  • All Day/Recurring Events showing a day early

    Hello,
    We recently deployed about 200 iphones and have been noticing that some people are experiencing an issue where only their all day or recurring all day events are showing on day early on their phone, while showing correctly in outlook.
    I've done searches on the forums, but have not seen anything that was recent or applied to our situation. We do not allow users to sync to iTunes, and we have checked that time zones are matching.
    If anyone has experienced and resolved this, it would be appreciated

  • Select multiple days for recurring event?

    Hi,
    I have a recurring event (days when I am scheduled to work) at various days throughout each month- not recurring on a regular basis. It's tedious to select each day and then enter "on call" for each day. I'm looking for some way to select multiple days throughout the month and then have that same event entered for all of them. Perhaps with automator or an applescript? Thanks.

    Hi Arthur,
    It would be quite possible to write a solution to this problem with Applescript. If you're interested in this option go to www.nhoj.co.uk and send me an email.
    Best wishes

  • Recurring Events not gets all data in a given month in C#

    Help me about this. I cannot get all the records of recurring events in Calendar. Even using <Month> ,<Year>. it doesn't give the all records. that happens when adding no end date of recurrence.
    ex. i want to filter all records on the 10-01-2018 by its month but it appears like in different result range of date. cause i've tried creating an event in calendar with recurrence of Daily weekday=true and no end date. then i don't why it doesn't give the
    correct result and just tried this date as sample.

    Hi,
    Per my understanding, you might want to get all the recurring events within a specific month using C#.
    Here is working code demo about getting recurring events by month for your reference:
    public static void getRecurringEvents()
    using (SPSite site = new SPSite("http://sp"))
    using (SPWeb web = site.RootWeb)
    SPQuery query = new SPQuery();
    query.ExpandRecurrence = true;
    query.Query = "<Where><DateRangesOverlap><FieldRef Name=\"EventDate\" /><FieldRef Name=\"EndDate\" />" +
    "<FieldRef Name=\"RecurrenceID\" /><Value Type=\"DateTime\">" +
    "<Month />" +
    "</Value></DateRangesOverlap></Where>";
    //get the events in the specific months
    query.CalendarDate = DateTime.Now.AddMonths(-1);
    SPListItemCollection calendarItems = web.GetList("/Lists/Calendar1").GetItems(query);
    foreach (SPListItem item in calendarItems)
    Console.WriteLine(item["Title"] + ": starts "
    + item["EventDate"].ToString() + " and ends "
    + item["EndDate"].ToString());
    It will return all the recurring events of last month:
    Thanks

  • Outlook recurring events not showing in calendar

    Syncing my iPhone to MS Exchange.
    I see in Outlook 2010 calendars, all the recurring events I have.
    In particular, I see some birthdays in the current week, but on my iPhone 4s, running IOS 5.1, I only see a couple.
    More explicitly, there are 2 birthdays on the day that I am writing this question, only one shows on the iPhone.
    Also, one for tomorrow does not show, nor does an anniversary 2 days after that.
    There is no obvious reason for some to show and others to not show.
    Additionally, birthdays do not show up in 'Day' view, only in 'List' and 'Month' view.
    I have tried deleting my Exchange account and re-adding it.
    I have changed all birthdays from 'Private' to 'Normal' confidentiality
    I have tried editing events which don't show on the iPhone, in an attempt to make them appear.
    I can see appointments I create on the iPhone, in Outlook within seconds.
    I delete a test appointment in Outlook and it will disappear on the iPhone.
    I am at a loss.
    An explanation, or preferably, a fix, would be appreciated.
    EDIT:
    I found that 'recurring events which are ALL Day Events' do not show on the iPhone.
    However, I can search for the event and find it, even though it does not display!

    Yes, all of my recurring events that do sync were created years ago in Outlook and I had no problem syncing them to my Blackberry Bold way back when. Initially when I got my iphone 4, everything synced both ways and then this year I got an iPad and intitally everything synced with it via iTunes/outlook with no problem. I've only noticed this problem within the last month or so and it drove me crazy. I reset both my ios devices but I refuse to uninstall and reinstall Outlook or iTunes. I've seen tons of posts on here that say it afffects the cloud, exchange servers and itunes so it's not just us. I've sent feedback to Apple and received no response. Others have too. Apple is aware of it and doesn't have a clue what to do about it. It now affects other events for me so I'm thinking maybe it has to do with default reminders and other things between Outlook and the ios devices. Maybe and update to iTunes or ios6 will change that, who knows. I still love my iPhone and would't go back to Blackberry; it's just way to slow for me.

  • Help, Recurring Event WON'T Edit or Delete

    I've read the threads about the slow iCal, or SBOD, or not responding. I've tried deleting the plists, backing up then restoring the calenders. I've made all my recurring events end at a date instead of never.
    I think I have the problem narrowed down to one event. If I have the calender that this event is in deselected, iCal runs like a champ, no SBOD, no slow downs, just like the good old days. If I have that calender selected, even if it's the only one, SBOD with every input, takes to long to change month or anything. If I try to edit, or delete this event SBOD for as long as you can wait. If it happens to go away, nothing has happened. "The end on date" still has no were to input the date or if you tried to delete it it's still there.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have installed all updates so I am up to date (kinda redundant)
    Thanks again.

    Ferd, You are a life saver. In  response to you suggestions.
    1) Folder did not exist on my HD. Must have been deleted at some past update.
    2) tried and tried again to no avail. Even deleted the iCal folder in HD/Users/Name/Library/Caches and it still didn't help.
    3)And the angels rejoiced. Had to go back to April 2001 and it took about 3 Min. of the SBOD before it happened but Waa-Lah. The evil event is dead. No spinning ball, no freeze ups, and even with all my calendars selected (10 of them) I can switch between months, events, days, views, whatever just like I used to.
    For anyone reading this that is having a slowdown issue with iCal, It was 1 repeated event out of many that caused the problem. I knew which one it was because if I selected it in Month View I got the SBOD for about 20 sec. every time. If I selected another event, that event highlighted immediately.
    Good Luck All and
    Thanks Again.

  • AppleScript and Recurring Events

    I'm trying to create an AppleScript that will, essentially, e-mail every event for the week to Remember The Milk so that, on the iPhone, I can pull up Appigo's To Do and get an overview of everything I have to do for the day-- both RTM tasks and iCal events. For all non-recurring events, I'm in great shape.
    The problem, of course, is the way iCal handles recurring events and start dates. Because it considers the start date to be only the first occurrence of a recurring event, they're excluded when start dates are used to get only those events that occur within a specific timeframe.
    I can get all of my recurring events rather easily (although if anyone knows of better way than +...whose recurrence is not ""+ I'd be in your debt), but I don't want to sync every instance of the event. When regular appointments are canceled/rescheduled, I don't want to have to change them in multiple locations.
    Is there a way to get AppleScript to work with only a single occurrence of a recurring event? (Or, preferably, several single occurrences, considering that I've got anywhere between ten and thirty recurring events, depending on the week.)
    I had the thought of, before syncing every week, deleting any previous occurrence of a recurring event, but the script prompts me for the number of days I want to sync each time it runs, and I can foresee wanting to sync two or three weeks at a time, in which case simply deleting the event doesn't really solve the problem anyway.
    null

    Several lines of the “broken” script seem to be badly written, for example:
        set root_Folder to rootFolder as alias -- rootFolder instead of root_Folder
        set events_Folder to events_Foler as alias -- Foler instead of Folder

  • Outlook connector shows some deleted recurring events

    We discovered an oddity that appears to be with the way Outlook shows a recurring event (seems to be an interpretation problem while reading and partially while writing). I'm using the connector from 139162-03 in either Outlook 2003 or 2007 set to sync calendar events every 1 minute and SCS6u2 on the backend with patches from around 2 months ago.
    Simplest way to reproduce:
    - On either a Sun web interface or in Outlook, create an event that recurs daily for 2 instances (or any equivalent way of making it recur twice, such as by setting the end date)
    - If you delete the second instance from the Web, Outlook will display it fine (given ample time to sync up completely).
    - If you delete the second instance from Outlook, the Web will display it fine, but the second instance will reappear in Outlook
    - Considering the previous two lead to a difference while the result on the web looks the same, there is probably a difference in the ICS for those events on the server but I have not checked.
    - Similar things hold true for deleting certain days of the even when recurring more than 2 times.
    - If only the original recurrence is modified, the deleted recurrence re-appears in Outlook with similarities to the original event, not the one that was deleted.
    - I'm not 100% sure on most of the behavior description since I may have been confused by changes that have not completely propagated through yet, but one thing I am sure of is a 2 day recurring event will have the second instance show back up pretty soon if the second instance is deleted in Outlook.
    Initially I'm wondering if anyone else can reproduce this. We will most likely take it up with Sun's support soon but I thought I would try here first. Thanks.

    I was able to find two recently created bugs which I assume are related to problem behaviour:
    bug #6874243 - "deleted instances of a recurring series are still visible in OC"
    bug #6883111 - "Moving an instance of a recurring event with attendees actually moves the first instance"

  • Recurring event times wrong by 1 hr only in iOS calendar

    I just noticed that all my recurring events seemt to be one hour later in the Calendar app on my iPhone (iOS 5.1). In the iCloud calendar (on the web site) the times are correct.  I don't know if this happened right after the recent "spring forward" daylight savings time change, or right after the update to iOS 5.1.
    All my other events are showing the correct time. Only the recurring events are shifted one hour to the future in the iOS calendar.
    Is anyone else seeing this problem? Any ideas for a fix?
    (And, before you ask, my iPhone has the correct time zone setting and is configured to automatically set the time; and I haven't left my timezone in over two months.)
    Dave Hein

    I found the problem. When the tasks were initially created, I did not have Time Zone Support turn on in iCloud (the website) or on my iPhone or in iCal on my Mac.  The events were all created over the winter, not during daylight savings time.
    I turned on Time Zone support in iCloud, on my iPhone, and in iCal. That did not fix the problem. But I noticed that, in iCloud, when I turned on Time Zone support, the initial time zone it selected was "Central Standard Time".  But I'm now in Central Daylight Time; so I tried setting the time zone (using the little popup map widget is tricky!) and found I could also set the Time Zone to "Central Time" -- no 'daylight' or 'standard' distinction. So I set it to Central Time.
    Still no joy.  But then, still in iCloud Calendar, I double clicked on one of the offending events and in the set of properties display was now a Time Zone property ... and it was still set to Central Standard Time.  So I went into each event that was at the wrong time and changed the time zone from Central Standard Time to Central Time.
    My guess it that "Central Time" is a time zone designation that means it will automatically switch between standard time and daylight savings time.
    So, everything is working again. Hope this helps someone.

  • Why are some of my recurring events not synching with my calendar on my ipad2?, Why are some of my recurring events not synching with my calendar on my ipad2?

    I use multiple calendars and one of them includes all my recurring events such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc. That calendar shows as included in my iCloud and it seems that all of the events synch with my iPhone, but very few of the recurring events synch with my iPad2. I can't identify any difference between those that do synch and those that don't.
    Any suggestions??

    Did you try to deselect all apps, sync to remove them all.
    If you where able to remove all of them, sync them back.
    Resetting the sync history in iSync may also be helpful.

  • Outlook 2010 subscribed internet calendar recurring event problem -- missing recurring events

    Hi --
    In Office Outlook 2010, I'm subscribed to my wife's google calendar via subscribed internet calendars.  A few weeks ago, I noticed that recurring events weren't appearing.  I deleted the subscription, and resubscribed, with no luck.  (All
    her other appointments and events were there, but not the recurring ones - including new scheduled events she had just added.)
    At the same time, I did the same thing in Office Outlook 2013, (on another computer), and all the recurring events were there.
    So the problem isn't with the feed, but somewhere in MS Office Outlook 2010.
    Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Please make sure the latest patches and service packs are installed for your Outlook 2010. Since the issue doesn’t happen in Outlook 2013 on another computer, the Internet Calendar URL should be OK for opening.
    Please refer to the following article to create a new Outlook profile and restart Outlook in Safe mode to have a try:
    https://support.office.com/en-za/article/I-can-t-start-Microsoft-Outlook-2010-or-2013-or-receive-the-error-%E2%80%9CCannot-start-Microsoft-Office-Outlook-Cannot-open-the-Outlook-Window%E2%80%9D-d1f69da6-b333-4650-97bf-4d77bd7abb85
    If the issue doesn’t happen in safe mode, the issue may be caused by any third-party add-ins, please disable then enable the add-ins in Outlook One by One to confirm the issue cause.

  • ICal can't sync recurring events to Exchange 2013

    My iCal on my MacBook keeps crashing when trying to sync recurring events...
    Upon adding the Exchange account all events sync but after a while there pops up a message saying:  "iCal can't save the event *Event Name* to the exchange server"
    I tried to Revert to Server and tried Try again but all of that didn't help. After a ignoring all the popups from all the recurring events my calendar won't synchronize at all anymore..
    We have had no problems about a month ago when all was still running on Exchange 2010 so i think that might have to do something with it.
    I'm currently running the latest version of iCal and also the latest version of OS X Mountain Lion.
    Anyone got any ideas how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

    I have same issue to the tee! (Mac Pro 2008 running OS 10.8.5).

    Do you use MobileMe and an iPhone? If yes, do this in the following order:
    Mac:
    (1) back up the applications giving you problems
    iPhone
    (1) Open settings, then open "mail, contacts, calendars"
    (2) Open .Mac account
    (3) Turn OFF the applications that are causing problems
    (4) When you turn off on of the applicatios, a red sign "stop syncing" will appear. Press it. A msg will appear "turning off xxx"
    (5) Get out of settings
    (6) Don't do anything for about 20 mins. Don't touch your iPhone or your Mac. (syncing needs time to settle down)
    After 20 minutes...
    Mac:
    (1) Open each application that is giving you problems. Fix errors. Back up.
    (2) Do this for each application
    iPhone
    (1) Open settings, then open "mail, contacts, calendars"
    (2) Open .Mac account
    (3) Slide switch to ON for each app you turned off; there won't be a msg
    (4) Get out of settings
    (5) Via MobileMe, syncing will start again.
    Wait about 20 minutes, again. You should see all in order after that. At least, that was my experience.

  • Annoying bug: Recurring events ends one day to soon

    Hi!
    My calendar is stored in an Microsoft Exchange account on Office365. In order to make it available to my wife, I publish it using the iCalendar format (ICS). However, with iCalendar all recurring events ends one day short. An event recurring three times only occurs twice and so on.
    When I sync my iPad och iPhone with both the Exchange account and the ICS, it shows up correctly for the Exchange calendar but wrong for the ICS. It is the same calendar, it just ends up in different ways on my iOS device. As the difference is clearly visible, I can't consider this to be nothing but a bug.
    Anyone with a workaround?
    Best regards,
    Jonas
