All default apps gone

Hey guys. Very new to this. Just got the playbook from the Devcon and it was preloaded with beta 2.0. I did a security wipe but I did not create a back up. What happen is when it rebooted, every app is gone even the default ones. I tried borrowing another's developer's playbook and creating a backup and restoring it on mine. That didn't work as well as I tried to switch device. Hope anyone can help?

Are you wanting to reload the OS2 beta, or the OS 1.0.7?

All Mobile Apps gone from iTunes - Still on mobile devices.

When installing Lion and Cloud the other day the Cloud folks at Apple took me through a laborious provess of changing my Apple ID. Hours on the phone.
For many years my Apple ID has been my everyday email address .... now I was being told I must change it and create a new me.com account. I refused because I already had a me.com account and wanted to use that. This took a bunch of hours on the phone to get my mobile devices cloud synching with my current me.com account rather than having some wild new yet another me.com account and Apple ID. All got in sync finally ... that is my calendars, notes, and contacts.
So, now I acquire an app using iTunes on the computer. All my Apps are now missing in iTunes and the new one is dimmed in iTunes and does not sync to my Mobile device. Obviously, even though Apple said different ID's was OK and.would not affect anything... I believe having 2 Apple ID's is the root of this problem.... maybe not.
My store Mac purchases still, I believe, uses my original ID as does my music. Having to create multiple ID's ts not new. Several years ago when iTunes was relatively new I was asked to create another Apple ID for the iTunes Store and the 2 ID's raised havock placing song purchases here and there... it took months to get that corrected. So, I screamed when told I again had to change my devices to a second, me.com Apple ID... having one for some things another for others. That's a catastrophy waiting to happen... if ever there was one.
So... apps are acquired.... they remain dim in iTunes and all my apps in iTunes are gone. They all remain on my mobile devices.
I will not give up my domain name email address I have used for years and years... and should not have too! I'm sure others want to reatain their domain mane email addresses for daily use as well.

Well I feel like a real idiot because I just realized my problem is that Applications was no longer checked in my Preferences to Show. For some reason the update unchecked it, plus it wants to run the Setup every time I start now.
But at least my Apps are there.
I do have the manual, btw. Thanks.

All downloaded apps gone?

After update to Nokia Belle, all downloaded apps are gone including some paid apps? How I can get them back?

On my C6-01 I went to the settings section, went into to be installed and all of my apps where there waiting to be installed. Keep in mind that some of the apps don't run on Belle. The only ones I really miss are Nokia Bubbles and an app that kept the screen from timing out.

All default apps crashes!!!!

i have an iphone4...but for no apparent reason...almost all the default apps like safari,mail,youtube,photos and camera crashes whenever i open them...i tried rebooting but they still crash...can somebody...anybody help me?cos this *****!-.-

There is no such thing as "rebooting" on iOS. Try to Reset your device.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first).
If that doesn't help, do a Restore.

How can I reset all defaults app associated to file type?

I recently used the "Info" command to associate all ".eps" files to open with Photoshop. This caused my Illustrator EPS files to also open with Photoshop. How can I revert to the original finder settings so I can have the defaults apps like before?

All purchased apps gone over night

This morning I had a bad surprise: all user-installed apps have disappeared! I only see the iOS basic apps. I have my iPhone operating under iOS5 with wifi sync enabled. itunes on the Mac shows all the apps selected for sync, but does not show any folders any more. So both - on iphone and in itunes - I do not see the setting of the day before. What has gone wrong and maybe more important: how to restore the yesterday state of my phone??? (i don't want to recreate all the screen settings and folders by hand)

Had something similar to this happen to me on not one but two devices today. On my iPhone 4 and a iPad2. Out of the blue I noticed that about half of my apps on both devices were gone. No clue what happened. Neither devices was plugged into power at the time and I had not initiated a sync or made any changes... Half my apps and folder/screen organization were just gone.
I got my devices back in order (after several hours) by connecting the device directly to my iMac, doing a restore, and allowing iTunes to restore from my backup. Several hours later I had everything back to normal. I've now disabled wifi sync. I'm pretty sure they have a bug here someplace... Good luck.

Try going to file-devices-restore from backup, if you dont have a backup then you may redownload past purchases (movies, music, apps, etc) from their respective stores by visiting "purchased" section.

Ipad 2 restored itself, all apps gone

Got my ipad 2 16GB WIFI on release date and have problems after version update from 4.3.1. First problem was the ipad frozen with black screen and white apple logo in the middle. I had to plug into itunes and do a restore. logged on my facebook on 7th May 2011 looking for help.
After the restore the next problem was even worse. all my apps were gone and ipad was reset itself to its manufacture setting happened on 10th May 2011 also logged on facebook.
after version 4.3.3 update the same problem keep on happening, with all my apps gone and ipad reset to manufacture setting. comment on facebook on 17th May 2011. This time with a message ; 'connect to itues'
Needs some help here please.

In the Advanced tab of iTunes' Preferences what is the time and date of the backup you used for the restore? It sounds like you have a backup that does not contain your dat and such. It may be that when you were having trouble updating a backup was made. Looking at the date might provide some information.

Are the Apps still in your iTunes library? If they are simply make sure they are configured to sync to your iPod still. See this article for more details.

My 4g ipod no longer shows the default apps on

hey all,
i have a big problem : i wanted to update my ipod touch 4g to the newest fw 4.3.4 but i always get the error 3194.
i tried the solving problems like it says on the apple site, but they don't work.
Now i wanted to go to my settings, but then i realized that all default apps like stocks,youtube,clock and even music and videos are gone.
so i wanted to search afer them on search function, but they seem to be gone.
i typed a name of a song ('cause all songs and videos from my library are on my iPod) and clicked at one, but it says :

i don't know what to do now please help someone...

All my default apps disappeared, how did that happen?

I was just deleting some unuseful Apps through iTunes, after syncing all my default apps are gone, even my "settings" icon.
On my iTunes, the summary of my iphone indicated that there are 88 apps, but when i count it, there's just 79.
Help, anyone?

What version of iPhoto? Of the OS? what do you see when you launch iPhoto? What has recently changed?

1. I have jailed break my iphone and I never purchased any apps from itunes
2. I have some important infomation saved in one of the apps called "awesome notes". How can I get it back? Is it store inside my computer? if so, how can i restore?

alrite. I have made my mistake. I should not jail break my iphone. So if I purchase my apps again from itunes is that mean mean my data will be back?
I hope you guys can giv me some support here since I am Apple genuine buyer. I could be wrong last time and now I turn over a new leaf and learn a lesson.

The first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device or to set up the iPhone as a new iPhone.
The former does as provided - it transfers the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the iPhone replacing all data on the iPhone that is included with the backup being transferred. The latter does nothing allowing you to make your various selections for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
This is designed to be done right away with a new iPhone.
If you don't have a backup for the iPhone with iTunes on your computer and don't have an iCloud backup that hasn't been updated since choosing to transfer the backup for your iPod Touch to the iPhone, the data that was on the iPhone is gone.
