All events lost after database repair

Hello, I repaired my iPhoto database - just to maintain it and do some house keeping - bad Idea ... now all photos are merged in a single event and all other events ore simply gone ... any idea out there?

If you only ran the Repair Database option try again with option #4, Rebuild Database, selected. See if that will restorfe your events/photos.

Iphoto 9.6 .. All events lost

Well.
It seems after upgrading to Yosemite and upgrading iPhoto to 9.6 all my events are gone and the only one left is the "New Event" from today which contains 177.031 pictures.
Another "New Event" contains 15.054 pictures.
Started the new 9.6 iPhoto, accepted the library conversion .. and now back home I see that huge mess.
Not only are all events gone (except for two, over a thousand Events went "poof")
All faces are gone too.
The Library package shows the structure under "Old Masters" .. but it seems all Folders do not contain files according to the Finder.
All pictures are new in one big heap in the "Masters > 2014 > 10 > 29 / 30" folder.
I have a recent backup of the folder .. but is is in the old format (before Yosemite) and very likely the new iPhoto will again make a mess out of it.
I will start a new library and import the folders from the backup by hand so the structure aka. events is back.
And as always. Backup Backup Backup .. everything you consider important at least twice.
Still, any idea on how to restore the faces ?

I updated from the latest version to Yosemite and than downloaded the iPhoto update.
The last version had some little lag now and than but was overall stable (one of the reasons i upgraded to a new iMac from my old 27" iMac)
I used iPhoto for daily use and Aperture for more advanced stuff (rarely)
No account sharing (i am single user on all my machines without Admin rights for safety) and the library is on an external hard drive and has been there for years.
I actually have three libraries (old archive, private, work) with the private one being the biggest.
All 3 libraries are existing since the iApps came with a Mac (2004 ??) and were converted to the new version multiple times, without issue than taking quite some time.
As I am afraid that iPhoto will make a mess of the the other 2 libraries too I am now copying the Master folders to another external hard drive.
I am now trying (doing some other work) to rebuild the Library again by dragging only single folders into iPhoto from the "Master" sources.
I also discovered 4 "Recovered photos" folders containing various pictures and (strangely) *.avi files which iPhoto does not want to import.
No idea what these are, will copy them to my windows machine and take a look, maybe some old digital camera made those as the oldest pictures in the library date back to 1994.

IPhoto 09 - some recent events lost after restoring from Time Machine

recently my early-2009 iMac hanged during boot up on the white screen. so i a restore from Time Machine and it works. this freezing occurred twice of the last one week, which i did 2 restore to last backup. then i notice there's an issue with iPhoto 09. i notice some latest events which supposedly been backup during the restore point, appears 'blank'. when i enter Time Machine, i see all previous events but the recent day or two, it just turn out to be black squares, and when i enter the events there weren't any photos but just files with names.
i tested again but loading in a couple of new photos into iPhoto yesterday night, back it up and double check in Time Machine, it is (the new photos) there. about 6-hours later i make a check again (on Time Machine), the photos event became the black square again. this is really a pain for me as i have lost enough photos
i desperately need help on this. anyone?

So if I understand:
1.) The goal is to restore the iPhoto Library from a point before the issues started happening
2.) When you try to go backwards in Time Machine while inside the iPhoto window you get a blank Library when you get to the date range you want.
What to do:
- As you cannot seem to access the iPhoto contents using the iPhoto window I would suggest the following:
1.) Navigate using the Finder to ~/Pictures (or whatever folder you are currently housing your iPhoto Library in)
2.) Rename the current iPhoto Library to something else (Like iPhoto Library Old etc)
3.) While looking at this Pictures window, activate Time Machine and go back in time to a date when YOU ARE SURE iPhoto was working fine and had the images you want
4.) Click on the iPhoto Library in the Time Machine window and click on Restore
-- This will restore the Library from the date in question
-- You will have 2 libraries once the restore is complete. The freshly restored library and the old library. Keep the old library just for safe keeping until such time as you determine you have all the pictures you want. Then you can do whatever you want with it (trash it, etc)

Sql Developer Data Modeler all domains lost after changing to version 3.0

I have two questions:
1. Sql Developer Data Modeler - is it still a separate product? Or is it only available as integrated within Sql Developer?
2. After opening a model created with Data Modeler 2.0 with the new integrated Data Modeler 3.0 I lost all my domain definitions. What can I do to avoid this? Any help would be appreciated.

Location of this directory can be set in preferences - it's called system types directory there - it contains: default domains, RDBMS sites, logical types and custom scripts.

unfortunatly my pb keeps losing all settings(mailaccounts, bookmarks, dock etc.). after i set everthing as it was before it disappeared again.

I sounds like you may be setting up prefs/settings for one account and logging on another account, but not quite. Any chance you lost, deleted, or misplaced your Home folder?

All contacts lost after updating software, incl. icloud

After having updated software on my iPhone in Settings I have lost all my contacts in my iPhone.
I got iCloud installed as part of the updte and after that I have no access.
When I log into iCloud there are no contacts either.

All data lost after upgrading

I lost all data after upgrading my iPhone 3G to iOS4. I was able to recover only the information that syncs with mobileme, everything else was gone, in all apps: bank accounts, passwords, notes, games, settings, etc -everything
I already restored and restarted, even used time machine, nothing seems to work. Any help?

I am trying to update to the newest software, and get a warning that i need to save/transfer new purchases to my library. I know the last time i did this update i went with continue, and as the others in the posting have indicated lost information. It didnt matter to me at that time, but now that I have more info to lose, i dont want to do it, so the other option on it is to do as it asks. But, I am having a hard time doing that. I have done what they have asked by going to file and transferring, but, it doesnt seem to be working. As i continue to get the same warning. I am not going to update this till i get the answer to do it properly this time. But, want to know why it doesnt want to transfer the info that it requires, for me to continue on. I think this is why the others in the thread are losing their info.

All info lost after software update...need help!

I was running a software update in order to make sure I had the latest on my computer. After I restarted the computer and 10.4.4 was loaded, I went into iTunes, address book, iPhoto and I nothing was there. Now this might be normal, but I was unaware of this and now I have a huge pit in my stomach because I lost a lot of information that took me months to compile. Is there anyway to retrieve any of this (pictures, addresses, music) or am I just out of luck? Thanks for all help in advance.

Turns out those error messages it gave me were because it didn't sync properly and create a backup. Which is why when I restored from backup it didn't reload my old info. Instead of assuring me that I would have the option to restore my info, it would have been nice had it told me that a backup hadn't been completed and that restoring my phone without it would leave me with nothing.
Tech support had me use my old SIM card to import my old contacts. This worked, but I've entered contacts since getting the new phone that aren't on my old SIM. And doing so left me with a bunch of re-organizing to do (deleting, combining, entering First and Last name fields...) it took me several hours.
I didn't get my appointments back, cause my old phone was just a phone, and that info wasn't on the old SIM, but I'm REALLY glad I got my contacts.

Logical names lost after database corruption removal

I am working on a PXI based project using NI 5663 and NI 5673. The MAX database in system got corrupted recently due to power cut.
I did a database corruption removal and the only issue I face now is that there are no logical names for the devices. I am following the steps from the site below to create the same –

But after I create a new logical name say for the LO 5652 (associated with 5663), I do not know which driver session to associate with it.
There are driver sessions for niFGen, ni5450 in the list but no session for 5663 or 5673.
Could someone please help me out with creating logical names and associating them to the devices?

Hello,
To configure your 5663, you can refer to the RF Vector Signal Analyizer Getting Started Guide pages 37 - 39.
You should open Measurement & Automation Explorer and rename the devices such as VSA_LO, VSA_DC, VSA_DIG for the local oscillator, downconverter and digitzer respectively. Next you will need to associate the downconverter with the local oscillator and digitizer by right clicking the downconverter and selecting properties
To configure the 5673 the steps will be fairly identical, rename the devices if you wish and then associate the upconverter (IQ Vector Modulator) with the arbitrary waveform generator and the local oscillator. You can also refer to the RF Signal Generator Getting Started Guide on pages 23 - 24.
Which programming language are you using the VSA and VSG with? You normally wouldn't need to configure any IVI sessions the the devices. The only configuration normally is just associating the upconverter or downconverting with the LO or digitizer/AWG module.

All apps lost after synch

This morning I connected my 3GS to my laptop which was NOT on the net. I have I tunes set for manual synch yet it still goes on it's own. Anyways, after the synch is done, all of my apps were gone. Ones that were free and ones I paid for. Tried to put them back on phone in which case it told me they were synched successfully yet nothing on the phone. I ended up updating the os, tried to synch again, same results. Had to go and reset settings and they finally appeared, although in the info screen it showed they were there all the time. Also couldn't vet anything from I tunes until after the reset. I believe I'm still running the older version of I tunes. Anyone else had this problem?

All data lost after upgrade to 4.2.1

Hi all,
I have a 3G (possibly 3G s?) and I finally got around to upgrading to ios 4.
Synced with itunes beforehand, which I thought would have backed everything up, but all photos, contacts, messages etc have disappeared. It also wiped all my music and apps, however these are still in itunes, so I guess I can get them back relatively easily.
Any advice on how to recover SMS, contacts and photos would be hugely appreciated. This has not been a happy new year...

Restoring the phone to its factory condition gives me a shiny new, fully-functional phone with absolutely nothing in it. No photos, no text messages, no contacts, no calendar. Some of these items can be restored because they live in the .mac cloud, but the photos and text messages cannot.
Before the software updated, iTunes made a backup of the current state of the phone. I've tried everything under the sun to restore the phone to this particular backup, but it doesn't finish the process. This backup lives in the ~/Library/Application Support /MobileSync/Backup/ folder.
Now, your post provides a solution, but I'm afraid I don't understand what it means. Should I move the backup to ~/Library/iTunes/Mobile Backups/Structured and try again? Or should I move something from ~/Library/iTunes/Mobile Backups/Structured into ~/Library/Application Support /MobileSync/Backup/? As of now, the only thing within that Structured folder is a status.plist file.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

All Data Lost after upgrade

Was wondering if someone could help out...
So I get a call late last night from my mom, she's upgraded her boyfriend's phone on her Windows Vista PC using iTunes. Although, it's upgraded, but deleted ALL data from the phone.
The phone doesn't appear in 'My Devices', nor does it appear in the option to 'restore from'... however, there DOES appear to be a file in the backup location (after a LONG time trying to find it on Vista) that appears to have been last modified at the time of data loss - I am presuming this will be the backup file from the boyfriends phone.
So - how can she go about restoring all the data back to the iPhone?
I hope this makes sense, any help is appreciated.

New Laptop - All data lost after 3weeks! Help!!!

I purchased a HP Pavillion G6 - 2205AX with Microsoft 8 3 weeks ago and I am beginning to regret it. My last laptop an (Asus) lasted 6 years with NO problems but I was convinced to go HP.
I had set up the computer, loaded all my documents, hooked up my printer, got anti virus, loaded microsoft office...all the normal things you do when getting a computer.
It has been running perfect, I had completed a couple of assignments, downloaded a heap of documents and everything was running fine. I always shut down after use and dont leave it plugged into the wall charging if it doesnt need it.
Today, I turned the laptop on like normal and it started up with the same start up as when I first ever started it up?? It took forever to load and when I finally got into the desktop everything is GONE!!! I cant find my documents, music or photos anywhere!!!
I am desperate to find out if they are on here somewhere as I have two assignemts due on Thursday and d not want to re-do them if they are on here somewhere....
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
