Why is it that something so simple can turn out to be such a nightmare
I have been a BT customer for 30 years plus 
We have BT broadband and phone
I followed the BT website instructions and in mid July gave BT ample time to transfer our services ( not the number)  as moving from Suffolk to Dorset
The first order was cancelled by email but I was encouraged to re-order which I did
This second order was then mysteriously cancelled
I then called BT to order by phone thinking that might be more straightforward but the guy had no idea and the the line was cut
I then went on live chat and the operator said nothing was my fault but it was a "technical issue" and promised that they would sort it personaly till we had a line.. That was a few days ago and nothing heard from then since
I then had another live chat today ( i wanted a record of the conversation) but this time the operator just dissapeared not confirming if our line had been cancelled even at our old addrtess
I dont expect much now from any company now but this service is just absolutely appaling
When I said I might move to another supplier I was told there would be some fees to pay but all i want is a line ( BT preferably)  and broadband but such a simple request cannot be dealt with 
I have been told now that I will get a line on 1st September ( eventhough I have been promised twice a line would be provided by todays date) but nothing has happened
I dont know is this forum can help but in desperation I thought at least maybe I could be dealing with one BT employee who might be interested and sort this matter
Any comments?

Save up some money, set it aside for a future build. There are plenty of new platforms in the works.

    You can reset a Password (lost/forgotten) set on your Mac using 'Reset Password Utility' available with OS X Utilities tool. With OS X Mountain Lion, OS X Utilities tool can be generally found on a local hidden Recovery HD Partition if your Mac has one.
    To check If your Mac has got a local hidden Recovery HD Partition, start your Mac holding COMMAND + R buttons. If you hold the keys pressed enough and there is a local Recovery HD Partition on your Mac, you will be presented with OS X Utilities window.
    Click the 'Tool' menu item and choose 'Reset password'. Terminal window appears. Type 'resetpassword' into it and press 'Enter'. Reset Password window appears with User Account Names available on your Start-up Volume. Select the User Account Name and rest is simple to follow.
    One of the advantages of this method is that it does not require any Authorization method such as administrative authentication to reset a password.
    NOTE: If your Mac does not have a local hidden Recovery Partition on its system disk, you can create one using Disk Assistant application available from Apple. Search for the Disk Assistant in the support area.

    Home and End without the Ctrl key should be sufficient to go to the top and bottom of a page.<br />
    You only need the Ctrl key if you are in a text area.
    Do you otherwise have problems with scrolling a page?
    Does the Ctrl key work otherwise?
    Did you try a new profile?
    Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

    No, you can only download content from your own country's store. You can try requesting that the film be added to the US store, but ultimately it's the film studio that will have to grant Apple a license to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • I want to run a step motor and take pressure measurements at steps of 2mm

    For a wake survey experiment about an airfoil, I would like to write a Labview VI that would move the step motor at increments of 2mm, take pressure readings (I have the pressure transducer), move another 2mm, take readings etc...for n increments. I have only a small background in labview. Can someone help me please?

    If you currently don't have any Motion hardware then you would need a PCI/PXI 7334 FlexMotion controller and a mid-760x drive/amplifier (or another drive/amplifier). Once you have the proper hardware, then you can set breakpoints in Motion to send out a trigger pulse on a digital line when you reach certain predetermined positions in your move. You can route this trigger signal over our RTSI (real time signal integration) bus to your DAQ board to take measurements at these exact instances. You can find out more information on breakpoints including example programs in LabVIEW by searching for Motion and Breakpoints in our developer zone.

    I went out and bought a Printer!! I'm sorry I picked your printer, but hey that's life.
    I just want something that when I click the "printer" icon on IE8 or in my email it prints the document (hey this is to complicated) What it actually does is print a blank page with half the page numbers on the bottom.
    I can just click print for my personal documents in my folders on my PC (that's impressive one touch printing)
    But come web pages it's a big NO NO
    I found out I need  a printer address unknown what this is for as I have an email address in fact I have a couple which do OK thank you, I don't want a silly address so long I can't remember the **bleep** thing.
    Please please tell me how to just press the print button on my web page or email and print off the document as normal as possible without coming all over the net to various HP centre based web pages for information, I have had this printer now for two weeks and I haven't printed a single thing with it apart from some document telling me my printer email address when I first pressed the APPS button (again who the hell wants APPS)

    Hi thanx for that I have checked and the right icon for my printer is showing, I have reset my settings in IE8 & tried 7 and all I can print is blank pages, I tried printing in Google Chrome and it worked by pressing print on my keyboard but again just blank pages in Internet explorer.
    I did however go to HP help pages (get this) the answer to my problem was " Print this page" on the page "I can't print"
    I couldn't make it up, well I could but the times where better then I had a canon lol

    This should be simple . . . very simple . . . but I don't think DVD Studio Pro will do it? I have a QuickTime movie - shot with the HVX200, overcranked - stunning video with numerous chapter markers created in Final Cut Pro exported as a self contained movie. I love the way you can click the little window at the lower right side of the QT player, and the chapter markers just drop drown so you can choose which one you 'd like to see.
    I'd like to create a DVD of exactly that . . . what looks like a QuickTime player where I just click the little play triangle, and it plays. To see chapter markers, just click the little number (chapter marker) at the bottom of the screen - and voila - the chapter marker dropdown comes down. Is there a way in DVD Studio Pro to simple let the quicktime movie look exactly like . . . the quicktime movie? No menus, no special screens - just the QT player window and movie in it !
    Can this be done? Thanks very much for considering.

    Had this problem before. sometimes it's the network. downloading all the photos take time.If you r so sure 1006 pics are in the photo stream, then no need to worry. It'll come. Give it time. Good things take time! <wink*>

    If you are using the iphone as designed, then all of your content should be on your computer.  Sync it back.

  • I want to erase my hard drive and reinstall  lion server. Can someone help me out?

    i have a mac mini running lion server. I want to erase all the date and start fresh. When i try to reinstall Lion it does not show anything about lion server but jut Lion. I want to make sure I do it properly. It is also asking me in which hard drive to install Lion but im unsure.

    Check in the app store under purchases both lion and server should show up there to download again.
    No need to erase both drives for a clean install just the drive you are using for the OSX. Though if you are truly starting a fresh then erase and reformat both.
    As for Upgrades. Yosemite is the only upgrade now available through the app store as is Server 4.0 for Yosemite. I have not tested the latest server yet and can not comment on it's reliability.
    Any server you set up should be thoroughly tested on a closed network before going live.

    I own the movies and I want them to stay in my iTunes library basically forever.
    But in both cases the file name no longer shows in the movie list, so I don't know how to re-download it from the Cloud.
    iTunes prefs > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
    This will show all your iTunes purchases in your library with a cloud icon down arrow. Click the icon to redownload or click on Play to stream without downloading.

    and techncially, you don't "own" the movie, You simply have a license to use it.
    Yet the first thing iTunes does when you hit the delete key is tell you that it will remove the movie forever from all devices and the library.
    Actually, no it does not tell you that.
    FYI: You should keep copies of all yoru iTnue spurahses as the labels/movie studios/copyright owners can pull their product at anytime and it won't be available to redownload.
