All my internet on my iPhone 4S is being used.
I have never had a problem with my internet, i get 500MB a month and i never go over, however since the iOS6 update all my internet is being used and i am left with none 2 weeks into my contact. i connect to wifi when i can which is the majority of the time, i close all my apps turn mobile data off and it is still always gone!? if anyone has any ideas why it keeps going or how i can stop it it will be a great help.
Manual push and fetch will not use internet. The problem may lie with the new maps integration - it is constantly getting information wherever you are.

I assume that you're asking if you can shut off cellular data (as no individual can shut off the Internet! )? Yes, you can turn off cellular data and use the phone features (except for MMS which requires cellular data) and access the Interenet via WiFi.

my iphone 4s is being used on car stereo via usb port on the old ios system it would play music and when you turned the the stereo off would play where you stopped it i have the settings in itunes on shuffle all and repeat all , since the update to iOs7 all it does now is return you to the first song in the A play list and not where you left it. i have even seen it happen was looking at screen and had song in middle of song and turn stereo on and hey presto back to the being of the A's.

All contacts disappeared from my iphone when trying to use icloud. What happened?
In order to set up Groups, I was advised to install CopyTrans (free version).
I have also set up and use ICoud.com through my PC to make Groups and arrange contacts.
But now I have NO contacts in my iPhone. When I close the Contacts App and reopen it, some appear. But when I touch 'Groups' they all disappear again.
How do I access all 700 contacts stored on iCould?
When I Synch with my PC (which uses Outlook) all those 500 contacts are added AGAIN and AGAIN forcing me to delete duplicates constantly.
And then when I turn on the iPhone and touch Groups - they disappear again.
I switched from BlackBerry - was this a mistake?Suggest you consider using an app to back up your contacts. This will allow you to easily restore them if this happens again. One I can recommend is My Contacts Backup Pro, although I'm sure there are others that work as well. The app will back up your contacts as a vCard attachment to an email. Send the email to yourself and save either the email or the attachment. If you ever need to restore your contacts you can just tap the attachment to import them back to your phone.
Then, as mentioned in the other post, try saving your photo stream photos to your camera roll, delete the iCloud account, provide your password and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your data will still be in iCloud), then sign back in. Hopefully it won't happen again after that. -

There are none. If the find feature of your iPhone's iCloud account was not enabled, it is not findable at all. And if it has run down the battery, been turned off, or otherwise has no network connection it is not findable either. If someone has it and has restored it as new, then it is also not findable remotely.
In any of those cases, you have no options but to look for it yourself, report it to the police and your carrier. If it was not secured with a passcode lock, you should change all your online passwords immediately. -
Apps won't update on iPhone 4 not being used as phone
I replaced my iPhone 4 with an iPhone 4S. I'm using the 4 as a media player and wifi enabled device, not a phone.
When I ask the App Store to update the apps that need to be updated it askes me to try back later. Instead of updating, the apps are grayed our and give the "Waiting..."message.
I'm using a fast wifi connection and the iPhone is 6 feet from the router.
Any idea why the updates aren't successful?It's not an issue of OS 3.1.3, as the update used to work for months - it can only be due to changes Apple made to the app store itself. Without OS 4.x (which will NOT be installed on my 3Gs for several reasons (no jailbreak)) there is no other way left than to manually locate the apps to update and install them as if they were just bought (you have already bought ... must be confirmed too everytime) - and an "update all" would also "upgrade" several apps rendering them unuseable as the developers thought it would be a great idea to make OS4 a minimum requirement.
Only two days ago I was able to compare my 3Gs with OS 3.1.3 with one that had OS 4.2.1 on it - anything that was chosen in Safari took THREE times as long to load on OS 4 as on OS 3.1.3 - even any simple photo.

In fact it's my second, as I had to get it replaced after accidentally installing OS 4 on my first one, which made it heat up like he'll and get cracks in the shell. The warranty replacement came with OS 3.1.3 on it, and that won't change until it dies.

I'm having trouble connecting to apps, itunes store, internet on my iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.4. I am currently connected to a perfectly running WiFI connection. This just started happening today (2/19/14)! Why am I not able to connect anything? I've tried ALL the fixes suggested. HELP!!!!!!!!! You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPhone a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the "i" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPhone (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc. -

iMessage requires data. You need to have an active internet connnection, either wi-fi or cellular. If you are not connected via wi-fi, then you would need a cellular data connection. If you do not have that, then you will not receive the iMessages. Either get the cellular data back, or remain connected to wi-fi, or you will have to disable iMessage and ensure that you have an SMS texting plan with your carrier.

Now the first question is, when you are saying connecting to personal hotspot, have you always been using the iPhone to connect to the internet? Are you someplace where the only place to connect is available via tethering to the iPhone's celluar network? Or do you have other options? -
I have an iPhone 4 (IOS 4.3.1) and it was synced and backed up today.
I wanted to upgrade to the latest ios on iTunes (today's date is 3rd Jan 2013), it seemed to download ok (it took about 30 minutes or so), but when it tried to update onto the iPhone (I think this was what it was doing!) I got an error message that had code 3014 in it. Nowhere on Apple's website can I find a way to resolve this error code.
I then thought I would just try again from the beginning, but I then got an error message saying that if I continued I would lose all the contents on my iPhone so I cancelled it as I don't want to lose everything on my phone.
Can anyone help me as I am not very good at technical things and I really want to upgrade the ios on my iPhone without losing all the data I have on there already. An idiots guide would be great.

Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.
