All my mail links come up with "No associated application could be found". What should I do?
All the links on my emails come up with the error message: "No associated application could be found". Can anyone advise how to fix this? Thanks
Hi...
Quit your mail app.
Open Safari. From the menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the General tab.
Click the pop up menu next to: Default web browser
Select the browser you want to use to open links.
Open mail and try a link.

Try to open mail message shows-no associated application could be found.
Looking around, you seem to be all over the place on this.
Try resetting Launch Services:
See here: http://macs.about.com/od/usingyourmac/qt/remove-duplicate-applications-from-open -with.htm
There is both command line instructions and links to GUI-based programs you could use. -
Having trouble trying to open links on my recieved mail. The only response I get when I click on the link is, "No associated application could be found".
How can I correct this problem? What type of file is it? What is the extension (the 3 letters after the . (DOT)) of the file?
Could be it is a Windows Exe file and simply will not run on a Mac. Which is good because anyone that would send you a excute (.EXE) file is up to no good. just my opinion. -

I'm getting an error message when I try the click on a link in an email. No associated application could be found. How do I fix this problem?
Is this a one-off or a general problem? If a one-off, is it a link to a web page or something else? If not a web page, try control-clicking on it and choosing to download the linked file. This will at least access the file though it might be to something you don't have an application to open with. If you do this, what sort of file do you get? - select it and hit command-i to get information on it.

I not able to open any links in the emails I receive and get an "Error: No associated application could be found" when I click on a link. HELP!! What's going on? This happened after I downloaded Chrome and then decided to delete it.
I have Lion and I just came across this link and it took care of the problem.

In all my incoming messages, links do not work. The error message reads=No associated application can be found. Any hints?
Open Safari. From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the General tab.
Select Safari from the pop up menu next to: Default web browser
If that doesn't help, launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk Permissions
Restart your Mac when it's finished.
Try Mail.

None of the links in any of the four email accounts I have in Mail will work. If I click a link within the email, I get an error message as above. I can't figure out how to fix it.
Not exactly sure which action is responsible, but full function has been restored. I restarted computer and I "refreshed" Firefox. One way or the other the problem has been resolved.

When I click a link in email from the dock I get "no associated application could be found", however if I used comcast email the link will open.Does anyone know how I can enable the links to open in my apple email account on the dock?
Barney,
I have four groups.
I just typed the name of one of those groups in the To field on the iPhone's email, and received:
Invalid Address
"<group name>" does not appear to be a valid email address. Do you want to send it anyway?
I clicked continue and it remains in my outbox.
Help is appreciated.
Thanks,

iCloud pushes all your photos to the My Photo Stream album on your devices and computers, and manages them efficiently, so you don’t run out of storage space.
Your iOS devices keep a rolling collection of your last 1000 photos in the My Photo Stream album. From there, you can browse your recent photos or move the ones you like to your Camera Roll or another album to keep them on your device forever.
(Here's that part I'm bolding for you to reference): Because your Mac and PC have more storage than your iOS devices, you can choose to have all of your My Photo Stream photos automatically downloaded. In iPhoto or Aperture preferences on your Mac, select Photos (or Photo Stream) > My Photo Stream > Automatic Import. All of your photo stream photos will be imported into your Events, Projects, Photos, Faces, and Places folders in iPhoto or Aperture. On your PC with My Photo Stream enabled in the Control Panel, all of your photos will be imported into C:\\Users\<user name>\Pictures\iCloud Photos\My Photo Stream. For iCloud Control Panel 2.0 to 2.1.2 users, the path isC:\\Users\<user name>\Pictures\Photo Stream\My Photo Stream .
Exactly. It keeps a collection of the most recent 1000 photos in your Photostream Album on your iOS device. That's the limit of the displayed images on an iOS device. Not the upper limit of storage. It's like the call history. You can have more than 100 calls, but only the most recent 100 calls show on the device. You can still get your entire call history from your wireless carrier. And you can still download all of your Photostream photos from Photostream using iCloud Control panel on a PC, or the iCloud option in System Preferences on a Mac.

My Photo Stream upload limits
The My Photo Stream limits below are established based on anticipated upload patterns. Currently, My Photo Stream upload limits are as follows:
Uploads to My Photo Stream per hour: 1000 photos
Uploads to My Photo Stream per day: 10,000 photos
Uploads to My Photo Stream per month: 25,000 photos
If you exceed one of these limits, your uploads to My Photo Stream will be paused temporarily and you may see a notification message on your device. Your uploads will resume automatically after you no longer exceed one of the limits, such as in the following hour or on the following day.
You can upload 10,000 photos in a single DAY.
