All jpgs open in elements 4.0

I did a computer restore and reinstalled Photoshop Elements 4.0 Every jpg from all my folders now opens in elements. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Elements multiple times trying to correct the problem with no results.

Right click on one of the jpeg files and select Open With>Choose Program, then select the program from the list and check Always use the selected program.
If the program is not on the list use the browse button to find it.

I have a lot of open MRP elements in the system. They are since from 2000. The MRP elements are IndReq, DepReq, PchOrd, PurRqs, OrdRes, SubReq, Deliv, ConRel, PlOrd, Prdord, SchLne. So please tell how to close all the open MRP elements. All the materials will not be having all these MRP elements. Please tell me which MRP elements should be closed in decending order i.e. what should be the sequence.

Hi Ramesh,
You need to analyze case by case basis as to which are linked & the impact of deleting them.
But what you can do is, run MRP with Planning mode as 3, this will remove all procurement proposals (planned order / purchase rqn) which are not firmed. Now you can analyze the ones which are firmed, i.e. if it has been created manually or edited manually.
The production orders, purchase orders, scheduling agreements needs to be analyzed & based on the confirmation from both operations & finance personnel in your firm, you may proceed to delete / close the same.
It would be better if you analyze them thoroughly & if you face a specific issue then revert.

JPG does not support transparency, so even if you create an oval with transparent background, the saved JPG will have white background. Instead, save it as a PNG, TIFF, or GIF which preserve the transparency.
Here is one of many ways to create your oval:
Create a new file the approximate size of the oval. Add the oval with the Custom Shape Ellipse tool, and simplify the shape layer.
In the Layers Palette, Ctrl-click the oval to select it and copy the selection to the clipboard (Edit > Copy).
Then do File > New from Clipboard. This creates the oval with transparent background cropped to the oval size.
Then save it as one of the file types that support transparency (and also supported by the application where you are sending the picture to).
Note: Is is not even necessary to do step 2. That is only if some reason you want the oval to be tightly cropped. It is sufficient to delete the Background layer in step 1 (or turn off its visibility) and save the file. The oval will appear correctly in the book with either version.

Bridge opening all .jpg in after effects rather than photoshop

I briefly used after effects earlier today and now bridge is opening all .jpg in after effects rather than photoshop. Photoshop is set as the defult and I've tried resetting preferences etc but it continues to open in after effects having to right click and opening with on every image! How can I change this back to using photoshop?

The folder view is as normal but as you can see below at the very top of bridge rather then just having the directory name it now says "Opening in Adobe After Effects..

Making bridge open in elements 6 automatically

When I select an image in Bridge it is opening with preview instead of Photoshop Elements 6.
I want to make the images open in Elements 6 automatically.

So you mean having Bridge that came with PSE 6
This is a bit tricky because we are used to the Photoshop edition and I don't know if it acts the same because I believe Bridge PSE was a bit more limited then the real deal :-).
However, like station two already stated, you need to set the file type associations.
First try Bridge / preferences and see if you have a section called File Type Associations. Then find the file type you want to open in PSE and from the button menu right choose the wanted application.
If not possible use the Finder itself for this.
Select a file you want to open in PSE, then use the Get Info command ( cmd + i) and inhere you also have the option to choose what default application to open it with.
Include the apply to all option and you should be OK.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

You have two alternatives:
(1) Upgrade to PSE 11. (2) Download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your raw files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I recommend removing and reinstalling iTunes using these steps:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

How do I open Photoshop Elements 12

I have an old Adobe Photo Shop Album Starter 3.2 that is locked up all my photos in my windows XP computer. I tried to register it again but got nowhere. The phone and chat room to Adobe was of no help. I just downloaded a trial version of Element 12. It is in the download document file. I can not get it to run or open. Any suggestions? Images won't open in Elements. Can't even create a new image.

This behavior does sound really strange. Could you provide any screenshots of your workflow?

The directions to the BadDrivers.txt file for Premiere Elements 12 running in Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 64 bit needs some clarification in view of what has been referenced.
The path in Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 64 bit
Local Disk C
Program Data
Adobe
Premiere Elements
and the BadDrivers.txt file is a file in the Premiere Elements Folder. Again, it is file in the Premiere Elements Folder. It is not in one of the folders in the Premiere Elements Folder.
And, in order to see the complete path, you need to be working with the Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active.
Have you been able to open Premiere Elements 12 Windows at all? That is, are you involved in trying to open a new project or a pre-existing project? If existing project, that will bring up a new line of questions.
If you need clarification on anything written, please do not hesitate to ask.

First we need to check , whether the LAN settings is set to detect settings Automatically or not.
Follow below steps .
1)Open Control Panel and then click on the option "Network and Internet" .
2)Click on Internet options, click on 'Connections' tab.
3)In the 'Connections' tab, select 'LAN' settings, you will be able to view the Local area network settings box.
4)Check the box-"Automatically Detect Settings" and then "uncheck" all the other check boxes like 'Use automatic configuration script', 'Use a proxy server' , Bypass proxy server' ,then click on ok button .
5)Click on "LAN settings" button again , make sure "Automatically Detect Settings" is the only option selected, keep the LAN properties window open.
Then launch Premiere Elements 12 and try to sign in.
If the settings were already set like that or you face same issue after signing in , let me know
