All my music on my itunes has now got a ! symbol next to it and no music will transfer to my iphone. Why is this?
Please can someone help me get my itunes in shape?
I started off with an iPod a couple of years ago to which i set up an iTunes account on my home computer. I thought that i could open itunes on any computer, so i opened itunes on my work computer too, and started playing music at work too. Opening itunes from computer at work to home gave me a few issues, but i always seemed to finally be able to play tunes so never really worried about it.
I got an iphone in June this year and have since left my work, so i don't have the work computer. I decided to start afresh with my itunes account and decided to set up a new account. Unfortunately itunes recognised my name/address and although i set up a new account with a different login, it claimed that i already had an account set up. So i deleted my new account and continue to use my old account.
My music is visible on iTunes, but it will not sync to my iphone as it claims that it 'cannot find the original file' Next to ALL my music has the ! symbol.
To make matters worse, my iphone went slightly wrong, so i went back to the Apple store and they happily replaced the handset for me. Would this effect my itunes considering the 'serial number' has now changed?
Basically i am wondering if i should just start again with itunes? Or can i simply delete all my music on itunes and add new stuff? Also, what will happen when i now plug in my ipod? Surely i can use and ipod and iphone from my itunes account with no problem?
God i didn't realise how bad i am with technology until now!
*** Apple! This is a joke! What kind of programmers create a new OS that does **** like this? No wonder people get annoyed with the brand. No solution seems to work on the ipod touch. I have attempted these solutions to no avail. Are Apple trying to force us to purchase all music through iTunes now?? hmmmm...is this a conspiracy?? very annoying and a very disappointed customer.
Im hoping that someone from Apple actually reviews these items and looks for key words, cos this issue with pretty much no solution and despite me sending an email through to Apple support, which has not been replied to, is one of the worst experiences I have encountered with Apple products. no wonder people keep looking at their competitors!

I now have 5 off occurrences of itunes listed as being open despite the fact that they were all created on 2 off laptops, neither of which has now got itunes activated. I now cannot activate itunes on either. The suggestion is that I cancel itnues activation on either which is rather difficult, obviously? Is there another way to access/ activate itunes?

I accidentally set up two accounts. One account with my old e-mail address which I've been using for years and has all of my purchases on it. Now I have a new account with my current e-mail address. How do I disable this new account? I need to disable the new e-mail address account so that I can add it as an additional e-mail to my old account. THEN, how do I make this new e-mail address my primary e-mail for this old account?
Did yoo go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sign out and sign back in?

Several attempts to upgrade to iTunes 11 have failed. After an upgrade to 11 the error message reads: "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly." At this point--after the upgrade to iTunes 11--my PC running Windows XP loses audio playback for all functions--in iTunes, in the browser and the volume icon disappears from the System Tray. Only by removing iTunes 11, and then using System Restore to turn back the OS settings can I return the PC to normal functioning.
I did that. I reinstalled iTunes 10.5. Everything seemed fine, but when I try to plug in and copy a CD to my iPhone 4S an error message reads roughly: 'iPhone 4S requires iTunes 10.5 or higher to work.'
What might be the problem with my audio configuration?
Why doesn't my iPhone 4S work with iTunes 10.5? It used to work with iTunes 10.5.

My Ipod won't sync to my itunes, it has before but now the button that says 'sync ipod' is grey and won't let me click it. Why is this?
Did anything happen to the computer? It appears that you are trying to sync to another iTunes library since in that case you can only sync with one iTunes library.

I am a newbie...and I think I did a big no-no as my Ipad isn't working. I synced it to a second computer at work which is a new Imac after already syncing to my pc at home with Itunes. Now it says it can't restore and can't get it to open, getting error messages but can't fix myself. Can anyone help??
iPad can connect only in one iTunes Library. If you want to connect it to a iTunes Library then you have to erase it. You can erase it from iTunes. Make sure you iPad doesn't have a password, or if it has a password make sure that you connect to the computer and enter the password of your iPad

I tried updating my iPhone3g through itunes. Now i'm stuck in recovery mode and i've EVERYTHING even websites and such but nothing worked out! I've also tried restarting and fiddling with the home button but nothing still worked. Please help! What should I do??

My MacBook Pro 10.6.8 prompted me of a new itunes update this morning, so i downloaded it. Since then itunes has been starting up randomly on its own, and starts playing the first song on the list. I pause the song, and it resumes it on its own again. I'm not joking. So, I end up quiting out of itunes; but, it starts right back up again on its own. After quiting out of the app a few times, it eventually stops reopening; however, about an hour later (or less) it opens again. HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP? I'm just about to delete itunes, because I've had enough of this crap. I hope someone can help. I've restarted the laptop, and it seemed like that fixed it, then itunes started up doing the same thing again an hour later. ituneshelper is unchecked; bluetooth is off; i only have speakers and a mouse plugged in (also charger).
Read this Apple Discussion Thread and possible solutions. The audio jack has been the main culprit, also certain sync and automation settings including connected remotes.

Recently purchased older powermac G4 at a garage sale. Unable to do anything because owner, that has now moved, did not wipe it clean and everything I try to do requires his password. Is there a way to restore to factory default, make myself admin and reset password? Hoping this purchase wasnt a complete waste of my time and money.

Here's one method to reset the password without the install disc:
1. boot computer and hold the "apple" key and the "s" key.
2. wait for terminal show
3. release keys
4. type without the quotes: "/sbin/mount -uaw"
5. press enter
6. type without the quotes: "rm /var/db/.applesetupdone
7. press enter
8. type without the quotes: "reboot"
9. press enter
This will let you create a new admin account when you reboot your computer.
Also, without the discs, look at Mac OS X Tip - No Password, No Root, No CD? No Problem.

Here is a way to get around not knowing the admin password on Macs.
To reset your OS X password without an OS X CD you need to enter terminal and create a new admin account:
1. Reboot
2. Hold apple + s down after you hear the chime.
3. When you get text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
* mount -uw /
* rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
* shutdown -h now
4. After rebooting you should have a brand new admin account. When you login as the new admin you can simply delete the old one and you’re good to go again!
Not sure is this will work on a Mac running OS 9.

I DOWNLOADED THE UPDATES IT SAID TO DOWNLOAD NOW i CANNOT GET TO THE STORE AND ALSO IT WILL NOT RECOGNIZE MY USERNAME AND PASSWORD TO SIGN IN SO I AM STUCK. IT WILL ALLOW ME TO LISTEN TO MY LIBRARY HOWEVER BUT THIS IS ALL. ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. EVERYTHING WORKED FINE UNTIL THE DOWNLOAD. I DID DELETE ICLOUD BUT I CAN REMEMBER THE OTHER PROGRAM. DOES APPLE HAVE A NUMBER TO CALL
Perhaps the reason that your username and password are not recognised is because you have caps lock on.

Just purchased CC2015 Lightroom & Photoshop following a 30 day free trial. All worked well during the trial but now I have subscribed to the plan and downloaded the latest LR version I am unable to zoom into the images and just get a constant 'loading' box and spinning circle. Also, the whole system is very slow - very frustrating! Any ideas? I am running it on Windows 8.
