All my outlook contacts are now in the Icloud and I need them on my PC

The ICloud has hijacked all my Outlook contacts!  None are on my computer...  how do I get them out of the cloud and back on my PC?

You can manually backup contacts using My Contact Backup and email yourself the backup file and imported to outlook there might also be a separate app to backup calendar.
Have you tried resyncing outlook to iCloud?

My Microsoft outlook contacts are not uploading to icloud.. how do I correct this ?

I also have this problem, just from the iPhone 5s which makes my life crazy, too.
The problem of having multiple devices doesn't seem to help, but the odd part is when everything I am doing is correct, it still doesn't sync like it used to do before iCloud, and when we had to USB wire connect the iPhone to the Laptop to make contacts sync.
Might I add that I am not using MAIL on my LAPTOP?
but ?Britty sounds like her issue is easier as gmail sometimes can create duplicates so you are in good if you are not having that problem or nightmare...
IF ANYONE ELSE can PLEASE ADD to this THREAD? I would be thankful
as there seems to be a TRENDING on iPhone 5s not syncing with other devices or backwards.....(I have added contacts to the iPhone 5s and they never get added to the iCloud or the iPad or the Addressbook or CONTACTS on the LAPTOP....
This should be working and I have checked the CONTACTS on the laptop GROUPS , iCloud, vs ALL ON MY MAC
it just isn't syncing and in some cases I am getting a WEB DAV error or CAL error...-1
what is that? iCloud will not sync all contacts?
    something is crazy
but I want to remain at 10.8 MOUNTAIN LION and not upgrade to MAVERICKS......or use MAIL on my LAPTOP...just CONTACTS ONLY......

    OK...sorry, couldn't delete my last 2 posts...
You can change the default account to iCloud in the Notes settings. This way everytime you make a note it will automatically be in the iCloud folder. Now all I need to do is copy and paste my old notes into new iCloud ones

The default account option in iOS for contacts is missing; while I have multiple account options for mail and contacts are turned on for iCloud and other accounts.  I previously was able to select between my Microsoft Exchange Contacts (work account) and iCloud (personal), but both those options are now gone.  I tried turning contacts for both off and on and rebooting, but it didn't help.  Any ideas?

Just a guess but if the exchange account is from your employer, your employer may have installed a security profile to your device preventing you from adding or editing contacts in the exchange account by removing the Default Account setting.  You would need to check with your employer's IT department to confirm this.  You could also test this by adding a Gmail account and turning on contacts syncing with Gmail to see if the setting reappears.

Try using the app My Contacts Backup, which will back up your contacts as an attachment to an email.  Send this email to yourself, open it on your Mac and double-click the attachment to import them to Address Book (or Contacts if you have Mountain Lion).

  • My family put multiple devices on the icloud, and I need to know how to manage duplicate entries.  Specifically contacts.  If I fix the contact list on my pc will it push the info out to the other devices and maintain it correctly?

All devices signed into the same iCloud account will finish up with the same contacts. Of course if prior to joining iCloud two family members each had an entry for Uncle Fred, then you will finish up with two contact cards for Uncle Fred, and so on. If you tidy this up on your computer then the changes will propagate to everyone else.

  • Is there a way to resort an ipod touch to the point before a restore was done on it? It is telling me there is nothing in the icloud and I need to reset it back up.

s there a way to resort an ipod touch to the point before a restore was done on it? It is telling me there is nothing in the icloud and I need to reset it back up. The reset was done before I could backup the icloud and itunes to the computer and it wasn't done with my permission.

  • Cannot add icloud account to Contacts so all my icloud contacts are stuck on the cloud and I can't actually get them on my desktop imac

So all my devices have my contacts on them from my icloud account.  However on my desktop imac when I go to the Contact application there are none in there.  When I go to the preferences for contacts and try to add the icloud account I get through the login process of user account and password but then nothing else happens, no contacts get added to the imac.  Hmmm.  Now what?

Yes that is all correct.  Now, I think I know why it isn't working, I just don't know how to fix it.  Several years ago before icloud really was up and going I used dropbox to sync my contacts between my computers.  I suspect that is the problem.  WHen I open Contacts in Maverick on my imac it knows there are vcards somewhere and asks if I want to add them.  I click yes but then it sits there and does nothing.  There is no "Library" file that I can find in Maverick to move that old address book file back to the application support file.  That's what I have to figure out.

  • I have no contacts in my outlook contacts file, only in the icloud contacts file and also the same for the outlook calender. I need to synch with a blackberry for both, how do i restore it back?

I have just set up icloud but now have no outlook contacts or calander, only icloud contacts and calender. I need to synch both to a blackberry so how do i restore the original contacts and calander so I can I can synch normally again?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.
Thus, if you get it to work restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup

  • HT3805 When I opened Aperture all of my photos are now in the trash? Help!!

So I open aperture and every photo, some 4000 have been moved to the trash file. They were orginally in dated projects, is there a way to put them back quickly? Please help!!

    And I see this:
What is your Aperture version? I did this with Aperture 3.3.1.
Try, if you see the put back, if you only select a few images, that should be together in the same project.

  • PLEASE HELP - Unable to restore all messages from my backup file (.bbb) - 21800 messages and I need them all

    Hi.
This is not the first time I encountered this issue. The backup file itself is 18.5MB in size. The critical stuff is my 21800 messages (emails for 7 different email accounts). Whenever I do a restore, the DM only reads 13859 messages and unfortunately not in reverse order. So I end up with no emails for the last 7 months! BIG PROBLEM for me! I have done a selective restore. I have done a complete wipe and then a full restore (no success), then deleted all data and tried a selective restore and only selected the messages (still only around 13,500 messages).
There appears to be a limitation around the 13500 mark for messages.
    PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help.

It's been a while since I used Apple's Backup, but you should be able to select "Restore" from within the app to find an iCal backup file. When you find your most recent backup file restore it to your main computer. An iCal backup should look like this: "iCal - 10/31/06.icbu". Once you have the file you can just double click on it and iCal will open and give a warning about overwriting your current database file. You can just select "Revert" to overwrite the current file since you have nothing in it now. Everything should then go back to the state it was in since your last backup. You might lose some of your most recent entries if they were not in the backup, but you should get back most of what you lost. Good Luck!!

Contacts (if you've been using your phone as recommended) are on your computer (outlook, address book) or in a cloud service (Google, mobileMe).  Just synch them back.

  • HT4859 I used ICloud to get my OUTLOOK contacts in to our new IPad and now the Outlook calendar is fine on the PC BUT ALL MY CONTACTS (1200++) are gone from the PC but are in the Ipad. How do i get them back into my PC. Help.

All my contacts are now in my lovely new IPad but they have been whisked out of my PC and I need them back. Is this possible-hope so??

If you can see the iCloud contacts in Outlook, you can copy them back to your PC by selecting all the contacts (click one, then press Control-A), then drag and drop the selected contacts to Contacts under My Contacts on the left sidebar of Outlook.
If you want to copy your calendar back to Outlook, select your iCloud calendar on the left sidebar of Outlook, switch to the list view (select View from the ribbon, then click Change View>List), select your events (click on a single event, then press Control-A), then control drag and drop them to Calendar under My Calendars on the left sidebar.
Then you can sign out of iCloud on the iCloud control panel and your local copies will still be there.  If you want to add your iCloud email account back to iCloud, you can do this with these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864.
