All drop down lists flicker on and off while typing or right clicking.
All drop down lists in Firefox, whether it's the menu drop downs, the autocomplete drop downs in the URL bar or the Search field, or even autocomplete drop downs in website form fields, flicker on and off as I type, or when I'm right clicking a link to open in new window or trying to copy a link. I can sometimes get what I want by waiting for it to flicker on and clicking at just the right moment, but it often doesn't work at all. I have a fresh install of Firefox 13.0.1 with no running add ins, plugins or other 3rd party tools. (The troubleshooting info says I have the Adobe Create PDF Extension enabled, but it's not)
None of the suggested fixes I've found in the forums seem to apply here, cause they're all related to add-ins that I don't have.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

Photoshop Elements, All drop down lists locked
After downloading PSE11 and starting the trial version, all drop down lists are greyed out and locked....File, Edit, Windows, Layers, etc...all lists have the text in grey and are not available for use...I am not able to do or save anything.
Please help....and yes, I have tried opening an image and editing it...and still the same problem.
Trial versions are supposed to be fully functional...and yet nothing is functioning...PLEASE HELP!Hold down the Ctrl+Shift+Alt keys and simultaneously click on the Edit button on the welcome screen. After a few seconds release the three keys and look behind the welcome screen by closing it. Alternatively hold down the three keys whilst clicking on the desktop icon for the Editor or PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe in the Programs folder. Keep holding down all three keys for a few seconds; then release. You should get the settings option.
When you see a pop up box with the words: Delete Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?
Click on Yes
Then wait whilst Elements rebuilds the preferences. -
Hi, Itunes won't sync my photos to ipad from elements 11. itunes doesn't show drop down list of albums and says Ipad "......cannot be synced, required folder cannot be found" i have tried re installing both programs but no luck. pls help!!!
I managed to finally fix the problem in a relatively painless way. It turned out that the problem wasn't on my phone, the problem was with iTunes. I completely uninstalled iTunes from my PC and then reinstalled it and everything was fine.
In order to completely uninstall iTunes, I did two things:
Used RevoUninstaller to uninstall iTunes. This cleans out a bunch of extra things that the normal iTunes uninstaller misses.
Searched for any iTunes folders/files on my computer (using the freeware utility called Everything) and deleted them manually.
I hope that works for you. -
I have an iMAC with the Yellowstone OS installed. This problem existed on the previous OS as well. Whenever I click on my wireless mouse, a menu drops down with several options on it. This menu then blocks my ability to click directly on the desired item. This is very irritating.
Try running this program and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read.

Back arrow will not drop down the recent history of pages visited on a right-click.
I use IE 11. Older versions of IE allowed you to back up to any previous page visited during the current session by right-clicking the back button. The right-click would drop down a list of pages visited, and you could choose any one of them, regardless
of their order. With IE 11, the right-click has no effect. I must left-click the back button and go through each page previously visited serially before reaching the desired one. Have I inadvertently changed a setting or something?Hi,
Right-click on the back/forward button works from my side(IE 11 on Windows 8.1 and IE 11 on Windows 7 Ulimate SP1). Not sure what is your situation.
And there seems to be a bug related with IE 11 back button, see here:
IE 11 back button does not work
If you do not sure which settings have been modified, then we may consider to reset IE 11, and please take a note:
Resetting Internet Explorer isn't reversible, and all previous settings are lost after reset.

Hope this may help

I hope my question is clear.
Please help.
Regards,
AShNO da,
it is not working.
First i tired with for-loop. I initialized variable "i" to -2 (i=-2) I would get the year drop down list from 2003 but, by default 2003 would come.
So, i posted the question.
I tried your code. It is giving following error.

Introduction
There is a scenario that thousands of values in the drop-down of a parameter. Scrolling through the large drop down list is slow and cumbersome. Is there a way that we add a search feature in the report, so that it can filter down the values in the drop
down list to a smaller list of values?
Solution
To achieve this requirement, we can add a parameter with multiple keywords ahead, then all of available values which are begin with the keyword will display in the parameter list. In this scenario, we can create cascading parameters. One is a keyword parameter,
and the other parameter is based on the keyword to display the available values.
In order to enable the user to type multiple keywords, we can use the query below to create a split function which takes the list and the de-limiter as input parameters and splits all the values in the database:
CREATE FUNCTION [dbo].[SplitParameterValues] (@InputString NVARCHAR(max), @SplitChar VARCHAR(5))
RETURNS @ValuesList TABLE
param NVARCHAR(255)
AS
BEGIN
DECLARE @ListValue NVARCHAR(max)
SET @InputString = @InputString + @SplitChar
WHILE @InputString!= @SplitChar
BEGIN
SELECT @ListValue = SUBSTRING(@InputString , 1, (CHARINDEX(@SplitChar, @InputString)-1))
IF (CHARINDEX(@SplitChar, @InputString) + len(@SplitChar))>(LEN(@InputString))
BEGIN
SET @InputString=@SplitChar
END
ELSE
BEGIN
SELECT @InputString = SUBSTRING(@InputString, (CHARINDEX(@SplitChar, @InputString) + len(@SplitChar)) , LEN(@InputString)-(CHARINDEX(@SplitChar, @InputString)+ len(@SplitChar)-1) )
END
INSERT INTO @ValuesList VALUES( @ListValue)
END
RETURN
END
Use the query below create a stored procedure to return all available values for Account parameter:
create PROCEDURE sp (@keyword nvarchar(50))
AS
SELECT AccountDescription
FROM DimAccount d
inner join (SELECT [param] FROM SplitParameterValues (@keyword,',')) s on d.AccountDescription like (s.[param]+'%')
In Report Designer, select Stored Procedure as the Query type for DataSet1, then select or type sp in the drop-down list as below:
By default, there is a parameter named keyword in the Parameters pane.
Add a multi-value parameter named Account in the report, then select “Get values from a query” option for Available Values as below:

It was actually an update to an earlier engine, and I foolishly removed the old version rather than just updating it.
Is there anything elsewhere (eg. the registry) that might be preventing this? -
Cteate 2 Dynamic drop down list
Hi all
i want to create 2 dynamic drop down list using struts and hibernate
i want the first one to display countries name then if i select a country name the second drop down list will automatic display the country cities .
i'm using database here and my tables like that :-
country table
country_id number(3) pk
country_name varchar(50)
city table
city_id number(5) pk
country_id(3) fk references country(country_id)
city_name varchar(50)
thank you in advanceHi Omar,
I have solution for you
To populating or refreshing the lists you can use
two procedures:
One of them - generic, which can be used for all types of list
Another is specific which contain a SQL statement to retrieve the data for
particular list.
1. Specific procedure:
PROCEDURE GET_DEPARTMENT_LIST
IS
sql_stat VARCHAR2(32767);
ret_code NUMBER;
BEGIN
-- SQL Statement for Drop-down List
-- (must have two columns for label and value - both VARCHAR2)
sql_stat := ' SELECT DEPARTMENT_NAME,TO_CHAR(DEPT_ID)'
||' FROM SCHEMA.DEPARTMENT';
POPULATE_MY_LIST('BLOCK.DEPARTMENT_LIST',sql_stat,ret_code);
END;
2. Generic procedure:
PROCEDURE POPULATE_MY_LIST
(item_name VARCHAR2,
sql_stat VARCHAR2,
out_code OUT NUMBER)
IS
rg_id RECORDGROUP;
rg_name VARCHAR2(100);
ret_code NUMBER;
item_id ITEM;
BEGIN
item_id := FIND_ITEM(item_name);
IF ID_NULL(item_id) THEN
out_code := -1;
RETURN;
END IF;
--Creating Record Group with Unique Name
rg_name := 'RG_'||SUBSTR(item_name,INSTR(item_name,'.',1)+1,LENGTH(item_name));
--Checking Record Group Name for existance
rg_id := FIND_GROUP(rg_name);
--If Group does exist - delete it
IF NOT ID_NULL(rg_id) THEN
DELETE_GROUP(rg_id);
END IF;
--Creating Record Group
rg_id := CREATE_GROUP_FROM_QUERY(rg_name,sql_stat);
ret_code := POPULATE_GROUP(rg_id);
IF (ret_code <> 0) THEN
out_code := ret_code;
RETURN;
END IF;
POPULATE_LIST(item_name,rg_id);
IF NOT FORM_SUCCESS THEN
out_code := -2;
RETURN;
ELSE
out_code := 0;
END IF;
DELETE_GROUP(rg_id);
END;
Hope it help.

Create a secondary calculation in a repeating subform based on a drop-down list?
Hi all,
I need a crazy bit of scripting. Not sure it's even possible.
What I have:
repeating subform SummarySub with dollar amountcalculation field at end of form TotalOver gives total dollar amount from all iterations of SummarySub
so far, so simple. but then:
I need another, repeating subform SubRow at the end of the form to give another total:
based on Payer Name drop-down list in SummarySub
and break out totals from all iterations of SummarySub based on payer names as chosen by the user.
Ideally, the subform (B) (Payer Totals) at the end of the form would add instances as the user exits the Payer Name field. I haven't been able to figure out how to do that and keep the value in the (Payer Name) field of the added instance.
Does any of this make sense?
I'll appreciate any help. I'm trying to learn more about JavaScript in LC, but my deadlines just keep coming....
Many thanks
Laura
Dropbox - AFBS_OverpaymentReport_121914.pdfHi Laura,
You are right with the need for the nested for loop, If add this code to the calculation event.
var nTotalRemitted = 0;
var oAmountsRemitted = item.resolveNodes("SubRowtwo[*]");
var nRemittedLength = item._SubRowtwo.count;
for (nRemittedCount = 0; nRemittedCount < nRemittedLength; nRemittedCount++)
var oRemittedItem = oAmountsRemitted.item(nRemittedCount);
var nAmountRemitted = parseFloat(oRemittedItem.AmountRemitted.rawValue);
if (!isNaN(nAmountRemitted))
nTotalRemitted += parseFloat(oRemittedItem.AmountRemitted.rawValue);
see the sample https://sites.google.com/site/livecycledesignercookbooks/home/AFBS_PTM_bruce%20script_TEST .pdf?attredirects=0&d=1
There are some comments in the sample explaining some of the code

Audio MIDI Setup - drop-down menu of mfrs. and devices empty?
As the subject says, I'm trying to set up my small arsenal of MIDI gear, and the drop-down lists of manufacturer and device names in the Audio MIDI Setup->MIDI window are empty (there are supposed to be dozens of items to choose from). I've just recently performed a new installation of Snow Leopard, and everything is up to date. I even installed Garage Band, thinking that its installation might fix the missing MIDI device list, but no luck. Another odd thing is that my MOTU MTP AV is recognized by name within System Profiler (as an attached USB device), but I had to install drivers for it to appear in the MIDI Setup window.
Anyone experience this and/or have a solution? I own Pacifist, and if someone knows where the missing files are located within the SL installer disc I could try a custom installation. Help...same problem here, no more device manufacturers and names, but a bigger problem to me is that I see no way of reorganizing the view in the MIDI window anymore, it puts all my devices next to each other, with 30 devices that makes it totally unusable.

Columns in af:table rendering multiple times when filtering drop-down list
Technology: JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4 SU5, ADF Faces/BC
Page design:
Master-detail jspx.
Each section is an af:table.
Drop-down lists created using instructions from http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/muench/screencasts/editabletabledropdown/dropdownlistineditabletable.html?_template=/ocom/technology/content/print
Requirement:
Data in a drop-down list on a child record needs to be filtered based on data from one or more columns in the currently selected row of the parent record.
Issue:
Drop-down lists have been successfully filtered using a couple of different methods, however, any time the data from the parent record is used to filter the data the columns in the child af:table begin to render multiple times. Navigating through the parent rows may cause the child records to have the correct number of columns displayed or multiple copies of the columns displayed.
Removing any reference to the parent view object and hard-coding values instead causes this behavior to disappear.
Each of the following methods has been tried. Each filters drop-down list data correctly and each causes apparently random extra column renders.
1. Cascading lists as per: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/mills/cascading_lists.html
2. Drop-down list based on view object that takes parameters.
3. Set where clause for drop down list in a method on the app module.
4. Set where clause for drop-down list in a new selection listener method for the af:table.
Question:
Is there a solution available that will filter the drop-down lists correctly and prevent the extra columns from being rendered?
Thank you for any help that you can provide,
Joannebump

Drop down lists are active in PDF when received by email
Hello,
I have a form with drop down lists and the form is set so that when the user submits it, the PDF form is sent, not the XML file. The problem is that when I receive the PDF form, the drop down lists are active and I can change the items in the list. Is there a way to disable this so that when the PDF form is received no changes to the form can be made?
Thank you.I think you need to have a flag in a hidden field that indicates that the form has been submitted. You could set that flag on the form's pre-submit event. On the form's initialize event, check the flag. If it's been set (i.e. the form has been submitted before), programatically lock down the form. Here's a tidy little (untested) recursive function that locks down the form:<br /><br />lockDown(xfa.form.nodes);<br /><br />function lockDown(oNodes) {<br /> for (var i=0; i<oNodes.length; i++) {<br /> if (oNodes.item(i).className == "subform")<br /> lockDown(oNodes.item(i).nodes);<br /> else <br /> oNodes.item(i).access = "readOnly";<br /> }<br />}<br /><br />Jared Langdon<br />http://www.jlangdon.ca

Adobe LiveCycle Designer working with 2 drop down list, one response triggers the other
I am fairly new to Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2, but I would like to have a drop down list of managers and another drop down list of employees.
I would like this set up in such a way where the manager can click on their own name in the manager list and have a drop down list appear which is only populated with their directly reporting employees. They can then click on the individual employee they are going to report on.
Then there will be several questions pertaining to the individual direct report, etc. (This part I can do)
Is this possible?
If so, please provide detailed instructions for me to try.
Thank you in advance.Put this in the change event of your Manager drop down:
var myObj={"Manager 1":"Employee A,Employee B,Employee C",
"Manager 2":"Employee D,Employee E",
"Manager 3":"Employee F,Employee G, Employee H"};
DropDownList2.setItems(myObj[this.boundItem(xfa.event.newText)]);
This is assuming the list of items in that dropdown is "Manager 1", "Manager 2", "Manager 3".
And DropDownList2 is the name of your Employee drop down.

"document.forms[0]" is a reference to the first form in the
document.
Since you didn't name your form, I assumed you have only one
form in
your document. Normally, you would name your form
<form name="foo">
Then you can reference it directly:
document.forms["foo"]
To disable a select object named "bar" in a form name "foo",
the
following will accomplish the task:
document.forms["foo"].elements["bar"].disabled=true;
//or as a shortcut:
document.foo.bar.disabled=true;
The "document" is a reference to your current document, not
the title.
This assumes a non-framed environment.
