All iPOD music gone

Ok, now I am furious... after doing the updater and such, iTunes for some reason updated all my songs from Library to my iPOD, I saw it... took some time... now looking at my iPOD, there is nothing there! Gone! Dont know why it wiped out my music but now dont know how to get them back on the iPOD... it acts like updates are complete in iTunes... and some songs are not authorized to play on computer? and of course, none of my recently purchased music is dowloading... but at this point, all music is gone... <sigh>

  • Where's All My music gone?? Nooooo

    Hi,
Any help here will be more than appreciated.
My 30gb Ipod photo, had been playing up for a little while, by that I mean, it used to skip songs a lot and used to come up with that sad icon or folder icon.
Then one day, it decided to completely lose the plot. The ipod still starts fine and maintains it's charge fine, but there is no music on there. I had give or take 3000 songs on there, and somehow all of the music is gone. The thing is, on the 'about' title of the ipod and when i plug it into a computer, it says there is 17gb used and 11gb remaining. My photo's are still there (they would only be taking up 1 - 2 gb of space max), but just no music. So I presume it's still on there, but some reason i can't get to it. The painful thing for me is, my computer recently got stolen with ALL my music on there, so reloading the music on there is not an option. I have tried resetting it, disk mode and all other trouble shooting methods but to no avail.
Is there any suggestions about what my next options could be? Is there any option? Remembering, that my music is not backed up anywhere.
Thanks heaps to whoever helps me out.
    Cheers
    Tom

I'm having the exact same problem. I use a program called ipodrip to take songs from my iPod to my computer. If the iPod cannot be read my iTunes then an error message comes up in ipodrip and says something about hard ripping the music. Choose this option and it will start taking all the music from your iPod to your computer.
    Hope this helps.

  • Recovering music purchased on the touch (Where has all my music gone?)

I've purchased about 30 or so songs from the iTunes store that you can get on your iPod touch, and this morning when I turned on my iPod during class, all that music was gone.
How can I get all that music back since I purchased it on my Touch, since it was never saved to a computer, just the touch?

Load Itunes and log into your account then go to your account history and report the problem for each song to Apple and they may allow you to download them again. Keep in mind I said "May" as it's your responsibility to backup your songs.
This is a known bug and I wouldn't be purchasing anymore songs over wifi until Apple fixes this problem.

Unfortunately, you're pretty much out of luck.
The only remaining thing to do, which may actually be easy, is to extract the hard drive from the laptop and connect it to another computer, either using an external enclosure, or using a 2.5" to USB HDD connector. Both are available at stores like Newegg.com

  • IPod Music Gone After 10.6.5 Upgrade

I ran the upgrade last night, but got an error at the end. Looking at About, am on 10.6.5. I went into iTunes and watched it remove music from my iPod. Resynching wouldn't restore the music (Synch was in 4 steps, believe it used to be 5). Restored the iPod, but still no music.
Any one else seeing this trouble? How can I rerun the update to try and clear the issue?

Thanks all for stepping in with suggestions. During the various reboots and installs, iTunes finally gave a warning that no songs were selected. Selecting all got music resynching.
During the 10.6.5 upgrade I received an error message and during restore of iPod that too got an error message. Not sure where or why the music was unselected and removed from the iPod... but seems to be working now.

  • After syncing iphone 4s all previous music gone

Hi - I recently uploaded some CDs to my itunes library and the synced my iphone 4s. Now, all the music that WAS in my library is gone from my computer and from my iphone. I searched my PC - none of them are there, not in the recycle bin either. And they are not in the cloud either. In fact there is not even a music folder in my icloud. This represent ALL of the music I had on my library since about 2007.
I have exhausted every search for help in Apple support and otherwise. Please help.
Note: I am not a novice with computers, but I admit that I find iTunes confusing.
Note: I also have an original apple TV, which still has most of the original music.
    Thank you.

Me too.  If I sync again, and during the sync, drag and drop an App over to the right, i.e. on the phone, it will appear on the phone correctly.  This only works 1 at  a time.  I have 16 apps in "Waiting" mode.
    Anyone?

  • All my music - gone from my iPhone! What the ... is going on!?

Twice now since upgrading to iOS6 my iPhone has "lost" all my music. This seems to happen randomly when I sync with iTunes on my PC.
I went on a journey today looking forward to catching up on my audiobook and it wasn't there!
This is made worse by my massive music and audiobook library which takes all night to reload.
Cummon Apple, this is pants! Sort it out and give us iOS 6.1 or whatever it takes. I'm a long-time iPhone user and I've never known Apple systems to be this unreliable.

    Waaaaaaaaaaah!
    Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
    Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!
Would you like a little cheese to go with that whine????
    Grow up.
You are not addressing Apple here, we are users like yourself and frankly do not care to read or want to be bothered with a toddler whining.
Sync the content back, deal with it, move on.  Life is simply too short to be a whiney brat.

  • Where has all my music gone?

I recently got a new laptop and when I downloaded iTunes and logged into my apple ID, I backed up my phone to the Cloud. Then I synced my phone with this new iTunes. Now I have no music, but all my voice memos are saved as songs. How do I get my music back? (or just find the Cloud again?)
    Thanks

    Hello,
I would love to assist you with this issue!
This is a common issue with an easy fix, luckily enough for you! Open iTunes on your computer and click 'iTunes Store" then on the right hand side you will see a tab named "Purchased". (Different from your Purchased tab in your Library) Then, you should see all the music you have purchased on your account. You can then click download songs to download them.
If you have any other issues, please feel free to respond to this message and I will answer ASAP.
    Regards,
    Jake

  • For some reason is all my music gone from iTunes, but I do still have the songs on my iPod Touch... So my problem is that I don't know how to import my files from iPod Touch back to iTunes.

    Hey all
I should export my music to another program, because I do also have this MP4, which needs some files. Well, I did that and it seems like Windows Media Player couldn't open the files, but then I go back to iTunes and I see all my files are gone. Nothing is left, and now I can't syncronize files to my iPod Touch without deleting all the existing files. So now the only thing I want to know, if it's possible, is how to import music (not from Apple Store) from my iPod Touch to iTunes?

You can use one of the third-party programs discussed here to transfer non-iTunes purchased music to a computer.

  • All ipod music missing but still can be seen in iTunes

    HELP!
Equipment: iPod 60GB Photo running Windows XP (SP2) platform via USB
I'm a first time user experiencing update problems. I've already loaded 7,000 twice via auto-sync then manually the second time. The first time I my music disappeared I bit the bullet, reformatted and started again. All seemed to be fine albeit that docking and undocking seem take a lot of time - especially undocking which does not behave consistently.
Yesterday I installed iTrip and loaded the stations onto the ipod. Now all music and the stations do not show on the ipod. However when I dock the ipod iTunes shows everything. I checked About on the ipod which shows zero songs but the availabe capacity is 27.4GB so I'm sure everything is there.
HELP HELP I really don't want to re-load again. This is driving me crazy. I need this for our wedding in 3 weeks and I'm getting really nervous about whether I can trust this unit.
    What can I do?

Not knowing what to do next, I deleted one of my app and reinstalled from ipodtouch, then just tried to make it work. And mysteriously all the apps started to work again.
It beats me. How the whole ipod came back to work normally.
The only thing that was noticeable was my wifi was always on. What got in and what went out -- a miracle. without erasing anything and losing my data in any of the apps.
Does running antivirus scan when the ipod is connected to the comp cause mysteries?

  • All My Musics Gone

My hard drive is about to fail.  While I wait for the new to be delivered, I went to play my music.  Its all gone!  When I go into the music folder my itunes lib has damaged next to it?
Any ideas on how to fix this?  I have time machine so I'm not worried.
    Thanks

    Disconnect that TimeMachine drive!
Hopefully it didn't auto update with the missing files.
That's why it's better to use a couple of clones, update when you need too, rotate every couple of weeks.
Hold option bootable clones are. Carbon Copy Cloner and a HFS+ Journaled external powered drive.
