply disabling iCloud sync and re-enabling it with a different email address? What about the "old" data which would remain on iCloud? Any way to do a "clean" migration here?

All TV shows in one massive list??? What???

When I was on 1.0, my TV shows were categorized beautifully by show. I was a little dismayed that episodes were listed in reverse, but I was living with it. But now, is there any particular reason why they all show up in one massive list based on order of upload to iTunes? I can't figure out how to change it, and I was really hoping that Take 2 would let us choose what order we want to view episodes in. I have to say, I am thoroughly disappointed with the single list of what is now thousands of episodes. I can barely navigate through it. I used to use it every day, but now my ATV collecting dust because I have no interest in using it when it's this inconvenient. I'm tempted to roll back.
I should also add that the episodes are not listed by title. I have the show names listed down the page. So, for eight seasons of Roseanne, I have the word "Roseanne" listed 318 times and I have to highlight one to see what it's about. Did something go wrong in the updating process??

yep you probably have the shows sorted by date... at the top of the screen you will see a blue oblong with the words written "Date" and "Show".. just click the Right/>>| button on the remote to switch to organize the list by show.

All content resyncing when one new thing added

So anyone else having this problem? I saw one problem like this, but that person said they were manually having to start the resync process, and that may have been part of their problem.
In my case, when I add a new movie to my library (File->Add to Library), within a few seconds of adding the new movie, I can see in iTunes that my Apple TV automatically starts the resync process to get the new movie.
The odd part is that it is completely resyncing (or so it appears) all the movies it already had and adding the new movie. Is this normal?

You're right about the priority list, but in my case I only allow movies to sync, so it's one movie replacing another, which as I said makes no sense. If I have 15 movies, and only 10 of them can fit, then ATV adds the 10 it can fit (I have it setup to sync "unwatched" movies). If I later add movie number 16 (but haven't yet watched any of the 10 that got synched) the ATV will potentially decide to remove one of the 10 that were synced and put the newly added movie on ATV instead.
Like I said, if I have a "sync unwatched movies" setup, why does it remove one unwatched movie from the sync and replace it with another? Seems like a lot of needless network traffic. Can't it just leave the 10 "unwatched" movies alone, and as soon as I watch one, it could then replace the "watched" one with one of the other unwatched movies that weren't already synced?

Not all contacts showing in lync 2013 client search for most of the users

i have an issue in searching for contacts in Lync client 2013.
i already set the Global client policy to websearchonly and still not able to see all the contacts.
what should i do else?
we are using:
- windows 7 ent 64bit
- microsoft office 2010 plus 32bit
- microsoft lync basic 32bit
and on the server side:
- windows server 2012 64bit
- lync server 2013

Did you do this check?

enter the sip_<usersipuri> folder
you will find two files
GalContacts.db
GalContacts.db.idx
open the GalContacts.db with notepad, you can find every AD Users and Contacts that Lync consider eligible
for the GAL.
Try to find in this file some Contacts that lync users cannot find. If you cannot find here we've to investigate
more deeply into AD Attributes.

Itunes icon and a USB cable is all that shows on my new Ipad.

I hooked it up to my PC, but it isn't recognized. The manual doesn't explain what to do. Isn't an Ipad supposed to be easy to use? It won't even come on :-(

The received emails should show in two locations:
1. In the All Inboxes tab of Mail.
2. The Inbox for each mail account,
If your emails are not showing in these locations try quitting the mail app and then reset your iPhone.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal.
To reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Combining all line items in one output of material Document...

We have created one new output type for the material document.
If we have multiple line items in the material document, the output must be assigned once in the document. But In our case it is assigning for each of the line item. Can any one help how to handle this issue.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

I had this problem too, I fixed it by going to my settings and under general at the bottom there is a reset option, go there. One of the options should be reset network settings, select that one. I’m not sure why it happens but that worked for me; hope you have the same luck!

What does "I caught my phone 4" mean?
All contacts, calendars, photos etc should be on your computer as the iphone is designed to be synced to your computer.
Just sync them to your new iphone.
