All dialog processes on AS in "roll-in" state

Hi guru, on 1 Application server all dialog processes are in "roll-in" state. Only one dialog process has as table "ADOPCODE-41".
The user of single dialog process is  customer user. For example rossig ( surname+ first letter of name).
The  customer user can't do login. The apllication server is in hung state.
All for 10 minutes.
I have got release SAP R3 4.7.
Help me
Thank you
MC

Hi,
Problem may be with the SAP Kernel in use. Have you upgraded your SAP Kernel ?
Post dev_w0, dev_w1 logs.
Value of rdisp/roll_SHM parameter of your application server?
If more than 50% of total Work processes stay in "Roll-In" status, then the problem may be with the existing Memory Configuration.

  • How do I prevent all dialog processes in SM50 from being occupied?

    Hi experts,
I have set rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp = 4 and I still saw all dialog processes got occupied.
(PS: This screenshot is captured after a few minutes). Anyway, how do I prevent all dialog processes in SM50 from being occupied?
    Should I increase rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp ( = 4 now ) and rdisp/wp_no_dia ( = 18 now ) to a higher value?

    Hi Gaurav & Nick,
If I understand correctly, there are 4 dialog processes running and 14 RFC running at the same time.
If I want to resolve this problem, I need to reduce paralellism of RFCs and increase dialog work processes, right? Here is my new configuration. Any thoughts?
    new parameters:
    rdisp/wp_no_dia = 20
    rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp = 10
    rdisp/rfc_check = 3
    old parameters in profile:
    rdisp/wp_no_dia = 18
    rdisp/wp_no_btc = 13
    rdisp/wp_no_enq = 0
    rdisp/wp_no_spo = 2
    rdisp/wp_no_vb = 5
    rdisp/wp_no_vb2 = 2
    rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp = 4
rdisp/rfc_check = DEFAULT  (DEFAULT is 2, ASYNC and SYNC RFC)

  • Process Chain remote execution locks up (All Dialog Processes used up)

    Hi,
We have the following task at hand. We kick in BW process chain execution via RFC from our R/3 system using the function described below. What happens is that the process chain does get kicked in the remote BW system, but it quickly locks up. System monitor  says that all dialog process have been utilized. So, basically it gets stuck in the beginning of the process chain. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?
    Here is the function call:
This function triggers execution of process chain
    (on the remote BW system)
      CALL FUNCTION 'RSPC_API_CHAIN_START' DESTINATION p_rdest
        EXPORTING
          i_chain             = p_pchain
      I_T_VARIABLES       =

How many work process did you configured in SOLMAN, what is the action that CSMUSER is busy with?
I think CSMREG is a communicatino user to satellite agents and check the RZ21--> AGENT status.

  • SAP job not using all dialog processes that are available for parallel processing

    He Experts,
The customer is running a job which is not using all the dialog processes that are available for parallel processing. It appears to use up the parallel processes (60) for the first 4-5 minutes of the job and then maxes out about 3-5 processes for the remainder of the job.
How do I analyze the job to find out the issue from a Basis perspective?
    Thanks,
    Zahra

    Hi Daniel,
    Thanks for replying!
    I don't believe its a standard job.
I was thinking of starting a trace using ST05 before the job. What do you think?
    Thanks,
    Zahra

  • All BW dialog processes occupied while loading

    Hi,
All dialog processes (9) in BW are occupied at loading from the SCAPPTSEG table in CRM.
We do not have any problem with other loads.
Has anybody a solution for this?
    rgds,
    Marcel

    Hi Van,
Its not a good practice to kill the job in production.
First check if the PID for that particular process is progressing or waiting for the gate way of some other reason.
this you can check in SM50 - local work process overview of the systems.
Also check for the system log in SM21 transaction...
check if there are any short dumps...
capture all the inforamtion and check with BASIS if the PID is processing or not and if not processing and HUNG you can take help of BASIS to Kill the PID. the process will be terminated.

  • FM to get the RFC Dialog Process Status

    Hi All,
1.I am using Parallel processing concept in ABAP to process the data in chunks by creating tasks.
2.I want to track the information about the tasks that has been generated by the main program.
3.Is there any FM which gives information about the PID, status of the dialog process under which the task is running ?
Any help on this would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Babu Kilari

You can get the PID using the  FM TH_GET_OWN_WP_NO . this will give the WP of the process in which this FM is called.
Try this one also TH_WP_DETAIL_INFO . It gives more details

  • Dialog process (loading)

    Hello,
We have upgraded the system to BW2004s. Now when loading fom cube to cube. We get 2 dialog processes. Before we got only 1 dialog process.
Does anybody know how to select only 1 dialog proces during loading?
    regards,
    Jos.

    <b>Rules -</b>
You cannot change the number of dialog processes directly. The number of dialog processes is calculated automatically from the total number of work processes minus all the other work processes.
There must always be at least 2 dialog processes. The number of other work process types can only be increased if there are more than two dialog processes.

  • Dialog process  vs Background process

    Hi,
What is the difference between dialog and background process?
Can a dialog process is used in a process chain?
Does an ABAP program followed by change run be a dialog process or background process in a process chain?
What is the standard maximum runtime duration of a dialog process?
    Regards,
    Pradeep

    Hi,
Dialog Process - Executes dialog programs (ABAP)
Background Process -  Executes time-dependent or event-controlled background jobs.
All the Processes in Process Chain will be Scheduled in Background.
and The Maximum workprocess Time will be defined by BASIS Team.

  • Dialog process

    Hi ,
    1) If dialog process show in priv mode status in sm50 ,how to trouble shoot and what action u need take?
    2) If control files is crashed what will u do for that?
can anybody explan the issue asap
    Regards
    Sheeba

    Hi
    1) If MANY dialog process show in PRIV mode, that means the memory you configured is not sufficient.  You need to review the memory configuration based your what kind of programs are running in the system.  This is just a start point of troubleshooting memory.  http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/en/data/pdf/BCCSTMM/BCCSTMM.pdf is a start point for this.
    2) I hope you are aware where to see that a control file is corrupted (Alert log).  You can see where the control files located from init<SID>.ora and copy the corrupted with the one that is not corrupted.  You may need to stop database to do that.  I haven't encounted any such until now.
    All the best,

  • How do I remove all photos from iPhone 5 camera roll to Mac?

How do I remove all 4000 photos from iPhone 5 camera roll to Mac?

Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. When there are photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll, it is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer.
With a Mac, you can use iPhoto for this if you use iPhoto for photo management on your Mac. If not, you can use the Image Capture application for the import. Both include an option to delete all photos/videos from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete.
