All my collections are gone!
I had a catalogue with 4 or 5 collections filled with pictures in each with stars and color filters. I just went to go open my collections to export the pictures and all my collections are gone and I did not click any thing to reset or delete anything. Only a small portion of the pictures have a star rating but none of them have a color filter. Please help me asap!
Are there no adjustments in History, for the ones w/o any star ratings, just the import line and nothing else?
Check to see if you have opened a backup catalog:
Find out where the current catalog is opened from:
LR -> Edit -> Catalog Settings… -> General (tab)
What are the Location and File Name shown on the General tab?
Then lower down on the General tab, make note of the value of the “Back up catalog” setting then change it to When Lightroom next exits, then exit LR and look where the backup location is as it prompts you to confirm the backup, then skip the backup.
Then go back in to LR and change the backup preference to what you want it to be if it’s not already that.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
In the unlikely event that your media has been wiped from your computer see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Look in your user folder/Pictures. Is the Library there?
Try rebuilding the library.

I just simply turned on my computer and clicked FireFox as always. Looks like some updates installed and now all my bookmarks are gone. I've looked at all related troubleshooting answers and nothing works. How do i get my bookmarks back?
A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

I just created a new iPhoto library with holding the option key down and then opening iPhoto with version 7.1.5. I changed the name of the first library to iPhoto library 1 and now I all my photos are gone. My operating system is Mavericks.
launch iPhoto wile holding down the option key and select the original library - when you create a new library of course it is empty
And you seriously need to backup your iPhoto library and purchase and install iPhoto '11 version 9.5.x from the App store and download and run the iPhoto library upgraded \then run the new iPhoto - 7.1.5 is not fully compatible with Mavericks

My friend wanted to get some music off my itunes - when syncing it it said she had to update her phone software first - which it did. Now all her photos are gone. When we tried to restore the last back up - the only one was from when she used my itunes 6 months ago which was from her old iphone. So now it has put all her photos from her old phone onto her new iphone and deleted all the new ones. We cannot find her new photos. Please help and there was 100 new pics. Is there any way we can get them back. I already have the program Asoftech - but it doesnt seem to register the iphone only C and D drive. Please help!

It restored the backup that was made on your computer 6 months ago, which did not contain those photos. You're wasting your time trying to find them on the phone. They don't exist.
Hopefully, your friend syncs her phone to her own computer on a regular basis. She needs to plug her phone into her computer and restore it from her last backup. That will restore it to the state it was in when the backup was made.
She also needs to get in the habit of extracting the photos on a regular basis, like she would from any other digital camera. -

You should be importing pics to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. Nothing should only be on your iphone. You should keep everything on your computer.
If you have failed to do this, then they are gone.
You can try restoring from backup. -

Make sure that you choose Mail>View>Show Mailbox List, then hover your cursor over one of the subordinate mailbox categories, and you should see "Show." Next click on "Show."

Flagged email synced between devices
