All Inboxes for multiple mail accounts?

I have two email accounts on my iPhone (3Gs). When I'm vieweing "All Inboxes", is there a way to color code the emails for each account? Like my work emails are tagged red and my personal emails are tagged green? Or something similar?

no

  • How to restore Mail inbox for one mail account?

I am away from home, and the inbox of one of my mail accounts on my MBP (10.7.3) has lost all its information.  When I get home I want to restore (most of) the lost data from my Time Machine backup.
However, I do not want to restore all the accounts and all the mailboxes, just the one that was lost.
How to I find the Inbox for that account, in order to use the older file in Time Machine to restore it with?
    DN

You just go to the mailbox in Mail that the messages are missing from and then, from there, choose Enter Time Machine from the Time Machine menu bar icon.  You'll see the Time Machine interface, showing the current version of that mailbox, and you can go back in time to when the messages were still there.  Then select the messages you want to restore (all of them, I'd guess) and restore them.  They'll show up in a new mailbox (Recovered Messages or something?  I forget exactly what it's called), and you can move them back to where you want from there.

  • Setting signatures for multiple mail accounts

I have two mail accounts and would like to use a different signature for each of them. You seem to only be able to select "in random order" or "in sequential order" or to add a drop down menu that allows you to make the choice each time. I have not been able to just go to each account in preferences and select a signature. This is mail v. 1.3.11. Any ideas? Thanks.

I believe this feature is available in Mail 2.x only (Tiger) -- and it doesn't work very well there either, so don't upgrade just because of this.

  • Accessing multiple mail accounts comming from same incomming mail server

What is the trick to accessing multiple mail accounts comming from the same incoming mail server with the same user ID and password?
I have a website that I run all of my mail through and I have never been able to check more than one configured mail account using "MAIL".
    Thanks

    Hi Sparky,
You can configure mutliple accounts easily enough. Preferences > Accounts, then the Account Information tab. You are providing email address, incoming server, username and password for each.
First account: [email protected]; mail.host.com; sparky; sparkypassword
Second account: [email protected]; mail.host.com; sparky; sparkypassword
Check, as noted above, that all accounts are set to enabled and to autocheck: Both settings are under the Advanced tab. Then exit and save. Now your inbox will show a disclosure triangle. Click it and you'll see both accounts.
Does that explain enough? Are you haveing a problem doing this or just weren't sure how?
    Let us know!
    Good luck,
    John

  • Downloads w multiple mail accounts

Im using a s w/ iOS 5.....I have multiple mail accounts that are setup on the phone including connection to my employers Exchange server. My problem is when I open the mail program is says there are 2 downloads pending... WBut it never completes the DL. I can't tell where (which) account the downloads are coming from and I don't know how to delete them? Help?

Each family member and regular user of this iMac family computer should have their own computer login account without admin privileges. You can disable automatic login so each user must manually enter their login password to login to their account and gain access to their Home folder/directory including all their own data stored within. Each family member creates their email account only with Mail under their login account.
OS X was designed for multiple users of the same computer in this way with each user's home folder/directory and any other data stored within kept separate and protected from other users.
You can enable Fast User Switching to make the process of switching between multiple login accounts a fast and easy process.
When one family member is done using the computer under their login account, they can simply log off or select another user via Fast User Switching. With automatic login disabled, no one will be able to login to someone else's account unless they provide their password.

This is the best and only way to make this work.

  • Multiple mail accounts - how to get around default 'send' account

I have multiple mail accounts on my iphone - personal, work, etc... No matter which account I send from, the recipient always sees it as coming from my personal mail account. I was told this is a apple restriction - that the 'default' account in your mail settings means that only one account can be set. This is not how it used to work previously...? Any suggestiongs ?

Hi DavBMan, thanks for your reply. Yes I do know about seeing the 'from' address and manually changing it. Even when I do that, even though the phone shows the correct from address (even shows in the correct sent mailbox on the iphone), the recipient still sees another (my personal) 'from' address no matter what.
Do you know of any info on the Apple support site for this? I haven't been able to find anything.
    Again, thanks for your help

  • Still no email encryption for private mail accounts?

It's really a shame that BlackBerry - alleged focused on security - still does not enable S/MIME encryption for private mail accounts (those without BES).
Before some fanboys smash me with their superficial knowledge: there is absolutely no technical need for BES or any other server feature. S/MIME is client-side encryption and works by definition with any email account regardless of the transportation protocol (e.g. POP, IMAP, Exchange) or email provider.
While I do understand BlackBerry's urge to force people into buying BES licenses to a certain degree: This limitation is a real handicap by forcing me to take out another device for reading (and sending) encrypted mails on my private account.
Even the iGuys have implemented S/MIME natively into their email client (iPhone & iPad). Working like a charm...
Could somebody please take care of this fail and fix it with 10.3?
    Thanks.
(No, sideloading an ugly Android app that's not even well integrated into the Hub is not an option)

Best of all: Rolling out this "new" feature is kind of free for BlackBerry since the functionality itself is already in the system. ^^

  • Multiple mail accounts and contacts

I have multiple mail accounts and too often it happens that I find out that I did not use the correct mail account for the person I mailed to. Wouldn't it be nice to indicate for each contact which mail account shall be used to mail to? Almost always this is contact related, isn't it? And of course this would have the required effect in OS X and in iOs.

In Mail app you can set which email account will be default to start new message (Mail->Preferences->Composing tab->Send new message from) OR if somebody sent you an email, if you will replay to it, then your email will be sent from the same email account on which you received email.

  • Problem in getting opening balance for multiple GL Account

    Hi,
I am working on a  Trail Balance Report in which i am trying to fetch the data for the opening balance for multiple GL Accounts but it is not coming accurate.. Here is the link to the code which i am using currently right now:-
    http://docs.google.com/View?id=dfxswwff_13fgpdcbgt
here i am showing the logic for the data of previous year only... i.e. data from begining to 1 day less of the date-low.

    Hi,
It is a tranparent table which is getting data from the 2 other tables, the filling of this table is right. The execution of this query is right in the program but the problem comes when it is trying to calculate the opening balance for the respective GL Account present in the query it is not doing it. i.e. if there are 2 gl account ids having 3 rows of data each it is not calculating the of it in a single row.. i hope it is clear now...

  • How can I forward a mail to multiple mail accounts that I have in a group without having to add them one by one?

How can I forward a mail to multiple mail accounts that I have in a group without having to add them one by one?

I don't think that you can. Yahoo's basic email features do not include mail forwarding.

  • Can i have different alert tones for Multiple email accounts?

Would like to have different alert tones for each email account. Is there a way to accomplish it?

        Hi there, DawgFan1980!
I understand the purpose of the different notification sounds. The iPhone only allows 1 tone for e-mail accounts. At this time, this cannot be changed.
    Thank you,

  • Custom alerts for different mail accounts?

Is there a way to set up different ringtones/alerts for different Mail accounts?  I'd like to make my personal and business emails ring/vibe differently.
    Thanks.

Nope, as you look in your settings mail only has one option to change the sound and thats for any mail that is recieved.

  • How can I set up a separate email signature for each mail account?

Any way to set up a unique signature for each mail account on the Iphone, seems to be just 1 standard signature?

Always worth jotting a quick note off to Apple about it, if you'd like to see it in a future iOS version (enough people ask for a feature, and it's more likely to happen).
