All EPM products to be installed are disabled in installtool.sh

I need reinstall the all EPM products, then I executed the unistall tool and removed all files under Middleware/*, so now when I execute the installTool.sh and pass the my Middleware home and selected a New Installation, on the next screen all products appears as disabled for select installation. When I click in a product appears this error message:
Errors:
   EPMINS-01046: The installation checks required to run EPM System Installer did not succeed. See the Troubleshooting Guide for more information.:
      Checking available swap space
      Expected result: 512MB
      Actual Result: 0MB
      Check complete. The overall result of this check is: Failed <<<<
      Problem: The system does not have the required swap space.
      Recommendation: Make more swap space available to perform the install.
Status: EPMINS-01016: Cannot install the selected component. Click Help to see possible reasons.
I'm executing in AIX 7.1, the swap space has 16GB free only 3% are in use.

Yes Santy,
I did reboot server, and the install user have sufficient right. This environment already was installed without problems, so when I removed all products and try install again, this problem happens.
All pre-req appears without problems on welcome screen of installTool.sh.

Hello, i am having trouble with my itunes, Quicktime, and all other apple products on my computer.
This all start when i tried to update my Itunes(which was working fine minus this problem) and it would not let me. It kept giving me the error "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" when i hit ok "The path C\:user\Danie\appdata\Local\Apple\Apple software update\ Itunes64.msi cannot be found verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package Itunes64.msi in a folder from which you can install the product". This happenede with the installation of Quicktime to.
Finally i got fed up with these errors and decided to get rid of Itunes and Quicktime all togther. I went to the programs area and i tried to uninstall and to my joy got the exact same error as when i tried to update. It would not let me Reinstall Uninstall or update anything related to apple products because of the "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" error.
I finally manually went and uninstalled the folder through program files into the bin and deleted but despite that i still have the program Itunes listed in my Programs and features page and it still wont let me reinstall or remove it. All it ended up doing was causing me not to be able to use itunes on my laptop at all.
Further information im on a Dell Laptop using a 64bit system Windows 7.

Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes and QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try reinstalling iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Iview templates are disabled

Hi,
I installed EP 7.1,NW04S.But I am not able to work on portal development as well as Netweaver administrator.
In portal I am not able to select iView from the templates list. All radio buttons of the iView are disabled.
Apart from this I am not able to work on webdynpro administrator also. After giving the URL of the webdynpro administrator SAP Net weaver Administrator tab thronging error like 404 not found.
Can someone give me the idea to resolve the issue?

Updates are disabled by system administrator

I'm looking at three different pc's - two are on a domain, the other is from a different domain and network. All three systems report that "updates are disabled by your system administrator" in the help, about firefox screen.
To my knowledge, the system administrator team (myself and co-workers) have not done anything to disable this. It also seems odd that a random laptop not related to my business' domain would have the same error.
What is causing the updates to be disabled? How can this be enabled?

Just curious whether turning off the use of the maintenance service, then exiting and restarting Firefox would bypass that message. You can turn off the service in the Options dialog under Advanced/Updates. See: [[Advanced settings for accessibility, browsing, system defaults, network, updates, and encryption]].

Every-time I restart my PC, all the extensions / add-ons are disabled. And Firefox is opening all the extensions (each in a tab) and is asking to install each-time.

Mozilla has been in contact with those other companies for over a month now about Firefox 5 being released today. <br />
Try running the Live Update for McAfee. <br />IDM said they should have an update ready in a few days.
The thing I am curious about is that if you are aware that your other software is slow at keeping up with Firefox releases, why you allow Firefox to update on the first day of the new release. IMO, you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

Workspace not showing newly installed EPM products 11.1.1.1

From within the workspace i can see theNavigate | Consolidation | Applications but not the same for the Planning Apps.
After installing and configuring new EPM products is there something else I need to do. I've tried reinstalling the workspace but this hasn't helped
Any ideas would be appreciated

When you mention the Config tool are you referring to the Foundation Services | EPM System Configurator? Or is there an planning specific config.
I've ran the config after installation. Both products register with Shared Services. I have green ticks on all items.
When you say +"executed the config tools for the workspace (config yes , database no, server deployement yes)"+ where are these options?
How can I check +"the shared services configuration. is it reference planning right"+ I have ran the Validation report and I have no errors, everything has passed but still no Planning option available in the workspace.
Further advise would be greatfully appreciated.

Browser Type Options are disabled on OpenScript Version: 9.3.1.0 Production

I have installed OATS complete suite 9.3.1 on Windows 7 (32 Bit OS).
On OpenScript tool, both Browser Types radio buttons are disabled and Firefox radio button is selected.
I am unable to change the Browser Type in OpenScript preferences.
When I try to record/run a script no browser is launched and unable to run or record scripts.
I have checked my enabled Toolbars on IE 8, I can see Oracle.OATS.OpenScript.IEToolBar.OpenScriptToolBar is selected and enabled.
Version: 9.3.1.0 Production
Build ID: 2.6.1.0036
Can anyone please throw some light on this issue.

Hi Satya,
Restart 'Oracle ATS Helper' service. Then try to record.
If browser not launching after service restart, then go to OATS installed folder (default it is C:\OracleATS). Then open openscript. Then open UninstallBrowserHelpers.bat. Your browser addons will be uninstalled. Then open InstallBrowserHelpers.bat
Open HelperService, then bin( ie, OracleATS\openScript\HelperService\bin). Open UninstallHelperService.bat, after that InstallHelperService.bat, then RunHelperService.bat. Go to services and make sure that 'Oracle ATS Helper' service is running.
Then try your recording!!!

'Required components are disabled' error during trial install

I've downloaded the CS5.5 trial for the first time. When I install, I see three checkboxes for install: Encore, OnLocation, and Premiere Pro. The first two are checked, but the third is unchecked with a red X to the right of its name. If I try to select Premiere Pro, I see on the right side the message: 'Required compnents are disabled'. I have no idea what this means, but it unfortunately is immutable and prevents me from installing.
Older forum posts mention this phrase and that you need to run CS5Clean. I've done this and while I have some software installed (Flash Builder, , I've never installed Premiere before. Here is the output of my cleanup.xml:

I'm running a Macbook Pro i7 2.66Ghz 2010 model (6.2) with 8GB of RAM and ~18GB of space remaining.
A few possibilities looking over the list:
- These models come with NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M video card, which I see is not in your supported GPU-accelerated list. Is GPU acceleration a hard requirement?
- I'm running off of a OCZ Vertex 3 solid-state drive. The requirements state a 7200RPM drive. While my drive more than meets that limit, I'm wondering if it's being detected incorrectly.
- I have swapped out my DVD drive for a second hard drive. It would not seem a necessary system requirement to have a DVD drive for the Premiere Pro functionality, but if this is a hard requirement then this may be the problem.
I can't do much about the first, but if it's either of the latter two I might. It'd be nice if the installer could tell me this directly.

After windows 7 update kb/3006137, all extensions are disabled.

This is the second time I have installed a windows 7 update and all my extensions are disabled with no button to enable in the extension window. Last time I reinstalled them all, which is a pain. This time it happened after installing update "kb/3006137." I am using Firefox 36.0. Windows 7 64 bit.
Any solutions to this problem? I don't like the thought of going back before the update, since critical updates are critical.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

It doesn't hinder my music playing, but it is annoying. And, this is all done on my work computer. I have not unpdated iTunes on my home laptop, cause I don't want to have to deal with this error message.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

there are tons of fonts overthere! .. if you install all those your machine will dramatically slow! .. each software will load all fonts each time! .. but i don't need all those all the time .. can i temporary disable some fonts??? ..let's say 2 modes .. (deep design mode - normal mode) when i enter deep design i want photosop to load all fonts .. but normally i don't need all those to be loaded each time!!!! just the basic fonts will be ok! .. i install all fonts when needed and then delete it! that works but i need something better and faster.. is there a feature or something do the trick?

Additional program called Font Manger is a software designed to solve exactly a problem like yours. Its main purpose is to reduce performance hit caused by large number of fonts installed in the system. Good font managers have features like automatically installing and uninstalling the desired fonts which can be associated with opening certain programs, files, etc. Font managers usually also have features such as organizing and previewing fonts externally.
By the way I have exactly the opposite problem of yours as described in the other thread Noel pointed to. My computer can handle a number of fonts large enough that requires some organization in the font menu in order to be manageable but no programs offer such features.
Out of curiosity what's the number of fonts installed in your system folder and what kind of hardware and system software you have?
by the way: installed fonts are loaded when the system starts and stay in the memory all the time, they do not load when each program opens, but may take time for the program to read and display for the first time in the session a long list of fonts. That's why I would like some menu font organization that will not require listing and reading all fonts but only certain user defined submenu sections.

Migration Assistant - Computers fail to find each other - Dell Windows 7hp to iMac OS X Mavericks - all firewalls on both machines are disabled

I dont post here often but after a few days of trying different things I am at a loss so here it goes:
Previous Machine: c2009 Dell, Windows 7 Home Premium
New Machine: late 2012 iMac, OS X Mavericks, Parallels 10 Installed
Both computers connected to existing business network via ethernet. All firewalls and updates are disabled on both computers, screen savers and sleep modes are also disabled.
The first strategy was to transfer data using the Parallels Migration Wizard. The wizard finds the PC and begins the transfer, but gets to about 1/5 progress and hangs/ stops every time in the same spot. I disabled everything (firewall, etc.) I can think of on the windows PC and it still hangs in the same place every time.
The second strategy was to use the Migration Assistant that came on the iMac. The computers fail to find each other every time. so I haven't been able to even start the process. Searching on the iMac Network folder I can find and access the Dell (after changing security settings on the Dell to allow this). From the Dell Network folder I am not able to find or access the iMac.
So, I have submitted a help request to Parallels to see what they can do to help, but I also wanted to reach out here in case someone has experienced this before.
