All documents show as "Encrypted File"
When I upgraded to iOS 8 on my iPod touch and iPhone, I used iCloud Drive. I can access my document fine from my iPhone, but not my iPod. I go into settings to look at the usage of my iCloud Storage, and I get this, https://app.box.com/s/r7l8dpv2l6z9zp0nlu28
I've tried signing out of iCloud and signing back in and deleting the app, but noting works. Should I go to the Apple Store or is there anything else I can do?

How can I always have "enable all documents" selected when opening files in Indesign CS6?
Every time I open a file in CS6, I still have to select "open all documents" to see my files that have already been converted to CS6. Before, once a file was converted to the newer version of indesign, you would see it in the menu automatically when open "readable documents" was selected. Now when I go to find a file that I've already converted to CS6, it still makes me select "open all documents" because it doesn't show up as a "readable document"

i'm running osx 10.6.8, mac proif it has a .indd, .indt, .inx or .idml extension ist should show up as readable, regardless of the version. If it's not you have a bigger problem.

Why do old Adobe PDF files which I attach to a document show as Firefox documents in my files instead of an Adobe PDF file after an Adobe Reader update? My saved files Adobe PDF documents also appear as Firefox documents instead of Adobe PDF files.
NO MATTER WHAT VERSION OF WINDOWS YOU'RE USING:
Right click one of the PDFs with the Word icon.
Select "Properties"
Where it says "Opens With" there is a button to change it from Word to Adobe Reader, which should be in the list of available programs that pops up.
Choose Reader, and click APPLY before clicking OK.
That will change ALL PDFs to Reader as the default application. -
I am getting a message that I am running out of storage on my Iphone 5s. The problem may be in my mailboxes. I have eliminated many emails and all documents in the "Attachments file. However, the attachment file still shows an number that is over 4 billion (not sure is this is the number of documents or what it represents) Is this is the source of my storage problem, I'm not sure how to solve it.
Couple of things to try:
If you can access the account on a computer - make sure that the offending email is no longer there
Then delete the email account on the phone - no email loss is incurred
Then reset the phone - hold down home and sleep buttons together until you see Apple logo and then release and allow normal boot up - no data loss
Then reinstall the email account

ICloud Drive shows 'Encrypted Folder' and 'Encrypted File' instead of correct folder and files names
On my 2014 MBA (10.10.2), I added a group of folders and files to iCloud Drive in Finder by dragging and dropping. I do not use disk encryption. The files are of various types (mostly jpeg/pdf, and a few docx). I can see the files when I login to iCloud.com, they are not showing as encrypted. But on my iPad2 8.2 the folders and files show as Encrypted Files and Folders (Settings-iCloud-Storage-Manage Storage-Other Documents (under Documents and Data). I have tried opening these with "authorized apps" on the iPad2, but the apps don't see these files. Two questions: 1. Why are these showing as encrypted, i have no idea what is on the iPad2?; and 2. Once I can get an answer to 1., will I be able to open these jpeg and pdf files on the iPad2. Thanks.
Sorry we aren't communicating. This doesn't have anything to do with a program being associated with the file. No regular app can open an encrypted file. Here is the final outcome. For some reason, after 2 days, these files now show up as unencrypted files in iCloud Drive on the iPad. That is they now match up by name and extension with what I have on the MBA in Finder. There is no explanation except that iCloud Drive is buggy.

I really need someone to help me. I have been trying to figure out how to select a PDF document to convert to a Word doc. When I go to select a PDF file, all that shows up is the WORD docs. does not show ANY of my PDF files... Please help me figure out what is going on? We have it set on auto renewal so I know its not that we haven't renewed this subscription, because we pay automatically.

How can I find all documents encrypted by a certain application?
I don't think Spotlight can help with this, so I am trying to use the ordinary Command-F(ind).
I know there's a parameter option "Created by [application]" but that doesn't work, even though the Info window shows the Kind as this application.
The specifics:
Under System 9, I encrypted a lot of files (personal correspondence, mainly) using Sentinel 2.2. In other words, I used Sentinel to require a password to open those files.
Now I can't open them, because that program doesn't work with Sys X.
I could open them in Sys 9 and then resave them without the encryption. But I need to find them all.
(I want to handle them all now, rather than over the next few decades when one might pop up now and then. I won't have Sys 9 forever.)
I can't find any perameter option to use (in Find) that will locate these files. I have a suspicion that maybe the reason searching on the creator application doesn't work is because Sentinel didn't technically create the documents, it only encrypted existing documents—although in the Info window, Sentinel is shown as the Kind. If it's any help, also shown in the Info window is the version: "Sentinel 2.2, © 1987-89 Supermac Technology."
Sentinel put it's own icon on all the locked files.
Seems like it should be easy to do a search to find all these files, but I can't figure out how.
Any suggestions?

LarryYou should be able to do it, but first you'll need to get a unique piece of metadata for the files, and then you'll need to use the Raw Query format in the Find window. I have a handy little utility written by a cyber-friend I keep in the Dock for getting the metadata entries for a file, and I think there are other free ones on VersionTracker, but you can also use Terminal to get the relevant entries. Thus I have some old Excel files. To locate all of them, I would do this:
1. Open Terminal (it is in your Utilities folder) and type
mdls
and a space. Then drag and drop one of your files into the Terminal window and hit the Return key. The result will look something like this:

2. Since I want to find all the old Excel files, I chose the line
kMDItemKind = "Microsoft Excel 4.0 worksheet"
You can just drag to select that line with the Mouse, then select copy.
3. In the Find window criterion drop down menu, select Other, then scroll down to Raw Query, select it, and then paste the kMDItemKind line you copied into the open field. That should do it.

there is no easy OTB mechanism for that. The most closer OTB functionality is Rights Management Services (see

LSMW me51n, how to create one PR document for all the records in the file

I need to create LSMW for t-code me51n -Create Purchase Requisition. I`m using Bapi BUS2105, method CREATEFROMDATA, idoc message type PREQCR, basic type PREQCR03. The problem is that the LSMW is creating different idoc and different PR document for every record in the source file. My requirement is to create one PR document for one source file (Every source file is different Purchase Requisition) . I`m trying to do this with writing some code(global functions ) in the 'Mapping and conversion rules' events - BEGINOF_TRANSACTION_, ENDOF_TRANSACTION__..., but i`m not very sure what exactly i`m doing .
Please help me resolve this problem, any help will be appreciated .

But I have found faster way of doing it - two source structures, one HEADER and ONE ITEM.
HEADER: one empty text field and identificator for it.
ITEM: everything else.
Then everything was just fine, i`ve mapped the different IDOC segments by PREQ_ITEM fields (equal values in the source file : 10-10-10..., 20-20-20,.... etc.) and put all required fields for my LSMW

Guillermo.... and of course I have to add that this can be done with very few programming (but with that - with much more possibilities) by using a redirect "proxy iView", which is described in detail (and is taking just this scenario as one use case among others) on the slides of my TechEd presentation "Implementing Dynamic iView Properties", at least available for TechEd visitors now.
On the other hand, searching for "proxy iView" on SDN will return different results where at least I have described the basic idea.

List all documents types in a XML file...
Hi, i want to list all document files that are on the portal and make a XML file with result. I found the Interface Query where i can use "search" method. Is there a way to use the APIs from hyperion, i try to do a servlet and obtain a list of all document type like with NAME, DATE CREATED, TYPE, UUID, DESC, etc.. The list can be order by NAME, DATE, etc... And put the result in a XML file. Is it possible to do this with that Hyperion API, or i spend my time to find the solution with this restricted/limited APIs? And first, is there a documentation for the developpers on what we can do with API's Hyperion? The JavaDoc Hyperion just give a little bit information, nothing consisting!! Locked-up at "Uploading file to Adobe ExportPDF online...", even after closing, exiting, clearing browser cache, clearing all documents from online library. Ctrl-Alt-Del EndTask also had no effect. Upon opening, searches for current status and then locks up... Any help?

Where does time machine store content that would be found in the Finder window under "All Images, All Movies, All Documents"? Also, I have many Garageband projects and mp3 files I can't find.
Easiest way to find time machine files is to open up the folder or application(works for email and iphoto) they were in - then click on time machine ICON or enter time machine from the time machine menu to go back through the files.
