I hope someone will feel sorry for me,, i have a powerbook g3 running mac os 9.1 and most of files on it are not there or cannot find translation? I also am in need of safari 2.0 download, I am pretty new at this and am getting very frustrated. Any help will be so much appreciated1

Hi, ninamarie. Apparently you are downloading files in one or more file formats that no application installed on your computer is able to read. Examples of such files are any whose names end in .exe (applications that run only on Microsoft Windows computers) or .dmg (disk images for use only on Macs running OS X), as well as many others. If you have downloaded any version of Safari, just trash it, because it is of no possible use to you in OS 9.1.
Many of the sites where you can send and receive webmail for free no longer support any web browser that can run in the eight-year-old OS 9.x. A good many other web sites that are not used for emailing also fail to load in those old browsers. It may be difficult or impossible for you to find a browser that you can use in OS 9 for every web site that is of interest to you, and it will certainly not be possible to find an OS 9-compatible browser that opens all current web sites.
The last, best browser I used in OS 9, nearly four years ago now, was WAMCom Mozilla 1.3.1. Download the OS 8.6-9.x version from this page and give it a try:

Check Finderr->Preferences->General and ensure that HDs are selected for display. If so and they still don't, Reset the NVRAM/PRAM and Reset the SMC, and see if that does the trick.

You can check if you see a download action for that file tab in Tools > Options > Applications
You can delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset all file actions.

That little activity window shows all kinds of messages associated with syncing up mailboxes and the like. In my experience, the messages tend to be misleading if read literally and, generally, should be ignored.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

The apps you have purchased for your mobile device will not work on a computer. You will need to download the appropriate versions on your Mac from the Mac apps store.

We have been sending images out to contractors, and sometimes when they come back the files are having this error:

When I then try to Photoshop Script the file info it throws errors. Does anyone know what causes this error to happen?

ok, Thanks!, BUT here's the bigger issue:
We use a lot of Photoshop Scripting, and the file info is how we direct all of our workflows. when a file comes back with "the file contains file info data which cannot be read and has been ignored" error, the scripts are unable to read/write to any of the file info ever again. So not only did we lose all the info already in the file, but we can't use the file at all after this.
Additonally, we tried copying and pasting to new blank documents, but realized we needed all the paths, channels, and sampler points too.
Is there anything anyone can think of to get around this probelm? A setting, or a program to fix the metadata, etc?

I solved this by reset of the Wifi (unplug cable and power to both modem and wifi ... wait 60 sec ... plug in modem cable and power ... plug in wifi power and LAN to modem ... restart AppleTV and Mac ... Turn Home Share 'OFF' in iTunes then back "ON" ... it took ~60 sec for the AppleTV to pick up my Mac in computers.

Firefox also makes regular backups of your bookmarks in a folder named bookmarkbackups in your personal settings folder. You can restore the backup to your new Firefox, but unlike importing the HTML-format file, it is a complete drop-in replacement, so if you have saved new bookmarks you do not want to lose, the export/import method may work better for you.
By default, Windows hides your personal settings folder so the easiest way to access it is from inside Firefox. You can use either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a window showing your Firefox settings files.
You might want to back up this whole folder if you have other data you want to preserve from your XP computer.
Either way, you should find the bookmarkbackups folder here and when you click into it, find maybe 10 files with dates in their names.
The procedure to restore the file once you have it on removable media or some other convenient place is described in this article: [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]].
