All-day events in iCal become 2-day events on iPhone

Since I updated to 1.1.2, all my all-day events in iCal become 2-day events on the iPhone. Has anyone else had this problem? I can reset the end time on the iPhone, but I have lots of recurring monthly events and it would take forever to do this manually.

I have the very same issue. I solved it once somehow but now it's back. I use Plaxo to sync between Outlook-iCal-iPhone and maybe that somehow has confused the phone. Let me know if you find any solutions. I will do the same.

New all day entry in iCal spans 2 days on iPhone and iPad

I wondered if someone could help me with this. Just recently when I enter a new item into iCal and wait a second it syncs and is fine on the iPhone and iPad and on iCloud online as a timed event. When I then enter the details and select all day event it spans that day and the following day only on the iPhone and iPad not iCloud nor on my Macbook Retina.
I have read about adjusting Time Zone support and have tried numerous settings on all devices including setting all the same and also 'Off' and different combinations of these and makes no change at all.
I hope somebody can help me with this.

i created a smiliar thread on ehre yesterday and then found this post this morning.
I synch via iTunes and all calendar event that are one day are being shown as two days events, noticed this before and just presumed that i had entered them incorrectly it was just the other day that i was scanning through to check on birthdays next month that i noticed them all covering two days. Last night i was changing synch settings an cant get them to sync correctly. I use entourgae for mail,address book and calendar and liek it all being on one so dont really want to revert mal to mail ical and address book. The event show fine in entourage and also in ical where highlighted as entourage dates.
so gonna keep an eye on thi, hope it can be resolved soon

"All-day" events in iCal appear one day early in week-view on iPad

Just got an iPad and synced with iCal. I noticed that "all day" events appear correctly in day-view and month-view, but in week-view, they are shifted one day earlier. But if I choose to edit such an event, the information is still correct, e.g. an all-day event for Monday, May 31 and Tuesday, June 1, has that information, and it appears on Monday and Tuesday in day- and month-view, but in week-view, it has "slid left" such that it appears on Sunday and Monday. Anyone else seeing this? Any solutions?

I have the same issue on all day events synced from Exchange. The items look fine in the day or month view.

How to delete events in iCal on Mac, but not from iPhone

Hi everyone,
I have a reminder set to my phone for something everyday which is great because it's the first thing I look at in the morning. But I don't want this event plastered all over my iCal on my computer as it's unnecessary to see it there. But of course, since I sync my iPhone with this computer, it always ends up there too.
Is there a way to sync only certain events, but not all of them? Sometimes I want to do the opposite, where I need to see a reminder on my computer for work, but don't need it popping up on my phone.

Can't search events in ical older than 1 yr on iPhone 4 since upgrading to OS7

This is a serious flaw. I found myself at Mayo clinic relying on searching my iPhone ical to look up past medical events. But I had upgraded to iOS 7 just B4 going & found SEARCH mode on iCal didn't find any event older than 1 year. Called Apple for help and was told this change came in with the new OS!!! And I asked how I could revert to iOS 6 --- not possible!! iCal on my Mac Air & iCloud show ALL my events. But the search mode on iCal on my phone doesn't show everything iCal saves - only the most recent events. Anybody have a workaround this problem??

Might I suggest something that I do, since I am an AARP member as well, I have created an Adobe document with this information, since I have had several surgeries in the past and then uploaded that into iBooks so I have that on the phone. I can update it as necessary and it keeps me from having to do a lot of searching.

Events on iCal not showing up on my iPhone 4

I downloaded iCloud and synced my iPhone calendar with my calendars on my mac. Before I did not have mobile me, so they were two seperate calendars that I could sync and update when I synced my phone to my computer. Now that I've merged the two together with iCloud I have duplicated events in my iCal on my mac, yet I don't on my iPhone. On my mac it says that I have two seperate calendar types: those On My Mac and those in iCloud. However on my phone it says that I only have those calendars which fall under iCloud. So how can I get rid of the duplicated events on my mac? Should I get rid of the calendars that fall under the category on my mac, and just add everything under the iCloud category?

I finally found another question/discussion with the same problem as I, and was able to fix my problem.

New event in iCal posts before completing event name

I am about to implode...While I am entering the title of a new event, iCal will either delete midstream (while typing), or automatically bring up the edit screen while typing. This began after an upgrade was installed. Also, when trying to move the event, iCal automatically moves the even back to the original time. HELP...before I throw my MacBook out the window!!!!

1. Click on an event.
2. A bar with a dot on then let side, the name of the evet, and a hardly visible small edit button on the right side will appear.
3. Click the edit button: the edit window will open.
4. Scroll down to the large red Delete Event button.
5. Click the Delete button.
New iPad, latest IOS. I do not see the Trash icon mentioned in the other post. Maybe an earlier IOS.

For the last 2 days, I have been having the same problem. I cannot edit ical events on my iphone, specifically those who habe been sync-ed to & from my MacOS (under Mountain lion 10.8) Calendar.
I have reset my sync history on the Mac (running the reset.pl script), but to no effect.
Please help.

re-order the events the way I want them, when they print, they are in a different order.

I also have this issue, where the events in iCal change when viewing in print preview or printing. I even notice they will switch if I try to print again??!!! I am using different calendars to show different colours. and they are setup on iCloud not on my mac.
it is becomign frustrating when I print 2 months worth and ssome events are correct in order and alas some will change when I print again!

Do you have Time Zone support active and set to your time zone on both your Mac (iCal > Preferences > Advanced tab) and the iPhone (Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar)?

All day events created on iPod touch syncing a day late in iCal

Hi everyone,
When I create an all day event on the iPod touch and then sync to my mac, the newly created event shows up a day late in iCal, but remains correct on the iPod. I've noticed one or two other forums where people are having this problem but it doesn't appear to have been solved yet. Has anyone got any ideas about why this would happen? It's really bugging me as the calendar was one of the main reasons I bought the iPod in the first place, I'm thinking about taking it back if I can't get it to work. It appears to be a new problem as of some time this year (judging by other's experience, I've only had mine a week) so perhaps a dodgy software update?

should clarify that I deleted duplicate events on the ipod so that should have left one in ical. there is still one listed in ical on the ipod but not on the computer, so deleting duplicate entry deleted it entirely from my ical on computer and mobile me. no icloud yet

All day events - synching ical with Symbian S60

I guess this must have come up before.....
I cannot find a way of synching all-day events on iCal with my E90. iSync will not sync iCal all-day events across to the E90, just seems to ignore them. I thought I'd be clever and enter all-days as memos on the E90. Fine when it syncs to iCal - they come across OK as all-days in iCal but, when I sync again, the memos get deleted from the E90. Most strange.

All day event in iCal

I am trying to add an 'All day event' in iCal (have tried on the MacBook Pro and iPhone4) for the 7/10/11. This keeps saving over 2 days the 6/10 and 7/10, even if I change the date manually, after saving it reverts back to both days. Have done plenty of other all day events with no issues, not sure why this one is not working.... Any ideas?

Yes, Apple any help for this would be great. The only way I've come to work around is to use multiple events. So for a flight out of town would be one event, and the return another. I would create a third event then for the actual time out of town. There must be some way to easily fix this.

How can I stop iCal displaying a timed event as an all day event?

Since updating to Lion and hence to Mountain Lion when I add a timed event in ical which continues past 04.00 the following morning it is displayed as an all day event covering both days. As I work shifts which involve night turns this is very annoying. It does not happen on iCal on my iPad.
I have tried adjusting settings for start time of day etc to no avail.

Are you using any sync software?
The easiest thing to try is to refresh the the com.apple.iCal.plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, drag the com.apple.iCal.plist file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart, and make sure the deletion preference is not checked.

Can't add all-day events in iCal w/Lion

After Lion 10.7.1 upgrade, I can add an all-day event in iCal on my MacBook but not on my MacBook Air. On the Air an event added with no time just does not appear. On the Air an event added with a time appears, but editing the event and checking the "all-day" box causes the event to disappear.
