'All day' events not syncing correctly

I am using a 9700 Bold and syncing to Outlook 2007 using BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.
'All day' calendar events are synced in both directions when I create them. However, when I delete an all-day event from my BlackBerry and then sync, it is not removed from Outlook.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

What OS version on the device?  Look in Options >About on the 3rd line down and post the full version number.

  • Help - iCal All Day Events Not Syncing on Exchange 2007

When I enter an all day event in iCal it does not sync to my Touch Pro 2 through Exchange 2007. I see the event in OWA and also in Entourage through Sync Services but it simply does not come onto the TP2. All day events entered in Entourage or OWA DO show up in the TP2. Strange but very frustrating because I like to enter my events using Launchbar which works with iCal only.
    I don't think I had this problem with 10.5
    Greatly Appreciate Help.

I've noticed a similar problem. Previously, "all day" events listed correctly in both iCal (on my Mac) and in the calendar on my iPhone. Now, all day events on the iPhone cover the entire day, set to a time of 12 am to 12 pm.
I'm not sure if this is related to 10.6.4 or my recent update to iOS4 on the phone.

  • Outlook 2007 and iPhone Calendar All-Day events not displaying correctly

I recently took the 3.1.3 update for my iphone and have since noticed that syncing all-day events from my Outlook 2007 exchange environment to the iphone is not working correctly. The all-day flag on the iphone is not being checked, thus the event shows up all over the calendar instead of just a single item at the top of the calendar. This only happens for multi-day events. Single-day, all day events show fine. Here's the tests I did:
    1. Created a single day, all-day event for tomorrow June 18 in Outlook 2007. Made sure that they all-day checkbox was checked in Outlook. Waited for the sync and it shows up fine in iPhone calendar. There is a single line at the top of the "Day" view that lists the event. When you look at the event, the all-day checkbox is checked in iphone calendar.
    2. Next I updated the event in Outlook to make it a multi-day, all day event. I changed the end date to be June 19. I made sure to leave the all day checkbox checked in Outlook. Once synced, the all day checkbox on the iphone is now unchecked and as a result the event takes up the whole "Day" view for both days.
Is there a solution for this? Only seen this since I updated to the 3.1.3 firmware. All events show up the right way in Outlook. It is only the iPhone calendar that shows them wrong. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Same problem here.
All Day events entered in Outlook 2007 on my work machine that have ALL DAY checked and are only on that ONE Day, seem to come out fine. If however we have an all-day event that goes multiple days, then it enters it on my iphone taking up 00:00-00:00, which is very messy if you have two ALL-day envents on the same day (when tracking different personnel for example).
I have noticed the real annoying item though is that changing it on my iPhone 4 directly, that once I put in the right start and end dates, and choose ALL DAY, about 5 seconds later it actually changes the START DAY! This makes you go back to change the start day, then it changes the end day so you change that, and now finally all sorted.
This NEVER happened on my iPhone3G that I have used with Excahgne for over two years now. Only since I got my iPhone4.
    PLEASE Apple, fix this!!!!

  • All day events not appearing on iMac,Iphone or web. But does for iPad!

I have a subscription to 'iTunes on sale' - link below.
It lists iTunes vouchers that are on sale over a period of days.
I can see the entries, or all day events, on my iPad calendar, but not on my iMac, iPhone or me.com calendar!

  • Repeating long all-day events not shown in second portion of week view

When I create a long all-day event spanning from a Wednesday to the following Tuesday, I can see it in both the first and second week views that it spans. For example, I created an event spanning from Jan 9, 2008 (Wed) to Jan 16, 2008 (Tue). It is visible in both week views, i.e. from Jan 6-12, and Jan 13-19.
However, when the event is set to be a repeating one, it disappears from the second week view, Jan 13-19. The event is still visible on the Jan 6-12 week view. When the event has its repetition removed, it is immediately visible in the second Jan 13-19 week. There is some bug in the week view that apparently screws up repeating all-day events that do not begin on the week being viewed.
A fix on this would be greatly appreciated. Anyone else notice this?
Everything is normal on the month view.

I have exactly the same problem. I work a 21 week pattern of days off and on over a 17 day period, ending with a random 28 day block. So every 147 days I repeat that 28 day block named "random".
However, when the random block spans to the following month the entry is viewable up to the last day displayed in the month view but step forward to the next month and the entry cannot be seen.
Example: All day event starting on 16th Apr 2008 until 13 May 2008, custom repeat every 147 days (never end), appears in April month view up to May 4th. Step forward to May, which includes from April 28th and nothing is displayed.
Yet if it is not a repeat event it spans correctly!
I'm relatively new to OS X and can't remember for sure but I thought Tiger handled it correctly?
    Can anybody confirm this?

  • IPhoto events not syncing correctly with iPhone

    Hello,
Basically, my iPhoto events are not syncing correctly with my iPhone. Some events will sync, whereas others won't, though no error messages are ever displayed.
I have all my photos, 961 photos in 34 events, organised in iPhoto, however iTunes doesn't seem to recognise all of these events, only reporting 881 photos. I've got iTunes set up to "Sync photos from iPhoto - All events" and this works for most events, but not all.
On my iPhone, I can tell which events are missing, but no matter how many times I restart my Mac or sync my iPhone, it refuses to sync the few missing albums. There is over 4Gb of available space left on the iPhone, so this shouldn't be an issue.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Peter.

Any ideas, please? I hope I explained my issue clearly enough.
    Thank you,
    Peter.

  • Old All-Day events not showing in Calendar List View

Reviewing events in my Calendar on the iPhone and have noticed that All Day Events that are older than one year do not show in the "List" view
For example, I have all my holidays in a calendar called "Vacation". Month and Day view list holidays from earlier than today (09 Sept 2008) properly, however list view shows nothing. Timed events (e.g. day trips) in the same calendar show.
Similarly no Birthdays appear in the past. I can see a case for Birthdays being omitted in the past, but not other events (e.g. wanting to know exactly when you went to that all day wedding last summer)

I have this same exact problem. For me, past events that have a specific time associated with them show up in List view; however, past events that are all day events only show in List view once in a blue moon only. Apple support has been absolutely clueless about this issue. They just tell me it's weird and they have no explanation. It's unbelievably annoying though.

  • All day events not showing up in iCal

On my iMac I cannot enter an all day event in iCal.  All day events entered via my iPhone or Mobile Me also do not show up on the iMac.  Just upgraded to Lion, no problem before this!

    Hi Linda,
Open iCal and from the View menu check that Show All-Day Events is checked.
    Best wishes

  • All day event not appearing in month view

If I know there is an all day event on a day and I click into it from month view it is there. But for some reason I cannot see any of them from moth view. There is no colored or gray bar indicating an event.
There is one in week view. And if there is a timed event it appears in month view.
In a separate, and puzzling, event I lost all my events. Putting them back in, but not sure if this happened with 1.4 or new Facebook update.

There is an old thread on this issue. Its by design that all day events do not show up in month view and not a bug. Many users (myself included) would like this to change. I suggest using the feedback and feature request page to let them know.

  • All-Day-Events Not affecting Availability

    Hi All,
We have iCal server setup on 10.5.4 and I've come across a bug in the iCal client (3.05).
If someone has created an event and checked it as All-Day, that event will not affect that users availability if someone else tries to add them as an attendee.
I have checked the option on for each calendar (Get Info) that "Events Affect Availability". Other events do affect availability, just not events flagged as "All Day".
Any ideas? Or is it still a bug in 10.5.5 (also happened in 10.5.4)?
    Thanks in advance!

In the iCalendar data format used to represent the event information, there is a TRANSP property that can indicate whether a specific event contributes to freebusy or not. By default iCal makes timed events appear as busy, and all-day events appear as free (transparent). There is no way in iCal itself to change that. The only workaround when using iCal is to create a timed event that blocks out 24 hours.

  • Calendar/All Day Event NOT SHOWING ANYMORE!!

First of all this is the reason why I bought a BB. When I got the phone in Sept all of  my All Day Events would pop up first thing in the morning and not go away until I dismissed them. Now, don't know what has happened my all day events do not pop up anymore! This is really really bad.  For unorganized people like myself this option was the sole reason why I bought this phone and I need to have this back!
And also, how frustrating is it that they don't have a customer support number where you can talk to an expert to resolve your problem.  Thank god I am slightly computer savy.
    Can anyone please help!!!
    Thanks

I also lost most of my birthdays that I laboured to set up in my address book contacts. Can anyone please help on these disappearing calendar events?

  • Long "All-Day" Event not showing in 2nd month

All-Day events that begin before the last week in a month do not show up in the next month.
    Example: 3/29/2008 to 4/17/2008 (OK)
3/27/2008 to 4/17/2008 (event doesn't show at all in April)

    I see the same problem.
Shows properly on the web version if you publish.
I am also seeing iCal crash A LOT when entering all day events that cover long periods repeated every year (never end). Entering data for vegetable planting dates for my area; e.g. peppers - March 25 - April 10 set as all day repeated yearly never ending.
Reported to Apple; hopefully, both will be addressed in a future update....

  • All Day Event not Shown as busy.

Hi when i make a all day event for somebody. It is not recognised as not avalible that day when i try to make a other appointment.

iCal does not provide a way to make an all-day event block your free time, though the underlying data format (and the server) does support that ability. If you want such a capability in iCal please file a report against iCal for that feature.

  • TS1638 Multi-day appointments not sync correctly with iPad and iPhone from Outlook 2007

Single day appointments I have in Outlook 2007 will sync properly. Repeated appointments i.e. ones that  are several consecutive days sync 24 hours ahead or one day out. It can't be a time zone issue because single day appointment syncs correctly.

  • Outlook 2003 "whole day" events not synced properly

    Hi everybody
I just figured out a little problem with some calendar entries:
    The following:
I have some birthdays in my calendar, for example one on 1979/04/07 it's entered as a "whole day" (i run my PC in German so I don't know the proper term in English) event and a series-type starting in 1979, taking place every year from then on. Because she is born then...
After syncing the the iPhone, the event in the iPhone calendar starts on the 7th of April but only on 2300h and ends on the 8th of April on 2300h. The event is not of the "whole day" type.
What I did figure out so far, was that if i do not start the "appointment" in 1979 it is, indeed, synced properly. But that is not really what i want.
Another, starting 1980/06/27, similar properties, works just fine...
Any idea? Are there some fellows of Apple's in this forum?
My timezone on the PC is GMT+1 (Zurich) and on the iPhone as well.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Jason
I just tried a whole bunch of possibilities, but none of them works. It seems that the problem only occurs with appointments during the daylight savings time. But unfortunately not with all between march and october...
But, got it: Just studied the introduction of daylight savings time in Switzerland and figured the key issues out.
DST was introduced in 1941 and abandoned after '42. Reintroduction took place in 1981 only.
Thus all the appointments before introduction of DST in my calendar ar shifted by one hour.
I think this might be a bug in the iPhone since they are right in Outlook...
Anybody an idea how to get this to Apple's developers?
    Thx a lot
