All my compiled apps show visual navigation on touchscreen
Hi all, every app i compile on Java ME SDK 3.0 shows on a touchscreen with a visual navigation circle and A,B,C,D buttons on the bottom.
Same program in other non-touchscreen do not show this.
I am using the DefaultCldcPhone1, but also have changed to DefaultFxTouchPhone1 to see it it was the problem.
Can someone please tell me how this is happening and how to change it?

I bought a new MacBook Pro and I do not have a backup. I do not want to search for all my apps and re-download them. Is there an easy way to download all the app purchases that I have?
You can redownload the apps that are still in your country's store (and if you haven't changed countries since buying them) via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage :
There should be a 'download all' button at the bottom right of that screen.

WiFi Scanner apps show my network as open
I am running Mac OS 10.8.2; I use Airport Utility 6.1; my base station is an Airport Extreme 4th Gen. I have followed to great detail the instructions and believe I have a 'secure' network but have a question or two. My password for the base station and the home network is long, non-dictionary, uses symbols, caps and lower case, etc. I use WPA2 for security. I have three wi-fi 'scanner' apps: Apple Store's WiFi Explorer; iStumbler (free); and Air Radar (paid). I always find over a dozen networks or more running all the time across all the scanner apps, including mine. I am very concerned about someone else getting onto and using my network's bandwidth. All the scanner apps show WPA2 security for my home network, but Air Radar says my network is an OPEN NETWORK and all the others have a lock by their name. Is this a quirk of AirRadar, or do I have an open network? I also have my network 'hidden' but it shows up anyway across all 3 scanner apps. Does having my network 'hidden' really mean anything as it shows up anyway? I am pretty sure I am okay but with so many computer uses in the immediate area, I am concerned if someone can get aboard my network. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. I seriously doubt someone was using your connection. Download speeds are influenced by many factors. Your connection to your router, which even with the slowest form of WiFi available today that shouldn't be a factor as all current WiFi is faster then 99% of ISP supplied internet connections, the speed of your connection to your ISPs network, overall internet traffic and the speed of the connection the site you are downloading from has. And to top it off the overall health of your computer. If your computer is buggered up in some way it will affect all speeds the computer runs at.
Personally I don't care for the Apple branded routers, Airports, as they need a special Apple program to access them and it has been my experience they really aren't that good of hardware. Just because it says Apple on it doesn't make it special and or the best piece of hardware inside the box. And that goes from every Apple product on the market today. -
Mail.app shows my .mac inbox is empty. all other tools show it is not.
a few days ago mail started acting strangely on my .mac account. it would indicate that i had a large number of unread messages in my .mac inbox, then when i looked at the inbox in mail, it would show up as empty.
i started to think that there must be some kind of problem, so i quit mail and checked via webmail. webmail can see all the msgs in my inbox. i quit and try mail.app again. same result (mail shows 0 messages).
i try forcing a "synchronize" from within mail (from the mailboxes menu). there is no change. i try a "rebuild" command from the mailbox menu. there is no change.
i try firing up entourage and it sees the mail in my inbox. i quit entourage and try mail again. no change (mail shows 0 messages).
i suspect that there is some kind of corruption or something either in the local state on my machine or perhaps a message which has some malformed headers or something which is sitting in my inbox and causing mail.app to be unable to properly download the mailbox contents.
i tried using webmail to go in and either delete the messages or move them aside to a separate temporary mailbox. back in mail.app, it sees the new temporary mailbox and at first indicates that it has ~40 or so unread msgs (which is true plus about 10 more read msgs), but when i actually click on the mailbox to look at it, it appears empty. i reconfirmed that webmail and entourage can both see ~50 msgs in the temp mailbox, but mail.app shows zero.
also, in addition, the same problem still holds for my inbox. so now when i send myself a test message, mail.app temporarily indicates that i have new mail, but then when i look in my inbox, nothing appears in mail.app. if i quit and go look at my inbox with webmail or entourage, i can see the new mail as expected.
i looked in system.log, console.log, and mail.log and didn't see any log msgs that seemed to relate to whatever problem mail was having reading the headers/contents from the server.
so i was trying to fix the problem by clearing out my inbox using webmail, but instead it appears that i have merely replicated the cause of the problem so that it now affects two folders instead of just one.
does anyone know of a way to definitively clear out a mailbox altogether on the server? it would be reassuring to know that there was not some hidden corrupt msg sitting in my inbox messing things up.
any other suggestions for how to get out of this state? thanks.
Mac OS X (10.4.5)oh forgot to mention a couple other clear signs that mail.app is "confused" here:
if i right click on a mailbox in the mailboxes window and select "get info..." (a very useful command hidden in an odd place), it shows me that right now my inbox has 3 messages and my temp mailbox has 50 messages. but when i look at either of these mailboxes normally, they show up with zero messages.
if i send myself a test message and then tell mail.app to check for mail, the new message indicator comes on and my inbox temporarily shows up as having 3 new messages. then when i click on it, it shows up as empty and the new message indicator goes away again. if i repeat this it will say 4 new messages, etc.
so it's acting like there's some kind of corrupt partial message at the top of my inbox that mail.app can't read and keeps choking on. i've had this happen before on other imap servers a while back. for those servers, i had normal login access, so i could go and edit or delete the offending file. in this case (apple's .mac server), i don't know how to do the equivalent. -
I just bought the Launch Pro app. Within the app it shows all supported apps, one of them is Recall, I click on Recall it goes to the App Store but doesn't open, it's just a blank white square, all the other apps that I have tried open fine. I've long suspected that my X is getting EVERY WORD that's spoken in my house and every email, web site that I go to...every everything. Can someone please help. I found smart mailboxes on my lap top that I didn't set up, the night that I discovered these my laptop crashed. Help help help.

How do I delete an app on iTunes? I can delete the apps that are shown in the library of iTunes by right clicking and hitting "delete". But all of my apps aren't shown in the library (I don't understand that either). I can see all downloaded apps in my account though. But I don't see how to delete them from there.
If you plug in your iphone, click on it in iTunes, and go to the apps section, it should be checked to sync apps if you want them to show up in iTunes as well as your iPhone. Once synced they will show on both.
Then if you click Apps under the Library header in the left panel of iTunes, you'll be able to permanently delete apps, removing them entirely from iTunes. Highlight an app's icon or a group of icons by holding down Shift and hit the delete key (or select Edit > Delete from the top menu or right-click on an icon and selecting delete). -
I have logged in to my itunes account on a different computer and none of my purchased music is showing up. I also have plugged my iphone in to get updates but it says I will lose all media and apps if I don't update on the computer where I sync everything. I have authorized this new computer so I don't know what the problem is. I can't get on my old computer with my itunes account because the computer is broken. Not sure what to do

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one. -

I keep getting the error message "-42408" and all of my apps got deleted on my iPhone. It says that I need to authorize my computer, so I tried than and that's when the error message showed up. I'm pretty ****** and want my apps to be back on my iPhone. Please help.
What version of iTunes are you using? The error you references seems to be connected with iTunes 9.0.4. That version of iTunes is not compatible with iOS 6. You need to update to the current version of iTunes.

When I double click Home button to change apps quickly, only the four apps that reside on the task bar show. All of my apps would show prior to my reset of the iPad last night (to fix the Home button). Any ideas on how to fix?
My undertanding is that when you double-click the home button, the apps that are shown are those that are currently active. The reason you are not seeing all of them is that not all of them are active. Before you can access an app in the multitask bar, it has to be turned on first. As a test, try accessing the Notes application. Return to the home screen by clicking the Home button ONCE. Once the home screen appears, double click the home button to bring up the multitasking bar. The Notes app should be on the far left.

I just installed ios7 on my iPhone 4s. It seems to be working fine but all of the apps I had previously installed are gone. They show up in my app store as purchased, but the shortcuts are gone. Does anyone know how to get the shortcuts back? Thanks!
I updated via my iPhone 4s. The apps were on my iPhone 4s. That's all the information that I have. The update to ios7 seems to have gone smoothly - everything else is working, phone texting, email, internet, etc. But all of the apps I had installed over the past year are no longer showing up as shortcuts. No facebook, no twitter, no espn, etc. They are all still listed in my app store as purchased, but the shortcuts and my folders are gone. Thanks.

The screen where my apps show on all the pages is not letting me drag them. The screen looks kind of gray. What do I do to be able to move them to different home screens, and check, and uncheck the apps in the list

Yahoo app on iPhone seems to be sending spam to all my yahoo contacts. I know this because my "Sent" folder on my app shows i sent it out at 5 AM this morning and I was not using my phone at that time.

I have face time installed on my iMac but when I go to the app store it doesn't show installed and has a.99c price. All other apps show installed. Is this an upgrade?
The first thing to do: Make a backup of your iPhoto Library. Don't update iPhoto without having a backup of your iPhoto library.
When I tried I received the following message This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled.
This error message means, that you did not yet associate your copy of iPhoto (preinstalled on your Mac) with your AppleID by clicking the "accept" button at AppStore "Purchased" page.
First try to "Accept" iPhoto on the Purchased tab and try, if you then can update iphoto from the Updates tab.
Now check the "Purchased" tab. Is iPhoto among your Purchases to "Accept" or "Install"? Then accept and/or install.
If it is not possible, delete iPhoto from the Applications folder .
(don't empty the Trash).
If it is not among your Purchases, open the AppStore main tab, search for iPhoto using the Search field, and buy it from the AppStore. If you already owned any version of iPhoto '11, this purchase should be free, from earlier versions it may be a paid upgrade.

I can delete the existing software and re-install but I don't want to lose all my photos.
Your photos are in your iPhoto Library in your Pictures folder and not in the iPhoto application. Just back up the iPhoto Library as a precaution, but reinstalling iPhoto will not delete your iPhoto Library.
