All info lost after update, please help.

So I updated my phone a few nights ago and it went fairly smoothly. It dropped my apps, but that was easily fixed by going to the app store and just redownloading them all.
Tonight, I went to update my wife's phone. I first synced it so it would make a backup of everything on it. Started the update and it dropped everything from her phone (contacts, pics, apps, matter of fact, its like its a brand new phone...) So I thought to myself, no biggie, I'll just restore it.
Now, I use the same computer for my wife and I's phones. I went to restore her phone and it only has restore points for my phone. Is there anything I'm missing? As many husband's out there probably know, this is going to be a fun conversation to have with my wife that I lost everything on her phone (albeit not my fault but that really doesn't matter).
Please, please, please someone let me know if there is anything I can do to restore her phone before this update threatens a wife's wrath being brought upon a husband just trying to make her phone faster.

Even if it told me it was creating a backup? I can understand that apple doesnt care too much about multiple people using one computer (hope you caught the sarcasm), but if it told me it was creating a packup, shouldnt it have legitimately created one? It doesnt even show one in the restore from log.

Serious Issues after update, PLEASE HELP!!!!

Two nights ago i did a software update. Shut the computer down everything was fine. Im not sure the software update worked properly. When i restarted the computer later that evening, all i got was the gray screen with the apple. A friend was searching forums for me over the internet while we were trying to fix it. Did the CTRL OPTION R P thing and that didnt work. Did the CTRL S and that didnt work. Next day went and bought a Snow Leapord cd. After three hours the status bar moved appx 3/4 of an inch. Took it to apple. They wiped the Hardrive clean and reinstalled Snow Leapord to it. Now it restarts and operates. However, it takes about 15 min for it to start up and get to the desktop and it runs TERRIBLY slow. It has a 500g hard drive that was put in 2 weeks ago. It also has 2g of RAM. After taking it to apple it is only showing 1.5G of RAM after the wiped the hard drive. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! Everything was working fabulous prior to 2 nights ago.

Well I just rewiped the hardrive clean and reinstalled snow leapord. IT WORKED!!!!!! Computer is running fast as could be, start ups in less than 30 seconds, no lagging. Im really happy as i bought this computer from a good friend and its less than a week since ive had it. I think ill just live with the ram still showing 1.5g. I think ill wait and just go get 2 4g sticks when i get around to it that way It will be as fast as possible and ill be using the ports to their full potential.

Didn't you take Back-up before updating as recommended ? If you have then just restore it back using the Nokia suite ...

New Laptop - All data lost after 3weeks! Help!!!

I purchased a HP Pavillion G6 - 2205AX with Microsoft 8 3 weeks ago and I am beginning to regret it. My last laptop an (Asus) lasted 6 years with NO problems but I was convinced to go HP.
I had set up the computer, loaded all my documents, hooked up my printer, got anti virus, loaded microsoft office...all the normal things you do when getting a computer.
It has been running perfect, I had completed a couple of assignments, downloaded a heap of documents and everything was running fine. I always shut down after use and dont leave it plugged into the wall charging if it doesnt need it.
Today, I turned the laptop on like normal and it started up with the same start up as when I first ever started it up?? It took forever to load and when I finally got into the desktop everything is GONE!!! I cant find my documents, music or photos anywhere!!!
I am desperate to find out if they are on here somewhere as I have two assignemts due on Thursday and d not want to re-do them if they are on here somewhere....
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
I have called microsoft support who told me to call hp support who told me to call laptop support who were closed and said to come to the HP website... PLEASE HELP!!!

Logic folder corrupted and all projects lost (after update onto 10.0.6 most likely), is there anyway to restore them?

Has anyone experienced Logic Pro X's Logic folder corruption after update onto 10.0.6 (released 9.1.2014)? All my projects were disappeared from the folder and cannot find them anywhere with disc recovery tools, naturally no backups for the projects and set up Time Machine few days after 10.0.6 update (quite nice!) and did not touch Logic for month or so and now all projects gone!
I would appreciate any help to get those recovered and yes the importance of backupping the projects is now finally understood by the hard way.

All info lost after software update...need help!

I was running a software update in order to make sure I had the latest on my computer. After I restarted the computer and 10.4.4 was loaded, I went into iTunes, address book, iPhoto and I nothing was there. Now this might be normal, but I was unaware of this and now I have a huge pit in my stomach because I lost a lot of information that took me months to compile. Is there anyway to retrieve any of this (pictures, addresses, music) or am I just out of luck? Thanks for all help in advance.

Turns out those error messages it gave me were because it didn't sync properly and create a backup. Which is why when I restored from backup it didn't reload my old info. Instead of assuring me that I would have the option to restore my info, it would have been nice had it told me that a backup hadn't been completed and that restoring my phone without it would leave me with nothing.
Tech support had me use my old SIM card to import my old contacts. This worked, but I've entered contacts since getting the new phone that aren't on my old SIM. And doing so left me with a bunch of re-organizing to do (deleting, combining, entering First and Last name fields...) it took me several hours.
I didn't get my appointments back, cause my old phone was just a phone, and that info wasn't on the old SIM, but I'm REALLY glad I got my contacts.

I got iCloud installed as part of the updte and after that I have no access.
When I log into iCloud there are no contacts either.

Do have media card installed in your device, Please try this Open BBM - Press the Menu key - Options - Scroll down to Backup Managment - Then Click Restore .If you have any previous Backup you will get your contacts back.

5g 30gig iPod not working after update, Please Help!

I have a 5th gen 30gig iPod and a yesterday I tried to update it. During the update after it shut itself off and started back up the updater froze around 20%. After about two hours of waiting I forced the updater to quit (restarted it with menu/select) and then tried to turn it back on to no avail. So right now the iPod is dead.
I've tried the whole hold menu/select to reset (even for up to a min) then I did the flip hold on and off and try again method. I also tried with the iPod plugged into my PC and my Mac. I also tried using the AC adapter. All attempts resulted in failure. Because it stopped working after the update I'm confident that it isn't the battery or that the iPod is physically damaged and that this is just a software issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've had the iPod for a little over a year and therefore have no warranty for it.

I am having the same exact problem as you, it just won't boot up. The apple logo lights up on the screen for a little while and tried to boot up, then the screen goes black, and it starts over, the ipod trying,(and failing)to boot up. This goes on like this until the battery is dead. I'll repost if I figure out how to fix this.

i have been using iOS 5.1.1 till today.. the connection to wifi stopped working.. it slowly faded away and today i woke up and could not connect to My wifi at all, i have decided to update my iPad to iOS 7.0.4 but the problem is there

It could be a problem with your WiFi router or your iPad.
If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPad. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
First, test your iPad on some other WiFi networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
If your iPad does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. You could try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to see if that corrects the problem. If not, contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPad is bad.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.

I don't think you're on iOS 5, I think you're using iOS 6. That's the latest version.
Unless you've used iCloud to back up your documents, you won't be able to restore them. And for future reference, you don't have to uninstall Pages to update your iPad anymore. Sorry about this.

I am a librarian at a 1:1 iPad school and we are having this problem with all ~3000 student iPads as well at ~300 teacher iPads. This is extremely frustrating. I have tried suggested fixes found on other discussion boards but none have worked.
