"All Movies" - Movies.cannedSearch

In the Finder mainpage: when I click to on the left down the search folder: "All Movies" it comes an error: The original Movies.cannedSearch could not be found.
I don't remember exactly anymore, but remember only that I was playing with it once. So I may cancel or remove something.
How can I restore this search function: "All Movies" ? or can I create a new one ?

How can I find all HD movies in iTunes?

Count me extremely confused by the iTunes movies user interface. Seems like every time I launch it, it's got a different interface.
1. How do I view a list of all available movies?
As far as I can tell, I am only able to view movies three ways: 1) Featured, 2) Top Charts, and 3) Genius. None of these is what I want. I simply want to go to a list of all movies available. It would be nice to be able to sort this list by Genre and alphabetically by title. Anyone know how I can do that?
2. How do I view a list of all HD movies?
When I entered iTunes today, it was showing me a list of all HD movies. No idea how or why it got into that state. The title bar up top said "All HD movies" (or similar), and there was a "Back" button in the upper left. I clicked "Back" and after reloading it showed me exactly the same UI: I was still looking at a list of "All HD movies". I clicked Back again. Same thing. I then clicked back repeatedly (out of frustration), and it ended me by showing the same less-than-useful UI it usually (but not always) does: "Featured" "Top Charts" and "Genius" buttons up top, and a "Genres" button in the upper left. How do I get back to viewing just a list of "All HD Movies"?

Lost & Found
Create a playlist called Found, select everything in Music and drag it into the Found playlist (it may take some time to count the tracks that are to be dropped). Create a smart playlist called Lost matching All the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Found. Your lost tracks will be in this playlist.
Optional: It depends a bit on why things aren't where iTunes expects to find them but if they are in sensible Artist & Album folders in some common location then my FindTracks script should be able to reconnect them to iTunes. FindTracks uses some fuzzy matching routines and searches for multiple potential locations. For more details see this thread. Once you have repaired the tracks that can be found you can drag the contents of the Lost playlist into Found which will update things.
Or, you can simply delete all the tracks in the Lost playlist with Ctrl-A to select them and then Shift-Delete to delete.

I have an external server that stores all my movies and music, is there a way to stream it to my apple tv? If not is there a way I can link the folders to itunes (without downloading files to computer) and will that make them view-able for the apple TV?

(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

Films are currently a one-time only download from Apple - do you not have copies of them on your computer's iTunes, or copy your purchases off the iPad first via File > Transfer Purchases before starting the update ?

How do I play all my Movies from the iTunes' Library?

How do I play all the Movies from within my LIBRARY without having to click PLAY everytime on each individual movie? All my movies in the Library have the check marks on them already.
When I play my "Music" LIBRARY, as soon as a song is over the next one starts up. Fine. Great! But, the same is not happening from within my "Movies" LIBRARY.
This play-all-Movies type of action works fine from within each of my playlists. Once selected a movie to play from any playlist, other movies will keep on playing, one after another, until told to stop. But, I also would like to play all movies from my library.
It would seem redundant to copy my entire library into a single playlist just to have this function available. Besides, every time I would add a new movie to the library, I would also have to remember to add it to said playlist.
Could anyone, please, tell me if it is possible to play all movies from within the LIBRARY? (iTunes v.8.01).

if you cant download them > email the iTunes Store emaill support adn explian the situation adn they will give you a regrant of all your purchases.

Hi, go in Settings, under Videos turn off "Show all videos" this will remove the purchased videos to be displayed in the Video app. The same can be done with the music.
As for Step 5, connect you iPad and on the summary Tab, uncheck
"Sync only checked songs and videos". Then wait, it takes a while but this made it work for me after many restore attempts.

Why is iTunes re-copying all my movies to Apple TV?

I finally got all of my movies synced to Apple TV, which took days since the transfer speed is so slow for some reason. Anyway, next thing I know, iTunes has decided to re-copy all of my movies to Apple TV, and begins the whole laborious process again. I checked the Apple TV and all the movies were still on there. I had added 2 new ones, and I have it set to sync all movies, but why would it sync movies that have already been copied? I let it run for a while but many hours later when it had only finished a couple of movies, I stopped it. But I'd like to understand what happened so I can prevent it from happening again. Any ideas? TIA.

If I were you I would contact the iTunes support team directly. I once had a problem where my iTunes gift cards were not redeeming, but once I contacted the iTunes support team via email, they were able to fix everything.

ATV not syncing all of movies

Just purchased new macbook 2 months ago and aTV; have installed all updates including new itunes update. Everything was working fine until yesterday turned on aTV and about 1/3 of movies in itunes not showing up in aTV and will not sync. Can't figure out why. All my movies are in the same format and were working great last week (syncing/streaming). I can add new movies to itunes and they will sync/stream just fine. I also click in itunes to create aTV movie on one movie that won't sync and it says it is allready in the aTV format. All my movies play in quicktime and itunes just fine. They all sync with ipod touch and play just fine.
Any help would be great.

could be a corrupted iTunes library file... (i.e. not the folder, but the text file that has all the info about the media in iTunes)
just to get it working.. sounds like you could just go to movies in iTunes do select all (Cmd + A)... press delete (when/if asked choose.. don't move to trash) and then select all your movies in the finder and drag them back into the iTunes window again... from what you've said this will likely work too.. might try deleting one and put it back and see if that works first.
or if you wanted to start from scratch... you could actually delete the iTunes library file (it's file in the iTunes folder that holds all the info about what is in iTunes).. remove all the content in iTunes go to movies, music etc and delete everything.. remember to choose not to move to trash. then add it all back (can just grab the containing folder (iTunes folder if that's where everything is) you can take the whole folder and drop it on the iTunes window don't need to select each file.. which would take forever) and you will have a fresh, iTunes Library file.
remember if you have things stored on different drives and you don't want them in the iTunes Folder press ctrl as you are dragging and they will not be copied into the iTunes library and just a reference to their location will be noted in the iTunes library.
[edit] to see the other checkbox just open up iTunes... click music or movies.. does't matter.. look at the list of any media an to the far left of the list are checkboxes... these turn off syncing to iPod and appleTV... maybe you just didn't notice them before? but just in any list of anything has this checkbox off to the far left of the list... there is a checkbox for each piece of media.

1 here i have a requirement that i need to restrict all goods movements in the month for all materials(SFG,FG) untill the latest costing run(standard cost estimate) on 1st of each month.
2. Can we restrict the status of process order in such a way that Conformation can be done only after the goods issues against production order. The goods receipt can be done only after the conformation of the process order.

Procedurally you can block, by not opening the current period, before the costing run is completed, just when you wanted to release the cost estimate, at that time you can lock all users and then open the next period and then release your cost estimate and then unlock all the users. You need to work with your Basis/MM/FICO guys to have this procedure implemented.
On the GI Check before confirmation and Confirmation check before GR, you can use Confirmation and GR releated User exits to check. There are many posts on this topic, a simple search on this forum would take you to the thread.

How to block all goods movements incurs to a warehouse.
I am trying to execute LX23 (Stock comparison IM/WM) and try to remove the differences using batch input file.
SAP document indicates the prerequisite to use this feature is that all inventory movements to the warehouse be blocked before clearing the differences (i.e. adapt the IM figure to that of WM figure).

I think the requirement here is to block inventory movement (GR, GI, PCN etc.) to storage locations which are connected to your warehouse. Blocking movement on storage types in your warehouse does not serve this purpose.
Is it really necessary to block inventory movement when running LX2? LX23 eventually will need to correct the stock via IM posting at the end.
Anyway, if storage location level authorisation check is not currently in use in your system (OLMB -> Authorisation Management -> Authorisation check on storage location), you may try to activate authorisation check on storage locations connected to your warehouse so that those who has no M_MSEG_LGO assigned won't be able to post inventory movement to the warehouse.

All my movies are in 4:3 scale. I need to finalize a dvd, and when the movie enters in iDVD, burns in 16:9 format. What must I do?

I use always the same Easy SepUp in Final Cut. My movies is compressed as DV NTSC in 4:3 format.
I need to finalize a dvd, and when the movie enters in iDVD, the preview appears already written in green "widescreen preview", and so the finallized dvd goes to 16:9 format.
I checked in Idvd, and the size is choosed to 4:3.
Interestingly, I've used iDVD several times, including by using templatesmade to 16:9, and changing the format to 4:3 it always worked well.
Maybe is an Idvd update that causes it?

Sorry,I know this is a month late, but I think I remember this happening to myself some time ago. As I can best recall, I believe I had used an MP3 music file in my project (exported from FCP 7) and that was the cause in some strange way. I remember deleting a file (again, I believe the mp3 file) and then it worked fine as 4:3.Not positive, but I hope this helps.

How do I move all my movies onto an external hard drive and still run imovie

My Mac hard drive is full due to 300GB's of movies. I don't want to lose the movies and still want to work on them/create projects etc.
I've bought an external hard drive so have copied and pasted all the movies across from MAC hard drive to external hard drive.
I want to delete the movies off the MAC hard drive but still ensure Imovie picks up the movies from the external hard drive (continuously plugged in).
Can anyone let me know how I can do this?

In regard to some versions of iMovie - and to ALL Video workings on a Mac
All - iMovie - all versions, FinalCut, Adobe Premiere etc etc
External Hard Disk - MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted - Else broken files and all kinds of trouble
and rather a FireWire or Thunderbolt connected ext. drive - as USB/USB2 performs badly to me and especially when filling up, and when I use HD-Material (for SD-Video quality it may work better - but to a severe quality loss)
iMovie'08 and '09 and '11 ( Don't have iMovie'13 version 10.0.x)
DO not move or alter ANY video material - On DeskTop/Finder and in any folders named anything like
iMovie Event's - or -
iMovie Project's
If moved to e.g. another hard disk - the link back to iMovie app is broken - and this can be anything from HARD to IMPOSSIBLY to mend !
BUT instead.
Connect new (hfs-formatted) ext hard disk
Start iMovie
Move Event's and Project's - within the application
and now links to material is preserved - and space gained on the Start-Up (Macintosh HD) Hard Disk
