All My Files Gone! After I Changed My Account Name. Please Help!
I changed the account name on my computer and then the next time i turned it on everything was gone; my apps, docs, media, and other files. I don't know if it was because I changed the account name and some how switched users or what happened. I know all my files are still on my computer i just want to know how to get all my stuff back. It would make me ecstatic if i didn't have to get all my music, photos, and apps back; so if you could help me that would be great. If you have questions about my problem, feel free to ask.

All the applications gone after region change.

I'm just wondering why there is no warning or something for the user who is changing his accounts region settings?
Everithing he purchased before will be lost and I guess it is important enough to be underlined once again during the region change
It doesn't seem fair that user would need to buy everithing once again and is not warned about that even with a single word.
The procedure is the following now:
- user opens his account information
- user checks information and realises that it is not correct now because he moved lets say from Russia to Poland.
- user changes the region using the information about his new credit card (Itunes crashes during this procedure, but maybe it is OK :/ )
- all the application are gone.
- PROFIT (but not for the user of course).
It is easy to guess that this user was me
If I had been warned somewhere in the middle I wouldn't change the region of course, I would rather create new account for Poland.
But who cares about the user, right?Im having the same issue. It didnt happen right after the update. I updated at 1pm and it happened at 9pm. My memory is still there for them when i plug it into iTunes but the memory is now under "other" instead of apps.

All photos gone after setting up iCloud?? Please help!!!
Hi, I've had my iPhone for about a month decided and decided to finally set up my ICloud. It said I needed to verify my email address, which I did. As soon as my iCloud account was set up, I noticed that all of my photos were gone. Somebody please help!! Why did it do this and is there any way I can get my photos back???
iCloud doesn't "delete" photos. You have lost them some other way. Most people sync to different computer and loose them or sync with computer that that has none saved. Camera roll remains no matter what computer you sync. Restoring may have erased them. If they were from photo stream sign into icloud at settings>icloud> and turn on photostream.

Files gone from external upload from iMac. Please help
I uploaded files from my iMac onto a g-drive slim to upload to my MacBook Pro, lost all data on both the g drive and my iMac, is there anyway to retrieve the files I lost?
Didnt back anything up, I may have forced ejected the external, all files are gone and not on the Mac which were saved until the attempted transfer

I have QuickTime Player 7.6.8, I cannot update or remove it b/c I am missing QuickTime.msi file. It is gone and I need it back. Please help.
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.) -

Since wednesday morning the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth of my iPhone 4S have not been wirking any more. They appear as "unactive". I restored the system, updated it to 7.0.4., but nothing changed. Can anyone please help me?Last night I wiped the phone and did a complete restore. Lo and behold the wifi was working again after the restore finished. GREAT. 30 minutes later went to look at the phone and no wifi again, great!
So if my wifi chip coincidentally fried itself during the update, I supposed it coincidentally unfried itself during the restore, only to fry itself again later. Clever chips these. -

Security question keep saying they are wrong and I know they are right. I can't change them cuz when I try it tells me to answer the questions. I have tried everything changing my account and all and still can't get it can some one please help me out.
Go here and select "Reset your password." You will receive an email message with a link that bypasses the questions. You will then be able to select and answer the questions again.

I lost my iPhone 5S battery percentage after I upgrade the system to the newest one. I do turn on the percentage in battery usage, but it doesn't work. I also tried to restart my phone but nothing changed. Could somebody please help me? Thank you!

I recently moved to a new MacBook Air with a physically larger hard drive. I had a coworker move over all of my software and data, and everything seems to be playing nicely. All of the current apps I have in place like Photoshop and Illustrator are working just fine.
Unfortunately when I try to download other apps in Creative Cloud it just shows Download Error. I tried reinstalling Creative Cloud, which did nothing.
I should note that when I moved to the larger machine I changed user account names. Whenever I try to use FileSync, it says it is looking for a folder in the old user account folder. This occurs even after trying to change where that folder is in the Preferences.
Additionally I have updated from Mavericks to Yosemite. I do not know what effect that had.
Any insight how to restore my ability to get downloads and updates? Or perhaps how to fix my FileSync?I think I have it resolved by uninstalling everything and running the cleaner per these instructions: Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

Else the only option you have is to fight with the Apple Store "geniuses" to get a free replacement for out of warranty 4S devices. Or try a third party repair like iFixit. The wifi chip might cost you 60-80$ but it is better than paying Apple 200$.
Overheating is the culprit in 4S devices. And its been getting worse with ever successive iOS 7 update. I think 7.0.4 was the final nail in the coffin.
They are not getting my money anymore.. I've had iPhones every since they launched... but no more. Feels like a dead investment after facing this issue. I can never sell my iPhone 4S even if I want to. There have been cases where users just sold their 4S devices, the new owner updated to 7.0.4, wifi stopped working and the seller had to give a refund.
I'm basically sitting on a 650$ white brick. Hmm... I wonder if white bricks sell higher than the standard red bricks

TBH, I can't get a replacement because I am in India where 4S was never launched as an unlocked device and there are no Apple retail stores. Only resellers here like Vodafone/Reliance/Airtel. To change your iCloud ID, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
To change the ID on your Mac, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, choose Delete for all the prompts (your data will still be in iCloud), then sign back in with the changed ID.
