All fonts are missing in indesign
I closed my file last night with master pages items and text layers locked in the layers pallette.
The file is to the point that I have master pages set with columns, and guides, and pages, and footer with text. It is all layed out with images, ready to start typography. I used Myriad pro, and I think Bell ( this may have been brought in from dafont, not sure).
When I opened the file this morning it said that the fonts were missing. I tried to find the missing fonts, but ALL the fonts are missing in the font selection window.
This was when I realized that the layers were locked. I dont know if this had anything to do with it, but Ive never used layers before, so assume it is a connection.
I tried opening a new document and there are no fonts available there either. It says times, but you cant change it. It is showing pink backgound like when fonts are missing, and just Os'.
I opened illustrator to see if the fonts are available there, and they are, no problem. It is just indesign that is affected.
Can anyone help?

I can't seem to locate my fonts....
I have the ability to type using the text tool, however, I have no ability to select a font from the drop down menu in the Character window. I can open it the window up, but when I select the drop down menu where I would normally find my fonts, it is empty. I can begin to type the name of a font in the character window, and it will come up, but it will not change my text to that font. very interesting....
I am wondering....this is the first time I have used this program since I had Windows 7 installed on my computer last week. Would this new OS be causing an issue?
I have already tried to delete the 'Adobe Illustrator CS2 Settings' folder in the AppData folder...and I have tried copying and pasting my fonts into the fonts folder in: myname/app data/adobe.
Nothing has worked.

Have you tried moving the folder (wherever, maybe to the Desktop) instead of deleting it?
Have you tried Other options , maybe especially Items 1, 7 (less likely with CS2 than with later versions), 8, 9, 11? -
Fonts are missing after reloading ID-CS3
The nightmare continues. After having a major corruption of all Adobe software about a month ago, my IT person finally had to completely wipe my machine clean and reload everything. I am on Windows Vista and using Adobe CS3 Design Standard.
Now, with everything reloaded, my Adobe InDesign fonts are missing. There is nothing in the InDesign fonts folder. What can I do to get all my InDesign fonts back?I found lists for ID CS, and Creative Suites 3 and 4. The list for CS2 appears to have been an attached PDF that is no longer attached.

Open, save and then fonts are missing
I am receiving InDesign 5.5 files from clients. I can open them, make changes, do a save-as and close. When I immediately re-open the file, I get an error that most of the fonts are missing. I am using Linotype Font Explorer X, v 1.2.3 and I understand it is the latest version. Can someone tell me why this is happening?
Umm. I will have to check. I may be saving just outside of their job folder in the our enclosing job folder. We put client files/folders into a job folder with that job number on it. When doing the "save as", normal procedure is to save just outside the original file folder, leaving original client files untouched and our files separate from theirs. I may have tried saving into the client folder, but will go back and try that.

Vista and Embedded Flash Fonts are missing?
I Just upgraded to Vista with a new development machine. Have
everything installed and good to go.
I open a previous Director File that contains swf assets and
static fonts. The fonts are simply missing. When I view the swf on
it's own... no problem and text displays perfectly. swf in Director
in Vista, no go. It worked perfectly in XP.
The files that are published with XP, the fonts in Flash
assets are all okay. Publish the exact same file in Vista, Fonts
are missing.

an installer that could just "update" the software rather than

Disappointed with IOS7, i had organized my music library as per the Genre and now im unable to hear all the songs of the same genre like in the earlier versions. The options of "all albums" and "all songs" are missing in this version of IOS. Help Please..
It would be nice if you told others the steps you've tried and/or how you used to have your setup.
Anyway have you tried tapping MORE this will then bring you to
the selection-list of Audiobooks, Genres, Compilations & Composers.
Selecting Genres gives you a list of all your music split into genres which was set within the Music downloaded via iTunes or uploaded from CD or which you may have set yourself.
Then you just select the Genre you want:
If certent songs are not correctly gategorised you may need to go into iTunes and reselect via Get-info
>Info>Genre and change it there. That way you should end up with all songs of Jazz or other in 1 place. -
Using migration assistant I transferred my complete MacBookPro to my nex iMac. Now I find out that all jampacks are missing in GarageBand. Can anyone advise? Thanks!
I would think the migration assistant transfers 100% of all contents...
When you are setting up a new Mac you can use Setup assistant the moment you boot the mac the first time. Setup Assistant will usually transfer everything. If you miss tha t moment and later launch Migration Assistant some library files will not be transferred. Migration assistant will not transfer system files, only User Files and Application files. I think, that is why your files are missing.

Best take an external drive with plenty of free disk space and plug it into your MacBook Pro.
Open the System drive, your Macintosh HD in the Finder and open the folder "Library", then "Application Support", then "GarageBand". Copy the folder
/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library/ to your external drive by dragging it there.
Then open again the folder "Library" on your Macintosh HD, and this time open the folder "Audio" inside. Copy the folder
/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/
to your externall drive. Eject the drive and plug it into your iMac.
Now compare the AppleLoops folders and instrument library folders and copy all missing items over to the corresponding folders in the iMac's Library.
Afterwards you need to reindex the loops, by dragging any loop you newly installed onto the Loop Browser in garageband, see: Rebuilding the Loop Index in GarageBand -
I update my IPhone4 to IOS6 from IOS4.3.3. My all songs are missing in the Iphone4. How to get those songs into my Iphone from ITunes. Even after sync also not coming to IPhone.
The iphone is not storage/backup device.
The sync is one way - computer to iphone.
The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one. -

I opened a logic 7 song today and had this error message pop up 'some text fonts are missing or not displayable'. I then noticed whenever I tried to mute audio (using 'Apple M') logic would crash.
Any clues what has happened or how I fix this?

GI have had this exact issue/warning when opening up older songs that I made in previous versions of Logic.
To solve it, do this procedure even if you never use the Score Editor:
1. Open the Score Editor
2. Go to Text>Text Styles (in the toolbar: Layout,Edit,Functions,Attributes, Text, View, Options
3. When you open Text Styles you will see the grid with different kinds of Fonts for the various Score Editor settings. In this grid, whatever fonts are not available on your computer will have some sort of asterisk bracket stuff instead of saying the name of the font that is already on your computer - Arial, Times, Helvetica etc.
4. Change the fonts by clicking them and selecting ones that are on your computer. If you dont use the Score Editor, it doesnt matter what fonts you put there. Anything will do but you must get rid of the columns which have got a 'hole' with brackets.
5. Save the document with the changes made - the problem should not re-occur.
PS For some reason, when booting up, Logic experiences a 'crisis' when it doesnt have previous fonts available. As I said, do this even if you never use the Score Editor -
I've installed a clean install of Mavericks and Keynote 6 (I had version 5).
Now I get the error "4 fonts are missing" when I open a old keynote presentation.
But how can I add the fonts when I don't see WHAT fonts are missing?
I can only click OK or cancel and when you click OK and select soms text and look in the TEXT panel the font says blank.
Is this just a big bug of can I see somewhere else what fonts are missing?
Thanks!I get the same error. I figured out one of the fonts, which I hadn't installed yet on the box. Didn't help. Even though the new font shows up in the font chooser after opening the presentation, Keynote insists it's missing and uses a default choice while opening the font.
I'm not playing games here; this is a teaching presentation I've spent a few hundred hours on over the last 4 years. This bug effectively breaks dozens of slides because they have builds and highlighting that were to line up with the original text. In other words, I can't use Keynote 6 with this bug. -
Italic fonts are missing in Table in PDF files when we print it out
We use Adobe reader10 to open one PDF files, fonts in Table are display correctly on screen, but italic fonts are missing in Table in PDF files when we print it out. Any ideas?

Please help! I just sync my notes to icloud of my ipad mini but after that all notes has been covered by iphone's and all notes are missing from iPad,how could i restore it?
It's very possible that you did just as you suspect. One of the later Note file over wrote the one stored on your iPad when you synced.
When one does a sync of their iPad a backup of the iPad is created first. If that backup was still available you might be able to find the Note file there. But more than likely, if you are letting the iPad and iPhones sync on their own over Wi-Fi you have over written that back up as well. -
