All episodes in XML file not showing up in iTunes

When I first posted all 5 of my podcast they showed up. Now only 1 episode is showing up. I checked my XML file and they're all there. Not sure what is going on.

hi myckee1 - what is your feed url?

  • Descriptions of individual episodes of my podcast NOT showing up in iTunes Store Listing AGAIN

I had this issue occur a while back, where the descriptions of invdividual episodes of my podcast would not display in iTunes - instead, a "--" would appear. At the time, the reason for this issue's occurrence was because I did not have a <itunes:subtitle> tag decalred for each individual episode. I have since gone in and added that string, and the descriptions had shown up in iTunes.
Just today, I added a new episode to my feed. The descriptions are all gone again! In their place: "--." Each item, including the most recently added episode, has a <itunes:subtitle> tag, so I am really not sure now what the issue is!

    Roger,
The second feed that you mentioned:
    https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/talk-radio-meltdown-radioyou/id425903848
    using the feed at
    http://talkradiomeltdown.com/radioyou-podcast.xml
... is irrevelant. It was a separate edition of my podcast that was granted its own special feed. It has not been updated since 2010-2011.
My main concern is my feed at: http://talkradiomeltdown.com/podcast.xml. That is my main feed. The last time I had this issue, you were very helpful in pointing out that I was missing the <itunes:subtitle> tags; I had gone in and added them, and after a couple of days, the feed updated with the subtitles in place.
However, it appears that, since adding a new episode yesterday (our first new episode since early September) the subtitles/descriptions seem to have vanished again.
Hopefully this resolves itself in a couple of days. I will check my feed again, though running the .xml file through FeedValidator.org has brought up no errors in regards to bad formatting.

  • Audiobooks mp3 files not showing up in iTunes or on shuffle?

I recently purchased some audio books that are mp3. They were a zip file, and I extracted the files, but they won't show up in iTunes. I attempted to just drage the files onto my shuffle (which appeared to work, as I received a "copying" message), but they aren't showing up there either. Help!

    Starting from scratch...
Extract the files from the zipped folder. In Windows 7, right-click the zipped folder and select Extract All...
You should be given an option about where you want to put the extracted files. If not, or it you need to move those files, the usual place to put them is in the Music/iTunes/iTunes Music folder. I suggest that you put audiobooks in a folder named Audiobooks (to keep things organised). You must move them before importing them into iTunes. If you move them afterwards, iTunes will lose them. If there is not currently an Audiobooks folder in iTunes, then create one. So looking into the folders, the path should be as follows:
    Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Audiobooks/<artist name>/<album title>/ and then the individual MP3s.
    Once you have the MP3s where you want them, it should be possible to drag the folder into iTunes. Alternatively, in iTunes;
    so that you can then select Add Folder to Library;
and simply navigate to the folder that has the audiobook files in and add.
That's it. They are now in your iTunes Library.
However, you will probably find that the files import into your iTunes as Music files, and you may want to change them to Audiobooks. To do that, in iTunes, find the files you have just imported, highlight all of them and then select File/Get Info/Options>Media Kind and change the Media Kind to Audiobooks.

  • Descriptions of individual episodes of my podcast NOT showing up in iTunes Store Listing

    Podcast feed: http://talkradiomeltdown.com/podcast.xml
    Feedburner variant feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/talkradiomeltdown
    Store listing: http://talkradiomeltdown.com/itunes
I have coded my podcast feed entirely by myself, using the template provided here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html#example
While checking my feed in the iTunes Store recently, I have noticed that after Episode 64, the descriptions for each individual episodes are displayed as "--", and I am not seeing a link to open descriptions of these individual episodes in a new window. This appears to be a recent problem.
I am noticing no difference in XML code between Episode 64 and Episode 65, as the template is unchanged with each update to the feed. However, I have noticed that, when checking my feed through FeedValidator.org, I receive this message:
"Your feed appears to be encoded as "UTF-8", but your server is reporting "US-ASCII"
I have attempted to rectify this issue, but to no avail. I wonder if it is causing this issue to occur. Again, this appears to be recent. Last I checked the Store listing for my podcast (a few weeks ago), I was seeing descriptions for each individual episode.

Don't worry about the Feedvalidator error.
The Store is using the feed at http://talkradiomeltdown.com/podcast.xml - the Feedburner feed doesn't come into it.
Not filling in the 'itunes:subtitle' tag is what's caused the problem. When subscribing, the 'Description' column is presumably populated by the 'description' tag in the absence of the proper one, but the Store is not doing this.
Oddly enough your latest episode does have the 'itunes:subtitle' tag but it's not showing in the Store - did you add it subsequent to posting the episode? - if that's the case the Store will pick it up when you post a new episode.

  • Suddenly all my Apple TVs do not show up in iTunes anymore

Ok, to say this right at the beginning: YES, I am an Apple product freak. I got several Apple products that I am synchronizing with my iTunes.
Three of these - 3 Apple TV (2 first gen and 1 ATV 2) were working FINE until about a four days ago. I had them all running in the same network. The two first gen ATV  were showing up in iTunes; the second gen was able to access everything through the home sharing. All was well.
About four days ago I used my ATVs the last time without problem.
Today I cannot get ANY of the ATV to work in iTunes/access iTunes. They do not show up in the iTunes menu, I cannot access my music/tv shows/movies ... nothing works. I CAN access the internet. I can download new tv music/tv shows/movies. I can access the iTunes store and buy anything I like. I can access youtube through the ATVs ... everything internet related work - just not the connection to iTunes on my Win 7 computer (which can also access the internet and can ping all three devices without problem).
I deinstalled iTunes (now several times), deinstalled Norton 360 (because I read here in the Forum, that the Firewall might be the problem. I opened the ports for iTunes in my router (which I did not need before, but did it anyways just to test). Nothing works. I even reset all my ATV and reinstalled them to the newest firmware/software version - no effect. I am at the end of my wits. I tried everything both via Ethernet cable and WiFi ...
Now - each time I reinstalled iTunes it pretty much automatically had all the configuration iTunes had before I uninstalled it. Because I (at least) think I tested all other factors, I wonder if maybe a problem could have occured within the configuration which is now being copied to each new installation of iTunes. Does anyone got an idea, how to circumvent that?
Or does anyone have any other idea, which I did not try already? I would be very grateful, if someone could help me out with this problem. THANK YOU

Please disregard. After a new installation of Win 7 and new iTunes everything works again. Not sure what the problem was ... but at least it works now. Thanks everyone!

  • Ringtone file not showing up in itunes

when i open itunes, the file where ringtones goes on the top, next to apps, movies, or music, does not show up. how do i get or create a file for ringtones so that i can sync with my iphone?

Open Edit > Preferences > General tab, make sure Tones (formerly Ringtones) is ticked.
This label changed with iTunes 10.5.1.42 which also changes the folder used to store Tones in the media folder.

  • File not showing up inside iTune

Hi. I have some albums I bought from iTunes store that came with a pdf album liner file. The pdf liner used to show up inside iTunes, but they no longer do, even though they are inside the correct folder and can be seen via Finder. When I add them to iTunes library via File -> Add to Library the liner just gets moved to Unknown Artist/Unknown Album folder.
How do I add the pdf liner files so that they can be seen from inside iTunes within the correct album? Thanks.

  • Episode of established podcast not showing up in iTunes. Why?

It usually shows up quickly, but today, nothing I do will make it show up. My feed is http://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/podcasts/pwcomicsworld/index.rss What's going wrong?

Nothing is wrong - it shows when subscribing. It's quite normal for the Store to take 1-2 days to show new episodes - if you've been getting them in quicker than this you've just been lucky.
A couple of minor points: your 'pubDate' tag for the latest episode is missing the day -
    <pubDate>, 21 Jul 2013 00:00:00 EDT</pubDate>
though I very much doubt this has anything to do with the problem (the date shows OK when subscribing).
And some of your subtitles have coding in them:
    <itunes:subtitle>Fantagraphics%2C Geary%2C Eisner Foundation</itunes:subtitle>
which is showing in iTunes, not rendering, and looking messy. %2C is a comma: just put a comma in.

  • Pages files not showing up in iTunes

I have documents that I created on the iPad using Pages.
I have manually backed up using iVloud and This Computer in iTunes.
In iTunes when I go to Apps, File Sharing and click on Pages, no files show up.
Can you tell me how to get them to show?
    Cheers, Mike

I don't have the Pages app, but it's help page says :
Export a document to your computer:
    1. Open the document you want to export, and then tap in the toolbar.
    2. Tap “Share and Print,” and then tap “Send to iTunes.”
    3. Tap the document format you want to export to: Pages, PDF, or Microsoft Word.
    4. Connect your iOS device to your computer and open iTunes on your computer. After a moment, your iOS device appears in the left side of the iTunes window (under Devices).
    5. In iTunes, select your iOS device, and then click Apps.
    6. Scroll to the bottom of the Apps window, and then select Pages (in the Apps list under File Sharing).
    7. Select the name of the document you want to transfer to your computer and click “Save to.”
    8. In the window that appears, navigate to the location where you want to store the document, and then click Open.

  • File not showing in SharePoint (IE) but visible in Explorer

I have a document library that has a single file not showing up that I can't seem to track down.  I am hoping someone here might be able to offer something I haven't thought of.
The document library is very much 'stock'.  Verisioning is turned on and minor revisions aren't viewable to folks without edit rights.  I am the admin with full control to everything - as is the user this initially impacted. The file will show
in the Explorer view - but isn't viewable in an 'all files' file via the browser or when attempting to open via Excel.   If we provide the full path/file it does open successfully in Excel and offer the Check Out option - but it won't show up
    in the 'File Open' dialog.
I thought at first it might be a matter of not having a version checked in - but it isn't showing under "Manage files which have no checked in version" menu.   I've gone through the various SharePoint view options and can't find anything there either.
What would make a single Excel file in such an ordinary document library not be visible to users with full control rights?  We have roughly 80k files stored in SharePoint overall - so please don't read this as being our initial test of SharePoint.
    I'd really appreciate any ideas...
    -Troy

Just to add a few more details. I have been able to add the file to a different library and they uploaded fine. The library in question is created off of a template and has 2 metadata fields. The fields are also being used in the other library, but that
was created from a different template.
The site and initial 4 libraries were created from a site template and then the library was added from a different library template. Checking ULS logs now, but doubtful I will find anything.

  • "XML File not found for the Container DataBindings.cpx" error after deploy

    Hello,
I have a problem with my JSP-Javaproject. Local works all fine but when i deploy my project to a Oracle Aplication Server i allway get this XML-File-Not-found exception:

    What can i do?
    Thanks, steve

Adding the dependency in the ViewController fixed this for me.
I'm using two AppModules in the controller and the second one wasn't being picked up.
I was able to fix this by:
Go to the Project Properties, select Dependencies, edit the Dependent Projects and Archives, find the model that's failing and add a tick in the Build Output box.
The model should now be picked up in the ViewController's DataBindings.cpx source file, though I did have to restart JDev for this to be picked up.

    I found this on Metalink...
    JBO-26001: NoXMLFileException
Cause: Could not open the named XML file for read.
The following is from Note 137429.1. Hope this helps.
    Raja.
    JBO-26001: NoXMLFileException
Cause: Could not open the named XML file for read.
Action: 1. Make sure that the file is present. In particular, if the file is to be found in a zip/jar file, make sure that the Zip/JAR file is included in the CLASSPATH.
    2. This error is also reported if the name of the XML file does not match the object Name specified in the XML file. If the file system support case insensitive file names (e.g., Windows NT), make sure that the file name matches the object Name in the XML file in case-sensitive fashion.
    3. For a .JPX file, this error is reported if the JPX file is missing the JboProject XML tag. Check the JPX file to make sure that the valid tag is in there.
    4. One XML file may be extending another XML file (specified by the Extends element in this XML file). This error is reported if the base XML file is not found.
    5. When loading the XML file for a package (JboPackage tag), this error is reported if some unexpected error occurs while loading a containee.
In all of the above cases, a more descriptive message may be printed on Diagnostic. If you are not seeing Diagnostic messages, you can run your application with Diagnostic turned on, as in "java -Djbo.debugoutput=console ...", to see Diagnostic messages.
